Dacha is an absolute gem, a cozy, relaxing, and unique dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the super friendly and welcoming staff who will make you feel right at home. The décor of vibrant yet intimate ambience conveys the feeling of Dacha, a traditional country cottage by a lake or river, surrounded by vegetable patches and berry bushes, where many Eastern European families spend their summers. But the real heart of Dacha is the exquisite taste, aroma, and appearance of its creative European-Eastern European fusion cuisine. Every bite was delicious in an evening meal with Piroshki appetizers, Dacha Beef Goulash, and Winter Salmon and in a delightful brunch of Syrniki Brulee. On an equally-elevated sensory level are the cocktails and spirit-free drink options developed from the experience of mixologist Katya who, with co-owner Suki, started Manhattan Zodiac cocktail catering company as prelude to the conception and opening of Dacha Kitchen and Bar.I can’t wait to return to sample Dacha’s Spring menu refresh that includes new entrees such as Pojarskaya Chicken Cutlet (stuffed with butter and dill), Mimosa Salad, and novel soups and desserts (black currant tart and honey cake). Dacha’s menu fully covers vegan and gluten-free diners.

Order chicken liver late, goulash and chicken cutlet along with Georgian wine. High quality dishes. Our server was Tony. Outstanding service. Will definitely come back.

We had very high expectations for Dacha, but the food was just bland and boring. We started with the zucchini rolls and a mushroom Piroshki. The zucchini rolls were exactly as described - grilled stuffed cottage cheese - including lack of seasoning. The piroshki was also similarly lacking in flavor. For the mains, we had the chicken cutlet and salmon. These were relatively better, but still extremely uninteresting. I will say the service was excellent - friendly and attentive; however, the food was a big letdown.

The Mourning Cloak cocktail was exceptional. A great cocktail program that can support the meal like a good wine list is under appreciated. The Indra Banana cocktail was very unique but not for my taste. Cabbage Piroshki was subtle in flavor but tasty. Pastry was great and there was such attention to detail through out the meal. Cabbage was course enough to be distinct and not mushy but more manageable to eat then long strings. Eggplant Rolls were also complex and very light. DACHA Goulash was just great. Beef was tender enough to pull apart but trimmed very well. Honestly I could have eaten a bucket of the stuff but the portion was appropriate to pair with starter and not be over stuffed. Black Currant Tart was nice. I'm not a white chocolate fan but the richness really counterbalanced the tart of the currant well. Although it was getting just a touch over sweet by the time i finished it. Would have been more appropriate to share. the crust was great! Usually these are store bought shells that are too crisp and tough but these were tender. Will return.

Super expensive for what it is. Food wasn't that good for the prices that they want to charge.

Great food, great staff, upscale yet casual feel. Everyone can feel welcomed here. We needed a last minute reservation for a group of 6 for brunch. Coffee cocktails excellent brunch food have high chair and changing table for babies as well. loved their take on all the European food. Really friendly and helpful staff.

50 stars! Beautiful, "modern fairytale" decor meets elevated, authentic Russian comfort food and stellar service. I went to Dacha on a whim with my bestie in search of a cozy meal and found myself at the coolest, laid-back party I wasn't expecting. It just happened to be the third Thursday of the month, which turns out to be drag queen bingo night. Initially I thought, "oh no this will be annoying," but it was actually super fun, didn't overwhelm my conversation, and Michelle the drag queen was totally adorable. My friend is Russian, and can vouch for the food being authentic. I am a snob and can vouch for the food being totally delicious. The cocktails were very fancy, and most of them are named after different kinds of butterflies, which I thought was a lovely touch. The servers were all attentive and friendly, and made great recommendations. But most of all, I just felt like I was in the most friendly, welcoming, beautiful, relaxed space. It felt like being in a friend's home. I will definitely go back again and again.

We stopped in at almost closing for a quick late dinner. Everyone from the hostess to the management/ owners were very pleasant and happy to make the best out of our experience. We sat at the bar and Sasha was our bartender. He was amazing! Educated us on some great infused vodkas and told us about the herbal berries he used. The food was fantastic. Presentation was beautiful as well as the space. We will definitely be back…

Attentiveness to detail and service are at the forefront here. We had crepes and coffee and are eager to return for dinner.Additionally, coffee was served in European style and was brewed perfectly. We've had a difficult time finding unburnt and non-scorched coffee in San Francisco, but it is delightful at Dacha. Bravo!
