“Came here at night around 9 PM because it was the only ice cream place open in the area at the time and so glad to have done so!The atmosphere inside was really so nice when we arrived. There are tables to sit at, the place is large and roomy, and lining the walls are an assortment of snacks and candies you can get. Their menu and prices are up on a board behind the ice cream, and I saw they serve some pretty interesting smoothies I'd like to try.Onwards to the best part though: They have an overwhelming amount of quality flavor options. Classics like Rocky Road, Butter Pecan, Chocolate Mint. Scoops for the sophisticated like Pistachio, Kona Coffee, and Green Tea. And enticing flavors like Huckleberry, Mango Sorbet, and Strawberry Cheesecake. The array was truly a little overwhelming for me.I ended up getting Strawberry Cheesecake in a waffle cone, and it was beautiful. They scooped the ice cream perfectly so that, as it melted, it went into the cone. I'd love to go back and try their other ice creams.“
“Nice little self-service frozen yogurt shop where you can customize your own frozen treat . There are three frozen yogurt machines here with two flavors each. At the time we went there was Strawberry Sorbet, Italian Tart, peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, and another that ran out. The condiment section had lots of sweet toppings from candies, fresh fruits, and bobbas that you can put into your creation. The shop is really small but modern looking and clean. There is nice seating outside with benches and planters and if you go at night the string lights add a wonderful atmosphere to a night out.“
“My daughter tried the frozen boba and loved it. She will be back to try more boba and other items on the menu. She brought me the butter cookie that's shaped like a sea shell, sorry forgot the name of them lol but it was so freaking fresh!!!“
“I have seen the truck before, but finally got to try Brown Cap because they had kindly stepped up to serve ice cream at a fundraiser event for Street Spirit newspaper. I opted for the brown cap in a cone, twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) for the flavor, and sea salt. I had the misfortune of accidentally swallowing a huge hunk of salt in my first bite, which actually stung in my throat. But later when I recovered a bit and was able to eat the rest, the chocolate shell was great, and the ice cream itself was sweet and creamy. I did find the salt quantity a bit too high for my preference. But I tried some of my partner's ice cream too, they had ordered the twist in a waffle cone with salted caramel drizzle. I'd say that is a great topping if you have a sweet tooth as it's only lightly salted. Just watch out for melting ice cream dripping down the sides!“
“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)“
“My new favorite ice cream flavor ever- Orange Cardamom. The server seemed excited when I ordered it! It must be good. Filled up the rest of my cup with Saffron Jaggery Caramel, also to die for. Yum. Nearly worth the 92 dollar parking ticket I got. Oh, well....“
“Garden Creamery offers some unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though! There's almost always a line snaking outside the shop, and it can take 10-15 minutes to get your hands on a scoop (or two). The indoor seating is also very limited, so be prepared to enjoy your ice cream on the go or find a spot on a nearby bench.Despite the wait, the staff at Garden Creamery is fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and happy to answer your questions about their ever-rotating selection of exotic flavors. Here's where Garden Creamery truly shines. If you're looking for something beyond vanilla and chocolate, this is the place. They offer a wide range of options, including vegan choices, that incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients. For my visit, I tried the Calamansi Creamsicle (vegan) - a delightful tart and creamy coconut dream featuring a Philippine lemon. The Ken's Korner (Oahu) was another winner, combining Hawaiian vanilla ice cream with a sweet and savory hit of Ken's horner Hing Mui Sauce and passion fruit preserves. They also have more adventurous flavors like durian, hojicha (roasted green tea), Thai tea, and even black sesame. If you don't mind the wait and the limited seating space and you are looking for a truly unique and flavorful ice cream experience, then Garden Creamery is the place. Just be prepared to be patient and adventurous! 4 stars for the delicious and creative flavors and the friendly staff.“
“Absolutely delicious and creative flavours, had the ube pandesal sandwich with horchata and latik, torched with marshmallow fluff. Came during a rainy day and the service immediately warmed us up. Honestly I’ve been thinking about my milkbomb experience to this day and I’m already planning my next visit. Definitely treat yourself and say hi to Mike while you’re there!“
