“Very clean and bright premises with a friendly, warm, and peaceful atmosphere. You can actually carry on a conversation with your party. It has a simple upfront menu. The food is always hot, and the portions sizeable. The pies are scrumptious and refreshing. There's complimentary hot tea, too.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a wheelchair. It's easy to get around in the bathroom and dining room. ?“
“I deeply appreciate the owners dedication to creating a wonderful experience for their customers. Last time we went to Everest Kitchen, we had a hiccup with our Togo order. After learning about this, the owners and staff were quick to resolve the issue! We're glad we got to give them another go because it was well worth it! My husband and I had the veggie korma, lamb curry, garlic naan, mango lassi, and samosas. The entrees were flavorful, and paired nicely with the garlic naan (of course!). The samosas are MUST try. Wow. They were phenomenal!! I love samosas already, but I find that some places tend to over bread them. These were perfect. These had a nice outer shell that wasn't too thick, so you really get to enjoy the flavors. I could have eaten the whole order to myself, they were that good! The sauces that accompany the samosas are also very tasty. 10/10. Lastly, the Mango Lassi was a great treat. It was the right level of sweetness for my husband and I. Overall, after our experience and interactions with the staff/owners, we will definitely be back and thinks it's worth giving a try for those looking for quality food/service.“
“Dining at Kathmandu Restaurant was a culinary experience I'll never forget. My meal, the Chicken Tikka, was a masterpiece of flavors, perfectly cooked and richly seasoned, making each bite a delight. Accompanied by their garlic naan, which was soft, buttery, and infused with just the right amount of garlic, it was a combination that I found myself savoring long after the meal had ended. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service, particularly from our server, Daniel. His friendliness and attentiveness were unmatched, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit. His recommendations were spot on, ensuring that our meal was not just food, but an experience to remember.Kathmandu Restaurant's commitment to authentic Nepalese cuisine, coupled with outstanding service, makes it a must-visit for anyone in Albany looking for an exceptional dining experience. It's not just about the delicious food, but the warm hospitality that makes you feel like part of the family. Five stars are well deserved for this gem of a restaurant.“
“AMAZING, fresh, yummy, terrific vibe, not loud. So much funWait staff are extremely attentive. Good spot for a date, solo at sushi bar or smallish 4-8 group dining. Steet parking or $20 for secure lot next door.Vegetarian options: Everything“
“We have been to the Tane in Hawaii, so we wanted to try this one out. Everything about it was great. The food was delicious, the service was great, the atmosphere and ambiance was phenomenal. We ordered Gyoza, brussel sprouts, ramen, nigiri, and 5 different rolls... everything was delicious. All the employees were so nice and attentive.“
“My partner and I love Humbowl! It's one of the few places around here where I can go out to eat and don't have to change anything on the menu to meet my dietary needs! We love that they use fresh and seasonal ingredients and that they're open later than other places (9 PM).“
“A charming little corner shop! I’d never had cashew-based ice cream before, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich, flavorful, and satisfyingly creamy. The guy at the counter was so accommodating with our group of 5, patiently letting us sample a wide range of the flavors.I was very pleased with my kid’s scoop of matcha! The matcha was fantastic - you could really taste the slightly bitter graininess of the matcha. As another option, you can also get a split scoop of two flavors with a single, which is pretty nice. The only slight downside was parking, though after some circling through neighborhood streets, we were able to find some street parking. I’m sold on cashew ice cream!“
“I eat everything and did not miss meat at all at this delicious restaurant. The food is as tasty as the pictures are beautiful. I can't recommend highly enough and can't wait to go back. I'm nearby now and only wish they were open for breakfast!“
“Great vegetarian food. Fast service, aQuiet, wonderful feel, and great customer service. Food is very tasty. I've gone a total of 5 times within the last 3 months. I do not eat out much. But when I do, I like authentic food that feels like home. Shangri-La Vegan On Linden marks the spot.“
“Not a 5 star decor but 5 star simple meal. No menu confusion since only serves one main dish of home cooked type food and a bowl of the most delicious pea soup. Service is quick and you can bus your table at the end of your meal. The food is inexpensive and remember without variety.“
