“from the creators of state bird comes another new american restaurant, more geared towards family style dishes. all of the dishes were tasty, ranging from good to amazing with a similar flavor profile as their sister restaurants so if you love state bird, you’ll love the progress. overall, the dishes were tasty but i was blown away by the cocktail.one punch man: one of the best cocktails i’ve ever had. perfectly balanced milk punch with nice creaminess, freshnessradicchio and point reyes salad: refreshing and tasty, good starter but nothing mind blowing. the cheese was deliciousartichoke toast: ordered based on waiter rec and glad we listened. best dish of the night. rich from the artichoke but the vinegar cut through. toast itself was perfectly made.brown butter seaweed noodles: would recommend! tasty umami flavor, al dente noodles. smaller portions tho.duck: perfectly cooked duck, not too chewy and nice smoky flavor. the wing was cooked through and also extremely flavorful. the two styles of cooking complimented each other. fried rice and kimchi were also tasty. pretty big portions, good to share with 4ppl.”
“Oh my GOODNESS this place did not disappoint. We had to make a reservation some 30 days in advance but it was well worth it.There’s something so easy about having a little plate brought around right to you and being able to say “Yes I want that right now please” and just being able to eat it immediately. Absolutely divine. And the flavors were just I N C R E D I B L E. Every dish had some many layers to it, it was just amazing.1000/10 would recommend!”
“Seven Hills opens their kitchen and welcomes you into their home. The truffle pasta is what my boyfriend and I come back for every single time. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and the food is made so fresh. Truly incredible tasty date night spot — book ahead of time for sure as it does get busy. The polpette is a must try as well, the sauce is incredible”
“Going to a show, this is a great place to stop before the show. Just make sure you make a reservation, without one you’ll end up on the waitlist. The servers are great about asking what time your show is to make sure you’re out on time. Unfortunately, we felt ignored at the bar for way too long. We were there almost 15 min before we got a drink, and this is a lifetime when you’re sitting at the bar that holds 11 people total. Food was very good! The raclette foam could have had more raclette flavor, but I am just a good old cheese head. The duck was absolutely worth the order, I love this rich meaty dish and the way the pom seeds cut through the heaviness and add a burst of palate cleansing between each bite.”
“The seafood chaate soup with French bread is really delicious. Both the soup and the bread are delicious./The set of 6 small oysters was paired with sauce, which was sweet and delicious, and the fishy smell was removed. However, not long after the meal, my stomach kept churning a bit, and my companions had diarrhea afterwards?/The creamy mussel spiral pasta is quite surprising at first, but the more you eat it, the more salty it becomes, but it is still delicious./The overall price is a bit expensive, but the food experience is very good, and it is cozy with the scenic bridge outside.”

Cotogna
“Cotogna was a superb experience from the minute we walked in. Service is warm and attentive, the food is spectacular. We loved everything we ate. The presentation was beautiful and the ambiance was cozy. We couldn’t ask for more. We were there to celebrate a birthday and it really made our night special to be at Cotogna. Thank you and keep it up!”
“Been here a few times for drinks or a happy hour and SF Wine Society is a gem. It has a fun bocce court, is well decorated with a sense of atmosphere, and the folks here really know a lot about wine. And as random a compliment as this is to give, the bathroom here is seriously decadent, beautifully designed and fancy??? I think that alone is a testament to the care put into this place. All the food is really delicious so I recommend getting something to go along with your drinks!”

Abacá
“San Francisco is full of so many awesome dining options that it's really hard to know where to begin. The easy choices are one of the seemingly hundreds of Italian choices, or sushi, or seafood. However, if you're wanting a fancy Filipino place, then Abacá is where you should go.We went for brunch, and tried the savory French toast, the crab scramble, the moco loco - EVERYTHING was delicious.Give Abaca a try. You will like it.”

“There’s CATS INSIDE BRUH THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!! Andddd i guess the drinks were super yummy too. I loved the cucumber gimlet 10/10 on that. Cutesy family (+jake?iykyk) business! I will hit this place up every time I’m in SF, you have to try it!”
“ok this was such a surprise for the location and interior! i loved it. very interesting pastries! a bit on the sweet side. the guy hosting was very nice and friendly :) a bit pricey but overall super cute ”
“My sister took me to this restaurant years ago and I loved it. The food is amazing and service always excellent and compared to san francisco, the prices are fair. You will not ”
“I know stonemill matcha gets a lot of hype, but honestly a little overrated. The matcha here? Surprisingly insane. Excellent, smooth, rich and flavorful. The way the shop looks is a turn off because it reminds me of a cellphone store (which I thought it was), but it's actually really damn good.”

Aziza
“First time having brunch there and both the shakshuka and French toast were great! There was a slight miscommunication about when the dishes should arrive and they proactively fixed it. I appreciated how particular they were about when each dish should arrive. I'll definitely be back.”

Red Window
“Fantastic dinner and drinks! Small tapas-style dishes with fantastic flavor and plating. Drinks are gorgeous and delicious. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Highly recommend!”
“What can I possibly say about Tony’s pizza that hasn’t already been said a million times before? The place is a North Beach staple, does a ton of business, serves awesome food and Tony is still humble enough to answer messages personally. Plus he’s a friend of cannabis! What’s not to love!”

“Excellent food. I was worried it would be too Hawaiian and predictable, absolutely not. The only item that wasn't amazing was the baked Hawaii. It wasn't bad, just not great. One of our new favorite restaurants.”

“An actual gem of an eatery in SF. I hope only people who appreciate what hard working staff and owners do to make a plateful of ingredients into a most interesting and delicious meal - go here and eat - if they haven’t already. Love that it’s in a neighborhood - love that they have a dog - love that the staff are all pleasant - and love the food. Thank god for places like this - gives me hope.”
“Loved the vibe of this place - sorta tiki lounge, sorta neighborhood bar, sorta divey... it all worked so well. great unique drink menu, and then i had to go and do it - i asked for a drink not on the menu (a painkiller, a tropical sort of drink from my past). she looked it up and it came out in these large, heavy ceramic tiki cups... INSANE good, like she had always known how to make one. Anyway, earns a special place in my heart after that.”

“Best value tasting menu! Every menu item was delicious. Been there twice already. They change the menu every few days so there is always a reason to go back. Can’t believe they only charge $45.”
“Started with focaccia bread. Had the amberjack crudo as an appetizer. Then two pasta dishes- the GRAMIGNA, SAUSAGE RAGU, PEA LEAVES, PARMIGIANO REGGIANO and the CASONCELLI, RICOTTA, GREEN GARLIC PESTO, PISTACHIO. Both were insanely good!!! They also a great sake selection. I ordered the Sake flight, and told my server that I preferred dry sake - not sweet. She recommended three, and they were all fantastic. Highly recommend this place. ”

“Got me some a few months ago. This is clearly the best focaccia I’ve ever had. The hype is real. I tried plan, onion and pizza. All chopped into bags for me. All just amazing, maybe even addictive.”
“The seafood chaate soup with French bread is really delicious. “Atmosphere: This review is for the brunch menu. My group ordered the Katsu Sandos, Chicken & Matcha Waffle, and Duck Fat Fries. The Katsu Sandi was top of the line. The chicken thigh was really juicy and tasty and the sandwich is large! Bigger than expected for sure. Have to get it with the egg.The chicken & waffle is 4 star mainly due to the fact the chicken provided here is tiny. The waffle flavor is great and so is the matcha butter & syrup. The breading and chicken taste great. We sat outdoors and felt like we got minimal service. The host was the one who took our order and we had to ask. They made us feel like we were a bothersome by asking too. They didn’t come by regularly for refills. Overall our service experience was lackluster.Value wise, I consider it on par with other brunch spots and restaurants of its caliber. I was fine with the prices paid.Would come back again!”
“Everything you would want in terms of fresh fish and other delicious dishes. It’s only the chef and one other helper, which makes it a nice and intimate dinner. Hope chef continues the great work and get the recognition he deserves!”
“Have been going for decades. There's nothing like being served by someone who has decades of experience and is valued for their knowledge. Like being in Paris. Always great food and view.”
“We visited off of a recommendation from a friend and it didn't disappoint! The bananas foster was fantastic. The cheese grits, plain beignets, and french toast were plentiful.”

