“I love Outerlands, it's a beautiful, small and cozy space and at dinner time it is lit just right. We were a large group seated by the window, and the service was truly impeccable. The String Theory & River Crossing cocktails are two of the best drinks I've ever had, anywhere. They make that aperitivo rossa themselves, OMG. Balanced perfection and, oh, just SO GOOD! Outstanding mixology. The starters were great (esp the kohlrabi salad--GET IT!), but a bunch of us had the chicken as our main and it was sadly disappointing. It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. Your customers are loyal and we love you and want you to succeed. BTW, great date night ambiance!“

“Garden Creamery offers some unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though! There's almost always a line snaking outside the shop, and it can take 10-15 minutes to get your hands on a scoop (or two). The indoor seating is also very limited, so be prepared to enjoy your ice cream on the go or find a spot on a nearby bench.Despite the wait, the staff at Garden Creamery is fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and happy to answer your questions about their ever-rotating selection of exotic flavors. Here's where Garden Creamery truly shines. If you're looking for something beyond vanilla and chocolate, this is the place. They offer a wide range of options, including vegan choices, that incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients. For my visit, I tried the Calamansi Creamsicle (vegan) - a delightful tart and creamy coconut dream featuring a Philippine lemon. The Ken's Korner (Oahu) was another winner, combining Hawaiian vanilla ice cream with a sweet and savory hit of Ken's horner Hing Mui Sauce and passion fruit preserves. They also have more adventurous flavors like durian, hojicha (roasted green tea), Thai tea, and even black sesame. If you don't mind the wait and the limited seating space and you are looking for a truly unique and flavorful ice cream experience, then Garden Creamery is the place. Just be prepared to be patient and adventurous! 4 stars for the delicious and creative flavors and the friendly staff.“

Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. Overall, absolutely love this place and would highly suggest to any ice cream enjoyer.“

“The entire evening was perfect - the service, excellent; the explanations of each course was right on; the food, outstanding; the wine list, perfect. In other words, it was an excellent experience. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the birthday special - from a hand written birthday card to a surprise additional birthday sweet with candle at the end. In addition the staff was very careful to meet our dietary restrictions. I cannot state more than this: it was noteworthy and will return.“

“This is my favorite place for a nice dinner in the Castro. The cozy upstairs location feels miles away from the craziness down on 18th Street. I love the interesting cocktail specials, the pasta dishes, and the tiramisu for dessert. We had an especially nice meal there for Thanksgiving.“

“I came here on a Tuesday night when the restaurant opened at 5. I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant filled up quickly at 6 and there is not a lot of tables. Very nice interior with Thai music playing in the background. My partner and I got the chef selection set. I think this is the most worth because it offers a lot of variety with meats, seafood, and vegetables. Everything was fresh and I especially loved the meats because it was so tender! The sauces they offered took the food to another level. You should absolutely try all of them; my favorite was the tamarind sauce. Highly recommend ordering the garlic fried rice as your side too. Since it is hotpot and bbq, the waitress recommended us that we cook the meat over the charcoal and the veggies be cooked in the broth. However, I thought cooking some of the meats in the broth made it more flavorful. The broth is a light pork based broth. Overall a delicious and unique experience because this is my first time trying Thai bbq/hotpot. Service was terrific as well!“

“Went back today and all I can say is that it’s better than last time! You gotta try the Porchetta nachos - they are “hella” tasty! I had the shrimp po’ boy and loved it. Ask for extra sauce on the side if you want it New Orleans style. Fantastic! We also got two Reuben’s and let Johnny customize them for us. And the chicken sandwich! Ah, a delight.I had doubts about the margarita but that seemed to disappear very quickly.I’d share a picture but we ate it all so fast.“

I tried the cream danish and literally its a amazing and melts in your mouth. The taro crepe cake and the strawberry one are amazing!! The crepe cakes are a little bit expensive $12 each bit worth it. The drinks are big and good price. The ambience is nice and relaxing. The place is small and parking not very available.“

“The flat white was quite good, and best of all, it didn't burn my mouth when I first took a sip. That's how you know your barista is great! I also got the banana bread, which was delicious, as well. All around worth the trip and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. The only thing is I wish the chairs looked a little comfier and I might be more inclined to stick around and enjoy my coffee.“

“The first thing I gotta start with is the guy behind the cash register. He was super cool & a down to earth guy super chill, his name is Grant! Felt like I’ve known him my whole life, he even gave me a free dark chocolate cookie even b4 I ordered something! When u walk into this place u feel like your at home don’t get me started with the old school Donkey Kong & Mrs. PAC Man arcades they have inside, plus u can play them for free! How cool is that! I ordered the “Ham a good day” breakfast sandwich:scrambled eggs, smokey mountain ham, cheese, hot sauce, on a sourdough English muffin. Loved it! Highly recommend! I thought it was gonna be a small English breakfast sandwich , I was wrong! This thing feels u up! Can’t wait to come back & try the rest of the Menu! Guess I finally found my favorite place to go in the Richmond District plus its near my home! & i gotta go back & play does arcades! That’s my childhood right there! Two thumbs way up! Gotta support local businesses in these difficult times were living!“

“Love what Phillipe and Helen have built over the last 28 years - a great bistro with top-notch food, wine and service. Low key, within a classic tradition of excellence, Chapeau! is a gem. A must try, which leads to adoption as a fav. Sweetbreads, cod, beef filet - all superbly prepared and presented. Deserts are something else. The “pain perdu” (French toast) was a find - must confess I would not have chosen it, but its accompanying hazelnut sauce was the perfect complement for this French classic. Love this bistro.“

“Beer: Excellent beers in the “light & easy drinking” category. I had a 5oz of the Italian Pilsner, West coast Pilsner, and Cherry sour. All three were excellent beers. Beers are available in 16oz, 12oz, and 5oz pours.Ambiance: multiple TV’s with the warriors game and other local sports were on. Great side patio for the dogs. Plenty of room for about 12 other patrons to spread out.Service: the Beer-tender Jay was amazing. He explained which beers were available and grabbed water bowls for our dogs. He was a class act and yet another reason why we will be back soon to try all of the beers.“
