McDonald's in Irvine

“As somebody who also works in customer service, I understand how essential (and difficult [at times]) it is to consistently maintain a positive attitude. That being said, David has easily been one of the best employees I've interacted with. I come here quite frequently, and he always speaks with much enthusiasm. Many of you drive-through folks might know who I'm referring to (yes, the one who is always high energy, be it day or night). I intend to keep coming, because it's those kinds of employees who make it worth it.“

“Usually when I go to McDonald’s, I have a bad experience, but I’ve been going to this one for a few years and the service is always pretty good and the employees have a nice attitude and good customer service skills so I appreciate it.😊“

“Standard McDonald’s with just enough seating and good service. Rest room available for customers. You can order at one of several kiosks or at the counter. This McDonald’s still has a self serve soft drink dispensers. Dining room hours are limited, opening late at 7 am. Given its proximity to Orange County Airport, limited dining room hours are surprising. Drivers through is open earlier and closes later than dining room.“

Its food is generally consistent in taste across branches, with popular items like the Big Mac and Chicken McDo being customer favorites. The prices are affordable, and service is usually fast and efficient. The environment is clean and convenient for quick meals or hangouts. However, some customers find the food less unique compared to local competitors.“

“Great sandwiches but fries are never crispy.

Food - For the past 4 years, I have been going to this location about once a week. I always order through the app and use the drive-thru. The boxed sandwiches (Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, etc.) have always been perfect. They are neatly put together - picture perfect. The wrapped sandwiches (McDouble, cheeseburger, etc) are occassionaly sloppy with the buns misaligned or the ketchup on the outside. This is probably due to the wrapping process, and the sandwiches are otherwise fine.

Staff - The staff is also very professional. For these past few years, there was never a mistake on my orders. To some, this may not seem significant, but I have had plenty of experiences at different stores where I realize that I am missing an item after I get home. That has never happened here. In fact, during the past year, I have began adding condiments (ketchup and extra BBQ sauce) to my app orders, and they provide those exactly. When I request 2 packs of ketchup, I actually get 2 rather than handful.

Negative - There is one major downside to this store. Almost always, the fried food (fries and nuggets) are not crispy or fresh. McDonald's is famous for its fries. If that is what you are looking for, I would not recommend this location. The poor quality of the fries seems to result from a store practice, not an one-time mistake, because this is what I usually experience.
