“I'll start off by saying yes, this does taste just as good as it looks. I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It was super eye catching and looked like a very unique take on ice cream. Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. I sampled the Banana Puddin, but I didn't end up with that one because I didn't think it had enough banana flavor. I then sampled the Creme Fraiche, and that one tasted a lot like cheese/sour cream so I decided to pair it with the Brown Sugar Lavender. In a small bowl you can get up to 2 flavors, so that is what I did, and it did not disappoint. The interior of the place gives a lot of retro diner vibes, it felt very nostalgic. I enjoyed my ice cream with my friends sitting at one of the tables while seeing other customers come in and sit down at the bar to order their own ice cream. There's a variety of options to choose from, which includes milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, boozy floats, and more. I think the unique menu in both flavor and types of desserts make the Ice Cream Bar have an identity of its own compared to other ice cream parlors. Today I was craving a sandwich and even saw a few posts about sandwiches on social media today, so I decided to stop in Marina Submarine. I've never tried a tuna melt, but it was raining today and it was calling my name. Not only was this tuna melt AMAZING, but it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! It's really awesome to try something for the first time and be blown out of the water! The jalapeño on this sandwich gave it a nice subtle heat and added layer of flavor. This is a mom & pop that scream out "hole in the wall " because it's take out only & has the hot Chinese Team Table Side on the right & the ice cream to the right. $2 for a tiny box of Chinese grub, $6.50 for a two item combo box, $1.25 for a scoop of ice cream & home made French fries that start at just $2 for a small batch! When I was struggling financially as a broke college student, this was one of my favorite meals! A full meal for less than $5! Their neighbor , Hong King BBQ used to have 50 Cents ice cream, but thanks to Bidenflation, that is now history. Come here and Trump out your expenses when dining out because it's election year & it's not cool to overpay! Lol“
