“Rich Table delivered a fantastic dining experience with my family. The dishes were innovative and delicious, making it a memorable meal for everyone. Highly recommend!”
“Dim sum style New American dishes are simply fabulous. We ordered 10 (out of 14) and enjoyed all of them. The two main courses were also excellent. Service was efficient & engaging at the same time. A bit noisy, and not the most comfortable seating for more than 4.”
“everything about the restaurant, from the heated outdoor dining, people who work there, the food so deliciously great especially the one that prepares and cook it, THE CHEFS, amazingly incredible they are and not so pricey above all.”
“Aye aye, mateys! The Progress is quite the culinary treasure chest! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was stepping into a gourmet wonderland—shiny, modern, and just fancy enough to make a sponge feel special! The whole place has that perfect blend of swanky and cozy, like a kelp garden under a full moon!
Now, let’s talk about the grub! The dishes are served family-style, which is perfect for sharing with your best buddies (or a starfish who just can’t make up his mind). The grilled octopus was tender and tasty—like a hug from a jellyfish, but in a good way! And that roasted duck? Quack-tastic! Full of flavor and crispy in all the right places!
The service was as friendly as a sea cucumber at a conga line—super helpful and full of great suggestions. The drinks? Well, let’s just say they’d make even Squidward smile!
Only giving four stars because a few dishes could’ve used a bit more zing, and the portions were a bit smaller than a sea squirrel's acorn stash. But overall, The Progress is definitely worth diving into for a fin-tastic night out! I’ll be back for sure, and I’ll bring Patrick next time!
Anchors aweigh, foodies!”

“I've had the good fortune of experiencing The Napper Tandy both as a patron as well as a music performer. As a patron, I can tell you that the food here is the BEST pub food you will ever find (I particularly recommend the reuben - the best I've ever had, hands down!)! As a performer, the staff as well as the crowd have always been extremely friendly, accommodating, and inviting. There's just something about the vibe of this place that seems to make people happy! The managers, Marissa and Nicola, are are absolute gems of human beings and their staff reflect their personal awesomeness! I'm looking forward to my next meal as well as my next show at The Napper Tandy. Hope to see ya there!”
“Lily and her family make a great team. Very friendly bar, with good service and generous measures of drinks at very reasonable prices. Luckily we were staying just down Post so it quickly became our go-to bar during our short stay in SF. Lovely chicken wings too. Thanks for a great time. And a lovely fluffy cat to boot !!”
“It’s a great place to meet friends for fun food and have a glass of wine… it has a cozy interior or you can sit out on Dolores sidewalk and enjoy the lovely neighborhood. The owner and his wife make make you feel relaxed and welcome. It’s also a great date spot and the tables are set up for comfort or intimacy if you prefer- it also offers food to go! Most people who try it want to return!”
“The place is nice and clean. Sadly ? they don't take cash. ? You only pay with card. Funny thing is that they do take cash tips. What an oxy moron ? concept. I thought the establishment couldn't accept cash. So maybe their tips should also be electronically. ????”
“WOW. The Brazilian tacos have a distinct taste that will blow your mind. The salsa is tangy and crisp but definitely not too spicy. Almost a fruity flavor but not overwhelmingly so. In my opinion the steak taco I tried is one of the best, if not THE best in San Francisco.”
“What an amazing culinary experience! We had a three course meal. The waiter was very helpful, friendly and had great recommendations! I highly recommend this place if you're in San Francisco!”
“Holy Schnike!!! The food is incredibly delicious, the non-seafood versions I am getting are the most amazing tastes. The Wines paired with the dishes are inspired and spot on.”
“What a great place to come and enjoy some authentic cuisine! The service was really great one of the co-owners even came up and checked on our food and service and talked a little bit about the history of the restaurant and the chef who is the other co-owner who came from the region of the food! They also offer Mexican wines, which is a rarity and there are some really good ones! They also have tequila!!”

“Came here with some coworkers for a team bonding dinner and it was fantastic--definitely didn't expect to love Liholiho as much as I did. Their cocktail selection was great and it seemed that they had their own takes on just about any kind of drink you'd normally get.
It's best to order family style so you can have everything/as much as possible. The highlights for us were the fried chicken (the cornbread was the real dark horse), fried rice (homemade spam is so good), duck mousse on banana bread, chips and dip, mom's butter mochi (kind of reminds me of filipino cassava cake) and the baked hawaii.
The ambiance is nice but definitely loud as it's always packed so don't come here thinking you're in for a quiet romantic night. That said, the lively atmosphere and sharing plates really make it perfect for a group!”