“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. This is a great spot!!Vegetarian options: Tons of veg optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of veg optionsParking: Street parking and a lot both free!Kid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: A bit tight, but I believe it is Ada compliant“
“I first ate here in April of 2023. On that day they received a five-star review. Almost 1 year later, it's even better the second time. The Paneer Tikka Masala is the best I've ever had. It is seasoned to perfection. I order it mild but there is still a tiny tinge of spiciness just for flavor. The garlic cheese naan could not be more fresh. It too is cooked and seasoned to perfection.Service is outstanding. The restaurant is immaculately clean.Castro Indian Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area.“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“A super great spot for people watching on a warm day. So if the weather is nice grab an outside table on Union Street and keep the sunglasses on. ? The menu is 100% vegan and surprisingly delish. The Wildseed Burger, $18, was a little messy, but perfect n tasty (I'd order it again). The Neatball Masala bowl, $18, has Mediterranean n Middle Eastern over tones and is also delish. Take note, the Neatball Masala bowl is a kinda big, so there's a good chance you'll be taking some of it home in a doggy bag.“
“Really good matcha based drinks and speciality drinks. They make it in front of you and explain the process. The staff working there was very nice and gave great recommendations.Really enjoyed the rose matchacano which was recommended but a really good looking guy.Definitely worth the 90 min drive from Sac!“
“I took a lot of accidental live photos here, I would have preferred stagnant. I just wanted to capture one moment, I didn't need any of the moments leading up to that one moment. I'll smile for photos because I want to believe I'm happy in most moments of my life. Live photos are showing me that sometimes I look miserable right before smiling. Anyway, at least food doesn't change much with live photos. It looked and tasted great.“
“Amazing vegan spot! Everything was delicious. As an omnivore, I’m always on the lookout for plant based places that offer options everyone can be happy with. They were also great at checking for my allergens, even during a busy time. I ordered the smoked bbq sandwich and loved every bite. Their food is proof that this spot carefully selects their ingredients and doesn’t compromise on flavor. My vegan friend ordered the pyrgi and swapped the chicken for tofu. Our only regret is not trying the abundance of desserts they had out!“
“Vegan cuisine (non-religious)Ethiopian cuisine, very interesting to try. The menu has a large QR code on the transparent partition at the cashier counter, and you can see the picture by scanning it. If you have no clue, just choose the most popular area. In addition, they also have traditional staple dishes, which look like burritos but taste like cakes, and they also have rice options. The service is very homely and friendly, it looks like a three-generation family restaurant. The taste can also be adjusted, such as adding spiciness or if you don’t want onions. There are many street residents in this neighborhood, so the lights are a little dim at night. In addition, the sign at the entrance is not very obvious. Although it is a store with large floor-to-ceiling glass, it is easy to miss it at night, so open your Google Navigation.Oh, I forgot to mention: very delicious!Recommend you to give it a try!Paid parking is available on the street.Vegetarian options: Vegan (non-religious)Dietary restrictions: Ethiopian meals“
“Meet the restaurant of the future! Great vegan dishes, smart ordering system and fast and efficient kitchen. We were impressed. The restaurant is spacious, a lot of light, beautiful design and very clean. The hosts are very helpful. Most important: the food is delicious! Even if you are not a vegan, try it!Kids loved it too, they had the best hamburger ever (quote).Kid-friendliness: Healthy and tasty, great value for money“
“The best Vietnamese vegan restaurant outside of Vietnam. We ordered lemongrass deluxe and spicy noodle soup. They’re both soooo goooood! The owners are so kind and the place is spotless. What a great experience. We will definitely return.“
“This place feels like home. A place to get a filling, healthy, vegan gluten free meal. A place to have a deep conversation with friends and stay up late. A place to meet new friends. And this place has incredibly talented musicians. Definitely came for the food and got wowed by the music. I've been coming here for a decade but hadn't been in a while and I will be back.“