“Peanut butter brownie cereal puffs might be the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. I do delivery and they frequently give me the wrong order, and there’s also less fillings than usual 50% of the time… but hopefully these are fixed “
“A charming little corner shop! I’d never had cashew-based ice cream before, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich, flavorful, and satisfyingly creamy. The guy at the counter was so accommodating with our group of 5, patiently letting us sample a wide range of the flavors.I was very pleased with my kid’s scoop of matcha! The matcha was fantastic - you could really taste the slightly bitter graininess of the matcha. As another option, you can also get a split scoop of two flavors with a single, which is pretty nice. The only slight downside was parking, though after some circling through neighborhood streets, we were able to find some street parking. I’m sold on cashew ice cream!“
“Found this place randomly when we were in the area - Tom is so wonderful and kind. Very sweet and friendly, which definitely makes the experience even better. The ice cream is great and reasonably priced for the gigantic amount he gives. Would highly recommend coming here and seeing Tom.“
“I’m from Portland, the home of Salt & Straw and huckleberry ice cream… I lived in San Francisco for a decade now, never been here before. Stumbled in this evening and had a cherry dipped sugar cone… best ice cream I’ve ever had. Cliff notes: I paid with Apple Pay and it was only $5.5… fantastic for the hideous inflation we’re seeing in the city with food prices.“
“Their lemon meringue pie and all the custards and yogurts I have tried are impeccable. Lexie is clearly really passionate about her product. Please support this local spot - it’s also priced beyond fairly! We brought ours into neighboring Freight and Salvage for a show (it’s allowed!) and then came back after the show for more…!Vegetarian options: Vegan options too!“
“Angie’s is amazing — probably the best thin crust pizza in the city! Wood fired with organic dough is the way. My girlfriend and I have tried almost all the pies on the menu and every one is great. The date + margarita with pesto drizzle are so good. Simple yet delicious apps including mixed greens salad and meatballs are also delicious.“
“In San Francisco in my opinion people are not always nice including service people, this place was awesome. They ice cream was delicious. I think the owner served us and he was super nice accommodated lots of samples, delicious, ice cream, and very reasonable prices.“
“This place really is a gem! Not the best hours, but never disappoints. The owner is very accommodating and oh so sweet. Amazing prices means you can take the whole family, or be a cool local and flex on em with a new mom n’ pop shop. Great treat in the heart of the Mission. ShoutoutKid-friendliness: Samples / small sizes / affordable / not overwhelming“
“My favorite place for dessert in San Francisco. I love these crepes so much! The staff are so friendly and have creative hands/minds. The crepes are always made fresh and topped with fresh delicious fruit and ice cream. Yum yum!Vegetarian options: Delicious!“
“Gelato taste less quality than target ice cream and expensive, don't worth half of what hagendaz worth. They add gelatin and gums in the ingredients not pureEdit 3/13/2024I gave this place another try they changed the recipe no more gelatin now and tastes amazing ?will be going back for more“
“The ice cream was absolutely delicious, and you get quite a scoop as well. The guy (sorry don’t know your name) behind the counter was super sweet and let us try a couple of flavors before deciding what to get :). They also offer diary-free/vegan ice cream, which was also delicious!“
“Gorgeous warm spring weather called for ice cream! Stopped by for an after-dinner treat to join a line that snakes out to the sidewalk. The employees are pros at getting orders filled, so the line moved smoothly. Tried the pear blue cheese, a couple from the cereal series, and lavender honey. All were so flavorful. A few too many ice crystals, but the taste outweighed that issue. Fun, buzzy spot!“
“I stopped by today for my first visit and had the honey lavender gelato. It was perfection! The complimentary wafer added an extra touch. Definitely recommended on an unusual warm day like today, or any day, really. I look forward to trying out the lemon gelato next!“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“Come for the ice cream, but consider the burger too.All of it is pretty thick and creamy. Great portioning. Surprisingly, the calamansi is my fave. It's for THE REAL calamansi lovers, a love for sour is required. But it's the most accurate calamansi ice cream I've ever had. Toasted sesame is awesome- like a sesame ball in an ice cream. Lemon blueberry swirl - all yum. more blueberry preferred. Strawberry poptart - fairly accurate. Pretty goodNow about that burger - solid. It's got all the ingredients to make one of my fave burgers - mustard grilled pattie, extra pickles, lots of onions, and a super soft bun. but it was too strong on the mustard, and the bread doesn't taste like it was cooking with the burger on the grill. A little toasty would've gone a long way“
