“The food in this restaurant is delicious, I hope you have time to try it.”
“Shrimp noodle roll - excellent
Glutinous rice & chicken dumpling - excellent
Crispy shrimp & meat tofu skin roll - good, would have been excellent if it's a tad saltier
Siumai - good but not outstanding
House special pan fried noodle - good with premium proteins
Dry-fried string bean - ok, a bit overcooked
Coffee-glazed baby back pork ribs - not good, the sauce was ok but the ribs had very little meat and not crispy enough on the outside. Koi Palace makes a much better version.
The prices were on the expensive side for dim sum. Service was excellent. Waiting to get into the (only) restroom required lots of shuffling to make ways for staff going in/out of the kitchen and cashier's stand.”
“What an amazing culinary experience! We had a three course meal. The waiter was very helpful, friendly and had great recommendations! I highly recommend this place if you're in San Francisco!”

“Great leisurely lunch with girlfriends. Staff was friendly attentive. The butternut squash ravioli was to die for! Nice ambiance (we sat outside). Enjoyed!”
“Excellent experience from start to finish. Service was attentive without hovering. Never a long wait between courses.
We started with the bean dip, muhamara with flatbread, octopus, olives, and cauliflower. The octopus was the standout: smoky, sweet, tangy, and briny all on one plate. The dips were generous and flavorful.
We split the whole branzino for mains. Perfectly cooked and portioned well.
The atmosphere is casual but elevated. The value is better than comparable restaurants at this tier. You get real portions here, which matters when the check arrives.
Highly recommend for special occasions or a nice dinner out.”

“I highly recommend Mashallah Halal if you are looking for quality Lamb Curry✌🏾”
“Hôtel Biron feels like a hidden pocket of the city where the night slows down and the world softens a bit. The dim light, the brick, the curated art on the walls—it all hits with this warm, lived-in charm that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
The owner Ron and bartenders are the heartbeat here. Warm, real, and genuinely happy to guide you through the wine list like old friends. No ego, no performance—just people who love what they do and make you feel taken care of.
The wine selection is thoughtful and full of surprises, the kind that makes you pause for a second because it’s that good.
It’s a cozy, art-soaked refuge in the middle of SF. Can’t recommend it enough.”
“Best laid back bar in town. Excellent foor and drinks.”
“It’s a great place to meet friends for fun food and have a glass of wine… it has a cozy interior or you can sit out on Dolores sidewalk and enjoy the lovely neighborhood. The owner and his wife make make you feel relaxed and welcome. It’s also a great date spot and the tables are set up for comfort or intimacy if you prefer- it also offers food to go! Most people who try it want to return!”
“Had my go to at any Salvadoran spot: pupusas de queso y lorroco with some plátanos and an atole de elote. Everything tasted great! I just wish they would’ve given me more curtido but overall fast service during a Monday afternoon”
“Convenient location in the heart of the city. Fantastic, Involved and Caring owners. Quality Product, would definitely recommend.”
“One of the best hole In the wall Peruvian places. I’ve been to many in my life, this one is excellent, price is reasonable and normally such places have poor quality beef and meat but this one has high quality meat and generous sizes and taste was excellent, perfectly spiced”
“This place has amazing and authentic Cuban style food and drinks. the pastries are made in house and are world class. the customer service is stellar. the amazing flavors of the food will bring you back, over and over. #cuba”
“Dacha is clean, friendly, & welcoming!”
“McCarthy’s is everything you want in a neighborhood spot—welcoming, laid-back, and just plain fun. The vibe is classic and unpretentious, with friendly staff who make you feel like a regular the minute you walk in. Drinks are always cold and poured strong, prices are fair, and it’s the kind of place where conversation just flows. Whether you’re catching a game, grabbing a pint with friends, or just stopping by after work, McCarthy’s nails it. West Portal is lucky to have this gem!”
“I love the mango double skin milk curd! With the rising prices of boba drinks, it's only a little over $7. Mango is sweet and fresh tasting and the skin milk part is so good. Very thick and creamy. Plus they have board games”
“Lily and her family make a great team. Very friendly bar, with good service and generous measures of drinks at very reasonable prices. Luckily we were staying just down Post so it quickly became our go-to bar during our short stay in SF. Lovely chicken wings too. Thanks for a great time. And a lovely fluffy cat to boot !!”
“We hired the Brazuca Grill food truck, a family run business, to cater our office holiday party last week. They were a hit. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable. They were easy to work with from first contact two weeks in advance, through the end of the event night.
They offered combo plates of steak, chicken, pork, or veggie, with rice, black beans, mixed salad, fried sweet plantains, and yuca fries. The meats were cooked perfectly, juicy, and tasty. The sides complimented the meal nicely. They brought Guarana drinks that people also found refreshing.
The final price was very reasonable for the wonderful food and friendly service. They’re a small business that deserves our community’s support.”
“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.”
“I went to KEN for my birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal. The fish was delicious; so many new flavors and combinations; the chef was superb - talented and entertaining, with great attention to detail. The service was impeccable. I cannot say enough good things!”

