“We came here after a long urban hike with ravenous appetites. It was late noon but cafe was moderately full. Soon we were seated, welcomed with house special cauliflower & lavender soups. It was delicious and moth watering. I ordered potatoe and sage torte along with lemon & blueberry tart. Trust me ! We all had sumptuous lunch here. I will highly recommend this place who love vegan foods. I am sure ,here you will enjoy foods too.“
“I stumbled upon this restaurant with two friends recently when another place we were planning to go to was closed, and I’m so glad we did! The food was SO delicious—flavorful, but not overpowering, and we left satisfied, full, and with lots of leftovers! I started with a mango lassi (my favorite) and really enjoyed the amount of mango flavor but without too much sweetness. We also had the veggie samosas (big, nicely spiced, just perfect), garlic naan (perfection, saag paneer and butter chicken. Everything we ordered was simply delectable. The service was quick and attentive, but not overly so. And the space was clean and very classic—nice dinnerware, candles on the table etc. All in all I’m so happy our original plan changed and we went here! I will definitely be back again!“
“Fourth time here. Wildseed always delivers great food with friendly, proactive service.I am a vegetarian and prefer food that is inherently vegetarian/vegan rather than veg/vegan versions of dishes. So I tend to be leery of vegan dairy alternatives. But the feta served here as part of the mezze platter is so good that I prefer it to actual feta. Whatever seasonal pizza is on the menu is usually great. Neatball masala is a solid stand by as well. I appreciate that the salad dressings are properly zingy and not flat oil slicks.Props to the kitchen and front of the house for a wonderful experience each time so far!Vegetarian options: Completely plant based menu.“
“I took a lot of accidental live photos here, I would have preferred stagnant. I just wanted to capture one moment, I didn't need any of the moments leading up to that one moment. I'll smile for photos because I want to believe I'm happy in most moments of my life. Live photos are showing me that sometimes I look miserable right before smiling. Anyway, at least food doesn't change much with live photos. It looked and tasted great.“
“I first ate here in April of 2023. On that day they received a five-star review. Almost 1 year later, it's even better the second time. The Paneer Tikka Masala is the best I've ever had. It is seasoned to perfection. I order it mild but there is still a tiny tinge of spiciness just for flavor. The garlic cheese naan could not be more fresh. It too is cooked and seasoned to perfection.Service is outstanding. The restaurant is immaculately clean.Castro Indian Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area.“
“We found this restaurant online and thought we would try it. I am the only vegan in our travelling group, but they all gave it a try. Everyone enjoyed the food. The soup and sandwich hit the spot on a cool day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone whether you are vegan or not. A good, healthy choice with tasty food and a good atmosphere. It had contactless ordering and free water for every table. Clean and tidy place as well!Dietary restrictions: Full vegan restaurant and possibly gluten free options.“
“This place is great, fully plant-based but with tasty hearty portions. The breakfast burrito is a decent size with plenty of flavor. The French toast sticks are delicious and a generous portion. Coffee is delicious and they have a craft beer on tap.“
“Vegan cuisine (non-religious)Ethiopian cuisine, very interesting to try. The menu has a large QR code on the transparent partition at the cashier counter, and you can see the picture by scanning it. If you have no clue, just choose the most popular area. In addition, they also have traditional staple dishes, which look like burritos but taste like cakes, and they also have rice options. The service is very homely and friendly, it looks like a three-generation family restaurant. The taste can also be adjusted, such as adding spiciness or if you don’t want onions. There are many street residents in this neighborhood, so the lights are a little dim at night. In addition, the sign at the entrance is not very obvious. Although it is a store with large floor-to-ceiling glass, it is easy to miss it at night, so open your Google Navigation.Oh, I forgot to mention: very delicious!Recommend you to give it a try!Paid parking is available on the street.Vegetarian options: Vegan (non-religious)Dietary restrictions: Ethiopian meals“