“This was my first visit and it did not disappoint. I loved the fact parking directions was included on the ordering site. The customer service was exceptional and with a smile. The veggie omelette flavorful and packed to maintain its warmth. I also tried the pumpkin cheesecake and it was delightful. I say it’s often hard to find excellent customer service and excellent food. The Happy Vegan has both.Dietary restrictions: VeganParking: It was easy to locate street parking“
“I got the taco plate and the food was so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend. I did have a lil trouble finding it, if you use google maps, it shows it is in the middle of pier 7 when in fact it is on the street by Pier 7. Will definitely be back, whenever I'm in San Fran. Thanks so much!“
“I like saucy pizza, which is why I like Heshers. We were first introduced to the pizza when we used to come to crooked city cider. Now heshers has taken over the whole building in a prime area of Jack London Square. We came at opening time, 12 PM on a rainy Saturday for a friends birthday. Because it is a rainy weekend we had to change our outdoor plans and this is a great location for a large group with dogs who can hang out indoors. Also great because you order at the counter and don't have to deal with a group check mess. We ordered our drinks at the counter, and some people who were able to try small tastings if they were unsure of what to order. Pizza was ordered at the window in the corner and brought out to us according to our numbers. The staff was accommodating to our large group, and we were the only ones there until a Meetup took over the other half of the restaurant with their boardgames. There are also tons of boardgames in the cabinet that you can play and pinball machines in their own separate area, along with the pool table. Great place to keep entertained while enjoying your pizza, beer, wine, cider, kombucha, or nonalcoholic beverage. There is a water station right behind the cashier. There are two unisex restrooms, straight back. They have the little locks that tell you if they are in use or vacant, which is very helpful. They also do some heavy metal concerts here, which my husband was very excited about when he saw the listings for them. While we were there, the music was not very loud so we were able to chat freely. There are metered parking, free parking streets, or it is a walk down from 12th St. BART. They used to have a free Broadway shuttle, I'm not sure if that's still exists Join their social media pages and you'll be informed of special events, concerts, trivia, bingo, and what not. Our vegan friend is very happy that they have a vegan pizza option here. There is something for everyone! You can help bus your tables by taking empty glasses to the front and the rest of the trash area. There are benches in the front that you can hang out at if it's a nice day out.“
“The Coconut Curry here is out of this world. The drinks are A+ with unbelievably great prices. The vibe inside; the colors, the music, the art, are all so inviting and warm. The menu has options for everyone ( stellar vegan options) and our server couldn’t have been better. Best Indian Food in the Bay“
“Great restaurant! Can't wait to go back! Took a vegetarian friend for her birthday and had a wonderful meal. we started with the Winter Chicory Salad and an order of the Petite Rye & Smetana Butter--the salad hit all the right notes with it's citrus-y dressing; the home-made rye bread was great (the smetana butter could have had a bit less salt...) Then we had the Crispy Zrazi--this wonderful potato/lentil dish stole the show! The Wild Mushroom Stroganoff was delicious (and so rich, I would suggest sharing...). Two baked rye doughnuts & caramel sauce were brought to the table with a birthday candle for dessert. Service was perfect--we enjoyed the entire experience. I can't wait to go back and try some of the non-vegetarian options--which i will have to have with the crispy zrazi. The brunch menu looks awesome, too.......“
“I'll start by saying that I really love NLB and NLC, the food is so dang good. I'm giving four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the extra ingredients added, it was a little plain and just a classic cluckwich. We didn't even have time to get a refund or anything.Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly.Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. I chose all fries, no slaw, and it might have been one of the largest sides of fries I've ever got at a restaurant.Vegetarian options: Fully vegan! Awesome!“
