“Have been trying to get to Lola 55 since last year when my daughter started at school at USD, finally this parent’s weekend my daughter skipped some of the festivities and I made it there. Not only are LOLA 55 tacos, cocktails delicious, but their presentation is magnificent. Their ambient music selection is also great. Not your typical taco stand.”

Drove down from LA to try it, as I haven't seen their unique offerings at any other breakfast / bruch spots.Prices may look high at first glance, however it is a great value as the portions are quite large, it was enough for me to eat half and save the rest for another meal!Parking: A free parking lot is available, however it gets quite busy so the lot fills up fast.”

“My better half and I came here for a dinner date, and we had a very nice time. Oyster was fresh and large, and the yakitories were quite tasty, too. They had good selection of sakes of which we tried one and enjoyed. The only reason for the 4 stars was for a rather limited yakitory selections. I wish they had more seafood options such as shrimp or clams. Otherwise, my better half and I pigged out ($$$$, lol) and left satisfied. Reservation is pretty much required.”

The jalapeño Caesar salad was also amazing! Had a kick! Main dishes I enjoyed were the burger, and the chicken, very good and flavorful. Very fun and different cocktails to choose from along with fun zero proof options which is great if you do not drink alcohol. There were a few times I think the server didn't notice something and the sushi chef said something in Japanese and she would come over quickly.(+) Food. We got the $150 omakase, and it's a great deal! You get a good amount of kitchen dishes but also a good amount of nigiri. Fish is fresh, had some cool fish types we haven't had before. “Finjan Coffee Shop might be the best coffee shop I've ever been to based on the cleanliness and decor of the coffee shop, the quality of the drip coffee, the overall menu offerings, and the friendly staff.I came to Finjan about five times over two visits to San Diego in March and April, 2024. I stayed at the nearby Courtyard San Diego Central (which just completed a full renovation) so this coffee shop was nearby. Finjan is a Turkish coffee shop so some of the menu offerings are specific, which is great!The drip coffee is on par with the best drip coffee I've ever had. My coworker ordered a pistachio latte that she said was exceptional. It tasted great and looked good with a simple garnish. I also tried the Turkish coffee which was also very good. I don't like Turkish coffee as much as drip or espresso, but it was one of the best Turkish coffees I've ever had and the presentation is unmatched by any other coffee shop I've been to. Finally, homemade baklawa and knafeh are offered and will not disappoint.The location of Finjan is great if you are in Kearny Mesa, Convoy District, or driving along HWY 163 Cabrillo Freeway. The MTS 25, 235, and 928 busses have stops walking distance on Clairmont Mesa Blvd. The Spectrum Center office complex is to the south and the MCAS base is to the north. Finjan is in a great spot for a to go order or to dine in.”

“The food at Nine-Ten is amazing. We had their sashimi to start and it was full of flavor and a lovely touch of acidity. We had the duck as an entree, which came with a pretty decent amount of meat, and asparagus and mushrooms on the side. I'm definitely not doing it justice in the description but it was delicious and filling. Not my favorite duck I've ever had but still tasted great. My favorite part was their half baked chocolate cake. It was the perfect cherry on top of a great meal.”

“Visited this spot first night in San Diego, my girlfriend and I were seated right away on a Monday night. The ambience gives a modern vibe with chill and slow r&b/classy music. Our server checked in with us multiple times while another server made sure our cups were never empty or close to empty. Customer service A+. When I read the other reviews I expected the food to live up to the hype of the reviews people left, and the food did not disappoint one bit. Authentic Italian food is the perfect way to describe the food. The diavola pizza was spicy, cheese and tomato sauce was cooked perfect, crust and border was light and crisp, salame was tasteful, 10/10. For the calamari and shrimp, they were fried lightly and rated fresh. I would say the marinara different from most places, I don't really know how to describe it but I would prefer other marinaras at other Italian restaurants. For the penne cremosa, I enjoyed the penne pasta itself as it was not too flimsy or soft, instead the penne noodles were a little more rough. The white cream sauce was not over cooked, not too creamy, just right. However, there is a lot of mushroom in the dish so if you are not big on mushroom it will be a bit overwhelming lol. Not pictured which my girlfriend ordered was the tagliatelle with arrabbiata sauce. I'm not a big red sauce guy, but tasting her pasta I would order that myself. It had a little kick of spice in it and the flavor and seasoning in the sauce was just so appetizing. I would 100% come back to this restaurant and I 100% recommend this restaurant to any new comers and visitors like myself. They definitely deserve 5 stars for not only their authentic food but exceptional customer service.”

“Liberty Public Market is the best! The campus is full of excellent restaurants, bars, interesting sights, and unique sources of entertainment.It's like what you'd see in cities like Seattle, Denver, Philly and parts of New York. There's even golf and miniature golf. Well, San Diego is "America's Finest City."”