“My friend, Mike, who lives nearby with his wife, raved about it so much that my BF and I decided to come after a short trip to Marin. It was everything that he described and more. It was fantastic! Excellent food and atmosphere. Will definitely add to my list of favorites and will recommend to my Palo Alto friends!”

“Beyond any expectations you can have!! The pictures can’t do the experience justice - I was able to sit inside and watch every pizza be made!! I suggest ordering 2 appetizers, and a bottle of your choosing and enjoying the best pizza making ambience ever!!! You cannot go wrong here - I will be back every season to enjoy the new seasonal delights 🥰🥰🥰”
“I have dined at a fair number of sushi restaurants in America as well as some of the finest in Tokyo. Kuma distinguishes itself by having served me the best Chirashi Bowl (I had the Chirashi Deluxe), that I have had in my life. What made the bowl better than some good ones I’ve had was not only the excellent fish on top… but the thoughtfully composed bottom of purple rice with tasty nuggets of egg, soybeans, pickled cucumber, braised tofu, sliced lemon, and tobiko. It was SO GOOD. So if you love Chirashi, or just love thoughtfully prepared sushi, this is THE PLACE!”
“One of the essential bars to visit in SF.
I have been to trick dog several times for their amazing rotating cocktails and the fun ambience. Last night I booked a table to try the food and it was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich and the kale salad which I enjoyed greatly.
Will definitely grab food next time Im visiting.
The service was great, they even made us a drink from previous menus upon our request.”

“Holy Schnike!!! The food is incredibly delicious, the non-seafood versions I am getting are the most amazing tastes. The Wines paired with the dishes are inspired and spot on.”

“We found this place by asking where the best burritos were. Everyone we asked said to come here. You will wait in a long line but it moves fast and absolutely worth the wait! We got ours to go but there is some inside seating. Hands down the freshest most delicious burrito I've ever had. They are huge!”
“Went here as a solo diner and had a wonderful experience! I loved most of the dishes, with the standouts being the savory flan and the mole with quail. A couple of the dessert dishes fell short for me, but overall this was one of the best meals of my life. I did feel a bit too full around halfway through the meal — perhaps the pacing was a bit too fast for me, or there were too many filling dishes in the middle. The service was amazing, very attentive and kind wait staff. They even cleaned and boxed my abalone shell for me after I asked to keep it. Overall, I’m really happy to have experienced this meal. Thank you Californios!”
“Best vegan meal I’ve ever had, went twice in a four days it was that good ❤️”
“My friends and I came here yesterday for cookies after a walk on the beach, and despite looking quite casual for such a nice restaurant we had such a great experience with the staff! Two staff were new (the lady was so competent for a new employee, you go girl!) and extremely nice, and the woman whipping up the desserts behind was the sweetest and gave us a few extra beignets to share :)
The best part (aside from the delicious food) was when the man at the register called my friend sir, a rare moment he was correctly gendered. We were all so happy! The desserts were also fabulous, cookies were GIANT and yummy, we particularly enjoyed the snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin, the beignets were truly to die for, and the passionfruit lemon cake was such a good deal with real lilikoi flavor (Hawaiian approved)!”

“Had such a great experience at Kona's! 🌺 The vibe is fun and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. The drinks were refreshing and well-made, and the food hit the spot with great flavors. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a 5-star place I’d happily come back to!”

“I honestly don’t even know where to begin. From start to finish, it was the most mind-blowing experience I’ve ever had.
We met this beautiful, joyful woman named Luka, who was so kind. She sat us down at the bar, where we enjoyed some lovely drinks. They also gave us happy hour oysters, which were, of course, delicious.
Then we were seated at our table, where we got to meet the whole team. Each person individually welcomed us and attended to all our needs. Even the head chef came out personally, greeted us, and offered us items from the menu as a gesture of kindness—which, honestly, I don’t feel we even deserved.
The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was so delicious, and the flavors never clashed. I truly don’t have a single bad word to say. I can’t wait for them to receive their first Michelin star—they all deserve it.
I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the wonderful people for the hard work they put in—not just in bringing the food out quickly, but in doing so with love and care.
Thank you again.”
“They specialize in Detroit style pizza, and a coworker from Detroit recommended this place to me. She was right, their pizza is delicious! Their pizza menu typically offers six types of pizza; two standard, four that change every season. Half their pizza menu is always vegetarian-friendly. Ever since I discovered this spot, I've been trying to come at least once every season to try out their seasonal pizzas, and they never disappoint!
Like many places in the city, space is limited. So, my only suggestion is, if you're planning to come here during busy lunch/dinner hours, come here early to grab a table. Also, inside can be loud. If you want to have conversations, it's better to request outdoor seating.”
“Welcome to heaven on earth. SF local and either best resturant I've ever been at or tied for first with Han Il Kwan II. Ridiculous quality and exceptional taste. Highly reccomend.”
“Food was delicious and the wait staff was wonderful. We had two kids and they took care of us and interacted with the kids. Mole was awesome! We sat in the back room (semi-private) and it was great for the kids.”