“We were shopping in this street and were very hungry. My kid spotted this pizza place and we decided to go there. As vegetarians we ordered the Agarlic Pie, margharita pizza and garden pizza for 4 of us. We absolutely loved this cute little pizzas. All of them were great. Kids also enjoyed it. Will definitely visit next time when we are in this neighborhood!“
“OMG! You haven't had ice cream until you've had Mitchell's ice cream! Dozens of flavors and you can make any flavor ice cream into a milkshake! I had a eggnog single scoop in waffle cone and a pumpkin milkshake that was absolutely amazing! Staff are very friendly and attentive. But beware if you go during peak hours as the line can get pretty massive but we'll worth the wait! They do not disappoint!“
“I've cream is great, huge list of choices, staff curteous and responsible. The eating area was neat and clean. Scoops are ample sized. I left my purse there and they put it away for security and held it for me so I could retrieve it the next day.“
“We've been coming here for years as this is our go-to local spot for ice cream. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. This place was a life-saver when my wife was pregnant and had late night cravings ?. It can get pretty busy especially during summers but there's usually one or two parking spots available.“
“Amazing food with options that meet different tastes.Their burgers are so tasty and their sandwiches as well.I love their packaging has a minimal use of plastic. There's an indoor seating area which is a bit noisy but outside the terrace is just perfect, good luck finding a table when it's busy! ;)“
“Really good service and ice cream. Their ice cream choices and menu choices have a lot of really good options and are super tasty. There’s always a line out the door at this place tho because they are well known for the matcha quality and the good ice cream and lattes. They are pretty fast service too.“
“Powder is my go to spot in San Francisco. It’s the only dessert place in the city that does Bingsoo right. Unlike other Bingsoo places that shave the ice and put the flavoring on top, powder infuses the flavor in the actual ice, leading to a perfect bite every time. Definitely recommend the black “
“I love this place! It has always been my favorite ice cream place because it has unique flavors and great service. The ice cream is made on sight with quality ingredients and lots of care. My favorite flavor is salted caramel but all of them are good, especially the sorbet.“
“Worth trying but not necessarily returning. The sandwiches were good but not great, fresh ingredients and well prepared but nothing nocks your socks off in terms of flavor. Ihad the Dagwood on Dutch Crunch and also tried the pastrami on a soft roll and both were just OK. Sep 2015.“
“The waffles are good! It’s not super sweet, the taste is just right. The waffles are crispy and you can customize your waffles as well! *They don’t have indoor seating*Better order through the app (Snackpass) beforehand so you don’t need to wait so long“
“This ice cream parlor has some very delicious treats. I am huge ice cream sandwhich fan and the fact that you can customize your own ice cream sandwhich with so many different flavors of ice cream and types of cookies was great! Plus it tasted amazing!“
“A lot of ice cream joints, offer, vegan options but few go beyond sorbets and one or two basic flavors. Mr. Dewey's goes the full Monty, with lots of unique flavors, as well as traditional ones. Especially fond of mixing the golden turmeric flavor with another less exotic taste, like banana walnut, for a real treat.“
“Absolutely lovely place. We went in after our lunch today (weekday), and hanging out was a delight. The sir manning the counter was such a sweetheart. Such a kind soul. My friend, and I really enjoyed speaking to him on a quiet afternoon in the store. We hung out, and enjoyed the St. Patricks day special, and the chocolate sorbet.“
“Was craving some gelato during the cold holidays & this is one of the few places that closes later during the holidays in the area.I got a scoop each of dark chocolate & peppermint just to satisfy the holiday mood & it hit the spot!“
“If you've never had mochi or mochi ice cream, you should definitely order 2 or 3 of those here. We like salted caramel the best. The soft-serve ice cream is solid too, especially the seasonal flavors. If there's no seating available on the nearby benches, go upstairs, there's a couple more benches there, and they're usually available.“