Sorella
“We had the best time at Sorella! The food was amazing and we left feeling full. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious and the wine recommendations we had paired with our meal so well. Our favorite part about the dinner though was the service! Our waiter was extremely attentive but not over bearing. He was also hilarious which added to the experience! Everyone was so respectful and happy. Truly a great experience- we will be back!”
Outdoor Dining
“Great service, food, and cute decor. Highly recommend. I got the 10hr bolognese parppadelle and tortellini in broth and both were amazing. The portions are kinda small so order extra if you are hungry.”
“It's in the name, and frankly it's in the oven too, but it's hard to find anything that's not excellent here. Amazing pizzas with perfect, delicate crusts that are perfect blend of traditional and new school. Acapulco is my favorite, they're all a good choice. Great cocktails and wine program, and an amazing staff who will make you want to come back (almost) as much as the food. Ask about dessert!”
“Always wanted to try this place out and finally did. The line was not too bad, but parking is definitely not easy in the area. It’s better to catch a ride or use public transportation if you decide to come. Waited for roughly around 30 minutes from ordering to the time I received my order. At first I thought this might just be one of those tourist/hype spots but it was definitely worth the wait, it’s not the best burrito I’ve had but it’s definitely up there. Will be back again some day.Parking: Parking is definitely not easy depending on the time of the dayWheelchair accessibility: Main door is wheelchair accessible”

““Fusion” omakase. Expensive but very well executed, everything we were served was delicious. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar to get the full experience, our chefs at tables 9 and 10 were fun and engaging throughout service. The sake omakase was underwhelming, but YMMV, our drinks server was busy as he was serving the entire joint, on a different night, it might have been better.”
“It’s a beautiful and very chic place! The accommodation is excellent! A friendly atmosphere.Parking: A clearly marked location, enough room for easy parking.Kid-friendliness: Children will be able to access it easily thanks to a flat and well-appointed courtyard.”
“First time having brunch there and both the shakshuka and French toast were great! There was a slight miscommunication about when the dishes should arrive and they proactively fixed it. I appreciated how particular they were about when each dish should arrive. I'll definitely be back.”
“I love Outerlands, it's a beautiful, small and cozy space and at dinner time it is lit just right. We were a large group seated by the window, and the service was truly impeccable. The String Theory & River Crossing cocktails are two of the best drinks I've ever had, anywhere. They make that aperitivo rossa themselves, OMG. Balanced perfection and, oh, just SO GOOD! Outstanding mixology. The starters were great (esp the kohlrabi salad--GET IT!), but a bunch of us had the chicken as our main and it was sadly disappointing. It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. Your customers are loyal and we love you and want you to succeed. BTW, great date night ambiance!”
“Cotogna was a superb experience from the minute we walked in. Service is warm and attentive, the food is spectacular. We loved everything we ate. “We were running a bit late but the owner was super accommodating and understanding and still accepted our reservation. On top of that the Staff are extremely friendly! Then we get to the food! It was phenomenal! We ordered several items and all were excellent! I have to say the Oysters were delicious but don't sleep on the fish-n-chips or the Crab sandwich!! All great!!”
“Wonderfully seasoned, very great flavors, and quite reasonable. Friendly service. We are "family style" sharing plates, appreciated the opportunity to taste more things that way.”

“Strong, if not quite impeccable service, good ambiance. The excellent staff and stellar food push it over the top though. The menu isn't overly complicated, but everything was executed extremely well, with exceptional care and attention to detail. The ingredient choices are thoughtful, timely, and combined insightfully to highlight multiple elements in every dish. Bravo, Niku!”

“I don't know if I just didn't nail my choices but I didn't think it was 5 stars. Maybe I expected more due to the excitement of having vegan sushi. Anyway, I thought it was ok food but not mind blowing. Flavors a bit muddled.”

“Cute French restaurant with excellent food! We ordered extensively and have no regrets. Portions was great. You leave feeling like it was too little nor too much. Things we ordered: -Miyagi oyster special -Dungeness crab pave: this was a HIT. Much appreciation for the thinly sliced hasselback like potato base. So yum. -tuna sashimi: freshhhh -Hen of the woods: burst of umami. Perfection -crispy squid: perfectly crispyyyy -mushroom farro "risotto" with crispy kale and bacon: loved the flavors here! But a part of me wishes it was the real risotto. -duck confit: CRISPY SKIN. Ugh so good. Fall off the bone.l -pineapple napoleon: blown away by this as someone who does not care for napoleon at all. I liked this -chocolate mousse with coffee crumble: a tried and true fave of mine Service was attentive. Never had my glass empty. No complaints here. Would def go back. Appreciated how cute all the table ware and flatware was too.”
“I am very lucky to live within walking distance to this great omakase restaurant. Been there four times and it never disappoints. Thank you for being a neighborhood gem.”

“Excellent service! Recommend Peking Duck, whole crab with vermicelli & prime steak with mushrooms. Excellent veggie (Yu Chou) stir fried with garlic cloves. Food was well seasoned but not salty nor greasy. Small'ish dining room so reservations are a must”
“A beautiful blend of flavors and textures. I'm giving a 4 because it's my first time there and I'd like to see what's next on their seasonal menu.I went here for my birthday so my media has no labels. I was pleasantly surprised with each of the dish that we had. Each item had their own uniqueness to it and I love how original the flavor combos were. I personally like going to restaurants that have an assembly operation in front of you because it's cool to see how these dishes beautifully come together.I will say the dessert was a very refreshing yet satisfying touch. Hibiscus ice cream on top of a rose apple with a buttermilk foam. Like...just wow.Highly recommend for a special occasion or just treat yourself. Well done chef, I'll be coming back.”
“I personally enjoyed this spot quite a bit. It was really exciting to step into the space that has been designed to feel, in my opinion, both elemental and austere but simultaneously well appointed and inviting. The service was mostly good, we had a medium sized group and they were able to accommodate us with short notice. One of my friends was unfortunately being difficult and I thought our server handled the situation positively. Bold and assertive flavors that feel deliberate and well considered. The execution of the food was good, the food was prompt and well seasoned. I think this restaurant does a pretty good job.”
“Ju Ni in San Francisco is an exceptional dining experience that deserves no less than five stars. Specializing in Japanese cuisine, the restaurant offers an intimate and meticulously crafted menu that showcases the finest ingredients and culinary skills. Holding two Michelin stars for two years is a testament to its consistent quality and innovation. The chef at Ju Ni is not only professional but also engaging and interesting, adding a unique touch to the dining experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unparalleled sushi experience in San FranciscoP.S. I believe the dinner menu starts around 200 per person. Adding drink and some other items, it’s around 300$ per person.”

“Truly for "Friends Only!" Ten seats at an "L"-shaped raw bar. Got to chat and share experiences with all the guests AND the staff. Made a lot of "Friends" tonight and got to share dining at its finest and food of superior quality and taste!”
“Beautiful ambiance and delicious Portuguese cuisine, I loved my first outing here with my boo who has been here before. We started off with a yummy potato soup followed by cod and potato fritter. For our entrees, I ordered the bacalhau à Gomes de sá, and my boo ordered the carne de porco à alentejana (I liked his dish a little better). We didn’t skip on dessert, and ordered the beautiful pastel de nata. Will be coming back again!”

“Fantastic food, great service, excellent cocktails, and really interesting/diverse selection of Mexican wines. Weekend brunch is also really good. Best Mexican restaurant in SF!”
“Easily my favorite restaurant in SF and honestly the best pizza place I've personally ever had. The beer selection is great too and one of the only places with a good amount of sours!”

