“Such an easy 5/5. One of the tastiest and most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in SF. The price is very reasonable for the experience you get. The chefs are incredibly kind and shared their stories about the food. I can’t wait to go back.“

“I've been going here for a really long time. Tess KNOWS how to cook authentic Filipino, None of this asian fusion nonsense. Her Beef Nilaga reminds me of home. Boneless daing na bangus - I can't live without. Her smile always welcomes and her food always satisfies. I'm too full to partake of the kakanin but it looks legit.KNT is an SF institution.“

“I was very excited to eat Filipino food again for the first time in years after I stopped eating meat. ✨ This location was very clean, there's standing coubterop seating inside and plenty of patio seating in the back. During dinner rush, I've seen a line even during weekdays. ⚡ The staff is friendly and the food was ready quickly. ? Got the Señor Sisig Bowl with tofu, medium spicy, and it was OK. The flavor overall was sweet, not savory enough, missing acidity to brighten it up. I don't like sweet chili sauce and it tasted and looked like the tofu was marinated in it. The garlic rice wasn't garlicy. The medium spice level was nice, not too spicy for a whole meal. I'd try the vegan chicken next time. ? Pretty good value, ~$14 + tax“

“There aren't a lot of Filipino food restaurants in sf let alone kamayan style! This is a cash only restaurant. Came here for my birthday on a weekday early lunch. No frills, very homey style Filipino restaurant with an awesome selection of Filipino food. Many of my friends first time going there. Reasonably priced and delicious! Service was amazing. They accommodated for about 14 people and although we were waiting for a couple more people to arrive the person working said he'd start working on the kamayan ASAP so we wouldn't wait too long. I believe the two people working this day was a couple and perhaps the owners. They were very nice to us and seemed just as excited for my friends to try our food too and even explained what sauces went with which portion of the kamayan. They do give plates with Banana leaves and utensils can be used upon request but kamayan is meant to be eaten with your hands. Overall it was a very fun experience and I'd seriously consider coming again! I know my friends truly enjoyed this experience too. Crowd favorites (not pictured) lechon kawalli, lumpia, shrimp and their panict“

“The pancakes and chicken waffles are expertly prepared, arriving fresh and hot. Upon discovering this spot, I noticed the lengthy queue, so you know it’s good and worth the wait. Arriving before the noon rush ensured a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, clearly passionate about their craft. The flavors were delightfully infectious, and the sauces were generously portioned. The wings were perfectly crispy without being greasy. Coming back with friends.“

“The fried pork chops (center) are delicious and a great value. The sarangani (left), a smoked fish fillet, was a great surprise. The meat was moist and tender with a smoky flavor. The tuyosilong (right), whole dried fish the size of sardines, might be too much asian flavor if not accustomed to dried seafood. I would definitely come back for breakfast/lunch. BTW, the leftovers are delicious if reheated in an air fryer.“

“I only wish any of my uncles or titos could cook like this.Maybe an auntie or a tita could, but I dare not say anything bad about their cooking. Ever. Seriously. For those who know, you know.Back to this spot :Lechon is the best I've had in a while. Crispy morsels of pork belly that have that perfect balance of meat, crunch, and rendered fat. Portions are suppose to be more than bite size but it was so good, there's no way you don't eat it whole.Wings are ok. Sauced nicely but the breading is a little heavy. What really caught my attention was the all purpose sauce. To me, it's like a creamy adobo sauce and is crazy delicious. And all purpose doesn't nearly begin to describe what this sauce can be used for. To date, I have yet to find something it doesn't make taste better.Service, for the time being anyway, is pretty good considering it's a shared space.Lastly, the ambiance is at times a sports bar with all the tvs at times but then looks like (from a ton of IG pics) a karaoke party. Either way, fun.Anyways, I look forward to their new location.“

“Glad we walked all the way to the end of the terminal to try Mama Go's Filipino Cuisine because it was delicious. They had a line but it moved relatively quick and we weren't in a rush. Service is so kind and generous. It gave off a homey vibe and they had some authentic class Filipino dishes which is a plus. Price was on the higher side but it is the airport. The garlic rice was fantastic and went well with the chicken adobo. The entree also came with a side dish, which is a great selection.“

“We happened to come by and meet a friend which highly recommended this restaurant. We found out they have been here for a very long time. Lots of patrons, multi-ethnic people, usually mostly Filipinos or other cultures that are married to Filipino origin come and eat at Filipino eateries. Impressed, authentic Pampanga/kapampangan(culinary capital) food. We will deifintely be coming back.“

Baby's Eatery & Palabok Filipino • $
4609 Mission St, San Francisco

“Incredibly authentic Filipino hole-in-the-wall doling out a wide variety of ready-to-go stews and crispy fried specialties (e.g whole fish)Very reasonably priced, generously portioned lunch platters with choice of carbohydrate and two entrees. Highlights include:(i) chicken or pork adobo,(ii) ginataang kalabasa (pumpkin coconut milk curry with fresh veg and seafood), and(iii) lumpia rolled fresh by the house matriarch on-site.Glass-noodle pancit, while tasty, is more of a personal preference choice. An excellent option for Filipino in the Outer Mission/Excelsior — with a very strong, no-frills, friendly vibe from the islands.“
