“Amazing place, a bit unexpected when you drive by. Ihad great moments and made best friends. Cocktails are best in region! Try!”
“Just amazing. Pop-up street food doesn’t get better than this.”
“The BEST soul food ive had since moving to The Bay Area. EVERY other place ive tried has been horrible, for real. So, when Kecia asked when i was coming i was very skeptical.
They absolutely crushed it! We had smothered porkchops, greens, and mac n cheese and Fish n Grits. Very well seasoned, greens were cooked like back home (Texas), mac n cheese was hot and cheesy, good cornbread, creamy and savory grits.
Oh and the drinks! Great selection!
Please understand when they name a drink BeastMode, there's meaning! ?”
“Fun time, course was very primitive compared to other modern day putt putts. But is that really the point. Great place to have a team event and to have everyone interacting”

“We had the chicken biriyani and litti chokha. Its really good. They are very close to the authentic taste. The chicken biriyani here is lucknow style which is a bit rare to find in the east bay. Irrespective of that detail, the biriyani is really amazing.
Portions and service, really good.
p.s: if you get a patio seat on a sunny day, you get a nice view of the bay and the Golden Gate bridge.”
“The server was really nice but tables were really sticky, bathroom was dirty and they were sadly out of everything on tap, I had to get a bottled beer, they were also out of the bottled beer I chose, so I had to change that too. Probably won't be going back to Hidden Spot/Hometown Heroes.”
“great service and hospitality love there food will always come back .”

“What a great surprise. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We look forward to trying the rest of the menu. I highly recommend the Loco Moco.”

“5 stars. Amazing food from the lentil soup to dessert. Highly recommend.”

“One of our favorite places to grab coffee and a bite! The staff is really friendly and the cafe itself is cozy and comfortable. It's spacious and there's plenty of parking across the street, sound the corner, and they have 15 minute parking out front. Highly recommend the white chocolate mocha and chicken El Fuego sandwich!”
“I finally got to try the dishes here and I am not disappointed.
I got the soup and it was just right amount of jalapeños for the spice. I lobe the simplistic it had, but it was still tasty ?
I also tried the island poke dish and it was very delicious as well.
I like how you have options for the rice or a salad base, or both.
Very flavorful and right amount of sauces.
I am looking forward to trying more dishes as time goes by.”
“This place is awesome. Super friendly staff and the food is absolutely great. The pizza is delicious and they even have an espresso bar! Definitely a spot every East bay native needs to come try!”
“OMG! This cookie shop recently opened in Fairfield! These are the most disrespectful, amazing, and addictive cookies I have ever eaten! The Butter Pecan Cookie will make you hurt someone. Run and get some cookies! These cookies make no sense!”
“great service and hospitality love there food will always come back .”
“Been ordering from Jungdon for a while now and figured it's time for a review. I always order one of their Deluxe sets - Anshim is my go to and Deungshim is 2nd fav since I like my katsu a bit chewy. Tried the chicken and cheese katsu too but they're just ok imo.
~$30 a set sounds high at first but I can easily have it over 2-3 meals, which is awesome.
Flavor is also consistent - Always love how the potato salad, cabbage slaw, sauces and katsu come together! Miso soup is a great addition too given East Bay is quite often a bit cold.”
“a little expensive for hot pot- but the nice new restaurant feel and the quality of food makes up for it. The meat lover combo for $65 was plenty for two people. Service would really only show up when you placed a new order, and it was a little weird not to receive spoons or bowls (there is a separate self-serve counter for this and sauces) but besides that they were fine. Only rank atmosphere low due to a large amount of families with loud kids wandering the restaurant... cest la vie.”
Outdoor Dining
“Just amazing. Pop-up street food doesn’t get better than this.”
“Very cool atmosphere but took almost an hour to get our drinks .”
“Best diner food in the East Bay. Live music on second Friday of the month 6 to 8:30pm.”
“The mushroom tofu spring rolls are something worth writing about! They're quite flavorful, yummy, and light. It's a perfect on-the-go meal, and such a reasonable price. And the service was great! I'll be back to try their other vegetarian options.”
“I recently discovered how much I love Empanadas within the last few years, so I was really stoked when they opened this location. They used to partner with another bakery next-door to the Y in downtown Oakland, so it was really nice to see this spot close by. The chicken empanadas are always my go to, but the Fugazzeta (cheese and onion ) has grown to be my favorite item on the menu! the staff are very friendly and help you figure out what’s for you if you’ve never been or are undecided on what to get. ( and if you have a sweet tooth, they tend to have Alfajores & sweet Empanadas sale as well! )Only downside is that there isn’t much indoor seating which could be a problem if it’s colder out, but this is minor in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you want some good authentic Argentinian food.
Vegetarian options: they offer great options for both meat, lovers and vegetarians!”
“This is now a wonderful Mexican cafe. I had the best Chilaquiles ever here (and I’ve had a bunch of Chilaquiles!).
Nice service. Great pour over coffee. Highly recommend!!”
“Our first visit but absolutely not our last! What delicious flavors! Everyone loved their desserts, the toppings are incredible (vegan hot fudge, vegan caramel, toasted almonds,) and we all left full and happy! Definitely stop in when you’re in the neighborhood!”
“Excellent food and customer service from the staff and owners Dave and Carol. Best red chicken curry and chili!”
“Exhausted from our family hike, we turned to Google for sustenance. This charming restaurant welcomed us warmly, quickly seating us and thoughtfully switching the channel to a children's program.
Our server was kind and attentive. The food arrived promptly, and my wife was particularly pleased with her gluten-free bánh mì sandwich. Our children, with gusto, consumed their chicken tenders, wings, and fries. We'll be back.”
“The atmosphere is amazing. It's a combination of cozy and white table cloth.
Just enough menu selections to have something for everyone . Not sure about a kids menu, I didn't see one.
Meatballs and pasta were very good. Nice wine selection as well as a healthy selection of bourbon and other spirits.
Great place for a date night or watching a game. They had a TV at the bar with a game in when we were there.”
“Great place for multiple kinds of food. But the Peruvian chicken is amazing!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, Paleo
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes”

