“I ordered takeout khao man gai and mango sticky rice and it was delicious! The sauces that go with the khao man gai were so falvorful and added so much depth to the dish. The mango sticky rice was also super good. The coconut sauce was sweet with a hint of saltiness to balance out the dish, and although mangos are not in season right now, the mangoes were still sweet. I would come back here and order something else on the menu because I would want to try what else they have :)“

Only issue is the location. This area is just getting worse and worse. We try not to come here after dark and always make sure to park right in front of the restaurant.

“My boyfriend and I came in for the first time on a Thursday night around 9pm for dinner and I can honestly say that after trying a lot of the Thai food in Berkeley / Albany / El Cerrito area, this place is the best! We got the Thai tea, coconut lemongrass soup with chicken and tofu, and the pad see ew with chicken. Everything was perfectly made with great, fresh flavor, and not oily or anything like that. Also Bua herself was there to serve us and she was so hospitable and welcoming. And lastly the interior decor is super cute!! We are definitely coming back again.“

“This palce is a certain of community and history on Bernal Heights. Old friends come in to greetings of hugs and kisses from the staff. New patrons are welcomed in almost equal fashion! The eggplant dish really good! It was perfectly spice I love it! My boyfriend had a wonton soup and we shared an appetizer shrimp everything was excellent! Will definitely come back!

“Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“I enjoyed the concept with a bento box prix fix concept from a selection of different set options. I chose the fish and shrimp set and all the flavors were fantastic. I do think the pricing is a little on the expensive side for the portions and wished it would be just a tad larger. Great service, easy to access even without reservations on a Thursday night after work.“

“We got the green curry with beef instead of pork. It had broccoli, two squash pieces and a green chili in it. It was good. The sauce was on the thinner side and tasted nice. The meat was good.

My daughter spotted this restaurant and we are absolutely in love. Clean, comfortable eating area inside and outside. Variety on the menu and best Thai food we’ve eaten in a long time. Amazing flavors and portions are just right. And let’s not forget the Thai tea, best everrr! Seriously highly recommend for lunch and dinner if you are in the Oakland area.“

“My favorite Thai spot in SF! Everything I’ve tried has been excellent - I recommend the string bean chili stir fry, papaya salad, duck noodle soup, pad kee mao, chili cha cha spicy pan fried noodle, and the yellow curry. The staff is also very friendly and the prices are reasonable for SF.“

“Excellent all around. The food was outstanding… our family of three loved it (including our toddler!). We ordered the pad Thai with chicken, the BBQ pork with sticky rice, and the praram with chicken.

The place itself is adorable and so clean. It’s situated on the corner with lots of opportunity to people watch. 5/5 stars for ambience.

“As an Asian person - so good, tastes authentic! Drunken noodle with tofu is delicious and full flavor, tofu holds that flavor, very moist. Good spice, Asian scale, I got mild and it provides a nice but not overwhelming after flavor. 10 min takeout at less busy hour. Looked like a cute indoor sit down area though I did not choose that. $13 before tax + tip. Vegan.

“This is the best Thai reataurant!! My family and I have been going here for over 15 years. We refer to it as “good thai” to distinguish it from the other thai places around. The food is delicious and so flavorful. Our favorites are the yellow and green curries, pad see ew, and eggplant with tofu. Everything on the menu is delicious!“

We had a hard time deciding on what to try first (because everything sounded good and the smells from the kitchen were amazing). What we ordered: - Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Excellently flavors and just enough spice for me. My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. “What could be better on a rainy autumn day than a bowl of hot and sour soup with udon noodles, crispy pork and more? I loved this place. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was above and beyond attentive. I also loved all the healthy potted plants which gives the Noodle Lover Club a jungle vibe.“

“Such great food and people. We were hungry driving around looking for that magical parking spot next to an acceptable eating spot bingo! We found it all at Gai. Unsure of what kinda of cuisine I said take the chance they’ve got a chicken on the sign so it’s actually food. And boy was it good. Delicious. Freshly prepared Asian Thai or Vietnamese food. I got the Original Chicken Rice bowl with side of broccali. My friend got the salad with Tofu. Both great. He sauces are fresh and flavorful. One is quite hot which I love. I recommend it. And as we sat there from 1:30 pm to 2:30, there were multiple to go orders being picked up. I think there were about 5 orders at a time rotating. Fresh Fast Full of Flavor. We hit the jackpot!“
