So naturally, I had to order it. The portion was just right. It was crispy and so flavorful with the gravy.The other item we ordered was a ham and cheese omelette with pancakes. It looked so basic, but the flavor was amazing. The pancakes were buttery and delicious.I highly recommend this hidden gem. It is definitely worth it. “It’s your friendly neighborhood breakfast diner…we picked this place because it’s close to the freeway and we had flown into SFO with a bit of a drive home to Monterey. We were desperate for breakfast so we rolled the dice and picked a spot based on location. The breakfast gods were smiling upon us this morning. I had the OBAMA omelette (olives, bacon, artichokes, mushrooms, American cheese). My husband had a sausage and cheese omelette. My toddler had the kids French toast. We all joined the clean plate club. The omelettes were perfectly constructed, beautifully wrapped around a generous heap of our chosen toppings. The good came out fast and hot and was absolutely delicious. The servers were cheerful and pleasant and it had all the feels of a local neighborhood favorite. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely keep this gem in our back pocket when we’re traveling to and fro SFO.“

“I was pretty impressed with my visit to Royal Donut Cafe. I didn't come for their donuts, but for their breakfast and they had some of the best country fried steak I've had a in a while. The interior is very dated so that might turn some people off, but they are expanding the restaurant and taking over the space next door. They said that there is a possibility that they open for dinner in the future too. Staff were very friendly as well. Parking in the area is certainly a pain in the area, but there are paid parking lots near by. Country Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.95) was what I ordered and it was massive. I was stuffed after eating it and the steak had the perfect breading. The sausage gravy was very tasty and the hash browns were also a large portion. The eggs they also cooked really well and they don't overcook them like I accidently do at home because I love runny eggs. It is definitely worth a visit here although I have no input on their donuts or pastries personally. Their breakfast is top tier though and you get large portions. Would recommend this breakfast spot to anyone in the area.“

“Alice's has gotten better over the years. There's more and better outdoor space, there's more variety in the menu (a full set of pizzas and panini are now available -- tasty!), and the entrees have been upgraded, e.g. with better sauces.There's a central order station now and buzzers instead of table service but that works very well at Alice's. Thursday night live music is higher quality too with more variety.I'm not sure whether the tie-up is still there so your horse can drink while you eat. I suggest calling ahead if you want to do that.“

I usually get a skillet - every one I've tried comes out piping hot and packed with flavor - and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Unlike many other places, their orange juice is actually real freshly squeezed juice! Service is lightning fast, even when the place is packed.“

“Had a fat weeklong craving for smoked salmon, and this was one of the places that's been on my radar for brunch. First thing I noticed was how cute the interior is!! It's decked in flower decorations and interesting table setups. They also have screen-free weekends, so don't come here on a weekend if you need a place to sit down and work. We got the smoked salmon toast with avocado, berry brûlée toast (a spring special item!), and a matcha latte, which they say is made with ceremonial grade matcha imported from Japan. Smoked salmon toast was standard smoked salmon toast, which in my opinion, is all you can really ask for if you love smoked salmon like me. The crust on the toast was a bit overly hard, though, but I mean...I feel like any cafe with thick toast is going to have that. Berry brûlée toast was nicely sweet and creamy, but I had hoped there would be more berries. Matcha latte was STRONG on the matcha. We ended up diluting it with more milk from the communal pitchers LOL. It's good you know they're not diluting it themselves though! Overall, I'd definitely be back. It's a bit pricey here but still more affordable than other brunch spots. Waffles look great too!“

“Came here for breakfast and forgot this place existed... super reasonably priced and the owner is so friendly and caring. Parking is ample, but the entrance is in the garage and I needed to hit the handicap door opener to get in as this place opens at 7am, but city hall opens at 8am. Plenty of choices and the super (mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers) breakfast burrito was amazing and flavorful. Will come back for sure!“

My eggs Benedict with steak with a house salsa was very good but my son's brioche egg sandwich was lacking in flavor and got soggy very quickly. My potatoes and his hash browns could have been much crispier. We tried something new- a coffee lemonade- and it was surprisingly good. My Americano coffee was also nice and strong.