“Even though we didn’t end up renting from City View Commissary, we felt compelled to leave a review because the experience and customer service were truly exceptional.
The venue itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. & a kitchen space could be included in the rental. It’s the kind of space you can easily imagine transformed for a special event. But what really stood out was CJ’s kindness and humanity.
We had just lost our wedding venue only weeks before our wedding. An incredibly stressful and emotional situation and CJ was beyond understanding and compassionate. He was willing to work with us, took the time to listen to our needs, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Even more impressively, he went above and beyond by connecting us with another venue that ended up being a better fit for our wedding, even while we were actively touring his space.
That level of integrity, empathy, and genuine care is rare. City View Commissary is not only a lovely venue, but it’s run by people who truly care about others and that matters. We’re incredibly grateful to CJ and highly recommend City View Commissary to anyone looking for a space and an outstanding team behind it.”
“Gateway Croissant is one of those rare spots that quietly becomes part of your life. Tucked within a short walk of the City, State, and Federal buildings and a short walk from BART. It’s the perfect stop for anyone commuting into Civic Center.
For the last two years, any day I’m heading into the City, I have to swing by for a cruller or an apple fritter. At this point, it’s a ritual.
What keeps me coming back isn’t just the pastries (though the cruller is dangerously good). It’s the people. Everyone here is genuinely kind and appreciative, the kind of staff who make you feel like your stop actually matters to them. In a busy part of San Francisco, that warmth stands out.
There’s something special about grabbing a fresh donut and taking a slow walk around the Civic Center, watching the morning unfold, the buildings light up, and the city wake around you. Highly recommend picking up a treat and enjoying a stroll through the plaza. It’s a small moment of calm that sets the tone for the whole day.
Gateway Croissant is simple, welcoming, and consistently excellent. A true neighborhood gem.”
“I LOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEE this place! Everything about it is just SO right!!!! I'm lucky enough to have been treated to a few free tastings here, and I must say that I am beyond impressed. I love that they are able to bring a Napa wine tasting experience to the people of SF who can't just get out and drive there all the time. The decor, music, vibe and service are all perfect and they have some delicious wine as well!”
“All Star is open 24/7, which is a godsend if you're hungry while out late at night (why does the whole city seem to close down after 9pm?). The doughnuts are good, the sandwiches are good, and everything's pretty cheap (at least by SF standards...). I love the cheesesteak.
The evening/night waitstaff are chill. The asian ladies running the place during the day don't speak english very well (and speak /incredibly quietly/) and kinda seem like they don't want to be there. But like... it's a hole in the wall cheap coffee shop. You don't come here for the service.
Note that at some point overnight they shut down the kitchen and leave just one person tending the store until morning. I've gotten a hot sandwich here at 1am no problem, but twice I've tried to get a breakfast sandwich at 6:00am or so and been told that they can't cook me one. I think the morning cook shows up around 6:30am? If you show up earlier than that in the morning, you're gonna be limited to hot drinks and pastries.”
“6th St between Market and Mission used to be the heart of San Francisco. Until the new jewish mayor Lurie stabbed it. We used to go out there, eat at Halal Burgers and then spend the night out. Without all the police state ruckus that is going on now end of Jan 26. But despite all the efforts of that obscene filth now sullying city hall, we still go out. And we still stop at Halal Burgers even though the scene has moved on. The food is excellent at prices that are very affordable. A chicken leg quarter, a potato salad and a drink is less than $10.
That said, they downsized the number of tables to sit at. That needs to be changed back.”
“Drink Review-
Service: the cashiers are nice and welcoming.
We order a hot chocolate and a caramel macchiato. The first day a male barista made the drinks and the hot chocolate one of the best ever. Unfortunately, the second day we didn't have the same luck. A lady made the drinks but appeared to be rushing. It showed when we tried the drinks.”
“I loved Cafe aux delicious flavors without the syrup I bought a banana cold brew oat milk latte there was no banana syrup it was some kind of like weird infusion or something it was super good super fresh like the coffee was not bitter it was like perfect Brendan made the coffee and he was awesome So San Francisco like you just gotta try it! Never had such cool flavors with my cold brew before :)”
“Usually burger kings I got to are under staffed and this is no exception but my review is mainly directed towards the staff. Everytime I am here they are absolutely hustling and working really hard to service the endless amount of food delivery drivers. I wanted to thank Rosmery, I saw her be so kind to customers while trying to bring online orders out and was just a joy to interact with. These places need more people like her.”
“A great place for breakfast. The staff has been wonderful towards me whenever I enter this location, sometimes with a smile. Lobby area are clean at times that I enter within the mornings. Don't know about the public restroom, since I never use the restroom. My only negative complaint is that this location could really use a part time security individual from the moment this particular Burger King location opens. On occasion there appears to be an individual that would enter and become extremely angry and "mentally unbalanced" towards the workers behind the counter concerning their meal or public restroom usage. A vast majority of these customers are the homelessness. For the safety of the Burger King staff, this particular location serious needs security personnel.”
