“This is by far the best subway I have been to.I come here at least 3 times a week to get my kid's lunches. The staff are always so pleasant and the store is always clean. I will only go to this location even though there is one closer to my house.“

“This spot in Pasadena is a MUST!!! The restaurant was clean, food was served super fast and was delicious, the cashier and the server provided AMAZING customer service very kind and friendly which made us feel very WELCOMED! I had not visited a restaurant with all of these important details in YEARS!!!! One small detail that I wish they had is a house coffee to perfect their business, I think coffee is essential in these kind of restaurants other than that 1000 out of 10!!!“

“I split The Masterpiece and The Meatball Parm with my sisters. The staff was super friendly and were able to cut the sandwiches into thirds. The Masterpiece had a nice hint of spiciness and I liked the ciabatta. There’s a nice outdoor patio in the back with a water station and anything else you might need. Parking is hard to find but to be expected of the area. A solid gourmet sandwich spot that’s well worth the price. Love Ggiata!“

“Pretty nice place for the size and price. The beef was cooked well, nice and rare. The servers are all very nice and attend to you regularly. If you're looking for atmosphere, they're trying, but it's a small space on a busy street, so "A" for effort. I would go again if I was in the area and wanted all I could eat meat. :)“

“My friend recommended this place for the chicken banh mi and egg roll I tried it It was really good, the chicken was tasty and the bread was soft, not the rubber type bread. I tried the egg roll also it was good but not my favorite. Cash only and it's just to go food.“

“The Hat. My go to for Pastrami sandwiches in the LA area. You can't go wrong. Tasty and huge. Pastrami is tasty but not salty like some places. Simple sandwich with huge pile of pastrami in a roll with mustard and pickles. Fries, chili fries and onion rings great too. For variety, I'll get the pastrami burger. Nothing like a burger with a pile of pastrami on top. You won't be hungry afterwards. This location on Valley and Garfield has outdoor seating only. The service is fast so don't worry about the line. Highly recommend any of the Hats in the LA area.“

“#LosAngeles #Hollywood #Fat_Sals“The abundance of a sandwich filled with filling just for the taste.”America is a sandwich paradise.Even if you just make it at home, it is no better than the delicious sandwich restaurants in Korea for some reason. I think the difference in quality between the bread and the ham and cheese may make a difference in taste. A sandwich restaurant that has been gaining popularity recently in this sandwich paradise is Fat Sal's.I know there are 3-4 branches in LA and nearby areas, and the sign for this place is really attractive. After drooling just by looking at the sign, I gave in to the temptation and visited for lunch with my family.#atmosphereIt has a very casual atmosphere, but the clean, modern interior makes you feel good. There are so many customers. The store is crowded with customers rushing in and people sitting down to eat. Still, the service system was orderly so it wasn't inconvenient.#menuThe menu is well organized on the wall and divided into four main categories.Fat Sandwiches, which are basic sandwiches, are made with a large bread and are filled with ingredients we never thought of. Ham, roast beef, mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken fingers, French fries, etc. The ingredients that seem to be really fat create a new flavor. I give it to youSal's Signature Hero sandwiches use slightly smaller bread and have more popular formats. For example, Philly cheese sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich, etc. I see names that are much more familiar to me.In the hamburger section, there are regular burgers and signature burgers, and you can also see fantastic-looking shakes.#Fat Sandwich: Fat Sal (Pic 1)It is said to be the most popular sandwich.A huge sandwich with roast beef, mozzarella cheese sticks, onion rings, French fries, gravy sauce, and mayonnaise on a large, chewy bread. When you take a bite, various flavors pour into your mouth that you honestly don't know what they taste like. And if you chew for a while, you can feel the taste of roast beef and French fries, and it is a sandwich that is full of rich, light, and salty flavors. It's really delicious, but I feel overwhelmed by its size and contents.Let’s eat today and die.. It’s the perfect sandwich for when you’re in the mood haha. After eating half, I was so full that I had to abstain.#Sal's Signature Hero: Phenomenal Philly Cheesesteak (Pic 2)Sal's sandwich is smaller than the Fat sandwich. (Still, it's Subway size) I ordered a Philly cheese steak. Usually Philly cheese is made with Swiss cheese, but American cheese is used here to give it a more intense flavor.Just by looking at the cut cross section, the temptation of light yellow American cheese is great. The rich meat has just the right amount of chewiness, but it has a slightly salty taste, perhaps because American cheese is used. It was awkward and disappointing, not the lightness of traditional Philly cheese, but it was a great sandwich in terms of taste.#Bread: Hero BreadThis restaurant carries more than 50% of its bread. This bread, called <Hero>, is slightly softer than a baguette and has a chewy texture. In order to add a lot of content, the sandwich is made with a lot of filling, making it a more filling sandwich. I think bread like this would be delicious no matter what ingredients you put in it.#hamburgerIt's an ordinary burger that feels like it was made at home. The ingredients are fresh and they are made right away, so it is much more comfortable than fast food.#ChallengeAs you can tell from the name and food style, this restaurant doesn't care about calories, only taste. So there is a sandwich challenge.A 27-inch sandwich called Big Fat Fatty will be successful if eaten within 10 minutes.Even if you pay me to do it, I don't think I can do it.#SynthesisAmerica is a sandwich paradise, but this rich sandwich is truly unique. It's a sandwich that really feels like you're going straight for the taste alone... If you want to experience a 'Delicious Guys' style sandwich, this would be a go“

