“I have lived 5 minutes away from this ramen shop since mid-2022. And it wasn't until an idyllic PTO-fueled Monday afternoon that I bothered to check this place out. In my 5 years living in SoCal, I've tried countless ramen shops and they all were great and stand out in one way or another. I've baptized ramen as “The only soup worth eating” and this shop further proves the veracity, authenticity and validity of that statement. The broth is rich, the pork chasu is cooked to perfection, the thin noodles have the right amount of chew and the gyoza is flavorful. Nothing that you could not find at any other competent ramen shop, such as Hiro Nori, but this is located at the heart of Old Pasadena, the locale gives it a boost from 4 stars to 5 stars. I do wish they also offered Tsukemen, though.“

“When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious.The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles.We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“

“Good food, tablets when you walk in to order your ramen. The handful of options were all good. Came in with a group, and there wasn't really much seating. They also forgot our drinks but we immediately on it when we mentioned it. Great place for take away or solo, but might want to look elsewhere for a group of 4 or more.“

“The best food and the best service! This is our third time coming here and nothing ever misses. The lunch is always a great vibe! This last time was with a big party of 8 and it was all handled seamlessly and everyone loved their meals, so thought it was time to give them a shoutout! Of the 3 times we've had the same server (Adrian) and they are truly such a special server happy to be there and be helpful! We couldn't remember if we like the shiro or shouyo more and they were helping us trying to figure it out, was super sweet and funny!! Thank you again!!!“

“Hands down the best Mazesoba in town! Firm warm noodles with eggs that enhances texture. Topped with their special tan-tan style sauce and finished with chives, green onions, ginger and all that good stuff. Super friendly and attentive staff although I personally prefer getting it to go thanks to the speedy service. An interesting menu item is their signature Mazesoba but mixed in with curry sauce. You would think the curry would overpower the noodles but the taste still stands strong and shines through the curry to form something incredibly unique. Definitely worth trying if you're ever nearby.“

“Excellent Ramen, Kyushu Style Noodles (thin and not overcooked) The Soup was unexpectedly delicious, inspired to the Tonkotsu Pork Broth. I lived in Japan two years and this the first time I find something so authentic, comparable to the Original Japanese Ramen. Overal Super Recommended!!!“

“I ordered the chicken ramen, comes with seaweed, boiled egg, corn, green onions and your choice of protein. I thought the ramen was very good. Only issues were there is no complimentary parking so you have to pay for valet which is 6$. With the already expensive ramen be prepared to spend about 40-50$ for two people.“

“This place is clean, with a great welcoming ambiance. We tried the chicken curlet curry and beef curry. the portions they give are huge! The chicken cutlet was crispy outside and soft inside, the beef is soft with a brown curry. The staff here are all friendly and attentive. Will definately be back! “4/5 stars (Vegetarian here for a plant-based/vegan review):We visited Suehiro Mini in Chinatown after the Chinatown Neighborhood Night Market hosted by CCEDLA in October, but I'm posting this review after learning that Suehiro's Little Tokyo location is facing eviction. Suehiro is a small family run restaurant chain with two generations of history, and the location in Chinatown has a smaller menu and storefront than its other locations.We were seated around 10:30 pm and the store wasn't too busy but it took us around 20 minutes to get our orders in and another 20 for the food to come out. Service is on the slower side so if you're on a time crunch definitely factor that in! There are four vegan options: vegan tomato ramen, vegan mapo don, vegan vegetable udon, and vegan yakisoba. I ordered the vegan tomato ramen. The broth was super thick and flavorful, and topped with fried and battered zucchini, tomato, and eggplants. While the portion sizes are quite large, the broth had a bit of a one note flavor and wasn't able to continue eating after I got through half. They have to-go containers so I was able to bring home the rest and it served as another meal. My friends ordered a Haiyashi Rice and Curry Rice and both really enjoyed their meal too. Their portions seemed even bigger, so if you have a small appetite I recommend sharing! Though service wasn't the quickest, we still enjoyed our meal, and I would love to return to try the other vegan options. If you're in the Chinatown area, try this ramen spot (as well as other small legacy businesses who are being pushed out by wealthier corporations that are actively working on gentrifying Chinatown).“

“Best Ramen in Silver Lake. The broth is uncious and satisfying. If you have no allergies, get the egg (I add dried seaweed as well). Large servings even at the smaller portion price point. Inside dining is tight, but outside heating does the trick.“

“Awesome place to get some great tasting ramen! The restaurant was nicely decorated, the staff extremely friendly and of course, the food tasted great. We had the veggie king ramen with an egg add on and spice level 3. Very good. I would definitely add a higher spice next time I go. They have a cool custom menu that you fill out while waiting in line to stream line the process. Big fan of the organization! Highly recommend.“

“We came here on a Tuesday night looking for a quick but savory meal. It was busy but there were some seats open. casual place. The food came out quite quickly, and as a whole it was very good. We got chicken kaarage, which was a good portion for its price. The accompanying spicy mayo was unexpectedly quite nice. boy got the blaze, which he really liked. I got the classic ramen, which was flavorful and not too salty. The noodles were cooked very well, and the broth warmed me nicely. I have came here before craving the tsukemen, and it is for the most part quite good but always ends up tasting very salty by the end. will probably still come back and order it again though.“