“The food was excellent, everything tasted so good and fresh, I loved their molletes and chilaquiles, I never tried before a chilaquiles with habanero sauce but it was super good, their cafe de olla was great as well. They have friendly staff.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Carinderia with so much nostalgia. It feels like home away from home. The food is authentically Filipino, with a great variety of skewers and viands to choose from. It was so comforting and familiar that I ended up calling everyone “Tita,” as if they were my own.”
“This is the classic hole in the wall Chinese bakery. I grew up with Chinese bakeries like this in Chinatown of my youth. There's always a line out the door on the weekends. But then I was just so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the pork buns are. I literally grew up on pork buns growing up in Chinatown in New York City. These pork buns, From lung Fung bakery, give those pork buns to run for their money. It came back After devouring the pork buns, to try out the curry buns, which were even more delicious. Five stars all the way.”
“This place serves the best breakfast in san francisco for a great price.
Cash only or venmo so be prepared.
Bagels and croissants are both delicious. I havent had any drinks from here yet as I just make tea at home. Its really popular here though so I imagine their drinks are as good as the food.
Ive tried the asiago bagel with a Lil mayo, bacon egg and cheese as well as the croissant with sausage egg and cheese and hot sauce. Highly recommend the hot sauce here, it doesnt taste like a hot sauce ive had before. Its a little sweet and not too spicy or vinegary. I got one of each today for 11.75. I didnt know if I should tip via venmo, so I didnt, so ill bring extra cash next time.
Even if I didnt live as close as i do, id come here.
The only downside is there is no place to sit. Its intended to get your breakfast needs and scoot scoot.”
“This is a classic Italian restaurant with a lively atmosphere and excellent service. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, the classic cheese and bacon pizza, as well as the lasagna and carbonara. The pizzas were cooked to perfection, with a crispy and delicious crust. The pasta was cheesy and filling.”
“I have been twice and so far everything has been delicious. I need to go back a few more times to try everything on the menu. Don't forget to save room for dessert. The cocktails are fantastic.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“California-style Cantonese cuisine! I really like the decoration style here, which always makes me feel better when dining here. The golden lotus chandelier and the gold and silver wire lamp are definitely the best decoration! 👍The pastries here are also worth mentioning! Pineapple buns, wife cakes, black sesame banana cakes with miso sugar!”
“The pizza is splendiferous! It's truly the best pizza I've ever had. It's crunchy, good size and not greasy. The atmosphere is homey and friendly. The artwork and drawings on the walls adds to it. The cherry on top is the owner! He's passionate and friendly to all. The perfect place for lunch.”
“Truly unbelievable ambience, service, wine and food. A place I take friends in town, go for date nights, special occasions, weeknight relief, and everything in between. Something new to try by the glass every time (but I go straight for the bottles!! Some serious gems!)”
“Absolutely delicious. Meats perfectly seasoned and juicy, brought me right back to Türkiye. That and the people- two regulars welcomed me in with open arms fo share a table with them. Go for the Ararat kebab plate- it has everything and is plenty food for 2 people. Excellent baklava to top the feast off. Wish I had saved space to try their soup, which just about every table had ordered. Next time.”
“Run, do not walk, to Luke’s and order the lobster, crab and shrimp roll sampler. Everything was amazing from the service to the food. The seafood was so fresh and tasty, the bread rolls are like Chinese egg bread and they top it off we chips (if you don’t like too much salt get the original sea salt ones).
We stopped for a late lunch and had to skip dinner!”

“Everything we ordered was good. In fact we couldn’t eat it all. Your pizza was so delish! Never had chow fun wrapped up in little rolls but it was pretty good. Your shaking beef salad was good too. Definitely a dining experience in Asian fusion!”
Fine Dining
“Service was impeccable. Music was a bit disjointed with a mix of hip hop and rap that didn't fit the vibe. Food was great but not 2 Michelin great, with a bit too much acid in each dish so things are on the sour side. Highlights were the duck, scallops and dessert.”
“Valentine’s Day dinner, got sat 30 min early, which was nice. However the food and the experience was amazing, granted a restaurant of this caliber has its short comings when compared to the value. I will say the 4/5 plates we had were amazing and exceptional. Dessert ? Meh .”

“I quit drinking before the judge ordered me to—how is that for initiative? Since that last call, no bar has captured my attention. Nor have I returned to any of the bars I enjoyed around here. I’m from the east coast—a pub near a rail station which draws a crowd free of pretense is proper nurture. Glen Park Station is welcoming, comfortable, fun, and built for a night done right.
There are non-alcoholic brews for those who abstain, shot-and-a-beer specials for $12.00, wine by the glass, and an indoor smoking lounge. A pinball machine which takes dollar bills. Darts. Superior bar stools. Table seating up front. A rear patio. No Apple Pay.The bar has neighboring businesses which serve food. One can find Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican fare within a block. The bodega sits across from BART, on the same side of Diamond St. A pizza place is in proximity. This area has a low-key dominance about it. A great spot for socializing, a walkable pocket of the city wherein small businesses sling good eats, and you have the option to get hammered.