“The Yogurt is okay, but good value and very popular place. You can choose and mix flavors, and up to three topping for $1.What I like most is that they put toppings inside also, they mix the topping in so it’s not just sprinkled on the top.“
“Service was fast! It was busy, but only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated on a Saturday afternoon. And the food and shakes did not disappoint!! My kids were pleased.Parking: Small parking lot. I had drive for 15 minutes to find paid street parking 4 blocks away.“
“Love the rotating ice cream flavors, interesting flavor choices and all were tasty. We tried the ginger, marzipan, red bean, and pumpkin. The marzipan and ginger were especially flavorful. We got the ice cream sandwiches, the bread is very similar to a doughnut. The ratio of ice cream to bread is perfect, although it tastes best when eaten right away and the bread is still a little warm. Not a negative but just something to note - the sandwiches are pretty messy to eat, so grab napkins!“
“Ordered a smoothie and got a very pretty layered smoothie with fresh ingredients all the way through (including a generous layer of pomegranate seeds on the bottom). The place was nice looking and clean, the man behind the counter was very friendly and the smoothie was great.“
“A popular dessert spot in the Castro District, absolutely amazing, if you have a small or big tooth for desserts this spot might be it, cookies, ice cream, floats, and cakes. It has it all! Great pricing and tastes fresh. Would recommend this on any occasion.“
“I ordered matcha and vanilla ice cream. Delicious ice cream flavor, not too sweet. The queue was quite crowded due to the holiday, but the staff worked quite quickly so I didn't have to wait long. It takes about 10 minutes to have ice cream. The small shop has no seats, you can bring ice cream to a chair in the middle of the mall to eat.“
“these are going to be as sweet as they look. some flavors are a little better than others. but the cornbread was so good it was eaten before i could get a photo. really enjoyed the brownie batter. but the strawberry could have used a better cookie recipe and less frosting“
“I have been going to Dream Fluff Donuts for over 20 years. They are a local institution. If you're looking for classic donuts that are super fluffy and fresh look no further. There is often a line but it goes quick and also speaks to their popularity. The ambiance is old school. They haven't updated much since they opened but it's clean and quaint. Diner vibes. My favorite are their old fashioned donuts and their raised donuts (their fluffiest). They also are super reasonably priced.“
“I like ice cream and This was very good. It was rated top 5 in the country by food channel. I’m not sure I’d rate it that high. There is a place in Syracuse called Abbots that I think is better. Don’t get me wrong. It was very good and worth the stop. It was very creamy and the staff is super helpful. You have 8 choices a day to choose from. I picked Dark chocolate smoked sea salt. It was a little too salty for me. Staff was very good. You can eat and look over the bay. Great date spot“
“I moved from SoCal to San Francisco in June of 2023. I've seen a number of sandwich shops and I pass by Marina Submarine everyday on my way to work. Today I was craving a sandwich and even saw a few posts about sandwiches on social media today, so I decided to stop in Marina Submarine. I've never tried a tuna melt, but it was raining today and it was calling my name. Not only was this tuna melt AMAZING, but it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! It's really awesome to try something for the first time and be blown out of the water! The jalapeño on this sandwich gave it a nice subtle heat and added layer of flavor. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted. First time here and it didn't disappoint! I'm very impressed and I'll be back.“
“This ice cream is to die for!Good:- Good prices on scoops and had a yelp discount- The strawberry and cookies and cream ice cream were the best I'd had in a very long time! Thoughrouly impressed and it was not too sweet and fluffy- Super fun and nice servers - let us have samples tooBad:- Long lines here!- Pretty casual diner ambiance hereOverall would come back - the ice cream is super good and satisfied my cravings perfectly.“
“My favorite is their signature roasted cashew flavor! I definitely recommend coming here and trying it! Im personally not a fanatic of vegan items because of the chemicals and oils but this place is bomb! I didnt like the cookies and marshmallows, the texture and flavor is off due to it being vegan but other than give this place a try!“
