“The food here is amazing. You definitely get more than your money's worth. The owner is also very kind and the cook does an amazing job. Its definitely a must try. I love the inviting atmosphere. I always get the fried chicken, the pansit and the lumpia. They have their own special recipe that can't be duplicated. If I could give a thousand stars I would. This family owned restaurant is definitely a staple in the community.“

“Yay Wendell is back!!! Wendell was the previous owner of the Depot Café. She makes a tocino breakfast with garlic rice and eggs that is fantastic and my go-to. I’ve never had a bad meal there and I ate there probably three days a week while she owned it. I was so disappointed when she sold to that other fella and he pretty much destroyed the restaurant with his food…(it was awful). It was not good and he was not very clean. Counters were dirty, stuff like that. The one thing I can say about having Wendell back is the depot café is being run clean again. You can tell that cleanliness is next to godliness when it comes to Wendell because it’s noticeably cleaner. I stopped coming after my last food experience here, and it wasn’t until I noticed Wendell moving back in that I came back. I ride the train every day, so having my favorite restaurant cafe back to its good food, great conversation is the upgrade that this place needed. I am so happy to be able to come back to the Depot café again! Welcome back Wendell! Those of us that ride the train all the time couldn’t be happier about it.“

“My favorite Filipino food spot in the Bay Area! The food here tastes like home. The food is always good whatever you order, and the prices are a great value. I always try to come here regularly.
Just know that the inside seating is very limited and there are not that many tables. So, it's sometimes hard to get seating during busy hours. However, the food is prepared fairly quickly and table turn over is fast.“

“Nice place to eat. Most of the food was pretty good. I might be a little critical on this, because my wife cooks awesome Filipino food, although I do recommend coming to this restaurant.
Good atmosphere, and great service.
Prices are reasonable, and a nice menu selection.
We were here for lunch. Lots of free parking.
Kyle's chicken wings were very good, in fact I ordered an extra order to take home. I also bought some Oxtail Kare-Kare to take home, which turned out to be pretty good.
As I said, earlier, I do recommend this restaurant. I will be back.“

“We definitely recommend Timog Restaurant! Laid back atmosphere and nice ambiance. We had their squid appetizer, bangus sisig, fried lumpia, grilled bangus, kare2 volcano and the humongous todo na halo2. The servings were generous and the staff were Uber friendly. Had a wonderful time! A must visit and will be back to try out their other food. Panalo baby! Taralets punta n rin kau! 😊👍🙌👏🍽️“

“I stop by after work yesterday to get the tiramisu cake for my mother-in-law. Each of us had a slice of it after the homemade hot pot dinner. We were all quite amazed about the texture and the taste. Beyond our expectation! I have to say personally I like it better than 85 °C’s version (or other competitors bakery) especially with the $31.99 price. The guy helped with my pick up was nice, I was in and out for 5 minutes. He gave me 3 packs of different color candles although we didn’t ended up using those. Their paper plates quality are not that good, very thin made. I would suggest just ask for utensils for your cake order. Might go with a different flavor next time for my husband and my daughter’s birthdays in September. :)“

“The kare kare and pork barbecue is good but the Leche flan are not tasty“
“Da Good Vibes offers a delicious fusion of Filipino, American, and Hawaiian dishes. When they replaced the old restaurant, I honestly thought I was going to miss the previous menu, especially the mochiko chicken, which was the old spot’s specialty. I remember hoping the new restaurant would have great food too, but oh my gosh, they exceeded my expectations from day one.
I’ve been a loyal fan ever since. I’ve tried most of their menu, and their roasted beef is my absolute favorite. It’s incredibly delicious, although it’s only offered for a limited time. The chicken adobo and guava-glazed pork are close runners-up, and the chili rice is just as flavorful. The staff is so warm and welcoming that I already feel like family whenever I visit. Kudos to the chef!“

“First time coming to PhilHouse and first time authentic Filipino food. 27 years of visiting America and never once enjoyed the delights of Filipino food. that's why I enjoy bite after bite while looking for similarities with Indonesian food where I come from, the taste is similar. I have to admit that Filipino food is delicious, according to my taste as an Asian. I will come back to PhilHouse when I visit San Francisco. God bless PhilHouse“

“Great atmosphere, lovely variety of people. Filipinos behind the cash registers are very helpful, informative and positive energy. I highly recommend coming just for the food court. I wasn't even aware it was a grocery store till my bf mentioned it. Lol. All the hot food and restaurants threw me off. We came from Modesto and there's no places like this there for good Filipino food. So we are very pleased to be here and get to eat all types of Filipino food. We hit up the Jollibees in here and it was great.“

“Baked goodies from our childhood memories of Philippines are available freshly baked here: pandesal, puto bungbong, puto, siopao, kutsinta, turon, leche flan, bibingka, palitaw, etcetera. It's small, but stocked well, and sometimes lineups happen inside. Simplicity in tradition continues in 'Pinay' tastes and is easily bought, thanks to Valerio's.
Vegetarian options: Most baked goods here have no animal flesh.“

“It’s a hole in a wall. I ordered the adobo pusit, bansilog, sinigang broth and tocilog on two different occasions. None took away my breath. They were mediocre. The same as the surrounding Filipino restaurants. However, the owners’ friendliness and genuineness were apparent. Both sisters on two separate occasions, stopped at my table and engaged in a warm conversation, making me feel like a beloved family. I felt like I was being served at Nobu. I asked if they had coffee and she said she can make me one, which was not part of the menu, plus it was’t included on the final check. The black pipping hot coffee was in a paper dixie cup, but tasted better than coffee in Brazil. This personalized and attentive service ensured a positive experience, despite the food.
Overall, this hole in the wall offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly owners. The food might not be the primary draw, but it’s a great choice if seeking a comfortable spot with excellent customer interactaction.“