Parking is available in the public library lot after 6, 7, 8PM during the week. Street parking on the northbound lane of Bosworth between Arlington & Diamond is free in the evenings. I am not sure when the meters stop accepting payment-I pulled up at 7:30PM on a Monday.
To those behind the wheel—be advised—residential streets intersect as sharp turns become sudden hills. At all hours there are pedestrians, cyclists, and coyotes. SFPD often posts a patrol vehicle on Bosworth (south of the Arlington intersection) to eyeball the I-280 south on-ramp.”
“My local sibling brought me here for breakfast after a hiking trip. The Brisket Hash and sourdough toast hit the spot! The hot sauces completed a perfect package. My wife didn't speak while there were still Loc Benedict on her plate, and our coffee cups never emptied. Staff were genuinely friendly and excited to tell us about other restaurants in the city to try while visiting. Portions were hearty, and I would have happily paid more for the experience. This is a must-return spot for me!”
“Honestly, incredibly solid, quick and tasty meal for the family.
$10 kids plates that a plated on a kid friendly plate with a protein, veggie and carb.
We get the cucumber salad which is fantastic and can divide a main with salad.
Total out the door is just about $60 which for a family of 4, isn’t terrible and leaves us all happy.”
“The drinks are fine and the food is ok. We took a spice bag to go as we wanted to enjoy it later. We heard a lot of hype around it as it's the only place in the bay area that has one. Unfortunately it was just so salty and the spice blend wasn't it compared to the real thing. It's great to even see a spice bag on a menu anywhere in California but I just wasn't a fan. Stick to the pints and you'll be fine.”
“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.”
“A delightful classic Chinatown bakery that looks like it hasn't changed in decades. They carry all the classics, though I'd recommend getting a cocktail bun (if you're lucky they'll still be warm from the oven). A few small stools and chairs inside, often with a bunch of old fellows sitting around talking. This place is great, don't change a thing ❤️”
“This place should have a line out the door every day. Incredible value. Excellent service. Delicious food. Warm and friendly staff. They greeted all their regulars by name like old friends. I can't wait to become a regular myself. I can't recommend enough. Coming back as often as I can.”
“We had great dinner here! The garlic naan was amazing and very unique. Food served very fast. Also recommend the creamy chicken and the mixed grilled. GREAT SERVICE too !!”
“Lovely friendly Italian wine bar and delicious restaurant. Fresh innovative salads, pastas and main courses. Highly recommended.”
“The view is comfortable and the dishes are exquisite. It is highly recommended.”
“Lovely atmosphere and service from the hostess to our servers. Menu is unique yet simple. Great for vegetarians looking for finer menu. Every bite was flavorful and delicious!”
“A friend recently introduced me to Laundromat Bagel & Cafe on Balboa Street in the Outer Sunset, and I'm so glad they did.
The cafe immediately stood out thanks to the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bagels drifting onto the street. Inside, the space felt airy and inviting, with a thoughtful blend of wood and metal accents that created a warm, modern atmosphere. What impressed me just as much was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, smiling, and genuinely friendly. Their warmth made the experience feel personal and memorable.
As for the bagels, they are hands down superior to most bagels I've had in San Francisco. Even without toasting, the exterior had a satisfying crunch while the inside remained light and fluffy. The flavor was wonderfully balanced—neither sweet nor grainy, but pleasantly nutty. Most remarkable of all, the bagels weren't overly chewy, allowing their texture and flavor to shine.
The cream cheese deserves special recognition as well. The best way I can describe it is New York meets Bay Area style: dense and creamy, yet somehow light and fluffy, with just the right amount of tanginess.
I'm thrilled to have been introduced to Laundromat for its exceptional bagels. Now I have every reason to return and see what their pizza and beer are all about.”
“Definitely not your typical brunch. We loved the Filipino inspired creations. Don’t skip the French toast with caviar hollandaise, crumbled bacon, and shrimp. It’s AMAZING!”
“This place serves super legit, authentic Chinese food. We ordered the Peking duck, mapo tofu, noodles, and soup—everything was spot on. The flavors are excellent and completely authentic. Will definitely be coming back on the regular!”
“Had a luncheon @ Perbacco with my 9 coworkers and Manager to say “goodbye & farewell” to a retiring coworker and “welcome” to a new coworker. Started with a round of hors d'oeuvre’s. The thin sliced veal with a sauce and capers was delicious! The fried shrimp, veggies and olives/anchovies…also with a sauce was awesome as well. For my main, I had CRESTE DI GALLO - semolina pasta - wild mushroom ragu - spinach - ricotta salata. Our waiter was the best! I saved one of the sugar cookies from my deserts…Burnt Carmel Gelato. Mentioned it to our waiter and as we were leaving, I heard “Sir! Sir!” He brought me one of their meringue cookies to also share with my partner! I thought that was just awesome! Top notch food and customer service. We’ll be back!”
