In the heart of Historic Filipinotown lies this gem of a restaurant, most of the things in the menu are mostly savory meaty dishes from pork , beef, chicken and shrimp. Truly a vegan's nightmare, I suggest having a maja blanca for non meat eaters (good luck with the dairy though), most dishes are served with rice with Java rice as an option together with sweet sour papaya salad (atchara) and condiments accompanying the dishes making it an enjoyable meal. First time visit. This is a Filipino restaurant that serves various grilled meats. I had no trouble with street parking. I ordered the lechon and grilled chicken combo, which came with rice. The lechon was a bit too fatty for my preference but the meat itself was good. The grilled chicken had a nice savory flavor to it and was tender. Like most Filipinos, I'm pretty picky with Filipino restaurant food but this place is decent. We ordered the palabok and lechon kawali. Palabok is not included in the combo deal so for both, our total was about $27 which is pretty reasonable pricing by LA standards. There was a generous amount of meat on the palabok.
