“I don't often see bành xeo Vietnamese crepes on the menu, and I am very happy to find them done well. Delicious crepe with crispy edges, generously filled with shrimp and pork (I chose not to have squid) served with fresh herbs and lettuce wrap. Yummy, I'll be back!“

“Been waiting for this place to open! Really good bahn mi sandwich. The pork is the best I've had in my life!!! Perfectly seasoned...perfectly cooked! My new favorite place. The wait was worth it. The people were kind, accommodating and full of smiles. It's Saturday night. I sure wish they were open now..about 9pm. I'd get dressed and drive for a couple of those sandwiches.Vegetarian options: It was my very first time there after watching the "coming soon" signs for quite awhile. I originally ordered the tofu banh mi. It was delicious. However, the owner offered a sample of the roast pork............and I cleaned the plate. It was delicious.“

“Yesterday I purchased a bunch of food i've never been to this place before. Brought it home and just yum yum all night long. The owners are beautiful people with their beautiful baby. And I am so proud of them. A young couple with a new business and a new baby can show people how it should be done. And the food was fantastic, the coconut prawns, The green curry either chicken and prawns over rice.I will be back. The restaurant was so clean. You can smell the bleach. I am so happy when I walk in and I can smell bleach. Knowing that the place is clean and sanitized.“

“This place has been around since I was young and it's only barely increased in price. They could honestly charge double if they wanted - the service is lightning fast, the sandwiches are delicious and filling. Be nice to the proprietor, he's been hustling for decades.“

“This place came recommended from a co worker. I finally got a chance to check it out. Rookie mistake. If you're trying to order take out make sure you call ahead. This place was jumping! Lots of people picking up orders. I waited a bit, but that was my fault. The staff were friendly and trying their best to keep up. The dine in area was just as busy. But has a nice flow to it. The food was good. Above average flavors. Food was piping hot. I will definitely go back to try something else.“

“Great service, great food, great ambience, and huge parking lot. What more to ask for? Had the Bun Bo Hue, perfect for the current weather. The broth was awesome, definitely would've had a second bowl if I didn't scarf down their appetizers. The Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings had the perfect crisp to it, their Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls were refreshing, and the Cambodian Beef Skewers had me wanting more. Definitely recommending this place to my friends in the Bay Area! And most definitely stopping by for their Vietnamese Iced Coffee whenever I visit my parents in Sac. 5/5 for me, hands down! Can't wait to go back!“

“I'm not a huge Pho fan but this spot changed my mind! I ordered the lunch special for $13. Well done thin steak pho with egg noodle instead of rice noodle that came with two veggie spring roll. The bowl came out super hot, very fresh tasting, clean tasting meat and the broth was extra flavorful! Not bland at all!! Definitely recommend to all friends and families!!!“

“I'm a sucker for Banh Mi's & Vermicelli Bowls, and especially local businesses that are a community staple! This is the perfect place for a quick bite with your loved ones. I was lucky enough to visit on a sunny day & sat outside to enjoy the weather as well as the freshness of the food. I added pate to each of my sandwiches & they were perfect, the baguette was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The vermicelli bowl was also a great dish that's so flavorful and refreshing. I forever have a love for cafes that cultivate a homey environment; shout out to the awesome staff! Thank you Kim's Cafe, I always look forward to visit.“

“One of the better Pho restaurants in the area. Great portions and more meat than noodle ratio. Plenty of broth and piping hot. Decent flavor but not the best I've had. Tasted good but could use more spices. Five stars because everything else was outstanding. Servers were attentive and wanted to ensure everything was right. Clean bathrooms“

“I love coming here especially on a cold day or if I'm feeling a bit sick because the pho is so healing. It's very casual and service is always fast. You order at the counter and grab a number before finding a seat. I always get the pho with well done flank steak. The broth is some of the best I've had in Berkeley and the portions are huge. Also the prices are reasonable especially for the size of the bowls.“

“My favorite Pho spot in Vallejo! The broth is amazing, the owner/chef explained to us the process and the quality ingredients he puts into his food and we've been hooked ever since! The ice milk coffee that aunty there makes is the best, grandma makes the Banh Mi sandwiches, and the spicy garlic chicken wings are Addicting! The eggrolls are consistently good too, can't go wrong here, I stop by weekly! You won't be disappointed“

“I was feeling kind of sick and really craving some pho and this was the only place near campus, I’m so glad I went! The pho here is really delicious I came back the next day to get more. I’ve never been a big fan of pho but this was game changing. The workers entertained my different questions about the various dishes and checked in with me to make sure I like it. Highly recommend :)“

“Came here with my bf to eat before shopping at 99 Ranch. We ordered egg rolls for the appetizer. I got the rare steak & tripe beef soup w/ shrimp. BOMB!! My bf got pork rice plate which he also finished. I was so hungry I didn't get any pics :( Price is good and the food is really good too. I would recommend to try it. We'll be back.“
“Been here a few times, and each time the food has been great. I've tried their beef banh mi, egg rolls, spring rolls, calamari, chicken wings bun Bo hue and of course their pho. All have been pretty good, especially considering this is the ONLY local pho place that doesn't close super early when you need something warm and comforting after work. Notable highlights from the food- I must say, I've sampled some bun Bo hue all over the local area and this place is the best I've had without having to go all the way to Oakland. And even then, it's been just as good as some of the "famous" spots for bun Bo hue. The pho is always piping hot and they don't skimp on the meat!! They seem to hold the bowls in some kind of clay holder that keeps the soup warmer longer, which was a nice touch I've never experienced in a Vietnamese restaurant. Service, this is definitely a family restaurant of sorts and the waitresses/waiters are a little older and may need to be graced with some patience when you want to get their attention. But once you have it they're the absolute sweetest! Very kind and welcoming crew. The restaurant itself is nice and spacious with a few tvs to keep a single patron company while they wait for their meal, which never takes too long. All in all, this is a great stop to make when you don't want to travel too far for some good comforting food. I definitely plan on being a regular here!“

