“Cute spot for a first date. Solid food, great staff and a mind numbing amount of beers on tap. The staff playlists are definitive deep cuts and current favorites.“
“This place is the best! Keeps it simple: Pastrami sandos and a few other items; all done well; always ready when you get there to pick it up.
Folks who work there are super friendly. Couldn't ask for a better sandwich shop. Plus they're open early so you can grab and go on the way to work. Dad's Mustard is my choice, but no choice is wrong at this spot.“

“Located on the Bay Street Plaza in Emeryville, on the second floor next to Barnes and Nobles. Saucy Asian is a Korean fusion restaurant. It’s a trendy place and is pretty busy all the way to closing time. We came in today after shopping at the new Tokyo Central across the street for a late dinner. We ordered at 7:58pm and did not receive our food until 8:26pm which was quite long wait for what we ordered. There is some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating.
As for food we ordered:
- Saucy Asian Bowl
- Saucy Asian Fries
- Island Style Poke Bowl (combo: half tuna/half Salmon)
All the food were good, have no complaints, but have had better elsewhere. Overall, if we’re in the mood for their food, we would come back.“

“Supporting local business in Emeryville. Note that this place is on Christie opposite to FedEx, not inside the public market.
The noodles, while not the best pho in the bay area, they are decent. Both noodles they served came with delicious broth. Unlike many pho places, these didn't leave you with a dry mouth. Wish their beef can be softer and more tendered - that's the only (but critical) place to lose shine. You know - always room for improvement. Can't wait to come back and try their banh mi.“

“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

“Across the board brilliance! From stepping in the door... the lovely woman who was happy to seat us (even tho we had no reservations) to the professional and courteous wait staff (we weren't straight forward and she was so gracious) -- very down home feel--- food was fab. Can't wait to go back!“

“This place is a gem if you’re looking for big, satisfying comfort food. The sandwiches and burgers are HUGE—definitely come hungry or plan to take some home. The portions alone make it worth it.
The gator tots were a standout—super crispy and packed with flavor. You can tell it’s a well-loved local spot with a laid-back vibe.
It’s also conveniently located near public transportation, which makes it really easy to swing by. Overall, a great go-to spot when you want something hearty and delicious!“
“Really yummy, good portions that justify the price, and great variety of Japanese dishes. Also a good selections of add ones for most dishes and al la carte options. Not a lot of restaurants like this anymore and hope this place sticks around in Public Market. I highly suggest the Katsu Chicken Curry Udon w/Sunny Up egg. I think it’s one of the better value dishes.“
“This spot is definitely your old school neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other. I was there for a bday celebration.... it was cool for a random eveing. They had kareoke and one pool table. Cocktails seemed to ok for the crowd; no quality wine selections for me so it was a dry night. Overall the music made it was enjoyable.“