“My daughter went vegan a few months ago and until today had mostly been sticking to the plant-based offerings at already familiar restaurants. I guess she suddenly realized that she can't live on vegetable sushi rolls, falafel wraps, and tofu ramen bowls forever, though, because she asked if we could try delivery from Golden Era. Of course we had to order the most popular dish on the menu: The lemongrass deluxe. This was by far our favorite of the three items we ordered. Next time we'll get one order each so that we don't have to fight over it. It featured thin pieces of soy "chicken" fried with a crispy, spicy coating. If you like the chewiest, crispiest pieces of orange or sesame chicken you will love this dish. I thought it would need some steamed rice but it came on a substantial bed of vegetables and was a complete dish on its own. We also ordered the garden vermicelli, which is their version of Vietnamese bun. It had all the flavors we were expecting - tart, savory, sweet - with slices of a soy protein that reminded me a lot of beef, both in flavor and texture (not visible in my photo). Their meat substitutes are so impressive. Finally, we had the Thai fried rice. I liked that the grains had a slightly chewy texture. It was a simple and tasty version of this dish. We are excited now to try everything else they have. It's a big relief to my daughter to be able to order freely without wondering if a dish has a surprise non-vegan ingredient. Here we can work our way from the top of the menu to the bottom with abandon. We will enjoy the delicious challenge!“
“Great restaurant! Can't wait to go back! Took a vegetarian friend for her birthday and had a wonderful meal. we started with the Winter Chicory Salad and an order of the Petite Rye & Smetana Butter--the salad hit all the right notes with it's citrus-y dressing; the home-made rye bread was great (the smetana butter could have had a bit less salt...) Then we had the Crispy Zrazi--this wonderful potato/lentil dish stole the show! The Wild Mushroom Stroganoff was delicious (and so rich, I would suggest sharing...). Two baked rye doughnuts & caramel sauce were brought to the table with a birthday candle for dessert. Service was perfect--we enjoyed the entire experience. I can't wait to go back and try some of the non-vegetarian options--which i will have to have with the crispy zrazi. The brunch menu looks awesome, too.......“
“This was my first visit and it did not disappoint. I loved the fact parking directions was included on the ordering site. The customer service was exceptional and with a smile. The veggie omelette flavorful and packed to maintain its warmth. I also tried the pumpkin cheesecake and it was delightful. I say it’s often hard to find excellent customer service and excellent food. The Happy Vegan has both.Dietary restrictions: VeganParking: It was easy to locate street parking“
“Ordered spinach salad, no adds in. Very fresh, good combinations, big size. Only thing I would recommend to make it proper Mediterranean is to just add a seasoning bar with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice instead of the seasoning that came prepared cause it's too sugary. Service was excellent, very decent guys, all seemed kind and humble. Surprisingly fair/moderate prices, considering the city.“
“One of my favorites in the Mission District, located at Harrison and 24th Street, is Healthyish Republic an explosion of flavors, textures, and delicious healthy style. When I arrived in San Francisco, I was super concerned about my food routine, and that's when I found them! Since then, they've become more than just my favorite spot; it's my second home. Perfect if you follow a Keto, Paleo, Mediterranean style diet, or simply if you appreciate quality food with top ingredients. Thanks for every experience, Healthyish family!“
“This place feels like home. A place to get a filling, healthy, vegan gluten free meal. A place to have a deep conversation with friends and stay up late. A place to meet new friends. And this place has incredibly talented musicians. Definitely came for the food and got wowed by the music. I've been coming here for a decade but hadn't been in a while and I will be back.“
“The Coconut Curry here is out of this world. The drinks are A+ with unbelievably great prices. The vibe inside; the colors, the music, the art, are all so inviting and warm. The menu has options for everyone ( stellar vegan options) and our server couldn’t have been better. Best Indian Food in the Bay“
“We ordered the paneer tikka masala and the veg chilli momos. Both were good, but the Momo portion was small. Order something else with the Momo as it is not enough for one person. Parking is a nightmare, if you are not a local, plan your parking with care.Vegetarian options: Veg chilli momo, veg steam Momo, daal, veg pakoda, paneer chili , daal makhani, saag tofu (vegan option)“
“You won't miss eating meat here. Their soy-based meatballs and chicken strips are very tasty. There were quite a few dishes I want to try, and they all look so delicious and look like real meat dishes. String beans with faux chicken strips, taro and pumpkin faux lamb balls, broccoli with faux spare ribs, combination fried rice, and assorted appetizer were my sampler dishes. I was not disappointed. They seem to have quite a few take out and uber eat or equivalent drivers came pick up take-out. Online or phone order is convenient for busy professionals. The restaurant has Traditional Chinese decor, and the in-room dining service was not as attentive as other type of restaurants. You will need to flag them down and tell what you need. Overall a delicious meal, but don't expect any attentive server for an experience.“