“Amazing food, attentive and knowledgable service made for a memorable first night in San Francisco!!!!”
“What a delight!! Everything was incredibly fresh and oh so tasty. Impeccable service to boot. What a gem. I’m so happy to have found this place. Guessing everyone is sleeping on this amazing nugget. Won’t be long til everyone is in the know ;)”
“La Ciccia is magical. Everyone was kind, helpful and most importantly, the food was delicious! I haven't been here in over a decade. It's consistently excellent.”
“i go to nepa indian cuisine today food taste very good like home. curry is nice and naan very soft and fresh too. staff people polite and service is fast i not wait long. place is little bit small but clean i like it. i think i will come back soon with friends because price also fair. good honest food.”
“Great food, friendly service, and very inviting atmosphere. The signature duck is phenomenal, as was the gnocchi and duck liver. The salad was overly rich. Highly recommended overall.”
“A great way to experience a four course meal at an affordable price, with delicious food. We will definitely be back.”
“Excellent food! The prix fixed tasting menu was very generous and delicious. We were stuffed!”
“Great place to relax and enjoy great food and service in Haight- Ashbury! Very welcoming -”
“Had San Francisco Cioppino (Mussels. Clams, Crab, Cod, Prawns, Scallops and Garlic Bread that was the bomb). Only giving 2 thumbs up as I only have 2. Great food, great service!”
“Honestly, I was incredibly impressed by the pizza but also the array of (island themed??) cocktails. Our group shared a couple of pies that were both delicious. The Waikiki sneaky particularly did a great job balance spicy and sweet flavors while still tasty like pizza. The Jalisco punk was the standout amongst the drinks, but u left wanting to try a bunch more.
Recommend getting there early (before 7pm) on a weeknight as the line was out the door when we left.”
“The menu they set was stellar! Adventuresome and creative dishes that were harmonious and delicious! The restaurant is small, a bit crowded and somewhat noisy. I’ll be back!”
“This place absolutely rules, everything I’ve ever had here has been great. I’d highly recommend the grilled meats, especially the pork - it had a wonderful charred flavor and crispy edges without being at all dried out. Will be coming back again and again.”
“When we're in San Francisco, this is a must stop for us. Enjoyed brunch there this trip. All the food is beautifully presented, and so fresh and delicious. Great cocktails. Excellent service.”
“I had an incredible experience at Smuggler's Cove! The atmosphere is absolutely unique, with a fun, immersive tiki-inspired design that makes the whole visit feel like an escape.
The cocktail menu is outstanding—creative, balanced, and expertly crafted. Every drink I tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and really enhanced the overall experience with great recommendations.
Despite being lively and popular, the service was efficient and well-managed. Overall, Smuggler’s Cove stands out as one of the best cocktail bars in San Francisco for its atmosphere, quality drinks, and memorable vibe. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again!”
“Sublime French cuisine in an awesome location. Great “secret” spot in SF.”
“Food was very tasty and well prepared, staff attentive and responsive, ambience is perfect”
“Exceptional fine dining experience! Attentive knowledgeable owner, chef, and staff. Amazing cocktails and well prepared French food.”
“My fiancé and I found your restaurant Saturday afternoon while sightseeing the city. We were so impressed with the atmosphere and hospitality. This place is the best for nice afternoon seafood lunch! Thank you so much for the delicious meal.”
“fantastic little restaurant - excellent wine list and great beef bourgogne”
“Ordered birthday cake and it was divine. Cake was so moist and delicious. Customer service was fantastic too. Will definitely order again”
“What a lovely dining experience. The food is executed with care and the service is delivered with love. The food is sophisticated yet the experience is laid back and down to earth. Looking forward to coming back!”
“I must say i had high hopes but the meal was tasteless but my friends had too much salt. I wanted to like it. Wont return, wont recommend. ☹”
“Great place for classic SF cioppino, a classic fisherman’s stew. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The place is small and you put your name in a board and wait for a table.”
“Holy moly, this place was great! The food is tasty & beautifully served. The service was great & Hannah made terrific suggestions. Really well done!”