“Our experience here was amazing. Every individual food item was prepared perfectly and full of exquisite, complex flavor. The service and ambiance were also on point. Our servers were attentive and friendly. We sat at the patio which was more quiet and romantic than indoors. They provide heaters and although it was raining, the patio is sheltered so if anything the rain added to the romantic ambiance. We came on a Saturday evening for our anniversary. The last time we went here was when they were still located in San Francisco so it had been a while. This time we chose 3 items of the four course menu. We chose the pumpkin pakoras and carrots for the second round, the cauliflower and tempeh for the third and the orange blossom pistachio tart for the fourth. Everything was so amazing that it is difficult to point out any outstanding dish. I will say the Cauliflower was prepared in a way that challenges the imagination, it's this perfectly crunchy yet soft texture with excellent flavor. I had the "catharsis" cocktail which was fantastic as well. They were also very flexible with our reservation. We were able to switch a later time slot and from indoor to patio only a few hours ahead of time due to my partner having a lingering cough.Needless to say we highly recommend this place for special occasions, you will have a wonderful experience here.“
“One of my favorites in the Mission District, located at Harrison and 24th Street, is Healthyish Republic an explosion of flavors, textures, and delicious healthy style. When I arrived in San Francisco, I was super concerned about my food routine, and that's when I found them! Since then, they've become more than just my favorite spot; it's my second home. Perfect if you follow a Keto, Paleo, Mediterranean style diet, or simply if you appreciate quality food with top ingredients. Thanks for every experience, Healthyish family!“
“Nature is a wonderful vegetarian/vegan restaurant in downtown Oakland California. We have been a fan for several years. After closing indoor dining during pandemic, they are back open for indoor dining. They have always had the carry out option. We visited yesterday and had a great dining experience. We had ordered hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, spicy eggplant, chicken chow mein and spicy Thai fried rice in a clay pot. All dishes were excellent. The standouts were the sesame chicken and the soup. A friendly staff and a welcoming ambiance. Glad they are open again for indoor dining as we will be back more often in person than carrying out.“
“Ordered spinach salad, no adds in. Very fresh, good combinations, big size. Only thing I would recommend to make it proper Mediterranean is to just add a seasoning bar with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice instead of the seasoning that came prepared cause it's too sugary. Service was excellent, very decent guys, all seemed kind and humble. Surprisingly fair/moderate prices, considering the city.“
“A lot of ice cream joints, offer, vegan options but few go beyond sorbets and one or two basic flavors. Mr. Dewey's goes the full Monty, with lots of unique flavors, as well as traditional ones. Especially fond of mixing the golden turmeric flavor with another less exotic taste, like banana walnut, for a real treat.“
“We ordered the paneer tikka masala and the veg chilli momos. Both were good, but the Momo portion was small. Order something else with the Momo as it is not enough for one person. Parking is a nightmare, if you are not a local, plan your parking with care.Vegetarian options: Veg chilli momo, veg steam Momo, daal, veg pakoda, paneer chili , daal makhani, saag tofu (vegan option)“
“I have several favorites here but you have to do the mushu wraps as an app! The food is always great! The only downside is that the timing for food to be ready can vary wildly (10-20 mins from the expected time) each time I go to pick up. But the food is always fresh and warm.“
“Excellent choice for those that prefer vegan gluten free! There are a lot of restaurants in this area but this is the place for VGF food. Very fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly, upbeat and welcoming. Recommended for everyone. What a gem!“
“Really cute restaurant with fast service and food. Tasty and authentic, this place has been around for decades and for a good reason. Of course the prices have gone up too, but that's everywhere. $70 for the vegetarian plate, lamb, and catfish. Choice of mild, spicy, or extra spicy. Everything served with plenty of injera.“
“My wife and I went to Pizza Twist, Hercules with a friend who is gluten intolerant. We were delighted to have ordered two Gluten Free Pizzas (Cauliflower crust). One was Veggie Tandoori Paneer Pizza Twist and the other one was Chicken Tikka Masala. These were the most delicious pizzas we had in a long time. The new owners were very friendly. Superb service - Pizzas was made quickly. Will come back again.“
“Got the vegan breakfast burrito. It was pretty good! The tofu scramble was great and the side of fries/potatoes was so good, just felt like there could be more veggies overall. Great service and love that they have Equator coffee. Good place overall, but just like the name suggests its more comfort food in my opinion vs healthier options“
“Amazing vegan food - really love that it tastes and feels healthy. Have had a delicious brekkie bowl and burger for food and great smoothies. Coffee is really good as well. Definitely 5 stars for the food.Atmosphere is a bit sad and boring honestly. And service is virtually non existent. Am I paying a 20% tip to get my own water, utensils and straw for the smoothie? And then clear the table myself after I’m done? Come on, that’s too bad.Would recommend for the vegan food, but don’t expect any service of cozy atmosphere.“