“Biggest yummiest kale salad and fries of anywhere. Surprisingly the best value of a pile of veggies anywhere in the city, so five stars for that!
Very loud indoors and not very conducive for deeper conversations.
Hip clientele, people be looking young fresh and peak of health.”
“Hit up Liguria on my way to work on a weekday morning. It was super fast and fresh. Loved the bread. Next time I'll buy their dough for making pizzas at home. I'm sure it'll be amazing.”

“Cotogna is amazing! They were so accommodating and the outdoor seating is lovely. They have blankets which were appreciated on a windy day. I had the corn triangoli that just tasted like summer. The squash blossom pizza was so fresh and salty, the thin crust was amazing. I loved everything! Fair warning though, you’ll be spending a pretty penny here. Definitely a place to celebrate the special occasions.”
“Food was very tasty and well prepared, staff attentive and responsive, ambience is perfect”
“Came here for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday and mine also. I had not been here since they had remodeled the restaurant years ago. We had an amazing meal! Ordered several starters, based on the recommendations of our server. We started with the delicious Little Gem Salad, then mostly chose from the “Smaller” items on the menu. We ordered the eggplant, mussels, kefta, broccolini, and the amazing cornbread with harissa butter. My friend and I thought this was the best cornbread we've ever had! We were so full and couldn't even order dessert, but they brought out candles and two just baked chocolate chip cookies. Only could eat one and took the other one home. We are definitely coming back to try the main entrees. Highly recommend this place!!!”
Outdoor Dining
“The most delicious tacos in the world! I hate cilantro and avocado, but thanks to the food I ate here, I realized for the first time that avocado and cilantro could be delicious. The spacing between seats is not wide and it has a friendly atmosphere with many locals, so I recommend it to those who eat and wake up quickly.”
“Always a solid spot for good food, very much a place to take a date! Outside seating can be a tiny bit rougher at night when it's windy/cold, but otherwise, just an all-around solid spot!
Vegetarian options: Good selection of at least 2 pizzas that are vegetarian. And it's not your typical veggie special, they pair good flavors.”

“Fantastic experience. Food was so delicious and unique. The kitchen here is killing it. Really enjoyed every dish. Loved the atmosphere. Beautiful contrasting colors throughout and great playlist with lots of classic soul and Motown. Service was also excellent. An incredible way to spend my birthday, and they went over the top for it. Among my very favorite restaurant experiences.”
“The wait staff was great and the food was good. However, I made reservations for my husband and I and guests from out of town. When I arrived and looked at their menu I noticed the prices were much higher than indicated on Opendoor. I had to apologize to friends. Crab Sando was listed on line as $25 and at restaurant was $36.50 for lunch!! Other dishes were higher as well. I feel this was shady and bad business!”
“I have been twice and so far everything has been delicious. I need to go back a few more times to try everything on the menu. Don't forget to save room for dessert. The cocktails are fantastic.”
“Sat at counter and Gary was awesome! Always fun watching a pro work and the service was top notch! Standouts were the Hokkaido uni (twice!) and toro done wimpy but perfect and all the small touches on the other nigiri definite showed care and respect. Finishing with a5 waygu with shaved cold foie gras wasnt shabby either. The $209 was definitely to much food and I passed on the miso soup which wife said was a little sweet (I got a bonus Santa Barbara uni as a bonus!).”
“One of the best tasting pizza I’ve tasted I highly recommend this place.”
“My only complaint about Zazie is I wish it was much closer to me.
I've really enjoyed their brunch and felt it was worth the inevitable wait for a table each time. They're quite a popular bistro in the neighborhood and do a good job with each of their menu offerings but I recommend their egg creations for brunch (they have a variety of poached eggs (e.g. Benedict) options with their delicious lemon Hollandaise, for example).
Whether you sit inside the cozy interior or outside on the patio, service is professional and attentive.

“Outstanding food and service. This was our first time to the new place since the former HK Lounge II on Geary had burned down. The food is even better. Easily the best Chinese food in San Francisco. Will definitely be back!!”

“My friend, Mike, who lives nearby with his wife, raved about it so much that my BF and I decided to come after a short trip to Marin. It was everything that he described and more. It was fantastic! Excellent food and atmosphere. Will definitely add to my list of favorites and will recommend to my Palo Alto friends!”
“One of the best soul food ever. Their grits and collard greens are the best”

“A must place to check out. It's Omakase not advertised whole in the hole amazing sushi place. Fish are fresh and flavorful, you get to taste different fusion like Indian, Korea, Alaska, Baja, Mondecino and Japan flavors. So diverse, so amazing!!
You have a choice to seat in bar or table!!”
“Truly for "Friends Only!" Ten seats at an "L"-shaped raw bar. Got to chat and share experiences with all the guests AND the staff. Made a lot of "Friends" tonight and got to share dining at its finest and food of superior quality and taste!”