“If you need a locksmith, I strongly suggest this locksmith and crew. They are incredibly prompt and professional. I phoned, and he arrived the same day, which was exceptional. He performed an excellent job at our property. In addition to replacing a lock and producing replacement keys, Team provided me with valuable information and suggestions regarding my type of lock.”
“The establishment is quite small but the lines and wait times was long. Look ahead at the menu and be ready to order, receive, pay, and take it to-go. Service is prompt and you can find options around the area to sit and eat.”
“City view commissary is a class A establishment! Beautiful kitchen and storage areas. They offer 24/7 security frozen dry and walk in fridge storage spaces in the kitchen area. Automated gates with PIN code access as well as lock box keys for kitchen and storage entry. Kitchen hours can be booked. City view offers several cooking areas which have stove oven and frying capabilities. Bonus equipment that they have is two large mixers and ice machines that are serviced regularly! There are two pull down dishwashing machines and sink areas. Outside truck storage areas have power outlets built into each stall with different size outlets to fit 220/110 connections. Another bonus for city view is that they have a high pressure washer and DSD machine that can be used to service your food truck or trailers grey water and water tanks. Restrooms and a shower if needed! We did not get to use the commissaries event space but they do have a large event area for parties. Last but certainly not least is the greatest asset that city view has to offer which is CJ! Cj is the manager at city view, he has been an absolute pleasure to work with since we joined the commissary. Knowledge foresight collaboration empathy humor all wrapped up within this awesome human being.”
“This is the best spot in sf between midnight and 5. Give James and Gus and may and tony and Ming a raise already. The best place on the Main Street of the best city at night.”
“AWESOME. A COFFEE-MAKING ROBOT! it lets you choose the blend of coffee you want and dispenses it. The robot also does the cutest little waves. Coffee was surprisingly good albeit a little expensive at 7.25 but it didn’t ask for tip so it cancels out for a regular Californian price latte. it offers oatmilk as well! The matcha is great and tastes like actual matcha. 10/10 would recommend.”
“It's an express so out of a machine! I got a spicy kimichi beef and OMG first time trying it and was unbelievable good! It took less than 5 mins to come out. It was inside the UCSF cafeteria so it's a little loud.”
“When I ventured into Denny's, little did I know I was about to encounter a burger that would redefine my understanding of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The **Bacon Avocado Burger** is not just a meal; it's a culinary adventure wrapped in a bun.As I took the first bite, the crispy bacon whispered sweet nothings to the creamy avocado, creating a symphony of flavors that danced across my taste buds. The burger patty itself, a seasoned thespian on the stage of my palate, performed with a gusto that would earn a standing ovation from any food critic. The lettuce and tomato, not to be outdone, added a refreshing crunch and a splash of color, like the supporting cast in a blockbuster hit. And let's not forget the bun, golden and toasted to perfection, a true unsung hero holding together this masterpiece. In a world where burgers come and go, the Bacon Avocado Burger at Denny's stands tall, a beacon of hope for those seeking a sign that yes, bacon and avocado do belong together. It's not just a burger; it's a love story between pig and fruit, a tale as old as thyme (which I suspect was in the seasoning). So, if you find yourself wandering into a Denny's, do yourself a favor and order the Bacon Avocado Burger. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that will leave you pondering the great mysteries of life, like "Why did I not try this sooner?" and "Will I ever be able to eat a regular burger again?"Rating: 5 out of 5 stars – for the burger that turned my world upside down and made me believe in love at first bite. ??”
“All the times I ate here, I always had a pleasant experience. The staff is super friendly and polite. Their food selection has more variety. Their food is actually very tasty. The only thing that was a downer this day was a homeless man quietly talking to himself while eating his food.”
“So, when deciding how many stars to rate it’s important to keep everything in context! For example, the atmosphere here is not very welcoming. The seating section is often closed and the energy from security is very “get in, get out. No loitering. Bye!”, but when taken in the context of how central a location this place is and that it’s one of the only remaining 24/7 spots in The City, in that light I think they’re actually doing a pretty good job!Their food IS expensive AF! OMG! But it’s also always satisfying. Every time. Consistency is a virtue. Unlike the food you get from REDACTED or REDACTED. So, I guess, you get what it is that you pay for.Oh yeah AND they accept EBT, too! And in my eyes that’s exceptional and appreciated FR!All things considered, I’m just happy this place still exists at all. Because without it our options are Orphan Andy’s, Denny’s?, Bob’s Donuts, Allstar Donuts, Pizza Zone ‘N Grill (but only until 3 or 4am weekends), 7-11, or Walgreens. What happened to San Francisco’s Night Life?”
“Lots of space, upstairs. Great pan handle and free soda fox like lokey.Parking: Drive-through is long as f yet fast fast.Wheelchair accessibility: Do a Wheely in it too”

“Sandy’s never misses. The muffuletta and pickled egg sando are a favorite. We’ve been several times and the quality is always consistent and amazing. Such a brilliant idea to put chips in the egg salad sando. 12/10, can’t recommend Sandy’s enough! If I lived closer to Sandy’s I would definitely come here once a week.”
“What a lovely place. Top end dining with no pretentiousness. Pleasant, cozy setting with likeable and capable staff. Don't hesitate to take an earlier seating; by the time you are done dinner, it will be late. The zero-proof drinks are genius; I didn't miss the ethanol.”
“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)”
“Honestly... giving this place a 5 stat because it is actually good, it is so big, and less than $5. Enough said..... The area is a bit sketch, but you won't be there for too long so it is okay! Come with a friend as parking can be hard. It can get pretty busy but they are fairly quick. I have never heard of anyone arodering a sanwich from here and being dissapointed. Our group recently orderd 1 pork, 1 tofu, 1 chicken, and everyone was satisfied.”
“Go to The Morris! Last night was my second fabulous meal there and the exceptional staff (thank you Amy and Gavin!) helped me out when we over-ordered but couldn’t take the leftovers home, because we were headed to a concert. They allowed me to pick up my doggie bag today, with a freshly cooked main. Highlights were the cocktails, charcuterie, little gems, pork cracklins, and today I got to enjoy the steak I ordered last night when my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Yum!”
“Have been going for decades. There's nothing like being served by someone who has decades of experience and is valued for their knowledge. Like being in Paris. Always great food and view.”
“Have been coming to Camino Alto since it opened in late 2021, mostly for lunch and occasionally for dinner. The food is fresh and tasty, prepared with quality ingredients - and the service have been consistently good.It ’s unassuming from the street, with an interior that is clean, modern and minimalist.Check it out!”
“The food here was fantastic; everything was delicious. We also ordered the Pezza de Angioni a sa Saba (Seared Lamb Tenderloin Tagliata Sardinian Saba), and one of the specials for the day, which was a pasta with a tomato-based beef and mushroom sauce. Our plates were clean. The bread for the table was perfect for picking up any leftover sauce. We got there right as it opened, and the restaurant filled up as the time went by; the volume in the place slowly increased as we dined there. The service was decent, and our water glasses were filled on a consistent basis. I'm not sure if they added specials for the day as the night went on, but other tables seemed to be told about more than the two specials that we heard when we arrived. I would definitely return at least once more if I am back in the city, as I would like to try the Pasta Cruzza cun Arrizonis (Artisanal Fusilli Sea Urchin Tomato Cured Tuna).”
“Great North Beach spot for thicc Sicilan style slices. The walk up window makes for fast service and is great while sightseeing or with unruly groups! There are just a few slice options but there's something for everyone.”
“Dumplings Home in San Francisco is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese dumplings. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly steamed dumplings fills the air, promising a delightful culinary experience. The variety of dumplings offered is impressive, each bursting with flavorful fillings and wrapped in perfectly thin dough. Whether you opt for classic pork, flavorful shrimp, or savory vegetable fillings, every bite is a taste of perfection. The dipping sauces provided complement the dumplings perfectly, enhancing their already exquisite taste. The service is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Without a doubt, Dumplings Home is a must-visit destination for dumpling enthusiasts in San Francisco.”
“Such a unique place to enjoy best class delicious Korean food & drinks with music & dance lounge vibes. I enjoyed both authentic & creative Korean dishes and lesser-known premium Korean drinks. So much fun!!!”
“Food is great, but a little on the pricier side. Vibe / atmosphere is spot on. Most of the staff are well trained and pleasant but the host/ seating process feels inhospitable and overly optimized for efficiency as they will not seat tables even if the majority is there, ready to order, and knows that the table needs to be turned over for a second sitting, making it a bit dysfunctional for larger groups (things happen, sometimes a person will be late and the show must go on).”
“A gem. SF is so lucky to have a place like this to call its own. Non-caricature chef’s tasting: in every bite you feel the chef’s soul and peer into his vision (if you frequent nyc fine dining or read Pete Wells’ piece on Nōksu, fair or not, you know what I mean.) Seasonal ingredients, personified in the chef’s diverse culinary journey.During the winter months, be sure to round up a crew of 4-6 and pre-order the king crab. The vibe is cali-convivial, in the best sense of laid back but get it done way.Early weekday seating, the restaurant is sparsely seated and it feels like you are a guest in chef’s home, warm and inviting.”
“Just happened to stumble into this wonderful restaurant on a rainy holiday Sunday evening and couldn't have had a better experience. Our reservation at Original Joe's was getting bumped out 30-45 minutes so we bailed. Lucky us. It was too loud to even talk at Original Joe's. We'll be returning to Trattoria Contradina in the future.Dietary restrictions: They did have some gluten-free options. Yea.”

“Great service, food, and cute decor. Highly recommend. I got the 10hr bolognese parppadelle and tortellini in broth and both were amazing. The portions are kinda small so order extra if you are hungry.”