“Nice cool new space with inside and outside seating and...wait for it...GREAT BEER. The brewer knows what he's doing and everything is served properly. And it's not just (outstanding) IPA. He digs lagers too (Helles, Czech pils etc) and they're great too. So GO HERE if you like GOOD BEER SERVED PROPERLY with CLEAN LINES at the CORRECT TEMPERATURE using the CORRECT GLASSWARE.”

“With the Mandatory Shelter in Place, I wanted to make sure that EVERYONE knew that Summer Summer Thai Eatery is still OPEN for take out or delivery. This is our (my boyfriend and I) FAVORITE place to go to, usually for dine in, and we’re doing everything we can to help small businesses stay afloat during these unprecedented times. Give them a call or order on Caviar or Door Dash for Take Out ONLY. Pictures from our take out dinner tonight - Summer Summer Rolls, Albacore Carpacio, Mild Drunken Noodle and Crab Rangoon. Its just the 2 of us and we have leftovers.”
“I recently dined at Cassave Restaurant, a charming hole-in-the-wall Mexican eatery in Emeryville. Despite its small size, it seems to be a popular spot for take-out comfort food.
I tried the fish tacos and pupusas. The fish tacos were excellent, with fresh fish and ingredients that really stood out. The pupusas were authentically made, though I would have preferred a bit more stuffing. The zucchini pupusa was particularly flavorful compared to the plain cheese ones.
The service was quick, and the owners were extremely friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. The only downside was the lack of spicier sauces, which I didn’t ask for but would have preferred.
Overall, I would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.”
“Such a great time, delicious food and very friendly and professional service. Guilherme was super nice and prompt to ask and bring the cuts we like the most. Definitely coming back in the near future.”
“Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty cool. Lots of pool tables and open space with plenty of seating. The drinks were OK, but the food was really good. I didn’t go prior to the remodeling, so I can’t really compare how it was then to how it is now. I still would suggest this spot if you want a fun place to hang out on a Friday night!”
“Had a large order, and it was pretty tasty. Service was complicated because of Uber and lack of understanding if there was outage or something else.. had to cancel, reorder, etc. inside is small, but could be a vibe. Owner willing to work to make it happen for customers!”
“Get dim sum location with a view!
Came for a friend's birthday and got sad seating with a view for all of us.
Prices are fair. Got lots of shrimp dumplings, duck, a few veggies dishes and black sesame balls.
Food comes out fast, and servers are quick but not super attentive.
Besides hot sauce and soy sauce I do wish there was other condiments, but didn't stop us from chowing down.”
“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.”

“Great atmosphere. Every second Friday is awesome cuz a local band always comes to town. Never disappoints.”

“Excellent food! Even so good that we went back the next night for more!
We ordered brisket, hot links, ribs, and
potato salad the first night. All super good. Great flavor! Mild bbq sauce is really good. The next night we went back for brisket, chicken and Mac-n-cheese. Oh, and the cornbread is yummy!”
“The sandwiches here are AMAZING! The owner makes some of the best sandwiches I had in my life. When he asks if you want everything on it, he means EVERYTHING (pickles, onions, bell peppers, cheese, jalapenos, cucumbers, etc). He is also super sweet and always makes me feel welcomed! I highly recommend that if you are craving a sandwich, come here!!”