“🌟 NOPA San Francisco: A Bucket List Culinary Triumph! 🌟 Review by: The Bucket List Coach Webshow. I recently had the distinct pleasure of crossing a major culinary destination off my bucket list: NOPA San Francisco. My dining experience on December 12, 2025, was not just a meal; it was an absolute masterclass in hospitality and farm-to-table excellence. Exceptional Service: A Shoutout to Zach! From the moment we sat down, the experience was elevated by our server, Zach. He truly went above and beyond, anticipating needs and offering spot-on recommendations, making the dining experience feel incredibly special and seamless. A massive shoutout to Zach, as well as the entire Culinary team, Management team, and staff—the level of coordination and passion was palpable. Appetizers and Beverages: Instant Classics The meal kicked off with the Date and Pear appetizer, which was absolutely fantastic—a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and texture. And for the beer lovers out there, you must try the Honey Beer 🍺. I'm officially adding this to my personal "Beer Bucket List!" I will absolutely be recommending it to all my followers on my podcast and through my travel agency. Thanks to Woods Beer and Wine Company! The Entrée: Perfection on a Plate For the main course, I opted for the Duck, and it was cooked to perfection. Seriously, melt in the mouth- tender meat was phenomenal. The plate presentation was stunning, far exceeding my expectations—it was a true work of art. The side of Grapefruit and Vinaigrette Salad was the perfect accompaniment. It was one of the best salads I have ever had in San Francisco; the brightness of the grapefruit cut through the richness of the duck beautifully. Desserts: Celebrating National Cocoa Day! To celebrate National Cocoa Day Dec. 13th-I couldn't resist. I highly suggest partaking in the Hot Chocolate for a decadent dessert item—it was rich, velvety, and a perfect holiday treat. And if you still have room, the Cheesecake with Brown Sugar is another truly fantastic dessert that offers a wonderful, comforting finish to the meal. NOPA is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. The ambiance, the incredible staff like Zach, and the impeccable, thoughtful food quality solidify NOPA as a must-visit spot in San Francisco. It earns its place on any serious foodie's bucket list Cindy Lee Podcast Host at Bucket List Coach Web Show & Founder of Bucket List Coach Travel Tours”
“Best dining experience I’ve had since I moved here. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. My new favorite restaurant 💚💚💚”
“Loved the decor and the vibe, great place to hang out with friends. The food was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on.If you're in the area, this place is a must-try!”
“Delicious food. I had the branzino with a a lemon sauce and roasted sea beans (type of seaweed) and three grain side with anchovy. Properly seasoned and cooked well. Service was attentive. Restaurant was airy.”
“Oh my gosh. The atmosphere, staff, food, and overall vibe of the restaurant is amazing!!! My friends and I loved everything we ordered. The food came out very fast. I will definitely be coming back.”
“Fantastic food - reasonably priced and great service! Tasha was amazing!”
“Watermelon 🍉 Roll; no rice, refreshingly good Fried seafood chips appetizer; I wanted it as a meal it’s a different yum 😋 Ice cream sandwich wow!”
“Excellent food and service. My friends from NYC enjoyed their dinners as well. Will definitely be back!”
“Truly authentic Calabrese style Italian cuisine takes us back to Nonna’s kitchen”
“Service was impeccable. Music was a bit disjointed with a mix of hip hop and rap that didn't fit the vibe. Food was great but not 2 Michelin great, with a bit too much acid in each dish so things are on the sour side. Highlights were the duck, scallops and dessert.”
“Authentic Burmese food in the city. I have tried a couple of Burmese restaurants and this place is hands down the closest to what I've tasted in Burma. Hot Burmese tea, beef curry, and biryani just like you would get for a traditional celebratory event in Burma. Go try!”

“This place was one of the best highlights of our trip!! Real Italian food. The owners were real gentlemen. The way that they worked that restaurant was amazing. I was amazed by their food and service, both authentic. My friend and I had the best time. We would go again and again!”
“First this is a great mom and pop restaurant, good portions, lot of variety. Second, reading reviews, don't you think it a bit suspicious when exact same review word for word with different people even months or a few years apart? Some of the review is ok but the one about being next door to the Hilton is not here.”
“Hands down our favorite go-to restaurant when we are in the city going out to dinner, or when we are looking to take out-of-towners someplace truly unique, or when we are looking to bring the most delicious dinner home. The seafood is as fresh and high quality as it gets, served in the most unique way. Start with the chowder, packed with a wide variety of shellfish, spiced just right with a little kick to it, neither New England nor Manhattan, they have invented a new broth that is both rich and flavorful while being light. The Scallops are a must try. They simply melt in your mouth with a burst of complex flavors. The small plate tostadas meld flavors and textures you just can’t find anywhere else. Although it is located on Divisadero in a multi-block long string of restaurants, the atmosphere inside has the feel of the most comfortable neighborhood bistro. Impecable service all at a very reasonable price for the quality and the creativity and joy the food will bring to your palate.”
“My friends and I just spotted your restaurant after being at a movie on Chestnut st. We just wanted a light bite to eat, we chose the Red Lentil soup fantastic. The Spanikopita excellent and a Bean dish all e with delicious Pita and red Huumus?. We will return.Thank you.!”

“The Japanese Tea Garden is one of my favorite places to visit in Golden Gate Park. It’s not a huge park, but that’s part of its charm -it feels serene, cozy, and beautifully peaceful. Walking through the garden with the cherry blossoms, pagoda, stone paths, and colorful koi fish instantly makes you slow down and relax.
The little gift shop is absolutely adorable, and of course the tea garden itself is a must. It’s the perfect place to sit down and enjoy matcha, sencha tea, udon, and mochi while taking in the calm atmosphere and lovely views.
A beautiful little escape in the middle of the city that never gets old.”
“Birthday dinner for grandson here is meaningful and nice with large portion and we'll made steak and lobsterz. My sole fish plate is tasty N really well done although the mash is not so smooth . Would prefer the vegetables to be more than just carrot with beans..”
