“I looked on YouTube for food places recommended and The Taco Stand was in every video. The establishment was full but the wait was not long and the service was great and very friendly. I had the el pastor taco (rotisserie marinated pork is sliced on the premises) and the carne asada taco. The tortillas are made fresh on the premises. Great place, great food.“

“Probably the best late night Mexican food spot in the area, tried a number of others and always come back here. Food is authentic and has great flavor, they don't speak much English so come with some basic Spanish and you will be taken care of.“

“Ocean Beach's hidden gem! We have been here twice and both times the food and experience were top notch. When you are in the area you "have to" stop in! They have spicy food AND they have special order. The chef made me the brightest, freshest grilled shrimp tacos with shredded cabbage, onions, cilantro, tomatoes, wrapped in corn tortillas and sprinkled with fresh lime juice. So good! The music was super fun too. Someone's play list was in point; old school jams the entire time. So glad we saved room for the made to order churros and vanilla sauce! When you visit, ask to sit in Jennifer's section. She is so attentive and knowledgeable.“

Churros are amazing as well. Would suggest to go during non peak hours. Parking in that plaza can be a nightmare.“

“Some of the best Mexican food you will find in San Diego (which is saying a lot). Extensive menu, which has a lot of lamb items, but also vegatarian options. The flavors are amazing, and it is clear they use very fresh ingrediants. Personal favorites: Green pozole, squash blossom quesadilla, enchiladas with mole sauce.“

We should have probably just stayed there to eat.We moved to a table and ordered some apps and mezcal tasting, which was very interesting and I would recommend. We then moved to tacos which were good but disappointingly small. One taco came out burnt and they did replace it.We ended with Churros, which were not good and looked like an afterthought. Mine was insanely good and came out super fast and my friend enjoyed his as well. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming.