“Came here on a whim while running errands in the area. The portions here are HUGE. I ordered three specialty rolls - tempura Cali, hungry man, and the spider roll. The server said “It’s a lot of food, are you sure?” And I was like “Pffft. Challenge accepted. I haven’t eaten today.”DUDE. She was not kidding! As soon as I saw the first roll come out I knew I was in trouble. I think I still made a sizable dent (about half of each roll), but as you can see, the to go box is still packed full anyway.The service was fast and my server was very sweet. “We love this place :) The older gentleman who works there is always very friendly and helpful. It feels like a mom and pop restaurant, very cosy. I usually get udon and the popcorn roll and my partner gets the bento box. We've tried most of the dishes and enjoy them all. We keep coming back not only for the food but the warm welcome from the adorable older man who works there, he reminds us of our grandpa :)“

“I've never really had Ramen before, but I am officially a fan after coming here. The service was on point the same lady was assisting all four tables with complete ease. She was refilling everyone's water asking if we needed anything. She was on top of all of it even answering the phone and just from hearing other people telling her that they enjoy the meals I know it's not just me saying it. I think it's safe to say everyone in there had a great meal tonight. The restaurant itself is not too big. There is about six or seven tables in there with several chairs to each table and comfy couches to sit on. It's not the biggest restaurant but it's perfect the way it is all of the Naruto decor was pretty cool to see too. I love how they had pictures up and drawings up. It just made it feel more homelike and I appreciate that vibe. I ordered the udon noodles in my Ramen because I prefer the thicker noodles and was not disappointed at all super yummy. Super tasty. Lots of flavor packed into the bowl. Nothing was overpowering as a perfect amount of flavor. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time tonight.“

“Hakata Ikkousha Ramen is in my top 3 of favorite ramen restaurants in LA. Specifically the black devil ramen, which is my go to order. The fusion of the garlic from the black tonkatsu and the spice from the god fire makes the perfect broth. Chasu is thin, and the egg is cooked perfect with the yolk runny. I go in on the noodles and order kaedama (extra noodles) for only $2 more. I order the noodles hard with the spicy level 3. I have a high spice tolerance, so 3 is perfect for that kick and very enjoyable. At times I get level 4 spicy but it can overpower the black tonkatsu broth because it's pretty spicy. 5-star ramen, excellent choice for a cold night! All the staff are enthusiastic and just overall a great authentic ramen experience. The restaurant is small so prepare to wait at least 25 -45min for dinner.“

“This place is a gem. You can tell the owner cares about the food, if you come here and it's a long wait, that's the reason. Fortunately for me my food was prepared quickly and it was SOOOOOO GOOD! had the tofu ramen, my partner didn't love the broth, but my kid and I did. Regarless, the tofu was crispy and all the flavors worked. We also had the black serpent roll. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD Fantastic flavor. I ordered the bulgogi bowl. And wow wow wow. So freaking good. “Oh man it's been a while since I was excited for Japanese food. This place definitely hit the spot on a rainy day. The rubber ducky decor elevated the experience to an 11/10. We ordered the chicken karage, katsudon don, and soba noodles with tempura on the side. Lemme tell you, we were STUFFED. They were hecking busy when we went and everyone's food looked so amazing. “I do not eat ramen. This day I ate ramen. Didn't really try the noodles but I enjoyed the broth and pork. Rdawg got his spicy And me and the boy settled for mild which still had a hint of spice. They have huge yummy onigiri. Salmon, radish, stew pork, and tuna We will be back even though Rdawg says the broth is not rich in flavor as hiro nori.“

“Took the A line from work. Subway drops you off on the other side of Honda Plaza. Great ramen really enjoyed the amount of noodles and two kinds of pork; sliced and belly. The broth was excellent and comforting. I added chili sauce and an order of gyoza and a Sapporo. $17 for a bowl of Tokushima Ramen. Very delicious.“

“Literally my favorite sushi restaurant hands down!! The service is great, and the ambiance is casual. The fish is always extremely fresh and so are the appetizers. I'm extremely picky and if I get a weird smell from fish I will NEVER eat from a restaurant again, but not once have I had that experience. Even when they are super busy, the service is spot on. The only thing I would change about Sushi Corner, is that they have certain times of when they are open and closed with a gap in the middle- I'm guessing that's for lunch; but even then, I'd recommend them not closing for lunch and just taking turns. Regardless, I will always continue to enjoy sushi here and continue to recommend it to my friends and family.“

The sides were available as an add on at $2.50 each. There wasn't too much of a wait as groups come and go fairly quickly. “The ramen was nice and comforting on a cold day. I had the tonkotsu umi ramen, which was exactly what I was looking for in a ramen. I appreciate when chefs do not overcomplicate things and focus on good flavor. My friend had the shio ramen, which was nice and light. My favorite part of the meal had to be the yuzu sherbet though. It was refreshing and not too sweet! The wait was about 25 minutes, but it felt longer because we were out in the wind the whole time. Since the shop was so busy I did not expect super attentive service, but I do not fault them for it. I would love to eat here again. The menu had spicy vegan options for ramen that looked delicious! I’ll have to try that another time.“

“First time eating here; very impressed. Service was friendly and prompt. I had Kimchi Ramen, which was as spicy as promised. The pork was cooked perfectly, IMO - tender, and so tasty. The Kimchi was also good, and that spicy broth was just what I was looking for. My husband had Veggie Ramen with Kale Noodles. He liked it a lot. The broth was miso based (being appropriate for Vegans), which he liked, and he preferred the texture of the kale noodles to my regular flour noodles. It was supposed to come with raw tofu, but unfortunately that was accidentally left out. Mentioned it to the super nice person who helped us, and she deducted $2 from our bill. He should have said something immediately, but forgot it should've had tofu, until he saw the bill. Overall an excellent experience.“