“7 mushroom mousse must order. Beans apppetiEr was a bit too spicy. Crispy mushroom entree was really good. Tofu egg noodles was very very good. Market fish curry less good.”
“Fantastic food, great service, excellent cocktails, and really interesting/diverse selection of Mexican wines. Weekend brunch is also really good. Best Mexican restaurant in SF!”

“The sparkling white was perfect! So dry and yummy. Only complaint is that the pour is so small, didn't look like 5 oz but then that could be me just wishing it was more :( They also had at least one sour option.”
“The food was amazing and the chef was engaging and fun. My friend and I both got the Omakase (as well as several other one-off orders). The fish was exceptional and the rice was perfect.”
“This place is amazing! Small, but once you get inside you know you’re up to something. Portions are big, service is fast. Everything tasted was absolutely delicious, but the crispy chicken with red chilly oil takes the crown. Highly recommended!”
“On a whim, my daughter and I stopped here for lunch. We split the regular fried chicken sandwich and, I kid you not, it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was perfectly cooked. Very flavorful in all the components. Very impressed and will definitely be back the next time I'm in SF.”
“First time at Rocket Sushi.I had the Tonkatsu Curry at my friend's recommendation and it was delicious. My friend ordered the udon and ate every bit.Service was good. We dined on a Monday so the atmosphere was pretty mellow and everyone seemed to be having a good time.Would definitely go back.”
“Been here a couple of times but must say in San Francisco because the one in Oakland get only 1 star from me, food is good and service as well, parking on the street might be a little ”
“A great neighborhood bar serving fine casual restaurant quality American food, hand crafted cocktails, import and craft beer, served in a cozy atmosphere where the friendly service makes you feel at home and always welcome. Add on plenty of outdoor patio seating, a variety of live music, dancing, a pool table, darts, and a hip vibe, and this place makes you want to come back again and again.Parking: Paid parking meters available during the day, free after 6pmKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome during the day”
“Very friendly staff and I love the music that was playing wasn't too loud and perfectly appropriate. Great mid-evening crowd giving the place a warm atmosphere filled with friends. The gumbo was easily the best I've ever had. A little on the pricey side but every bite was rich and fantastic. Will absolutely come here the next time I get the chance.”
“I just recently relocated to the area, and although there are many spots to choose from I just love this cafe. There are always people sitting in the cafe visiting, watching a soccer or football game, and the workers are so nice. I am always making "special" orders (modifications like no cheese, no dairy. etc) and the staff has always welcomed these requests and exceeded my expectations while making my order with care. It feels like you popped into a friend or family member's house to grab a bite/ coffee. I will be coming here often!”
“This is your cue to visit this beautiful location if you haven't already.Wonderful people, an authentic interior, but food! It's beyond words to describe. To believe it, you have to feel it. each dish is cooked to perfection, with an excellent flavor balance. I love it.”
“Every time I visit North Beach u make sure to stop here at least once. The food is extraordinary. It’s really the authentic dishes that remind me of all the food my Italian neighbor would make for me growing up.”
“Food:- Duck curry was phenomenal, that’s why this is 5⭐️ for me.- The papaya salad with crab was hard to eat and not my favorite but would be great for those that love fermented seafood flavors.- Pad see ew was average to pretty good- naked prawns were good, normal shrimp- crispy pork belly sweet basil was solid taste but not crispy at all. Maybe they let it sit in the sauce too long.- the people next to us got the wings and I can’t speak to the taste but I didn’t realize they were wings at first they were so small. Had almost no meat at all.Drink:- Saap ver knock-out was solid- saap ver damn good was really tasty if you like lychee. Whatever they rim it with was a great texture and good sweet and spicyService was prompt and did a good job of anticipating needs.Came out to ~$160 for all of the above. (excepting the wings)”
“OMGWhat just happened?Go to MaMo restaurant.Have the beef arrepa. It comes with salad.?I couldn't believe what happened to meThe flavor experience was not only startling, but bafflingly enjoyable. What a pleasant surprise to find such a hidden gem in the North Beach neighborhood. I don't know how I walked past it so many times and never even noticed it is right here...Finally, I have a suggestion to share with the Texan who usually gives me all the recommendations for this neighborhood. It all happened so quickly, I didn’t think to get a photo(s) to share, and it was already over.I’ll go back, though—that’s for sure!Selection of beer and wine.Clean bathroom.Really friendly service.Free parking on the street up to 2 hours.Dine in or take out.If you choose to give a thumbs-up ?? or not, I hope you found my review helpful!Vegetarian options: vegan options. salad.Dietary restrictions: vegan optionsParking: free street parking up to 2 hours.Wheelchair accessibility: no step. wheelchair table.”
“The quality of their coffee and the skill at pulling espresso shots is the best in the city. They roast their own beans on site and have a health + delicious food menu. This is my favorite spot to grab a great americano in the city.”
“Over the summer I ordered via TooGoodToGo, which this location offers regularly. I received a few pastries and a couple of cookies for $4.33. I'd buy again if I was in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way.”

“Impeccable service, some of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area (including the 50+ Michelin starred restaurants I’ve visited). Love that the head chef and kitchen staff get involved in the service. Terrific beverage pairing. Admired the Chef’s willingness to get off the beaten path a bit with the 20 or so bites/dishes and not just play the fancy diner’s greatest hits. A few misses the night we were there including the pork (dry), minuet & dungeness crab (too salty) and mackerel (too much vinegar/acid). The Som clearly loves his craft and breathes life into his also unusual pairings. A shoo-in for a Michelin Star, and I suspect with time two stars as the food continues to be explored and tested for excellence. $245 for the menu and $165 for the pairing feels neither like a steal or robbery but on the money. Hats off John Wesley and Team.”
“I've been lucky enough to dine at some of the country's best spots, including 3 star restaurants, and can honestly say that Sons & Daughters was my favorite experience of them all. When you’re eating in a Michelin-starred restaurant, the food is going to be good- that’s a given. But what sets Sons & Daughters apart is the personal touch and care that is apparent in every dish. Chef Harrison Cheney and the entire team foster an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and the furthest thing from the uppity and pretentious vibes that some spots of this caliber operate in. When dining at Sons & Daughters, you feel like the team there truly appreciates having you and that you are amongst friends.Chef Cheney’s menu is a masterclass in new Nordic with signature touches like a noted emphasis on acidity levels and the creative use of lactic fermentation to stand out from the crowd. I caught myself remarking that each dish was one of, if not the, best bites I’ve ever had- only to be outdone by the next one. Pro tip: if you don’t drink or are looking for something different, the non-alcoholic drink pairing is an experience worthy of visiting the restaurant for on its own.Long story short, the current iteration of Sons & Daughters under Chef Cheney is immaculate and what fine dining is all about. One star is criminally too low for what this experience brings to the table.”
“It was always pleasant to experience chef making your the nigiri in front of you.My favorite dish from the menu was:Honmaguro Toro Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Anago Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kamasu Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hojicha Ice Cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Recommended to visit this restaurant to experience high quality Japanese cuisine!”
“Overall 6.7/10 Was really excited to try this place and came for dinner a few days ago. I wasn't super enthusiastic about the meal; my husband liked it a lot better than I did. Service was great throughout. We did the high top reservation and they're in a little half nook; interior was nice. We ordered the Shrimp Chips, Stemple Creek Beef with Hong Kong Noodles, and Peking Duck. Shrimp chips were basic ships with some malt vinegar; nothing super exciting but tasty. The noodles I did not like at all; had one small serving and was done with them. I thought they had a weird tomato flavor to them. My husband loved them and finished the dish for us. Peking Duck was interesting. It comes with crepes, cucumbers, cilantro, some green onions, peanut hoisin sauce, and a mousse. Peanut hoisin was good - I was a bit concerned, but it was nice. The crepes were thicker than normal - again a little concerned, but when eating it was perfectly pleasant. The duck itself it almost a bit of a BBQ duck -- it wasn't the typical Peking Duck that you get at Chinese restaurants. If you do want the typical Peking Duck flavor, I wouldn't recommend this. It was good though. The duck itself was really fatty, which I wasn't as big a fan of. Overall, it was an ok Peking Duck -- wasn't my favorite, but definitely a fun option if you want a different style. As noted in other reviews, even though we did reserve a duck with the reservation it does take an hour to come out. The wait staff did try to pace out our dishes so we didn't feel like we had to wait a really long time for it, but just a warning if you order it be prepared to wait.”
“Great experience, all around. Interesting decor, creative dishes with unexpected ingredients, attentive staff, and fun wines. My party had a little delay being fully seated (because we ordered the tasting menu, and a larger table was needed to fit all the dishes), but they graciously made that right by seating us in an interim area, providing a free round of cocktails & a nice carrot dish to nosh on while we waited. That was classy. The radicchio dish is really stellar. Also particularly enjoyed the kingfish sashimi and scallops. Everything else was very tasty as well.”
“There are very few restaurants that serve amazing vegetarian prix fixe menus (every single item on the menu was a 10/10), and also leave you feeling full / content at the end of your meal. Flour + water does that! Highly recommend for a special occasion splurge!”