“Beloved’s intimate interior, sweet music and aroma of cinnamon and cardamom surprised me. It’s a compact dose of serenity after the churn of 24th and Mission.I ordered the Beloved Latte with turmeric, ghee and nut milk, no sugar (minus one star for no decaf) at $9 and the Masala Cacao Ball at $7.High prices for sure, as other reviews have mentioned, but where do you find this in the Mission? I just moved here a month ago from Marin and four cafes in the Mission I have tried so far have been tired, dirty and run down. What’s up with that? I thought the tech bros were bringing up the value here.In contrast, I think Beloved represents the heartfelt, positive vibe of conscious living. This cafe packs a lot into a small space. Just sayin’.“
“This establishment holds a special place in my heart, becoming my post-church ritual every Sunday. However, last week's experience was nothing short of divine. Never quite disappoint. The sampler, featuring Jack Fruit and Chickpea Curry paired with coconut rice and salad, left me convinced that the chef possesses a heavenly touch. No exaggeration – I even had to call and express my gratitude, dubbing him the Jamaican Vegan god.Usually, I have a goo5 conversation every time I stop by.Also, go to the next block and make sure you try the Jamaican smoothies.“
“@ the Barbara lady - do you think the other vendors you mentioned don't use can beans - com'on get a grip! $15 is nothing compared to the great taste, customer service and the quality. The Burritos are delicious - Super Burrito's (2 meals in one) they are not street tacos by any stretch. Leave it to people like you who try to hurt small businesses with your negative vibes. We wish you well!“
“The juices I've tried here are good - I couldn't resist and it's fairly close to where I am a lot of the time. The prices are higher than other places I've gone to, but understandable considering inflation. Fresh, quality and leaves a good feeling in the body. There's a small sitting area outside if you want to enjoy your juice there“
“I Really like their product excellent food and great service. That place had great food, but I don't think I would go there again...becausethe idea that you MUST pay at least 20% tip is ludicrous. The whole premise of a "tip" is that you pay the wait person a little something extra for good service, it is not required. If they really want to cover their staff then build it up front into the price of the meal ( though they are already at the top end of expensive)"We apply a 20% gratuity to parties of less than 5, and 22% to parties of 5 and more. This gratuity is fully redistributed among our entire staff and helps guarantee stability in an increasingly expensive area to live, on top of their above-minimum-wage salaries."“
“Indescribable. A dream come true. Not only did they finally fulfill my blue-cheese fever dreams with a sophisticated yet flavor-filled wedge salad; they made me fall in love with nachos in an entirely new way. Continuing into the Caribbean inspired drinks, chill vibe, and perfect lighting.Om Sabor is total magic.Cheers to you“
“In a city where you can always find a good Indian restaurant it's really amazing found yourself surprised by this hidden gem that brings you a taste of authentic and pure Indian dishes and the complexity of the ingredients that mixed together so well. Each bite reveals a harmonious blend of flavors, a testament to the culinary skill and care put into their preparation. What's equally impressive is the ambiance of the place; even when packed, it maintains a serene and welcoming atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff deserves special mention for their kindness and attentiveness. Their proactive approach ensures that you're always well taken care of, eliminating the need to ask for anything. This establishment not only serves exquisite food but also provides a remarkable dining experience that makes you feel genuinely valued.“
“Hidden takeout spot inside a spacious Dogpatch building. Loved the larb tofu, the flavors, the crispiness. The broccoli was okay, a bit bitter, almost as if the seasoning was slightly burnt. The curry was very oily, but very delicious. Portions are on the small side, but the low prices reflect that. The person we picked up the food from was very friendly. The menu is limited, but if you're looking for some simple Thai food and flavors, some is better than nothing!“
“My favorite is their signature roasted cashew flavor! I definitely recommend coming here and trying it! Im personally not a fanatic of vegan items because of the chemicals and oils but this place is bomb! I didnt like the cookies and marshmallows, the texture and flavor is off due to it being vegan but other than give this place a try!“