“Stevie guided us through a sensual experience of flavor and texture. I went without expectation and each course was an exploration of ingredients I had never come across. We trusted the staff to guide us through wine pairings, we tried three separate wines and each one complimenting the dishes exquisitely. I will no doubt be back to see what this amazing team brings to the table!!Thank you!”
“Wow, Buddy is truly such a gem. If you ever want a delicious meal full of flavors and textures, you gotta go to Buddy!
We sat outside to enjoy the warm San Francisco weather. It was right on the sidewalk with no parklet, but it was fine.
Here’s what we ordered:
- Corn Fritters - pretty tasty, great crunch, while still moist. Pretty corny-tasting, but well-balanced with the creme fraiche and the saltiness of the smoked trout roe.
- Carrots - wonderful crunch and even more delicious seeds and tahini sauce. A must have!
- Smoked whitefish tonnato - strange flavors and texture at first, but it grew on me. Not sure if the crackers added much, but the dish by itself was a fun combo!
- Fried chicken sammy - perfect crunch (sensing a theme?) and wonderful flavor. The bread was buttery and garlicky, and the chicken was moist.
Our waitperson was super attentive and our food was perfectly spaced out time-wise - we had a small table, and they brought out just enough food at any one time to make sure we had room to eat. IMO, deserving of a Michelin!”
“This place has been a city favorite for so long and I'm so excited that it survived through the chaos to still be here! Returned recently with some friends. I really appreciated the laid back atmosphere where we didn't ever feel rushed and the staff was so attentive. The home baked bread that you can actually buy and take home is still worth the trip alone. Loved the burrata that comes with flamed grapes and more yummy bread. The halibut was very exciting! I need to come back here more often.”
“Beautifully presented and delicious food with a menu that changes seasonally. Service was great. We shared 2 appetizers (the shrimp and the olives dishes were terrific)and the very large quail salad. and noticed that these all came with 3 items (3 shrimp, 3 quail and 3 olives with rice crackers). The eggplant stir fry was awesome. Also enjoyed the beef cheek curry and purple rice. Nice selection of beer and wine. And the smoked coconut vanilla ice cream is a standout. Will return when the menu changes after the summer.”
“Arrived here a bit after the lunch hour and it was fairly quiet with only a few other customers. Ordered the Combo#2 (butter chicken) on their lunch special. It was very tasty! Everything tasted great, if anything it did not need the cucumber and carrot added in the side/salad(?). Otherwise great place to come and have a good meal!”
“A great way to experience a four course meal at an affordable price, with delicious food. We will definitely be back.”

“I loved working with Elizabetta for my birthday cake. She was super easy to communicate with and perfectly nailed my barbie cake fantasy complete with a quote from the movie. The cake itself was a work of art but the taste, omg, all my friends were floored. I've also been able to find her slices at Falletti Foods and love all the flavors. I do, however, go crazy for her basque cheesecake. I could have a whole one in one sitting. So luscious, creamy and delicious!”
“The ladies behind the counter are fast and accurate. They are no nonsense employees and won't hesitate to bark at you if your acting out of line.
Best time to go is around 2-3am just because it seems I usually catch a fresh batch being laid out of warm moist doughnut. Absolutely heavenly!!!
The atmosphere has improved lately every since the open air drug market was shut down that ran along the outside sidewalk at night. Daytime visits are fine with nothing to worry about.”
“Imagine bowling and then you walk straight into Krispy chicken heaven. Expect nothing but the best chicken experience of your life. Ask for extra mayo from their secret menu!”
“Beautiful place, seems its closed for now but I would recommend others to visit when they see it open, the cocktails are great and I loved the design of the interiors. Also, staff was very friendly when I was there.”
“This is the best spot in sf between midnight and 5. Give James and Gus and may and tony and Ming a raise already. The best place on the Main Street of the best city at night.”
“I ordered a matcha drink and it came out great! I was pleasantly surprised. You could taste the matcha, it has a sweetness too, not overly sweet nor is it bitter from the matcha. I got the iced version.
HOW TO ORDER:
Ordering from here is a confusing process for sure.
1. Place the order, it’ll start grabbing a cup and filling it with your drink. It will then set it on a counter in front of you.
2. Next it’ll place the drink in front of you, it’ll be out of reach.
3. PAY ATTENTION. It’ll seem like it’s dancing or waving at you, this arm is trying to communicate, it isn’t trying to be cute.
4. There are three tablets below, it waved in the left direction for me to look at the screen below. I’m not sure if it does for the right, but I don’t think it does for the middle one. NEXT STEP IS IMPORTANT.
4. The screen will present a question and you need to answer before it proceeds, otherwise it won’t. This is where people are getting stuck and are not receiving their drink. I stood there for a solid two minutes until I realized it kept waving in the same direction.
I’m guessing it’ll throw your drink away if you wait too long.
Good luck!”
“Best staff at any JIB! They greeted me as I entered, they were courteous, fast and efficient . I have new weekly appointment in that neighborhood; so I will most likely be stopping by to get my Chocolate Shake fix!”
“Ramen Home kit. A5 Wagyu, Black Garlic so good”
“Fast service but wasn’t much customer at the first it always slow down”
“I liked the burger and the good thing is that they speak Spanish in the store. But it is more expensive than at In and Out in Los Angeles, 17 dollars minimum for a combo per person. They have the option of unlimited drinks.”