“I had one of the best restaurant meals ever in San Francisco last night at Sorrel. The pictured dish is described as maitake / potato / dashi, the first course of seven and my favourite. The wine pairing was very good, and the service outstanding. Great celiac accommodation for me. Instead of the pasta based crab dish I got a stunningly excellent sun-choke risotto. Highly recommended for a special occasion.Dietary restrictions: I had excellent accommodation for my celiac affliction. Instead of the pasta based crab dish I got a stunningly excellent sun-choke risotto.”
“The entire evening was perfect - the service, excellent; the explanations of each course was right on; the food, outstanding; the wine list, perfect. In other words, it was an excellent experience. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the birthday special - from a hand written birthday card to a surprise additional birthday sweet with candle at the end. In addition the staff was very careful to meet our dietary restrictions. I cannot state more than this: it was noteworthy and will return.”
“One of the best meals we’ve ever had in SF at an amazing price. ???Amazing flavors from finish to end. Excellent service. It was wonderful to see the chef dancing while cooking. What a gem.”
“A phenomenal omakase experience. The customer service and food is top notch. Recommended for either those who fly solo or are looking for an intimate dinner date. Not cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for; which, in this case, is the quality and experience. Reservations are recommended since there are only 12 to 16 seats - walk in without a reservation at your own risk. Will be visiting again at some point.”
“Great food, great staff, great concept. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something super special, and it's a great place to go if you have a large group of people with something to celebrate.”
“A must SF Dining experience. My 3rd time there was as fantastic as the 1st. The bread & cultured Butter is the best you will ever taste. Wait staff is on top of it. And I really enjoy hearing from each chef about the dish that they prepared. You won't be sorry. ??”
“Overall: A nice restaurant for a prefixe dinner.Would I come back: YesThe extended review… - Had a really nice three course meal that was delicious. A very nice blend of tastes that left me very satisfied. - Friendly and attentive staff. - A mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately I booked outdoor on cold day. So if you decide to do so be sure to layer up.”

“The absolute best bagels (I’m partial to their Everything), and their cream cheese selection is also stellar. Better than anything I ever had during my years living in NYC! I like how you can toast and eat them at home since it’s all take-away. For dinner, the Detroit-style pizza is tasty and the place has a chill vibe with great music playing usually.”
“I tried baguette, puff pastry brioche and fig tartlet. The baguette was nothing more, the brioche was hollow rancid but it must have been an accident since the others are delighted with it and after informing the shop I got a refund which is very kind and fair play. The tartlet was divine and I dream of tasting it again but since I don't live nearby, I never found it on the right day, even via Doordash. In short, give it a try and if you are disappointed, don't hesitate to talk to them directly about it, they are open people.”
“What a fish burrito! Perfectly cooked, and great flavor. I had the fried fish of the day with their signature hot sauce and it was perfect after a day of walking around. A must-stop if you are over by ocean beach.I went on rainy day which means seating wasn’t great as it’s a walk up restaurant with outdoor seating, but could imagine it on a beautiful sunny day. (On the plus side I got my food really fast).”
“Suuuuuper delicious tea and bagel, my friend got a chai latte and veggie sandwich and loved it - the guys were so so so sweet and lovely and it was overall such a wonderful experience definitely coming ”
“Holy Water is a fantastic neighborhood bar. Amazing selection of whiskey and mezcal, the Zombie is Delicious, and they always have some sort of high quality stout from Private Press. The lighting is mood, and they are dog friendly!”
“The place to get ice cream during a good sunny day at Dolores park! They have many unique flavors, malt favorite is the basil ice cream! The Mango with a little chili ?️ spice is my favorite!!”
“Honestly, my favorite sandwiches in SF. Really high quality meats... crisp, fresh produce... several homemade condiments... and Acme bread! It's always hard for me to make up my mind about what I want. Call or use an app to order ahead, it might take a minute to make your sandwich.”
“All of their beans are vegetarian.Vegetarian options: All the beans are vegetarian. The menu does not make that very clear. There are a couple of veggie burritos on the menu, but you'll have to order the exact toppings you want (e.g. beans) if you want veggie nachos or tacos quesadilla.”
“This place is a dream come true for sourdough lovers. I am sad that I couldn’t just try everything but at least I got to taste their danish, chocolate croissant and babka. They were all amazing!”
“Τoscano Brothers has probably surpassed Daily Driver as the best bagel bakers in San Francisco. All their bagels are boiled but Tony Gemigniani puts his own Italian twist to the recipe and the result is an eye-opening, fresh and very chewy bagel with perfect texture. All their pastries and sandwiches are what you would expect: elevated and decadent. Kudos to their Detroit style pizza; perfectly made with a nutty, cheesy artisan crust topped with high-end mozzarella. This pie is better than anything I've had in Detroit that's for sure.Love this place, A+++”
“We tried a bunch of coffee in this area, this one by the best one out of all of them. The croissant with chocolate was really good and we tried special coffee with coco y choco, which really good and my sister tried the cafe con morro which was good too but we found ourselves to be more of the coco choco gals. The cute lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in explaining things to us, the cafe is nice and spacious and clean. You want good coffee stop by here”
“BEST CROISSANTS IN THE BAY!!!My boyfriend and I live in South Bay, but we make the trek up to the city just for these croissants. The line is long, but it goes quick! We get one thing and one thing only: the plain croissant. It is a buttery flakey explosion of deliciousness in your mouth—we will often devour one outside right after we get it from the shop.”
“My favorite place in San Francisco, everything seasoned with an amazing delicacy, there is no waste in anything on their menu (The chicken in any presentation is ufff, the Brussels sprouts or the Umami not to mention...), the place is very clean, the very careful attention and always everyone with the best attitude in the service.. they got 100Vegetarian options: Very healthy food for demanding tastesDietary restrictions: Gluten free menuKid-friendliness: Dishes well suited for childrenWheelchair accessibility: There are no steps in the premises”
“The kale Caesar’s salad with the crispy chickpeas is one of the best salads I’ve ever had anywhere, and the sweet potato tartine was also perfect. Great tea, absolutely beautiful space, laptop-friendly, good vibes, all around an excellent place that makes me wish I was in SF more often just so I could go there more. :’)”
“Living nearby, we consistently choose this spot for its unbeatable combination of food variety, prices, and exceptional staff. The open kitchen concept is a highlight, showcasing the chefs' remarkable speed and coordination. While weekends can get busy due to its popularity and small size, the overall dining experience never disappoints.Highly recommended for a satisfying meal close to home or if visiting SF!”

Zuni Café
“We ordered what they are known for, the roast chicken, and it was very tasty. Probably one of the best roast chicken I’ve had. I think the thighs were the best part since the breast can be dry, so the bread that was filled in the chicken with balsamic meshed really well with. The chicken has tree nuts!We ordered Caesar salad, the cheese and crackers dessert, bread + butter, and eton mess. The salad was good since the dressing was much lighter and the croutons crispy but not hard. The cheese and cracker with apricot was heavy and strong on the cheese, the preserves balanced it out very well. The bread and butter was ok. Not warm, could have more butter.Eton mess was also decent, filled with cream, rhubarb.I thought it was interesting and probably part of their service that the wait staff remember all your orders without pen or paper. Service was friendly and we enjoyed our dinner here. We lucked out on parking, didnt see many spots.Parking: Depends on time of day. There are enforcement signs for M-F. Please read carefully before parking.”
“Cute little spot with a great wine program and delicious food. Very large by the glass wine list for a restaurant of this size, and there’s a great mix of options to please classic and adventurous palettes alike. The food was delicious - everything was light, fresh, and with a great mix of textures. Staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Well defined vision and great experience!Dietary restrictions: Staff were very knowledgeable to help navigate the menu for food allergies.”
“I am very lucky to live within walking distance to this great omakase restaurant. Been there four times and it never disappoints. Thank you for being a neighborhood gem.”
“We came here for my husbands birthday, we got their at 3:30 pm, since they close at 6 pm. I had the double stack burger, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bread was so soft, the patties were tender and cooked médium well. It was so good. The fries were extra crisp and salty, I love fries, I would go back just for the fries! I also had an M3 I think that what the drink was called. Get it! My husband also bought two pizzas and a salad. Which were both yum♡ And of course you get a beautiful view. I would layer, if your planning to be their a while.Parking: Don't worry about parking, there is tons of it.”

