The red duck curry was delicious with sticky rice. Coconut pad Thai was very satisfying and great portion. I saw lots of take out orders getting delivered every several minutes at dinner time. Glad to find out about this restaurant as it stays open till 10 pm. Easy parking in its own lot. I will come back to try other dishes.“
“This is my go to place in the neighborhood for good Thai food - it's fast, affordable, and delicious! The staff are super sweet and make sure you get exactly what you want. We've eaten here countless times, both in person and carry out - pictured is pad Thai and suki yaki soup, but our other favorites include Panang curry, avocado salad, Tom kha soup, and chicken satay. They also have great Thai tea that's not overly sweet. I'm honestly surprised by the negative reviews. I think some folks might not like it because it's not super Americanized versions of dishes and the interior is not the most glamorous. Don't let that dissuade you, this place and it's owners are great!!“
“First time diners. Loved the food, ambience and attitude. Was take-out but we wished we could have dined in. Such a sweet environment! But they also have a hidden menu with some really unique Thai dishes that I haven't seen very often here but had when I visited Thailand and this brought back tons of memories! For the 2 of us, we got the fresh raw shrimp appetizer, papaya salad with blue crab, crab omlette, and stir fried morning glory. All the dishes were yum, but the first 2 were quite spciy! It gave me the chance to try their Thai beef boat noodle soup. Omg it was perfect. The broth was a flavorful deep sweet soy sauce based broth with earthy spice undertones. The thinly sliced beef was tender. The noodles were al dente with a nice chew. Perfection in a bite. They had cute condiments but I didn't need to use anything. It was super tasty as it is. “This is a great value, and a relaxing dining experience tucked away in a dingy alley downtown. There are some a la carte appetizers, but dinner is prix fixe - a "set" that is centered around a protein (beef, chicken, fish, vegetarian) but comes with about 6-7 dishes total, including dessert. Regular set is $25; specials are $38. We ordered an appetizer to start, which was SO GOOD (brussell sprouts and pork belly), but there is so much food is in the set meal we were really stuffed. Good selection of nonalc bevvies, wines by the glass, but only one beer (Singha!). Room is really lovely oasis in an otherwise dingy alley downtown. Service was a little rushed - seems to be just their standard approach -- which is great if you are trying to get in an out but if you want to not feel pushed out suggest you be very clear about not wanting everything on top of each other, eg, they brought out our main set almost immediately after the appetizer, and the dessert while we were still eating dinner (?) - I actually told them to take the dessert back and serve after we were completely done with dinner.“

The problem I had was the vinegar spread into Pad Thai noodle and cut into the richness off the dish. I enjoyed the proportion of protein vs noodle and curry. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! I do miss the specials they used to have which were incredibly Thai. Daily menu’s favorite for me are THE rice ball salad, larva, pad de ew, drunken noodle and boat noodle. If you can at least tolerate a modest level of spice, then you're good to go. As others have mentioned they like to ask if you want duck instead of what kind of meat which I know can influence your decision. I already knew this before coming here so I was prepared.I ordered it with tofu because I just didn't want meat. The tofu was nicely prepared and not over cooked and tough like too many places make it. That ruins a dish for me. I will probably have meat next time since I do enjoy meat.It is a delicious balance of spice, richness from coconut milk/cream, the warmth of curries, lemongrass, lime... Oh just delightful. “We've been thinking about trying this restaurant for some time now, and I'm very glad we did. Our past Thai favorite, Champa Garden, seems to have gone downhill. Charm Thai Bistro, our new favorite, is much closer. We split an appetizer, the puff pastry turnovers, which we never had in Thailand. The waiter told us that they were street food. Whatever, they're delicious. Then we had a Pad Thai (very good) and a green curry. I thought it was perfect, but it was a little spicy for my husband, so if you prefer a milder spiced dish, tell the waiter. I can't wait to try their other curries and house specialties. I might even try the Black Sticky Rice Mango pudding, even though after having it in Thailand, it's always something of a disappointment in the U.S.“