Takeout Restaurants
“We love this place so much that one of the tables at our wedding was called Cellarmaker. Their beer is great, and their pizza is fantastic. Love how the menu is always evolving and that they use seasonal ingredients. The pepperoni pizza is a stable, and then we try any seasonal pizza that’s on the menu. It’s fun to dine in or we will pick up pizza (probably too often!). The supermarket by us has started to carry their beer which is also great!”
“absolutely delicious absolutely delicious delicious New pizzeria I love it clean the crust is excellent”
“Great tasty stop at the end of the day. Love the friendly staff”
“Impressive high end omakase spot in the financial district. I went there for a birthday dinner and it really hit the spot. The interior is defined by clean lines and beautiful rugs, and service was friendly and top notch. The sushi was delicious and fresh, prepared with modern touches: a brush of sauce here, some blow torching, or surrounded by light fragrant smoke. The flash fried lobster claw, deconstructed ciopinno, toro milk toast, sea bream nigiri and variety of uni were highlights for me. There was plenty of food but I wasn’t overly stuffed at the end. Well worth a try for a work expense dinner or special date. Parking is pretty limited in the area.”
“Always love The Morris. Awesome food and wine selection. Specials like cassoulet will make you renew your gym membership. Very deep wine list, and chartreuse options in case you need a tipple or celebrate your final moments on this Earth.”
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.”
“I am visiting San Francisco from Denver and I was looking for an amazing lobster roll, and I found it at Luke’s Lobster. The roll had nice big chunks of lobster meat on it and the bread was delicious, toasted and buttery. The clam chowder was meaty and flavorful and the lobster bisque had good sized chunks of lobster, was creamy and so tasty. This was an easy 5/5.”
“Tommy's has the most amazing food and family friendly atmosphere. Not to mention the BEST margaritas around town. Stop by and visit this amazing place”
“Excellent food and service. My friends from NYC enjoyed their dinners as well. Will definitely be back!”
“Lovely friendly Italian wine bar and delicious restaurant. Fresh innovative salads, pastas and main courses. Highly recommended.”
“Biggest yummiest kale salad and fries of anywhere. Surprisingly the best value of a pile of veggies anywhere in the city, so five stars for that!
Very loud indoors and not very conducive for deeper conversations.
Hip clientele, people be looking young fresh and peak of health.”
“I have been here for dinner and bagels. Both were great experiences. Can't go wrong with pizza and wine! Service is good too. Came here with one other person and wait about 10ish minutes for a seat at the bar.
The bagels were hot and came as is. I ended up getting three bagels with scallion cream cheese. It was a bit sweet which surprised me but overall happy with everything. The people who work there are very friendly too!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“We had the most delicious meal at Gola. Every single dish was a feast to the eye as well a tickle our taste buds. The sauces were all very different in every dish, beautifully balanced with Tunisian spices. As a main, I would recommend the lamb tajine, the chicken tajine and the stuffed eggplant if you’re vegetarian or not. For appetizers, the scallops in turmeric sauce were delicious as well as the Kromb (cabbage) and of course, the Brika. Service was very quick and very kind. This might become our regular restaurant in the mission. It felt like a one night trip to Tunisia. Thanks Chef.”
“Like a brewery mixed with an arcade. The place is very cool. The service was also attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming and open. I’d be a regular here if I lived in SF. Above average beers.”
“Whether it's the pizza (they have a brick oven), the galettes (savory crêpes), the burgers, or the shawarma (Middle Eastern burritos) everything is on point.
Great value too.
Can only recommend !”
“I was on vacation in San Francisco & my cousin recommended Kates Kitchen. We had breakfast there & the food was very tasty. I highly recommend stopping by Kate's for a bite to eat if you are in the area.”
“This place gave us that feel good feeling like we were eating homecooked meals. I wasn't a fan of the potstickers but my gf really enjoyed it. The fried chicken wings were surprisingly good and the texture was simply nostalgic. The soup dumplings were a bit off for us though. The pork filling all had the same smooth consistency and the flavors weren't there. Not much to say about the chow fun other than being sad it didn't come with any protein.”
“Their braised duck wide egg noodle (mi vit tim) is one of my favorite dishes in all of San Francisco. The Vietnamese iced coffee and soy milk are also not to be missed.”