“Such a unique place to enjoy best class delicious Korean food & drinks with music & dance lounge vibes. I enjoyed both authentic & creative Korean dishes and lesser-known premium Korean drinks. So much fun!!!”
“Toripaitan was good especially if you like bone broth ramen ? it is bursting with different flavors that it was abit too much for me. For the price point in sf, it’s understandable. I wish the chashu was more tender ?? we also waited for atleast 25-30 mins since their shop is so small but the wait was worth it.”

Uma Casa
“Beautiful ambiance and delicious Portuguese cuisine, I loved my first outing here with my boo who has been here before. We started off with a yummy potato soup followed by cod and potato fritter. For our entrees, I ordered the bacalhau à Gomes de sá, and my boo ordered the carne de porco à alentejana (I liked his dish a little better). We didn’t skip on dessert, and ordered the beautiful pastel de nata. Will be coming back again!”

AKIKOS
“Amazing experience. Incredibly fresh, amazing creativity, and simple but attentive service; with a great drink lineup. Top flight omakase. Their new location is certainly an upgrade aesthetically.”
“Soooo good. We got the chow mein, jhol momos, chili momos and paneer makhani. The favorite was prob the paneer makhani - the flavors are really rich and sweet. There's def a lot of sodium in the chili and chow mein si but the flavors are quite fragrant and strong.”
“ONE65 is a hidden gem. They offer something for everyone. We were 7, we ordered loads of small plates & 2 dinners. Just wanted to try it all. Nice surprises! Great cocktails! We'll be back!”

Sushi Hakko
“This sushi place is simply outstanding! The food is spectacular! It’s an authentic Japanese sushi, not an American version of sushi. The place is not cheap but it’s worth every dollar! Great place for a special occasion! Highly recommended!”
“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.”
Yea.”

Palm City
“Palm City is a great hang. Probably a better hang than restaurant even though their hoagies are bigger than your forearm, but the ambiance for a luxurious dinner or weekend lunch is worth the trek, even if parking in the avenues is hellish. The salad is a nice meal even if the ingredients are a bit disjointed, but such is the danger of a chopped salad. A greater helping of the tahini dressing might help tie things together.”
“Jonathan is the best. He made me the best martini I ever had so far, which is a lot to say. Hands down to Jonathan. Also best presentation of a martini. Good hospitality by the staff. Deftly coming back when I’m in San Francisco. ❤️❤️”

“Super cute inside & great food! Chao Pescao was awesome, and big shoutout to the manager for making it extra special! She really went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Definitely coming back for more!”

Penny Roma
“This was a great place for a date night. The portions were smaller than we expected but everything was delicious. The papardelle was tasty but we felt like they could have been more generous with the mushrooms or “Funghi.” Even the broccolini portions felt scant. The citrus avocado salad was bright and tasty and the cacio e Pepe was cheesy in the most perfect way. Overall everything was tasty but we wished there was slightly more of everything that were highlights of the dish.Vegetarian options: Cacio e Pepe, pappardelle with funghi, all the salads”

“Great omakase and a good value at $125 for the highest tier. I would definitely return for this. However I would NOT recommend the wine/sake pairing which costs an extra $90 -- completely overpriced and not worth it at all.”
“I went to House of Prime Rib this weekend. My friend has been booking their birthday here for the past few years, and I always look forward to coming! The food is delicious and the value is great. I usually get the City cut, which is the smallest cut, and I can never finish it. The menu is easy to navigate… mainly because the choices consist of how much beef you want. If you’re a vegetarian, don’t worry. They have great baked potatoes, creamed corn, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, yorkshire, and salad. Also, that was basically the menu. Easy right?? They also have a small list of classic desserts. The drinks taste balanced and are well made. They give you the sidecar, so be prepared to stay for a while or take an Uber. The decor is classic, cozy, and clean. When I’m here, I feel like I’m going to run into the Rat Pack or Marilyn Monroe. It’s always been crowded when I’ve been here, but that’s what makes it fun for me. It’s crowded, but I don’t feel like a sardine. The restaurant flows. The staff is so friendly and attentive. You do have to book a reservation a few months in advance, but this place is well worth the wait!”

“Great beer and wonderful staff. One of the best games to play is when you're in the bathroom and there happens to be someone in the stall keeping really quiet until you leave. When you've done you're thing and you're on your way out pretend to leave. Open the door and close it again. That person in the stall will think you've left and they'll let it rip. Most people will have been holding it back, probably gripping the sides of the toilet, waiting for you to leave and when its released it'll make a hell of a noise. You can then laugh all the way back to your beer knowing that you caught them at their most vulnerable. Sometimes I just make the fart noise and then leave. It's up to you how you play it.”

Savor Cafe
“Modest neighborhood cafe with very tasty vegetarian food. I recommend the mushroom burger. It's really more of a mushroom sandwich on house baked buns that remind me of croissants.”

Ju-Ni

Deli Board
“On edit - The price although high matched the quality and expectations and then some. Regarding the bread, love sandwiches that can easily hold their contents as this does and what's better is the contents doesn't bulge out after each bite which is telling of the tenderness of the meat and contents of the wich.Holy cow Bay Area. What a sandwich! Let me start by saying I’m the cheapest son of a kiwi there is but it was love at first bite when I had my Alison pastrami and corned beef sandwich complete with waffle fries and the homemade pickles. That French bread was a blanket of delicious love that melted between your teeth as easily as the moist severely tender pastrami and corned beef. The slaw was subtle in it’s flavor and texture similar to the cheese but together with a few bites of the homemade pickle (need a little acid to balance the meat and fat) makes one believe in the Gods of sandwiches. Oh yes folks, I’m a believer with an empty savings account with no regrets. Sandwiches range between $19-$22+ with waffle fries coming in at $11+. These fries are absolutely worth their asking price. Fresh, you don’t taste the oil, seasoned delicately with a very smart fry sauce that reminds you of the most delicious potato salad. Yes folks the fry sauce is a potato salad without a potato. The fry is the potato. Given the expense of our meal I’d normally be weeping and whaling and gnashing my teeth, instead my mouth was pummeled with incredible taste, texture and flavor bombs all wrapped in a blanket of love.”
“An amazing omakase experience in SF and reasonably priced. All the sushi was so fresh and paired well with the different flavors. Even their non-sushi dishes were wonderful and their ice dessert was amazing. Make a reservation because they’re very small and fill up quickly”
“It is challenging for me to describe how much passion and effort they put into the quality of their food. When I first arrived outside the restaurant, everyone patiently waited for the door to open on the dot. When the door opens, we are warmly greeted inside and check in promptly. There was a space on the right side to hang our coats and store our umbrellas since the rain was torrential. When I first sat down, I noticed how vast and spacious the restaurant was, with a beautiful large countertop leading to an open kitchen. The first course came, and despite how assuming it looked, that single bite packed such a large amount of flavor that I knew it was going to be a lovely evening. The subsequent dishes that followed were also not what it seemed, but the flavor did not clash for me. I had plenty of sake pairing during the meal that you never thought would work with that dish, but the pairing was pretty on point. I had lots of new sake I had never drunk before, and I had taken plenty of photos of each bottle so I could find it later when I wanted to.The owners are amiable when conversing with everyone and answering questions on the dish in particular or if they have any recommendations on another restaurant they like. It is not an experience I can elaborate on in detail, but rather, you have to experience it to know how different it is from all the restaurants I have experienced in the Bay Area. I will return to try their dishes when they rotate them again for the spring time.”
“If you want to eat cioppino in SF, this is the place. Garlic and spices combine with the flavor of seafood to create a rich flavor. The clam chowder and crab cakes are also delicious. You can't make reservations so you'll have to wait in line, but it's worth it. You can also take it home, so if you live nearby, you can take it out and make pasta with the leftover soup for a great deal and delicious?”
“Thanks for a great time! The service, atmosphere and of course the food is top notch! Great food, if you are a gourmet you should visit this place, you won't regret it!Special thanks to the service staff and of course the chef.”
“So many amazing sounding pastas I couldn’t decide. Had to settle with 2 and I’ll definitely be back to get some more of them.Everything just tasted so good and unique. Sit at the chefs counter to see how it’s all done :)”

Rintaro
“Dinner here never disappoints. Everything we had was uniformly fantastic and I'm confident everything on the menu is equally good. Rich, flavorful, beautiful. One of my favorite restaurants.”
“My first visit to this new Kuma location. If you enjoy good sushi Kuma is the place to go in San Francisco. We go to Kuma every time I'm in San Francisco to see my daughter and I feel like the food and experience is better each time. I highly recommend the tuna collar. I've never had it anywhere else and it is awesome!”

