“Indian Clay Oven Exceeded my expectations. One of the best indian chicken curries and gulab jamun (indian sweet doughball) I've have in the US in a long time. I also ended up striking a pleasent conversation with the very warm and professional staff Nabi, who claimed that some of their vegetarian options are even better. I'll definitely be making another trip there soon to try their other dishes out. If you're in the neighborhood and are looking to get some authentic indian food, this is your place to be.“

“Dabao is DaBOMB. Went for dinner there last night. I am visiting from Vancouver and so needed to try tried all of Emily’s signature plates. Each plate was better than the next. Flavorful, fresh and just absolutely delicious. And the spicy condiments were sooo good. This is not your average food court fare. Not only is this the best option at the Metreon, it’s up there with the best options in town. They also cater and you can order through all the delivery apps. Try it and you will not be disappointed.“

“I recently had Jason cook for my 40th birthday backyard/pool party for ~18 adults and he was phenomenal! Not only are his paellas and tapas incredibly tasty, he is also an all around great person. We had the paella Valencia moderna and the vegetarian paella and both were excellent, even better than the paellas I have had in Spain. My friends/family are still raving about his food! The presentation of everything was very impressive and really elevated the already exceptional flavors of all the food. The booking process was also seamless, Jason is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Chef Jason and his paella for your next special gathering! And that feeling permeates through everything from the quirky-yet-cozy outdoor seating, to the way they take care of you when you visit. They're authentic people and they genuinely want you to enjoy your beverage and your visit -- and they're great at helping you do both! I was feeling impatient about not being able to get to the food, but happy to see everyone enjoying it. Nicole is amazing and she really picked some unique varieties that come together so well. “Wonderful experience with the Revel meal delivery! The food was DELICIOUS and prepared perfectly. The whole family (including 5 kids) enjoyed it! The menu was creative and I could customize our order - double orders of protein and single orders of vegetables. They provided a touchless delivery with all of the items clearly labeled with ingredients (in case someone in your house is dealing with allergies) and clear instructions on how to finish the preparation. And to top it off, not only was the delivery on time, they texted me with a 20-minute heads up text so I would know exactly when my delivery would be on my door stop. For me, I was grateful for that extra effort so our food didn’t sit out in the sun.“

This was an important event, for 60 people in our home, and, in no small part thanks to Jordan, was stress-free. “YES. Just yes. Arguably the best Salvadoran food in the City. Arguably best brunch if not top 2. Chilaquiles for sure are the best in SF (and I’ve done the tour around town at all the top spots) these ones are perfect, especially once you add the steak. Pupusas are cooked to perfection and that tamale?! That’s something special wrapped in a banana leaf. This is a MUST HIT brunch. Will be back to explore the rest of the menu.

But the girl who rang me up gave me a hard time because I was looking at the dates on the salads. As a paying customer isn't it my right to check the dates on the food I'm buying and putting into my body. Unfortunately, I will not be going back because of how I was treated by one person.“

On the day of the party, the food was delivered promptly. It was beautiful!! My guests raved about the food throughout the day. Indeed, it was delicious. Most of it was consumed by the end of the day and people took some home, so we know we ordered the right amount.

“Even though we didn’t end up renting from City View Commissary, we felt compelled to leave a review because the experience and customer service were truly exceptional.

The venue itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. & a kitchen space could be included in the rental. It’s the kind of space you can easily imagine transformed for a special event. But what really stood out was CJ’s kindness and humanity.

We had just lost our wedding venue only weeks before our wedding. An incredibly stressful and emotional situation and CJ was beyond understanding and compassionate. He was willing to work with us, took the time to listen to our needs, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Even more impressively, he went above and beyond by connecting us with another venue that ended up being a better fit for our wedding, even while we were actively touring his space.

That level of integrity, empathy, and genuine care is rare. City View Commissary is not only a lovely venue, but it’s run by people who truly care about others and that matters.