“Went there for the first time today with the husband. The place was great had a good atmosphere. The employees where great handled the food properly, quick, friendly. The food was ok, nothing special about it. To me it lacks a bit of seasonings on their fries. We got a double cheeseburger, chili cheese fries with pastrami and pastrami sandwich. The pastrami sandwichs what what I felt was the best. And like I mentioned the service and their organization skills where great! Talk about teamwork. ?“

“Just drove in from San Antonio and stopped in for a bite to eat and we're so glad we did! The Philly cheesesteak was delicious, especially with the jalapeños to give it a little kick. The house salad was super fresh, crisp lettuce and the pepperoni pizza was amazing (crunchy crust).“

“I happened to see one of these on the way to my hotel and it reminded me of the shops they had in Sac. Grabbed a grilled pork bahn mi for lunch with some egg rolls to share. Added a well done egg and loved it. All their sandwiches are really good. I will return if in the area for sure. Great food for a great price“

“I have found that the consistency of the food taste or quality and portions between the many locations I've been to is spot on. The portions are typically more than most people can eat by themselves and the taste will make you attempt it. That brings up price. In My opinion you get what you pay for. Here it's quality AND quantity. You get plenty of both. You won't disappointed. When I arrived, it must've the perfect timing. I was able to park in the 3rd spot on the lot and I didn't have to wait to put my order in. There were a few people already dining and enjoying their lunch. More people were filing in as I waited for food to be ready. By the time I was done and ready to go, the place was packed. Quite the statement of the quality and value people have come to know about The Hat.“

“When I used to live in Burbank, I would take my daughter here all the time. We loved that Pepper Steak sandwich. So, it's been 15 years, and I was in Burbank and took my girlfriend here for her first time. I was so happy to see that the business is thriving and the guys working there are still very friendly. Most importantly, the Pepper Steak sandwich is still amazing! Same quality and it tastes just like I remembered! It's nice to see that a small business is still doing well and hasn't skimped on the quality of their product. Oh, and by the way, my girlfriend is now hooked!! lol“

“Love this place! Super nice folks, REALLY good sandwiches. Their veggie sandwich is next level! Today, a baguette with gruyere and butter sounded good… they got creative and added some arugula, fennel, dressing and their (insanely good) almond topping and it was SO GOOD!! Thanks for being flexible for us non-meat eaters ??. DELICIOUS!“

“Unique and delicious Mediterranean & Middle East food you will never regret to eat there. Food & ingredients are so fresh and tasty makes me want to go back everyday! You cant find better chi khufte in LA. ( probably in the rest of U.S. as well) You can also buy variety of spices and food ingredients from the shop as well. Early breakfast or late brunch my choice would always be Sahags.“
“Betty and her team catered a very special dinner at my house and then a pool party / brunch the next day. This was the single best experience with a caterer I’ve had in all my party planning years — great food, super collaborative (and helpful) planning, highly tailored and themed menu with tremendous creativity and a BLAST having them serve the party. The themed menu and decor were the literal talk of the party and all my friends are following up asking for her contact info. Simply fanstastic.“