“Stop reading and go have the Moto, it's epic. Rest of the pizzas are legit if not outstanding. Props to the Nutella dessert pizza, quite good as well. Nice vibe in this joint too. Well done, West Add, well done.”
“Very friendly service and good ambiance. Really liked Laurent, the host. Our food came promptly and was very good. I especially liked the crispy brussels sprouts and the apple tart dessert. The pork was tasty but a bit fatty. The salmon was very good.”

Pinsa Rossa
“Pinsa Rossa is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers, salads, and, of course, the pinsas with their crunchy, flavorful crusts are all top-notch. Ken and his team have done an incredible job creating a dining experience that’s simply outstanding!Dietary restrictions: My daughter, a brand new lactating mom who can’t consume lactose products, asked for a pinsa with vegan cheese, and we couldn’t tell the difference, it was great!Parking: There’s parking available half a block away from the place.”

Outerlands
“Dropped in looking for a latte and tried their red roiboos latte which was so good! I definitely want to come back try their other lattes and some of their food ?”
“Stepping into, one is immediately struck by its excellent ambiance, a blend of elegance and warmth that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service, too, was impeccable, with attentive staff ready to cater to every need. However, the journey took a slight detour when our eagerly awaited dishes arrived, only to find them disappointingly cold. Despite the initial chill, the standout of the evening was undoubtedly the risotto. Served piping hot and bursting with flavor, it was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. The fillet mignon, unfortunately, failed to meet expectations, arriving cold and lacking the desired tenderness. Even the truffle fries shared the same fate, arriving at our table with a noticeable chill. To their credit, the staff quickly acknowledged the oversight, going above and beyond to rectify the situation. Not only were we not charged for the subpar steak, but we were also treated to complimentary desserts. And what a treat they were! The desserts not only delighted the palate but also dazzled the eyes, a true testament to the artistry of the pastry chef. In conclusion, while the culinary journey had its ups and downs, the exceptional service and the culinary prowess showcased in dishes like the risotto and the stunning desserts left a lasting impression. With a bit more attention to detail in ensuring dishes are served at the appropriate temperature, Miller &Lux has the potential to truly shine as a culinary gem in the City”

“Easily my favorite restaurant in SF and honestly the best pizza place I've personally ever had. The beer selection is great too and one of the only places with a good amount of sours!”
“Good service. Good food. I had a trio vegetarian plate. They don't have many vegetarian options but this was good. Prices very reasonable. Looks a little downtrodden but this didn't affect the food or service.Vegetarian options: Good but very limited vegetarian options.”

Ox & Tiger
“Super cute experience! Only seven seats in this little gem. The two chefs prep the four course meal in front of you and tell little stories about the food as you eat! Culinary storytelling at its best! The Kobe tartar was definitely the highlight -- lots of love is going into these dishes and the menu changes regularly. The price point surely makes it accessible and will keep us coming back for more! Don't forget to ask about the eclectic ice cream flavours that this team curates - ours was porcini mushroom for dessert and it was surprisingly addictive! Kudos to the team for an awesome experience!”

“It is always interesting to sit at the Chef's Counter as a couple (more than two and conversation is challenged). We love watching the prep stations and how the food is prepared and plated. The service was attentive and the food excellent. Starting with the "breaking bread" is a must. We will be back.”
“There aren't a lot of Filipino food restaurants in sf let alone kamayan style! This is a cash only restaurant. Came here for my birthday on a weekday early lunch. No frills, very homey style Filipino restaurant with an awesome selection of Filipino food. Many of my friends first time going there. Reasonably priced and delicious! Service was amazing. They accommodated for about 14 people and although we were waiting for a couple more people to arrive the person working said he'd start working on the kamayan ASAP so we wouldn't wait too long. I believe the two people working this day was a couple and perhaps the owners. They were very nice to us and seemed just as excited for my friends to try our food too and even explained what sauces went with which portion of the kamayan. They do give plates with Banana leaves and utensils can be used upon request but kamayan is meant to be eaten with your hands. Overall it was a very fun experience and I'd seriously consider coming again! I know my friends truly enjoyed this experience too. Crowd favorites (not pictured) lechon kawalli, lumpia, shrimp and their panict”

InoVino
“This place is an absolute neighborhood gem!The only reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it is inconsistent during Happy Hour.In late July, I went with two friends and had the best dry sparkling rose and spritz - appetizers were all wonderful.Today, the sparkling rose on the happy hour menu was $12. I really don't mind paying more because "it's organic and bio-dynamic", but I felt I was drinking a grapefuit juice. The crostini with burrata were not good because the burrata was cold and not at ambiant temperature. I think the staff was not the same as usual and the overall menu was completely off. It's such a great place... I hope it comes back to where it was back during the Summer.”

Lokma
“I went there because it was recommended to me by a Turkish friend. All the dishes were delicious, but my favorite was the short ribs. It's juicy, tender, and has the perfect amount of aromatic spices. It's always popular and crowded, so we recommend making reservations. The atmosphere inside the store is homey, and the staff is very friendly. This is a restaurant where you can fully enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and a stylish atmosphere. Since I went there for dinner, I would definitely like to try their popular brunch next time.”

bar iris
“I had an enchanting evening at Bar Iris, where the cozy and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a memorable experience. The attentive waiter staff added to the overall enjoyment. Although we missed out on snacks, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the exquisite cocktails.I indulged in two rounds of the LEVEL UP! drink, a delightful blend of strawberry juice, pandan, rhubarb, awayuki gin, lemon, egg whites, and the flavorful combination of shichimi powder, which truly enhanced the overall flavor profile. Its smooth not spirit forward which, I truly enjoyed.Additionally, my friend ordered the SORRY, NOT SORRY with a whiskey base, compliments the creative craftsmanship of the cocktails. The creativity and balance of flavors in both cocktails were truly exceptional. Looking forward to returning for a more comprehensive tasting experience, including the tempting snacks we missed out on.I’m back for the holiday drinks and have this "PUMPKABOO" is a warm, comforting cocktail with Kabocha's “Japanese Pumpkin” sweet richness, Pandan's fragrant sweetness, and Oolong's complexity. Iwai 45 whisky and Mugi Hokka shochu provide a spirited kick and depth. Gran Classico adds balanced bitterness, while milk contributes creaminess. Topped with a marshmallow garnish, it's a cozy, indulgent richness. I enjoyed the unique blend of flavors!Cheers to Bar Iris for an evening well-spent!”

“This is a local favorite, as witnessed by how busy and friendly the staff is to patrons they recognize. This place is a sit down cafe/dinner, where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. After our very early and long flight, we decided to try their breakfast. “Having just arrived in the city, my friend and I were in search of a hefty meal -- fit for two starving children (we're adults). After some arduous googling and thorough research and broken ferry ride -- we arrived, up the stairs into the nook of this restaurant. We ordered the half and half broth, but admittedly wish we had just ordered the non-spicy broth as the spicy broth was just too much and too sour for our taste. But overall, we enjoyed our experience! The meat tasted well and as did the other fresh veggies we had ordered. But what surprisingly elevated this experience was the dessert and drinks. The best advice I can offer in regards to dessert is "Save the best for last." The sweet egg custard buns were an absolute delight. Especially when fresh, the warm custard just sweetly coats your tongue and leaves you satisfied with your meal. After hesitating as to whether or not I should order coconut juice, I finally committed and will admit it just may be one of the best decisions I've made in this lifetime. The coconut was as fresh as it comes, giving me a refreshing and vaguely sweet recovery from the warm broth. At the end of the night I found myself cleaning out its flesh because I found it a waste.”