“First time at this restaurant- we have been to RH Rooftop Marin before. We had a reservation for 2 people and showed up a few min early. The hostess who helped us (there were 2 other hosts walking back and forth) was neutral, not warm or friendly. She asked us to wait in the waiting area for our table (empty except for a couple having drinks there from the bar). We waited for about 10 min, and noticed a party of 2 walked up and were seated right away. When another party of 2 did the same, my husband went up to ask how long our wait would be, and she said she could seat us. She brought us to a table immediately behind the hostess podium (which had been empty since we got there). I asked if there was another table available (I wanted to feel more like I was inside the restaurant) and her body language clearly showed that she was annoyed- shoulders slumped, sighed - and she brought us to another table. The restaurant was much louder than I expected, which made it seem less elegant than the photos showed when I booked. Our waiter was professional and nice, and we appreciated that. The food was mostly excellent- especially the Hamachi caviar carpaccio- amazing! My husband's Chilean sea bass was overcooked and rubbery. The Delice de Bourgogne board was fantastic (we've had this in the Marin restaurant). I don't know that I would come here again for a special dinner- I might come just for a casual meal. I did feel overdressed, as I tried following the dress code, but saw people in tennis shoes and athleisure clothes. There were a few people dressed up (large table for a birthday, etc) but if we go there again, I will definitely dress down. Overall, the food and service at our table were great, but the ambiance and service at the host stand were not. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but in my experience it did not live up to the beautiful photos online.”

“Tucked behind velvet curtains in Civic Center, Dingles Public House feels like stepping into a polished London pub—moody lighting, deep green walls, and just enough theatrical charm to make a pint feel essential. It’s a rare thing in San Francisco: a place fully committed to British comfort food, executed with care rather than gimmick.
But the real reason to come? Two classics done right: fish & chips and the scotch egg.
Fish & Chips
This is the kind of plate that reminds you why the dish became iconic in the first place. The cod is flaky and moist, wrapped in a beer batter that strikes the right balance—crisp without feeling heavy or greasy. The chips lean properly British: thick-cut, soft-centered, and built for soaking up malt vinegar. What elevates it is the full spread—tartare, curry sauce, and mushy peas—giving you multiple ways to work through each bite.
It may not reinvent the dish, but it doesn’t need to—it’s comforting, well-executed, and exactly what you want from a proper pub plate.
Scotch Egg
If there’s a must-order here, it’s this. The scotch egg arrives with a crisp, golden exterior giving way to a perfectly soft, just-set yolk—rich, savory, and deeply satisfying. The house-made sausage wrap adds a layer of spiced depth, while a touch of acidity (often from pickles or sauce) cuts through the richness beautifully.
It’s the kind of dish you instinctively order “for the table”… and then quietly wish you didn’t have to share.”
“Progeny Coffee is an excellent café with high-quality, expertly brewed coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, and the care put into each cup really shows. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it a great place to relax, work, or meet with friends. Highly recommended for coffee lovers.”
“An elevated liquor store that sells delicious Mexican food. Come here for tacos, quesadillas, even coffee and ice cream (depending on the day/time). I’ve been here now a few times and the owners are so down to earth & nice. Take some food to cook up at home too. This is the spot for some home handmade tortillas! Deliciosa!”
“Yuca fries and mushroom skewer were delicious. Cauliflower entree was a big portion size but sikil pal was salty and somewhat bland. Pumpkin soup was fine but spicy due to the chili flakes on top. Mocktail was delicious and super refreshing, tasted like a green juice with celery. All vegan menu, was able to get full on all of the gluten free items.”
“Fantastic neighborhood spot. Food is great. Service is a bit brisk and can be curt but it’s not a bad attitude, just trying to take care of everyone. I went last weekend and it hit the spot so perfectly I went back this weekend with a different friend. Sweet server tonight. High quality food and the space has a very good sf neighborhood spot vibe - takes me back to the 90s. I’ll be back for sure.”
“The best almond croissant everrrr! I love their modern store and it looks beautiful, the only reason for the 4 star is that there was no indoor seating. Its like they dont want folks to sit inside. They are made for “fast paced” ordering but they are not wanting people to pause here and sit - thats why there is no seating along their bar area at the interior circumference to the store. Its like they removed 15+ chairs? Why?”
“Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening with a very close friend.
We were warmly greeted by the very attentive staff. This family-operated restaurant has a very warm ambiance, conducive to conversation and fine dining.
Christie, the host, made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. She patiently reviewed the menu, without rushing us to a decision.
For appetizers, we had the Escargot, the Liver Mousse, and the French Onion Tart, all expertly prepared with renowned Chef Bruno's innovative takes on these classics.
Our entrees were the expertly-prepared braised Oxtail signature dish, and the Sea Bass, the daily special also meticulously cooked to perfection.
We finished our great dining experience with delicious Chocolate Mousse and Creme Brulee.
Overall, this was a complete and perfect dining experience! Will definitely return, and will also highly recommend to friends and colleagues.”