“Tony's has been a top sandwich spot for me. I don't usually eat sandwiches, but when I do, this place is the best. My top favorite sandwich is the pastrami with avocado. “Sometimes I feel like sandwiches are a lost art. They're either way too much or not enough. But not here. Only the best sandwiches come out of Wax Paper's pickup window. Some of LA's best bread blankets fresh white turkey in the Terry Gross. The focaccia is the best! The Steve Julian is in the style of a banh mi. The roast pork inside is shredded and mixed with miso aioli so it finishes like a like tuna salad but way more savory. And the baguette is fantastic. They make magic here, with perfectly balanced sandwiches with just the right amount of just the right ingredients. They make the perfect lunch, but honestly, these are delicious any time of day.“

“First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“
“Super great place. Came here for the first time yesterday to get some donuts for my coworkers and everyone loved them, I especially loved the crumb donut. Came by this morning and got turkey, egg, cheese croissant sandwich and it's huge, delicious, and very fair price! The staff are super friendly and very pleasant in the morning. It's really nice coming in the morning and being greeted by them. The guy working there in the morning was also very helpful and accommodating when I asked him to just give me a random assortment of 2 dozen donuts. I think I'll make this my go to spot if I need something to eat before work since it's way better food and WAY better price than Starbucks or McDonald's these days.“

“I liked this cute coffee shop because it’s so calm and serene “mountain living” type of feel in the forest tundra type of California living place…feels wonderful to sit down in the outdoor sitting with the solid color awning umbrellas and the “basket woven material” chairs that remind me of Paris coffee shops. Parking was so pleasantly available and there wasn’t much city fuss, no crazy noise, no people trying to push their agendas just coffee, food, birds and cutesie mountain living….sigh“

“The staff at this location are so sweet and kind. When my order got a little backed up, they refunded me as a courtesy (which was completely unexpected and I never would have even asked for that). When we were leaving, they wouldn't even let us clean up after ourselves and told us they were happy to take care of it. Such a surprisingly nice experience here.“
“every year i file my taxes in this plaza and would get a banh mi sandwich here but now realizing why don't i go here more often?! the banh mi is only $5 compared to other places which are $7+ i believe. i haven't tried their other meals but it's just nice to support a small business. i had my very first banh mi here back in 2010 and again in 2024, nothing has changed. it's warm and toasted which good variety of meat. it taste fresh. will definitely be trying the other foods and drinks here!! Cash Only!“

“The food here was ok it could possibly be better though. I ordered a spicy chicken burger. But it was not spicy at all. It had zero % spicy sensation ?. I ordered a spicy chicken wing too and it was the same as the burger. I think they might of gotten the order wrong or it is not spicy at all. That Ice Black Tea drink is super delicious. I always try to drink it with extra water because it is sugary.I appreciate the service here.“

“This is one of situations where I "found" this place again after many years. Used to come her back in the 80s when I worked in this area. Almost weekly. Great big menu, lots of great sandwiches, soup, chili and even dessert. Meatless sandwich options too. Ordered the Tomato Bisque Soup, an amazing Turkey Avocado on focaccia and a Pastrami Sandwich, on rye made the traditional way. No pickles. Great little shop, family owned. When he described his father I knew that was the man I used to order from back in the day. Walls show plaques and pictures showing their contributions to the community such as sponsoring many baseball teams and a proud sponsor of dozens of Rose Bowl Parade floats. A grade, clean, plenty of seating but for the most part I think people get it to go. Still can't believe it's been here for this long and I was here 40 yrs ago. . Yelp hours are incorrect, better call and see. Also closed Sunday and Monday now. Prices were very cheap, however the owner stated the menu is changing soon. Seems like this is the last place to raise their prices like everyone else's. Def worth a visit. When back the next day and got a Tuna Melt which was also good. Best around. Nostalgia helps“