“The elderly women are great services and awesome food. They're honest workers. January 4th, I ordered food 'to go' and in hurry, I signed receipt paper, didn't have time to write tip and total(I left it blank) to go back to work. The Spanish register guy asked me if I want my receipt, I said no because I paid my total. Suddenly, I get charged for tip after I left the store. That's dishonest cashier! He could have ask me that i am getting charge for tip-avoid drama. I only make 19$perhr. I am not rich! I do give tip when I have extra$. When I don't. I am on budget!”

You can get a cauliflower steak for lunch or a chicken salad that is essentially butter lettuce and half a chicken breast. It all tastes great but it just isn't very interesting.”
“Another great find whilst in San Fran. Beautiful restaurant with an elite menu of everything you would expect from a downtown bar and grill. Top notch service and steaks were superb. Special mention to the Lobster Ravioli! ??”

“Amazing food! Amazing service! Enjoyable time. Got free desserts for birthday, it was too good we forgot the pictures for dessert. But overall, everything was expected. Plus the bay bridge view was amazing :)”
“Happy hour here is amazing I’m addicted ….! Our waiter (think his name is Mike k maybe ??) he made our whole night he was so nice to us and we left so stuffed and happy I need to recover … till next time!!”
“We like to come to Earl's before the Mirvish show. Certainly the brunch menu is very good. Eggs are a fair value. Prices, generally are a little high. (especially for a veggie burger). Staff are friendly and professional. Although the left side we go in, tables are bar height tables and not as comfortable; I prefer the right side at a comfortable booth table. The right side of Earl's where the lower tables are, was more convenient for those of us who are still trying to distance from crowds or crowded spaces for covid/RSV etc. reasons.”
“We had our wedding luncheon here and it was perfect. We rented the Billiards Room and it was intimate and quiet enough to where all our guests (10) could converse. The food was awesome- best burger I’ve ever had, seriously- and the service was spectacular. Also very reasonable pricing. I can’t recommend enough!!! Also- try the Banoffee Tart. So yummy!Dietary restrictions: Very attentive and knowledgeable with dietary restrictions- my mom is GF/ dairy free, and several of our guests had severe nut allergies.”
“Loved this place only came here for the dollar oysters but unfortunately they got rid of them and now are priced at $1.50 . Food here was great to try always loved the oysters so if money isn't an issue than spend that $36 on two dozen oysters. Once again sadden that the dollar oysters are off the menu and will now need to find a new place that has the dollar oyster gem. Service if you look like you can afford this place is good but if you don't look like you belong service is a bit slow. Loved the view from the outside seats.”
“I have been eating here now for near 30 years. It's the best steakhouse in San Francisco. You get your steak n prim rib the way you want every time. Best formal drinks. They serve my favorite bread from Acme Bakery in Berkeley. Staff tend to remember you and give you the best service in the City. Getting too old to go there too often now, but Worth every penny when I go.”
New Restaurants
“One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've ever had. Not only was the food widely varied and incredibly interesting - the chefs and staff were awesome and so much fun to banter with. It's well worth the visit.”
“Soooo good. We got the chow mein, jhol momos, chili momos and paneer makhani. The favorite was prob the paneer makhani - the flavors are really rich and sweet. There's def a lot of sodium in the chili and chow mein si but the flavors are quite fragrant and strong.”
“Very cool ambiance! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was really flavorful! Only a few cons- the music was a bit loud so sometimes it felt like shouting to have a conversation and it was a bit surprising to only get one taco per serving for the price - but it was a very good taco (the saffron chicken).”
“Holy cannoli! Came here twice in a week because it's that good. First time we dined in and had table service for three of us. The staff immediately greeted us with recommendations of the menu for food and drink. We started off with some cocktails- the Stemware at Dolores Martini, and a new addition which was basically a white Negroni. They were delish. For starters we ordered the focaccia bread and the fried mozzarella Carozza with a house made marinara. Both were an amazing way to start a meal. We shared the Bolognese and Gnocchi Carbonara with duck. Both packed with flavor. The Bologense tasted like I was at someone's house in Italy. We ended with the pistachio cannolis. The mascarpone was so soft and it wasn't too sweet. A perfect balance. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. The second time we came we sat at the bar. It was a cool vibe to chat with the bartenders and watch the warriors game. The.l bar program should not be overlooked. We ordered the Lost Boy and the C is for Cookie. Both were delicious. I've never had a Manhattan with anise and Prosecco, but it worked. We again got the focaccia, this time with whipped ricotta and mortadella. It was amazing. We also used the bread to dip in the leftover sauce of the chilled artichoke. We shared the fried chicken and polenta as our entree. The polenta might be the best I ever had. The chicken was awesome, too. Perfectly crispy and juicy, and smothered with Calabrian chilis. Great flavor, not too spicy. We ended with that tiramisu, and once again might be the best I've had. The cake was moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'll be back until I go through the whole menu. I'm looking forward to seeing this place evolves a great addition to the neighborhood!”
“We had the pan-seared scallops and the Tagletelle special dish: tagletelle, snap pea segments, mushrooms, smoked prosciutto and a light cream sauce. And the Tiramisu for dessert. All were superb! And the service was impeccable. Highly recommend.”
“I'm from out of town and have had curry pizza from many different restaurants. This place is hands down my favorite! They don't go cheap on the toppings and meat, I received the Tikka curry pizza!”
“We stopped in at almost closing for a quick late dinner. Everyone from the hostess to the management/ owners were very pleasant and happy to make the best out of our experience. We sat at the bar and Sasha was our bartender. He was amazing! Educated us on some great infused vodkas and told us about the herbal berries he used. The food was fantastic. Presentation was beautiful as well as the space. We will definitely be back…”
“Dined here on a wednesday with a partynof three. The location of the restaurant was a bit sketchy within the tenderloin... for a restaurant which had great ambience and lively energy for customer service. The pros were the Crab Miso Risotto (Must Try!!) and the Bulgogi Tter Tots, in my opinion they were the star of the night. We also ordered the Wagyu Kimchi fried rice but it was extremely hot to the point where we could not finish it. The corn cheese was a bit disappointing, it just needed a tad bit more salt plus I like mine with a bit more chart and melt. The portions for the dishes were small for the price but everything is made to prep. All in all, not a bad place and I think they're pretty new. I would check them out again!”
“Loved loved their food! I am a huge fan of northern indian cuisine and theirs is so tasty, no skimping on spices or flavor. We had veggie biryani, salmon tikka, kashmiri chicken, navaratna korma, papadum, and GF naan. We had 3 people eating and took home a lot of leftovers.Heads up the wait time for food can be a little long because this place is IN DEMAND, but so worth it!Dietary restrictions: Great with accommodating gluten allergies! Offered to prepare pakora ahead of time in separate oil for us if we gave them a 25 min heads up. They also have delicious gluten free naan, which is such a treat.”
“Love the flavor of spice! It's hard to find authentic Yunnan food here so im so happy I tried this place. Food came quickly and the workers were warm and attentive. Would come back!”
“When I visit Thai restaurants, I always get the same things - pad thai, green curry, and pad see ew. Oraan Thai Eatery offers Northern Thai specialty dishes that definitely broadened my horizons in terms of thai food! I'll list some of my favorites below (: *Pineapple Soda Such a refreshing drink that I don't mind having 10 of. It's not too sweet and has a subtle creaminess to it that left me wanting more! *Thai Iced Tea This isn't your average drink - they actually use 3 different types of thai tea to make this. I could definitely taste the difference and recommend this to all thai tea lovers. *Gai Manow This is fried chicken with their house made lemon cream sauce with crispy Chinese broccoli. Honestly this was my favorite dish. The minced chicken was light and crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The sauce gave it a nice creamy flavor and I can't wait to be back to order this again. *Sukho Thai Noodle If you're looking for flavor bomb, this dish is for you! This is thai rice noodle topped with roasted pork, crispy pork slices, green beans, peanuts, and chili lime fish sauce. The broth is SO flavorful and good this was the other favorite dish of mine (:”
“Everything tasted great. Kara age chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. Paired well with draft beers. May be the AC a bit strong the skews were not enough temperature. Only the chicken heart skew had a bit more temperature since it was delivered to our table right away. It would be a five star if skews were hotter. Staff was friendly and clean modern interior.”
“Wow! So impressed by this sweet hidden gem. Delicious, fresh, authentic Persian and afghani food, wonderful service and kind owners and staff, and clean peaceful atmosphere. And great price. Highly ”
“Luisa opened her second restaurant in the city, and it is a gem for the city. Her kind soul reflects on how carefully she runs the restaurant, how fresh her food is, and how perfect the wine is.”