“I got the taco plate and the food was so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend. I did have a lil trouble finding it, if you use google maps, it shows it is in the middle of pier 7 when in fact it is on the street by Pier 7. Will definitely be back, whenever I'm in San Fran. Thanks so much!“
“Got the vegan breakfast burrito. It was pretty good! The tofu scramble was great and the side of fries/potatoes was so good, just felt like there could be more veggies overall. Great service and love that they have Equator coffee. Good place overall, but just like the name suggests its more comfort food in my opinion vs healthier options“
“Four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. I chose all fries, no slaw, and it might have been the largest side of fries I've ever got at a restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-07“
“Glad we walked all the way to the end of the terminal to try Mama Go's Filipino Cuisine because it was delicious. They had a line but it moved relatively quick and we weren't in a rush. Service is so kind and generous. It gave off a homey vibe and they had some authentic class Filipino dishes which is a plus. Price was on the higher side but it is the airport. The garlic rice was fantastic and went well with the chicken adobo. The entree also came with a side dish, which is a great selection.“
“Amazing vegan food - really love that it tastes and feels healthy. Have had a delicious brekkie bowl and burger for food and great smoothies. Coffee is really good as well. Definitely 5 stars for the food.Atmosphere is a bit sad and boring honestly. And service is virtually non existent. Am I paying a 20% tip to get my own water, utensils and straw for the smoothie? And then clear the table myself after I’m done? Come on, that’s too bad.Would recommend for the vegan food, but don’t expect any service of cozy atmosphere.“
“Indescribable. A dream come true. Not only did they finally fulfill my blue-cheese fever dreams with a sophisticated yet flavor-filled wedge salad; they made me fall in love with nachos in an entirely new way. Continuing into the Caribbean inspired drinks, chill vibe, and perfect lighting.Om Sabor is total magic.Cheers to you“
“One of the best places for South Indian cuisine in India, and it does not disappoint here as well. Exceeded expectations in every regard, great food, delicious taste, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere. All in all, a great experience, cannot recommend enough!“
“Love all the unique bowl combinations! The Warrior was tasty and reminded me of the UC colours. The ordering system is efficient with an in-store kiosk, and there was no one else there when I went mid-afternoon, so I could submit my order right away. This location has a cute, Instagrammable indoor seating area on the right side.“
“Brilliant little hole in the wall with amazing vegetarian Chinese food. They also have a busy take out counter for dumplings and puffs and such. If you are vegetarian, this is your Chinatown destination.Vegetarian options: You can't go wrong on anything here.“
“Beloved’s intimate interior, sweet music and aroma of cinnamon and cardamom surprised me. It’s a compact dose of serenity after the churn of 24th and Mission.I ordered the Beloved Latte with turmeric, ghee and nut milk, no sugar (minus one star for no decaf) at $9 and the Masala Cacao Ball at $7.High prices for sure, as other reviews have mentioned, but where do you find this in the Mission? I just moved here a month ago from Marin and four cafes in the Mission I have tried so far have been tired, dirty and run down. What’s up with that? I thought the tech bros were bringing up the value here.In contrast, I think Beloved represents the heartfelt, positive vibe of conscious living. This cafe packs a lot into a small space. Just sayin’.“
“I love that the entire menu is vegan. The shakes are amazing and the burgers are hot enough to make my nose run! That's how you know it's good!!! I will return here every chance I get to try something new.Vegetarian options: All Vegan!!!!“
“I worked on Haight street in the 1990's and would frequent this cafe almost daily! They had the BEST hummus and Babaganoush and lentils and rice! Next time I'm in San Francisco I'm making the trip to Haight just to eat here again! So amazing!“
“Hidden takeout spot inside a spacious Dogpatch building. Loved the larb tofu, the flavors, the crispiness. The broccoli was okay, a bit bitter, almost as if the seasoning was slightly burnt. The curry was very oily, but very delicious. Portions are on the small side, but the low prices reflect that. The person we picked up the food from was very friendly. The menu is limited, but if you're looking for some simple Thai food and flavors, some is better than nothing!“
“I loved this place!! I went here for a birthday lunch with my meat-eating family and even they liked the food. We had the pot stickers, spring rolls, and steam bun appetizers and they were so good!! I tried pho for the first time and it was so much better than I expected!! I 100% recommend this place. The staff is really nice and friendly, the place smells good, and the food comes pretty quickly. If you live or are visiting San Francisco, you need to try this place!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan restaurant!!“
