I used to get Taiyaki down in Torrance CA. I could not find any better locations in the general SGV area, or I.E. I'm so glad to have found a legitimate Taiyaki place!!

Textures are just perfect. Fillings are just right. It's delicious eaten fresh, and eaten later.

“Scrumptious, moist, and irresistible describes the cake I ordered from Some Crust for my mother’s memorial service reception. The cake was impeccably crafted and the designers decorated it in exactly the manner in which we requested, “Not too much.” The frosting was strikingly smooth and the piping adorned only the bottom of the cake, ensuring the decoration was not too much. The colors of the yellow and red roses and the green leaves on top of the cake were tastefully muted and maintained the minimal emphasis of the decorations. My SO really likes the Keshek and Soujouk. In addition to the excellent food, the ambiance is quite pleasant. The staff is nice, and the prices and wait times are very reasonable. So when he gets there, he is getting Conchas and quernos, and he asks her if there is any more bolillo and guess what she said: "Yes, I have a couple left. These are the last ones and they are the small ones. My son brings them home, and they are the big ones. I am glad she gave them to my son. My son is a handsome boy and courteous, so I think she liked him. And gave him those last pieces. That was a blessing. Their bolillo is so good. Mmm. “Stopped by Sobok Sobok for an afternoon snack and can see why it’s been around for so many years.

The coffee buns were fresh and soft with a light coffee aroma. I tried the assorted box and enjoyed how each flavor had its own character without being overly sweet. The cinnamon and yogurt white chocolate were my favorites.

The croffle was crispy on the outside, buttery inside, and paired really well with the pineapple ice cream.

I also ordered the Hibiscus Peach Tea. The peach tasted homemade rather than syrupy, and the tart hibiscus balanced the sweetness nicely. Refreshing and not too sugary.

The shop has a warm neighborhood feel, and the smell of freshly baked bread hits you as soon as you walk in. Definitely a great spot for a coffee break or to pick up pastries to take home.“