“lemon and chocolate chocolate chip are the bomb my 1st time. I will definitely be going again”
“Chinatown can be a daunting place to dine in San Francisco due to its vast authentic cuisine which is unlike anything outside of China itself. I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. I’m pretty sure that we created much amusement for the other diners who were rather interested in the ‘foreigners’ selections. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. Highly recommended.”
“The pedant behind the counter took it upon himself to tell me that I was not allowed to park in the designated bike parking because he was forced to put a table in front of the bike rack placed there specifically for the purpose of locking up bikes. He proceeded to tell me that we had to move our bikes so we went out and moved our bikes to another bike rack nearby. In the process of moving our bikes, he continued to harangue me and my husband as we complied with his request. I did my best to ignore him and turn my back on him but he just continued harassing me. It was a very unfortunate experience, but certainly should not deter you from visiting this Pete's coffee. The rest of the staff is quite wonderful and the food is good and the coffee is terrific.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to navigate inside the shop, it's very large and can accommodate wheeled conveyances however it does not have a door that opens automatically. So you have to wait for somebody to come and help you. And in order to use the corridor to get into the attached mall area, you'll again have to wait for someone to open the door because there's no automatic door there either”
“I am a religious advocate of the Valencia location, so my first visit to this one was held with high expectations. I learned that each location is different and prices differently. I typically love the city sourdough rounds, but at the time I went, they only had longer, narrower loaves that were a dollar more. I also got a cheese roll. The bread was good and the cheese roll was acceptable. I generally like to get chai and a slice, but neither of these options seemed appetizing at the time. I went later in the day and the lack of foot traffic didn't indicate that the pizza was very fresh. The staff was helpful, but it wasn't as welcoming of an experience as I get at my main location. My brief transaction got me what I needed with no frills. It's certainly not a place I would lounge and enjoy a quick bite at. However, the product was satisfactory. Hard to beat that Valencia energy!”
“Good coffees, responsive customer service, reasonable prices compared to most online coffee sellers”
“Really good sandwiches and surprisingly good selection of vegan meats. Even have dairy free cheese. Purple bread looks cool. They have parking at the leasing office of the nearby apartments”

“I was really impressed with Copper & Malt. The layout makes it very easy to find what you’re looking for and Ashley is very knowledgeable when it comes to wine. I recently tried an orange wine and was surprised how much I liked it considering I usually prefer red wine. I also tried a bit of sake. Since I don’t like the taste of alcohol, I was surprised how smooth cold sake is. I’m no longer turned off to sake and would recommend doing a sake tasting if you’re new to it like me.”

“this is my favorite corner store of all time. been coming here for like 10 years, never had a problem with anything, and chicken etc. is apparently available too, so that's a plus. support your local corner store!”

“WOW!!! First time eating Indonesian food and although I've had Thai, Laos, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Malaysian food numerous times, I was surprised how different & wonderful it was. Nice staff and very generous Big portion, but really it's all about the flavor, which was Awesome.”
“Incredible food! Great service. Chef Verna & team have outdone themselves. We need more Guyanese + Carribean representation in the Bay Area and Calypso Rose has set the bar extremely high”

“The Banks Club in Emeryville is the spot! Soul, funk tunes fill the air all day, and the DJ sets on weekends are just dope. Karaoke nights? Always a blast. They pour generously too. I've had countless great times here. It's like the Cheers of Emeryville - you're gonna love it. 100% recommend!”
“Healthy & freshly pressed juices, cold brew/nitro coffee, nut mylks & Super power elixirs!!”
“He's currently open summer hours, Monday thru Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Shortens hours and maybe closed Saturdays during winter when days are shorter. Friendly service, great dogs. ?? CASH ONLY.”
“Beth is a GENIUS! Our cake (Almond sponge with fresh summer berries) was simple and elegant but so freakin tasty. A highlight of our wedding that I did not expect <3”
“Consistent, kind, and delicious. Been working on the street they're parked on for a long while and the thing I'll miss most about this job ending is grabbing a top notch burrito whenever I want.Only recently tried a breakfast burrito and it was so good.Currently eating a carne asada burrito with just beans and salsa and I could not be happier.Support these good folks!”
“Pleasant experience. Our first time to the restaurant and our first time in the area and Portia was great. Very friendly and pleasant customer service! And excellent food. Great spot to eat if you’re hungry. They give hearty portions.”
“Damn, the best of the best tbh. Tops in n out, habit, five guys, even easy street out in LA. So much flavor I got a double with an egg added and my goodness the meat is smashed and super juicy. I got garlic fries on the side and it was a heavenly meal. I will definitely be back, this was my first time.”

“Saw the comment about a mouse and believe me theh went inspected we got 94 out of 100. some of my coworkers may be rude even i myself when a bad custumer just passed honestly try to hige the best service i can with whag i have inside which alot of times we are missing tons of things and its not our fault. Seen genuine similes of costumers. if you bring a pet trough the drive trough you have more preference for a better service since it makes me happy seeing the pets.”
“What a great surprise. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We look forward to trying the rest of the menu. I highly recommend the Loco Moco.”

“Went to just grab a quick bite to eat, Chicfila is EXTREMELY meticulous about whom they hire and the process they go through, so service is always 5 Stars no matter what BUT the pricing is getting out of control. $6+ for a Chicfila DELUXE, JUST THE SANDWICH? Aside from that, no notes. Fast service, food is quality, amazing customer service.”

“We ordered on a tablet and received a text message when the food was ready. We sat outside to eat and the food was great. I ordered the black truffle fries, chicken burger and a peach strawberry tea.”