“We were greeted so warmly and treated with great class. The meals were delicious, as was the salad, wine, and appetizer. We came here for the first time in December and loved returning this week. Looking forward to the next time.”
“The staff was sweet and friendly, but I'm not a fast-food person, but now I tried it.”
“Fabulous food and the staff are really lovely, defo worth a visit xx”
“Very authentic Thai food. Casual environment. Love their dessert and the shrimp paste fried rice.”
“Sam from TUNISIA was the man
He was handling the place like a PRO*
Morning shift... . smile on his face.. amazing music ??...
We need Sam back”
“The ingredients, the flavors, they're all top-notch.”
“Everything we ordered was good. In fact we couldn’t eat it all. Your pizza was so delish! Never had chow fun wrapped up in little rolls but it was pretty good. Your shaking beef salad was good too. Definitely a dining experience in Asian fusion!”
Fine Dining
“They offer two tasting menus the seasonal 8 course and then the 5 course. We did the 5 course menu and it was the perfect amount of food. Also did the drink pairing which was on point and balanced each dish incredibly well.
The food was delicious and the flavors were creative, bright, and true Cali farm to table.
Did two add-ons, the oysters (bright, creative, delicious) and the duck ?
It was a 2 hour experience that breezed by, not too slow and not rushed.
The ambiance was great! Open kitchen, not too much seating, felt intimate. The two person tables are laid out the way all 2 person tables should be, back to back not side by side.
Service was top notch as you’d expect. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Will definitely go back, a new fave in SF.”
“Love atmosphere, food, service and interior decor here. They offee killing milk dinner roll similar to lazy bear and you can refill! $87 for 5 couse pre fix menu in the city. Small portion but right perfect amount of food for me. Tender pork and yummy dessert. They got it all covered!”
“I have stayed over 3 weeks in Japan in different 3 cities trying multiple restaurants and have had my share of Omakases in SF. So trust me when I say this, Sushi Hakko is a HIDDEN UNDERRATED GEM! Both non-sushi courses and the sushis in the Omakase are amazing. Chef is friendly and the service is easily on par with Michelin star restaurants.
I liked the Omakase so much that I was back in Sushi Hakko for their ala carte menu 10 days later.
Try their Bar Omakase you won’t regret it. You can also go ala carte and select your own nigiris and courses (do not miss out on Miso Black Cod or Amberjack Tartare) - you won’t regret that either”
“Food were elegantly seasoned and service was warm but not uptight! Just perfect!”
“Fantastic food and a great menu with something for every foodie”
“The restaurant has such a welcoming atmosphere, it's like dining in your own home. The generous spacing between tables provides a sense of privacy. The chef's innovative fusion of Korean and French flavors is truly impressive, creating a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. This is a place I'll be returning to again and again!”
“What an incredible experience dining at Sons and Daughters. The restaurant reminded me of traveling and dining in Europe with its big bay windows and intimate seating. The service was outstanding and personal. I absolutely loved when the chef told us his mother had made the beautiful ceramic we were dining with. The food was top notch, sustainably sourced, and every dish was so aesthetically beautiful and composed. My personal favorites were the Barley koji with goat’s curd and calendula flowers, as well as the Cured trout from Mt. Lassen. This meal was an exceptional experience of surprises journeying through the different flavors and presentations. I had such a delightful and memorable time.”
“Incredible food, great date night spot. They were very accommodating to my dairy allergy which isn’t easy for an Italian place and the food was phenomenal despite the restrictions. Lots of natural wines which they walk you through. I also got the squid ink pasta, and I normally don’t like squid ink but gosh this was amazing. Portions weren’t too big for me, but by no means too small. The food is quite rich and very creative! It’s not too loud but loud enough to have privacy. The pistachio tanette was my favourite!
Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy, had plenty of options”
“I cannot say I had a bad experience. Everything was my favorite”
“Fantastic food and a great menu with something for every foodie”

“I have never been inside for a drink , but I absolutely love their choice of music which is piped into the parklet ; they play songs by Natural Milk Hotel, and The Sundays; and for this I thank them. I shall visit soon.I am also impressed with murals on their parklet.”