I'm a speakeasy veteran with a coast to coast cocktail sipping resume that spans from SF to Boston and New Orleans to Chicago, and this spot has definitely landed in my top ten. The atmosphere, the staff, the tunes, and the drinks are all so special and perfectly curated for maximum delight. Every aspect of CMB is comfortable and balanced, and so very easy to enjoy. “What a great place! Drove by it a couple times before I noticed it, tiny parking lot and ended up parking on the street. There is seating at the sushi bar, as well as on the patio. Loved the food selections! Definitely ate things outside of my comfort zone, but everything was delicious and amazing. Showed up super hungry and left full and satiated. Only complaint was that no one ever asked me if I wanted any water (I got quite thirsty, as the course was a little over 2 hours.)Looking forward to returning for another seasonal menu!”

“Best breakfast of 2024. The duck and truffle omelette is definitely catapulted my cholesterol levels to the moon but it was worth it. “Rare Society is one of the best restaurants for our Christmas Eve dinner. The rib eye was so tender, even when asked for well done. Mine was a bit too charred on the outside, however. The rolls were delicious, hot, and melted in your mouth. The ceasar salad was the best I had with so much cheese! The service was wonderful and attentive. Worth a visit for that special occasion.”

“The food items were delicious, great selection of interesting dishes. The wine list was impressive (we’ve been to major wine areas all over the planet). However, what we were most impressed with was our server Olivia. She knew the menu items very well - could answer any and all questions that we had. She expressed herself very positively. Rather than ask “are you still working on that?”; she asked “are you still enjoying your meal?” Rather than reply to a thank you with “no problem” or “no worries”; Olivia replied with “my pleasure.” When we go back; we’ll make a point of asking for Olivia!!!”

“I spent my 21st birthday here and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The amount of care and time it took the chefs to prepare our food in front of us was a work of art. My boyfriend and I love Azuki and it's our favorite sushi place in San Diego, so he was so sweet to book a reservation here to surprise me on my birthday. If you didn't know, Kinme is an extension of Azuki and it specializes in Omakase. If you're a fan of Azuki, or if you just love sushi in general, you need to try this place!! We had so much fun and experienced new fish that we have never tried and we were so so full afterwards. My favorites were the wagyu tartar puff pastry and the braised wagyu. The scallop with uni on top also blew me away. The nigiri was outstanding. Every bite had me closing my eyes and I really just didn't want the sushi to stop coming. The service was amazing and everyone was so attentive. I ordered a hot tea and immediately after I finished my pot I was asked if I wanted more hot water. The chefs were very friendly and asked us repeatedly if we enjoyed the previous dish (which we always nodded excitedly). Right when you come in the ambiance is very relaxing and there's more than enough space between you and the people next to you. At the end, they gave us a physical menu of all the dishes they served us, which I thought was a very thoughtful touch and a cute souvenir to remember my 21st birthday dinner. (pictures and menu was from 2/28, which is a towards the end of their winter menu. Their spring menu might be a little different!)”

Went out to celebrate me and my siblings birthdays.First off, this was the best service I've ever experienced in a restaurant, thanks to all the staff there but particularly our server, Megan. She was utterly delightful! She answered all our questions about dishes and was spot on with her descriptions. The carrot cake she recommended was truly delicious!! She was attentive and detail-oriented in the best way.They brought us hand-written birthday cards and a three very large and yummy macarons with candles on the house!The food was absolutely fantastic. I tried the California burrito and a carnitas taco.The burrito was better than the taco—the carnitas was kind of odd, more like little bits of pork belly, and had a strange aftertaste. The burrito was filled up with carne asada, though I wish it had had more cheese.The interior is kind of dump-y, but it’s also in the hood kinda, so it’s what you’d expect. No one would really come hear expecting glamor and glitz. The staff are cool and easygoing.I’ll need to try a couple other things to make a final decision about it.”

“I enjoy dining at Rudford’s. I have been here a few times over the years, but only recently became a regular. I appreciate they are open 24/7. Many staff members like Jordan & Louie have been here a long time & it shows. Everyone takes great care of the customers. Every menu item I have had tastes great. “It is a place for family breakfast with very varied American breakfasts. Their food portions are quite large. If you are not very hungry you will not be able to finish them. But they have the option of giving you food to take with you. They have excellent customer service.Parking: It has its own large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: It is a suitable place for children to attend and consume food. But they don't have a play area.Wheelchair accessibility: Although you can park in a handicap parking space and you can enter the restaurant with wheelchairs. The tables are very close to each other. Unless they can offer you a place at the first tables when you enter, near the lobby.”