“We really enjoyed the food, wouldn't eat it as a weekend treat but found it hearty and healthy. Things we would definitely order again:Spicy pork with rice: although the broccolini has some very tough stems and was not the most enjoyable, my partner felt it was tasty and nourishing. He ordered it with double pork but wouldn't double next time because the portion of meat is enough for a dinner. He liked the vinaigrette sauce, which is not spicy, both of us enjoyed it. He preferred pork to chicken. Chicken bowl: the chicken was generally tender although with some gristly pieces. It has a marinade that is quite sweet, and the meat is cut in long spearlike chunks that are much more than a mouthful, so eating it with a fork is awkward. I didn't like the sweetness of the peanut sauce and it had an unpleasant aftertaste for me, maybe the herbs? But overall would eat chicken bowl again.Tofu bowl:Great fried tofu with lovely taste and texture. I liked avocado as an addition in all the bowls. The citrusy sauce was pleasant although very tangy, not as good as the vinaigrette to my taste. I also tried the Nam Nam sauce, which tastes strongly of mayonnaise, has a little kick but not too spicy, and was great as a dressing on the greens. I left cucumber and pickled vegetables out of my bowl and regretted it because they are both really good, cucumber is in thin julienne strips and pickled vegetables were tasty (mostly carrot and radish I think). I also loved the added omelet. Things we might not order again:The garlic noodles were a little sweet, not that exciting or craveable and tasted a little too much of raw garlic (we got them without the furikake topping, maybe they are better with furikake)The house FreshRoll was nothing very special, we preferred the bowls (to be fair though, we ate it the next day so maybe it's good when first made!)All in all a solid choice for healthy dinners.“

“Had to get a Vietnamese food fix and found this place down the road a bit. It has it's own parking lot, and then need to walk along the fence to get to the front door. We ordered Bun with pork and BBQ shrimp, egg rolls, BBQ sandwiches and fresh rolls. Everything was fresh and crisp. The BBQ pork had a nice sweetness from the marinade and was grilled perfectly. It was everything it needed to be to be a satisfying meal. It would have been nice to have more vegetables in the BUN, but all the right flavors were there, so no complaints.“

“First time here, celebrating my sister's birthday and it was like we were kicking it at a friend's house! I was able to make a reservation one day in advance for 7 people during peak dinner hours, and even called the same day to change our time with no issues whatsoever. They accommodated us right away and sat us even without my whole party present. Someone had called out, but we never even felt like service was slow or anything. This is a family owned and operated business, and we really felt like we were a part of that. Granted, we had quite a few shots, so alcohol tends to loosen up people but even without that, the whole staff were cool as heck. The food was delicious. Calamari (forgot to take a pic) was light and crunchy, served with cocktail and tartar sauces. The garlic noodles were super flavorful and stayed buttery. Some places tend to dry out and clump up, but not these! The seafood boils also had tons of flavor and spice. Medium was about as much as I could handle. Lol I think my absolute favorite dish was the Player's Plate. It comes with garlic noodles, 5 Tony's wings, 5 prawns and a huge catfish filet. Best bang for your buck, in my opinion. I would get that next time we go. And a special surprise was Tony's Style (Berkeley) was in the building. They were temporarily operating out of the space, so we had to get the shrimp and crab baguette. All that cheesy seafood goodness went perfect with our shots. Lolol Needless to say, we took home lots of leftovers. We had a blast, and I hope yall have a great experience too.“

“Got a bánh mì chả lụa (they call it a district 3 ? lol) and it was good! Normal and what you expect from a banh mi shop. What’s interesting about this place is their very lavish colorful names based off of areas of Saigon and other places in Vietnam for what would otherwise be pretty normal banh mis so it was a bit funny as a Vietnamese person but yeah. I also got the coffee which was quite good. Prices though… I mean it is Berkeley what can I say.“

“I enjoyed the combo meal number 35 that I had for lunch today at the Pho number one Express restaurant on Appian way. It included two pieces of fried chicken, 2 barbecued shrimp, 2 egg rolls, and a thin grilled pork chop a small salad plus a small bowl of dipping sauce. The bill came to $19.07 including tax but not including the tip.Parking: They offered indoor dining as well as shaded outdoor dining.“

“Very good! Stopped in after a movie. The service was impeccable! It was my first time eating at this location and as soon as we walked in, they made you feel like they have known you forever or that we were regulars. I noticed that some regulars who walked in, they already knew what they were going to order and were greeted exceptionally well. The food of course matched the service. Was very good. Fresh and flavorful! I would go again for sure and recommend you eating there. Well done!“

“Stopped in with the family for dinner. We had the shrimp rolls, basket of fries, a pork banh mi, a chicken rice plate, and a pork rice plate. Everything was delicious.
