I could have kept eating the paella forever! We chose to try the squid ink paella (which they're known for) and it was a great choice, would need to come back for the seafood paella (which I saw at the next table and looked delicious) but you can't go wrong with either. They also have some good sangria so that was great. Cute date spot with delicious food and great service! Parking can be hit or miss but street parking is definitely available.

I would avoid Otoño. I booked a reservation for 5 people and unfortunately had to cancel. I called the restaurant to let them know I could not make it. The assured me I would not be charged the cancellation charge of $125. But of course they did. I've emailed to discuss with no response. I then disputed the charge. Otoño had the time to send all the dispute info to my credit card and claim it is a valid charge. But still did not respond to several emails and calls. It looks like from other reviews I actually saved money by not showing up.

One of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is consistently great, the bar program is creative, the service is friendly, and the vibe is chill and fun (especially on the patio and at the bar). Unlike almost all restaurants serving small plates they do not make you order everything at once or rush out the food, so meals here feel luxuriously relaxed. You can't really go wrong with the menu but in particular do not miss the boquerones y mantequilla, which is a brilliant dish.

Outstanding food and service! Went with the chef's tasting menu for a first visit and was not disappointed innthe least!

Came here with my cousins and I have to say this is probably the first time I've had good Spanish style food! The croquettes, chicken liver patte and churro was something Ive never had before since I'm use to a more traditional sweet churro with brown sugar and cinnamon. The paella was great and the toasted rice on the bottom aka soccerat was cooked perfectly. The octopus and fingerling potatoes were great as well as I haven't had octopus so tender before. The oxtail with the buttercream squash was next level, the dam oxtail came off the bone and the buttercream squash just complimented it so well.

An elevated culinary experience with tapas in the already diversed atmosphere of Highland Park makes a mark into the realm of modern fine dining. There is a extensive size bar making some fine concotions. You would think that would be the focus. Like the bar the dining room is also narrow with 2x2 tables lined along the wall. The seating is smart, but may not accomodate large party. Kudos to the atmosphere designed for intimate dining, but an alternative illumination may be required to read the crafted menu. What you're paying here might be your focus. The menu is small plates with an emphasis on small. With the exception of the delectable Paella, much of the selection is designed for a 2 person taste. Come hungry and you might find yourself looking elsewhere once the tapas experience ends. Each and every dish is well crafted and balanced. There is an artform here designed to impress.

Don't have enough good things to say about this place. Our server...trevor? Travis? was incredibly nice and knew their menu. Their gin cocktails were 10/10, food did not disappoint. We ordered everything he recommended and we left full and very satisfied! Can't wait to go back. Faves: -Pan con Tomate With Jamon Iberico -Croquetas de jamon -Churros de patatas bravas -Paella Negra Would not get again: -La Achicoria -Solomillo a la Parilla

Bartenders were rude and unwelcoming. Killed the vibe. Food was good but not worth the vibe.

Tried the tasting menu at the recommendation of the waiter and it was absolutely worth it. Six courses including dessert. Well balanced flavors, good mix of preparation (grilled, fried, etc), and best octopus we’ve ever had. We were sat in the back next to the wine shelves, which was ideal for a quieter dining experience on the weekend. Seems like a good place to bring up to six people. Plenty of parking lots nearby as well.

Came in around 5:15 and sat at the bar for happy hour where we started with a beer and the pan con tomate. When the Mixto frito came out, we were then seated at our own table for two where they dimmed the lights for an enjoyable experience. Tyler was quick to bring us our choice of water (sparkling, spring, or tap). We chose spring. Tyler then moved to explaining the menu and how it breaks down into four parts. We went with the six course meal as the quick choice dinner for two. It's more of a tasting menu. Food comes out pretty quick but not too quick where you're overwhelmed. They go at your pace which is nice. Allows time for you to carry a pleasant conversation with the significant other. As I type this, the pulpo a la brasa came out. While I expected some chewy tentacle, I was surprised by how tender it was. The flavor!? Amazing. Right amount of char to complement that soft meaty flesh. Wish there was more on the plate though. Now for the Paella! I normally go for the seafood paella when it's on the menu. Today we went with a mushroom paella. It was a bit oily for me but I could be that the vegetables don't absorb the oils like the seafood does. It was good though. Don't let me steer you wrong. While you might think this won't fill you up, I guarantee the paella will do the trick. Of course you'll still have room for the churros for dessert. Too soft for me being that it's fresh out the kitchen. Overall it's a nice place to visit at least once while you're in the ol neighborhood which is Highland Park. Or for the locals, HLP.

Every single dish that came out was cold. The cocktails were great and our server was amazing. We could tell he felt really bad that our bite size dishes were taking incredibly long to arrive. You'd think that an entree of 2.5 ounces of fish could be prepared in under 45 minutes. The fried seafood appetizer could be ordered at any fish and ships shack except maybe it would be warm there. The ambiance was fine no complaints. After spending over $300 we had to go get pizza down the street because we were still hungry from these incredibly small and cold portions. You seriously could not pay me $500 cash to dine here ever again.

Unfortunately left hungry after a $270 bill of the Valentine's Day special course plus 2 drinks, one being a mocktail (with tax, tip, and fees). Everything tasted good, but portions were too small for us. The duck course was literally 2 bites per person. I think if we each had a plate of it and an addition of some kind of carb it would've been better. Service was good but not notable. For Valentines Day I always expect to pay more than a typical night out, especially for a special course menu. But to leave hungry and underwhelmed (no valentines ambience either) left me regretting booking this particular restaurant.