With three vegan flavors available (I am vegan-and their options were fantastic), and the rest all delicately balanced with exquisite flavor (as per my wife/son's recommendations). They give you a flavor taste test of all the flavors and it is very difficult to pick from all of the unique flavors. The biggest draw for me was the repressing of the previous store's brand/look/SIGNAGE as a dry cleaners and repressing it to be an Ice creamery. Brilliant idea, and it definitely works. “I've been coming to Las Cuatro Milpas since I was 6 years old. It's basically a tradition for my family to visit this place on special occasions or on spontaneous lunch get-togethers. The homestyle restaurant is something that has always captivated me. It reminds me of the humble homes found in Morelia, Michoacán and other parts of Mexico. There's nothing better than visiting this place and eating homemade beans with chorizo. The food is definitely on the greasy side since a lot of the menu items are deep fried or cook with pork lard. The flour tortillas are homemade, you can buy a pack of 12 by the cashier area for you to take home. Overall, saying that this place is traditional food is an understatement. It's delicious! Street parking is available and can sometimes be a struggle during peak hours. Most of the time you will have to wait in line so be patient. The down side is that they close early in the evening everyday. Also, fun fact, Las Cuatro Milpas is the oldest Mexican restaurant in San Diego!”

Miguel's restaurant was not so busy and it didn't seem that they were short staffed cause I think there were more employees standing conversing with each other than customers seated. I worked in customer service business for 38 years and as a local person I sure would want the tourists that ate at my restaurant to go back home with a memory of the food and great customer service they had.in San Diego.Parking: There's a lot of renovations happening down at the harbor so you can find yourself driving around looking for a metered parking spot and disabled parking are limited.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for a wheelchair. I had no problem using my walker.”

“I always love eating at The Prado when I have a leisurely day in Balboa Park. I prefer to sit on the patio (weather permitting) however, the inside seating is very nice. “This is my second time coming in with my family. Again, we loved how clean and spaced out the place was. The food was delicious as last time! This time the crab fried rice was not so salty. I appreciate how there is actual crab in the food and makes the flavors more vibrant. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, crab wonton, yellow curry. I tried some new things such as the crab wonton and it's about 5 pieces. In terms of service, I noticed that our server did so much for the restaurant. She took phone call orders, managed take out service, and served tables all at the same time. She mentioned that her restaurant is still new but she did so well multitasking. She was very humble. She did her best to take care of us and was so sweet about not wanting to accept my tip even though she basically managed the place entirely. She mentioned how her staff deserved all the money and I was insistent that she take it too! She may not have been able to take care of us the whole time, but she was always generous about giving us utensils and even listened and conversed with us when she had a million things to do. I hope this business stays for a long time (forever hopefully) knowing that there are good people like her managing this place. Just a suggestion to Palm Thai Cafe: maybe have utensils and napkins out so customers can grab as much as they need! Might help take a load off your busy plate. Thanks again! See you all soon.”

“Went for a birthday dinner and everything was delicious! We shared the artichokes, arrabbiata pizza, rigatoni alla norcina and bucatini pastas. Also had some really good montepulciano wine. They brought an affogato for birthday dessert and took a Polaroid for us which was cute! My only feedback is that way too many people kept coming to the table to check on us. Multiple people came over in the span of like 5 mins to ask how everything was-- appreciate the intention but it felt like nonstop interruptions of our conversation.”

“My husband and I decided to try this place on a whim since we were in the area. While it is a little on the pricey side, the food is completely worth it. They have the best spicy tuna I have ever had. It wasn't about nuking your taste buds, but a pleasant warmth that enhanced the taste of the tuna. Definitely order the Luna Lemon! We will have to come back because we saw the table next to us order some takoyaki and it looked amazing. I do recommend making reservations for weekend dinner, it was busy there!”

“Good acai! I think my favorite part about this is that they serve it in a cup, not a bowl. It's so much easier to eat on the go! I made my own 16oz with acai, granola, coconut, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, honey, and peanut butter. My boyfriend got the crunchy bowl. Next time we both decided my move was the best! I would get double granola and no honey next time (honey had an odd super fake sweet flavor to me). The acai itself was very good and the fruit was fresh. Quite difficult to park over there so definitely grab a spot even if you're a few blocks away. There was only one person working so it was a bit of a wait for the acai to be fully prepped - about 10 mins or so but the indoor space is super clean and trendy so not bad to wait. If I'm going to pay $27 for two bowls, I still love my juice wave acai in mission but I would pop back in here if I was in the area and craving acai.”

“Jimmy John's is a great sandwich shop in the Midwest. It started in Illinois. Since I have lived in San Diego, this is the first shop that has opened. Usually, you would have to drive atleast two hours away. The sandwiches are the same here as any Jimmy John's I have been to in the Midwest. The sandwiches are great! The fresh bread and great ingredients make for a very satisfying sandwich. My favorite: #4 Turkey with cheese and extra mayo Try them with the Jimmy peppers!”
