All Seasons Catering Caterers • $$
201 Seminary Dr, Mill Valley

“We had a great experience working with Rachael and All Seasons Catering during our (rescheduled) COVID wedding, and the food could not have been more beautiful and delicious. So many guests made a point of telling us how wonderful our wedding food was, and we completely agree! We love the fact that our wedding food is something we will always remember about our day, and it helped show off the amazing flavors and ingredients of the season for both our local and out-of-town guests. From the appetizers to the bar to the amazing service and food, All Seasons Catering aced it. Rachael was so responsive, organized, and supportive throughout our 2 years of wedding planning during a pandemic. She even found a way to serve our non-conventional dessert of ice cream sandwiches and ensure that they would get eaten and not just melt into a pile. She also made sure to bring us a plate of appetizers while we finished up our family photos, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. Even with a day-before change to the tables and most likely many other things that we didn't even know about, the ASC team handled everything so calmly and with such warmth and attentiveness. They truly made our evening beautiful, delicious and relaxing, and we loved having them as part of our much-awaited wedding!“

“Mashaallah started out as a food truck but now has a stall in the food court of Westfield San Francisco. Despite its humble appearance, this small business offered some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the city from its steam table of freshly-prepared meat and vegetable curries. A star dish here (which came recommended by Soleil Ho) was the Lamb Korma, made of super tender, lean, meaty chunks of lamb in a spiced curry. On my combination plate, I also got the Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and the Palak Paneer (cheese cubes in a velvety puréed spinach sauce), served along with rice. Every item was delicately spiced and flavorful without being too salty, and the garnishes of raw onion and cilantro brought out the freshness of the dishes. On the side, I also had an order of Garlic Naan (another star item), which was perfectly soft and chewy and had a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic and herbs. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious, and the owners were so friendly and hospitable too!“

They're authentic people and they genuinely want you to enjoy your beverage and your visit -- and they're great at helping you do both! A Fork Full of Earth Organic Catering Caterers •
40 Kensington Rd, San Anselmo - 4.53 miles

“Attended a micro "Leap Wedding" on February 29th at Mansion on Sutter and A Fork Full of Earth was the caterer. I and everyone else was just blown away by how amazing this food is! We had a five course meal and every course was better than the last. My only complaint is that I couldn't physically fit more of it inside my body! We started with warm olives and bread (yes, first time for me eating warm olives) and it was perfection. Moved on to the pear and arugula salad, and then to the scallops. Each plate was delightful, really beautiful to look at and tasted like heaven. Our fourth course was the lemon and ricotta ravioli that I will dream about and finally I chose the braised short ribs with sweet potato mash for my main course and it literally fell apart it was so tender. The whole experience is one I won't soon forget and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff that worked so hard and were so polite. Job well done!“

“Amidst the bustling culinary landscape of our fair city, there exists a dining establishment that transcends both time and tradition, a place known as "Tender Tenders." With a tagline that boldly proclaims "the best tenders in history," one must prepare for a gastronomic voyage like no other. Yet, dear reader, beneath this alluring veneer of culinary excellence, a whisper of enigmatic intrigue weaves its way through the hallowed corridors of this establishment. As I ventured into the ethereal confines of Tender Tenders, I was immediately captivated by its opulent décor, reminiscent of a bygone era. The ghostly candlelight flickered gently upon the aged wooden beams and timeworn maritime artifacts, a testament to a history rich in maritime lore. Little did I know that these antiquities concealed a secret; one whispered among the city's culinary cognoscenti—an owner of otherworldly origin, a spectral pirate from an ancient past. The menu, a veritable parchment of maritime marvels, beckoned me forth into the unknown. The star attraction, as promised by the restaurant's bold claim, was their legendary tenders. The Ghostly Captain's Signature Tenders, to be precise. These tender morsels of succulent chicken, dressed in a whisper-thin, ethereal batter, were a revelation. Each bite was an exquisite dance of flavors, a fusion of culinary prowess and spectral mystique. One could almost hear the distant creaking of a phantom ship's timbers as the flavors unfolded on the palate. The spectral touch extended beyond the tenders themselves. The sides, such as the Ghostly Slaw and Haunted Fries, bore the unmistakable mark of a chef who had transcended the boundaries of time and space to deliver a dining experience unlike any other. The coleslaw, with its delicate balance of tang and creaminess, invoked the nostalgia of long-lost seafaring feasts. The fries, crisp and golden, seemed to carry with them the echoes of a pirate's treasure chest. The service, though subtly imbued with an air of otherworldly mystery, was impeccable. The staff, who moved with an uncanny grace, attended to every need with an almost preternatural intuition. One could almost believe that they were spectral apparitions themselves, orchestrating a symphony of culinary delight.Dessert, too, bore the unmistakable mark of the Ghostly Captain's mastery. The Phantom Parfait, a delicate confection of ethereal creams and mysterious fruits, left me in a state of culinary rapture. It was as if the very essence of the ghostly owner had been captured in this final course. As I departed Tender Tenders, I couldn't help but ponder the enigmatic figure that is the restaurant's owner—a ghostly pirate from an ancient past. It was as if his spirit lingered in every corner, infusing the restaurant with a unique blend of history, mystery, and gastronomic excellence. Tender Tenders, with its extraordinary tenders and spectral ambiance, is a dining experience that defies both time and convention. It is a place where the boundaries between the living and the spectral blur, and where culinary mastery meets spectral enigma. A true Michelin star establishment that transcends the ordinary and beckons the adventurous diner to embark on a journey of taste and intrigue like no other.“

