“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)“

“Delicious and unique flavors with great customer service. I really enjoyed their large selection of ice cream that has a mix of your traditional flavors and the more unique ones. It's so difficult to find ice cream shops that serve anything besides tooth achingly sweet or plainly boring flavors, so I appreciated Bi-Rite's ability to make ice cream flavors that are not only delicious, fluffy, and light, but also not too sweet. Despite the longer wait, the employees were patient and would provide samples.“

“Garden Creamery offers some unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though! There's almost always a line snaking outside the shop, and it can take 10-15 minutes to get your hands on a scoop (or two). The indoor seating is also very limited, so be prepared to enjoy your ice cream on the go or find a spot on a nearby bench.Despite the wait, the staff at Garden Creamery is fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and happy to answer your questions about their ever-rotating selection of exotic flavors. Here's where Garden Creamery truly shines. If you're looking for something beyond vanilla and chocolate, this is the place. They offer a wide range of options, including vegan choices, that incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients. For my visit, I tried the Calamansi Creamsicle (vegan) - a delightful tart and creamy coconut dream featuring a Philippine lemon. The Ken's Korner (Oahu) was another winner, combining Hawaiian vanilla ice cream with a sweet and savory hit of Ken's horner Hing Mui Sauce and passion fruit preserves. They also have more adventurous flavors like durian, hojicha (roasted green tea), Thai tea, and even black sesame. If you don't mind the wait and the limited seating space and you are looking for a truly unique and flavorful ice cream experience, then Garden Creamery is the place. Just be prepared to be patient and adventurous! 4 stars for the delicious and creative flavors and the friendly staff.“

“I'll start off by saying yes, this does taste just as good as it looks. I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It was super eye catching and looked like a very unique take on ice cream. Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. Overall, absolutely love this place and would highly suggest to any ice cream enjoyer.“

It made indulging in gelato a pleasant experience regardless of the weather.I sampled the vegan passion fruit gelato and then ordered a scoop of it in a small waffle cone. I wanted the vegan vainilla to pair with the passion fruit, but the staff informed me it was mislabeled and unfortunately wasn't vegan. I didn't have any lactase tablets on me, so I stuck with the safe option. There's not much seating inside because it's a small establishment, but eventually, a couple of tall chairs at the window bar opened up. We waited for about 15 min because we wanted to try the funfetti cookie and some were just coming out of the oven. There were also a few ice cream flavors not in stock. “Passed by this place on the way to dinner with my friends, and I realized that I have bookmarked this place for awhile. Upon entering we were greeted by the employees and could request samples to try out their unique ice cream flavors. I sampled the Banana Puddin, but I didn't end up with that one because I didn't think it had enough banana flavor. I then sampled the Creme Fraiche, and that one tasted a lot like cheese/sour cream so I decided to pair it with the Brown Sugar Lavender. In a small bowl you can get up to 2 flavors, so that is what I did, and it did not disappoint. The interior of the place gives a lot of retro diner vibes, it felt very nostalgic. I enjoyed my ice cream with my friends sitting at one of the tables while seeing other customers come in and sit down at the bar to order their own ice cream. There's a variety of options to choose from, which includes milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, boozy floats, and more. I think the unique menu in both flavor and types of desserts make the Ice Cream Bar have an identity of its own compared to other ice cream parlors. If I'm ever in the area again, I look forward to their rotation of flavors and trying out the other desserts“

“Wow, I've been an active client of this eatery since 2015 but now have a long overdue review to share with you all! Firstly, this is a mom & pop biz that is run by a Chinese couple who are devout to their customers & have an amazing work ethic & relationship with the local community. Don't come in here expecting a ritzy shop with a chandelier & staff wearing tuxes! This is a mom & pop that scream out "hole in the wall " because it's take out only & has the hot Chinese Team Table Side on the right & the ice cream to the right. $2 for a tiny box of Chinese grub, $6.50 for a two item combo box, $1.25 for a scoop of ice cream & home made French fries that start at just $2 for a small batch! When I was struggling financially as a broke college student, this was one of my favorite meals! A full meal for less than $5! Their neighbor , Hong King BBQ used to have 50 Cents ice cream, but thanks to Bidenflation, that is now history. Come here and Trump out your expenses when dining out because it's election year & it's not cool to overpay! Lol“

“My favorite flavor is peanut butter fudge ripple which has my favorite flavors - peanut butter and vanilla with just a touch of chocolate. Humphrey Slocombe has tons of other flavors - I've tasted those other flavors - but I haven't found one that I like more than peanut butter fudge ripple. The line can get long and depending on what people order, it can take a bit of time. The ice cream is on the pricier side for those who are watching their budgets....but the servings are small for those who are watching their waistlines.“

“Very pretty gelato! Would recommend picking contrasting colors so your flower doesn't end up quite as boring as mine. The gelato is tasty, though the flavours are a bit subtle. I like the concept, but unfortunately the gelato texture became a bit too melted once it reached my hands. The flower design takes a while to complete.Worth it for the gram at least once though!(Btw, unlimited choice of flavours, your selection just affects the size of the flower!)“

“In need of an afternoon pick-me-up, I stopped by at this place and ordered the signature lemon burst with green tea and boba pearls. The tea was delicious, and the pearls were sweet and chewy. The only thing I wish they did differently was remove the lemon seeds, as I kept getting them in my mouth when I took sips and had to spit them out. Overall good option for fruit tea though.“

“I been to this boba shop once and I forgot to review it but if you want pretty gradient boba drinks this is the place to go. I got the coconut island drink with boba and some boba place you can hardly taste the coconut but this one actually had a strong taste of it. At the time I didnt get to try some of their snacks but really wish I did“

“I'm going to level with you. It's an expensive ice cream cone. That's the only reason it's not 5 stars. Other than that its really good, lots of great topping options but you really have to get it dipped in chocolate. That's the move. I also appreciated that they took venmo as a payment option.“