“Burke & Black served it up for us at our event. We had unique, rich, and amazing charcuterie boards for our Black & Brown Founders Fundraiser. I was hosting the event and when I finally got a chance to eat, everyone was actively grazing over the options and trying everything. I was feeling impatient about not being able to get to the food, but happy to see everyone enjoying it. Nicole is amazing and she really picked some unique varieties that come together so well. Based off our experience at our fundraiser event, I highly recommend her.“

K Five Fifty Cafe • $
550 Kearny St, San Francisco - 10.94 miles

“Staying in Chinatown, it was harder to find a vegetarian breakfast/brunch nearby than I expected. K Five Fifty is an unassuming counter in the expansive lobby of 550 Kearny. Turns out it's a full kitchen with a chef cooking to order, although some items are packaged for grab and go. The menu is brief but flexible. I had the avocado toast. It includes poached eggs, but he was happy to scramble them for me. I'm guessing you can make this vegan by swapping the eggs for one of the sides. Friendly proprietor, great service, and excellent value. All the ingredients were fresh and the toast was an excellent crispy whole grain sour dough that held up to the thick avocado. As far as ambiance, I was content to chill out and read to the sound of the chef chopping his mis en place and the muted lobby muzak.“

Corazon Maya Tacos • $
495 De Haro St, San Francisco - 12.58 miles

“The best taco in the Potrero Hill + Mission Bay neighborhood. The quality of the meats and salsas are outstanding - much better than some nearby restaurants, despite being a food truck. They put a lot of effort into picking a really nice spice blend, and the meats are grilled to a nice crispy texture. I recommend getting a sampler of several different tacos, as each meat is cooked in a slightly different way, yet all are very good. If you are more hungry, I recommend the pastor super burrito, which was the the best pastor burrito I've ever had.The prices are rather cheap for San Francisco. The asada super burrito, which contains avocado and comes with chips+ salsa, only costs $12. However, most competitors charge at least $14 for the same thing (including Chipotle which charges $15.35). This may sound weird, but I hope they can become popular enough to raise their prices. They deserve it.My main criticism is that the cochinita and poc-chuc tacos are a bit more expensive than the standard asada/pollo/pastor tacos, but I don't think that they taste significantly better than the rest. Also, I do wish they came to Potrero Hill more frequently, but I understand they need to serve other parts of the city as well. For comparison, the main competitors in the neighborhood are El Toyonase (which has an outstanding tripe burrito, but nothing else noteworthy), Street Taco (which also has an outstanding "meat only" street burrito, despite having lower quality meat), and Senior Sisig/Los Kuyas (which both have a unique fusion flavor, but are a bit too greasy and not as "fresh" tasting).“

Jessie & Laurent Meal Delivery • $$$
1945 Francisco Boulevard East STE 32, San Rafael - 4.16 miles

“I just started ordering from Jessie and Laurent's prepared food service and so far so good! I've had two deliveries and ordered my third delivery this week. The food is fresh and gets delivered to your doorstep in a cooler bag with ice packs inside. They also text you so you know when the driver is close and when the food is delivered. The delivery also includes a menu of the food you ordered and how to serve or heat up each dish. If you don't plan to eat some of the food right away you can freeze certain dishes and then thaw and heat up when ready. I did that for several meals and they still tasted delicious! I also love the fresh salads (not freezable), the homemade desserts and yummy cold brew coffee they sell. I highly recommend this company if you don't have time to cook dinner every night and/or you want some fresh prepared salads to pack for lunch. Jessie and Laurent delivers healthy and delicious prepared foods!“