“Pressed Juicery is definitely the best out of all juice franchises! - quality is consistent and the portions are perfect for one person - huge variety (green juice, citrus, lemonade, shakes, wellness shots) - you can try a sample before buying - highly recommend you sign up for a membership (you can cancel it later if needed) to get 50% off your first order. Such a good deal! Shoutout to Helen who helped me out. She was so sweet!“
“Loving their vibe of putting taste first in their vegan creations. Also, much appreciation for their rotating menu where they get to show off new innovations. Can be a little slow though since they stagger the order taking and there's a little cooking backlog, but guess that's just a testament of how fresh-to-order everything is. Cajun Crunch Wrap Supreme w/ Vegan Lamb: I can't believe this is vegan! It tastes just like Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell. Except maybe better thanks to the creamy sauces drizzled on top. Especially loved the crispy seared tortilla against the smoky ground "lamb". And it's very filling, like I went to lunch hungry and felt quite full after just this. Every single bite was full of such wonderful flavor.Korean "Beef" Bowl: Lion's Mane Mushrooms are used as the "Beef" and are packed with great marinade and umami flavor. Though the texture is still like cooked mushroom, so not as beefy as real beef or even fake meat and there's a general feeling that's there's little-to-no protein. The garlic noodles were so flavorful, definitely a ton of garlic. The thick udon-like shape was an interesting choice and worked well for a hearty chew. I liked that there was some grilled squash and red cabbage for veggie contrast, but not a huge portion so not to overwhelm the noodles. Everything together tasted great, though seemed a bit high in sodium.“
“I went here after trying a "low glycemic" cleanse at Urban Remedy, which was an overpriced, disgusting mistake. I'm new to juice cleanses this year and can't claim to love them. The Pressed ones at least taste a lot better, especially the Blue Horchata, Vanilla Almond milk, Citrus 3 and Roots 3. Cleanses are good ways to curb eating habits after consuming only liquids for 1-3 days, but they certainly do not elevate my mood or make my skin glow. A friend of mine noted just how freaking out of it I was on day two. I like "Pressed" though because not only does delivery work a lot like ordering a meal, but they're priced quite affordably in the realm of juice cleanses, and many bottles are available at various grocery stores if you want to get an extra juice or two.“
“The ?️ exceptional and fav. Even the small come with generous portion. Pleasant atmosphere. Seating limited and parking can be tight at times, yet delicious chili which is the only cuisine I get. On side note, the ? doesn't blend well with the chilli for me that is.“
“Excellent vegan donuts, inside the ferry building near the pier/ Lots of options, I bought a variety, they all tasted great. A little pricey, $3 per vegan donut, great service. By contrast Whole Foods has 6 vegan donuts for $10. Much better value“
“Great Affordable Cleanse Packages!! Pressed has great options for affordable cleanse packages to suit beginners as well as those who regularly do cleanses. I got a full day cleanse for $30 with similar ingredients to the ones at Juice Shop or Raw which cost $80+!!!The staff was super helpful and advised me on picking the right cleanse package for me. They have full and half day cleanses catering to a variety of detox requirements.“
“I've been vegan for almost 7 years and have had many a burger, so when I read another review that Mr. Charlie's had the best vegan burger, I was skeptical. This place makes a damn good burger. The branding is really cute, and there being a McDonald's across the street really adds to the place feeling like a genuine satirical statement. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-11“
“This is the definition of a delicious Indian hole in the wall restaurant. I can’t understand some of the bad reviews - I eat here all the time, and tried some great Indian food around the world (Europe, India, Thailand, Singapore) and all the “best” Indian restaurants in SF. This is definitely in the top 2-3 in SF and recently finally getting recognition in some of the local foodie articles. It’s family owned for decades and serves authentic Indian food with a homemade style. Great thing is it’s not doused in oil and butter, like most places, it’s really clean and more flavorful without the added fat. Inside its no frills cozy and service is great. You can customize the spice for all the dishes and they got Indian beer with sports usually playing quietly on the TV’s.Butter chicken is the best, it has a deep red sauce full of flavor and isn’t over poweringly buttery like other places - it’s almost like a hybrid tikka masala and butter chicken. I wish it had a bit more chicken though. Mixed vegetable and saag paneer are also delicious.Samosas are also really good - perfect size, crispy slim thickness, and nicely full flavored with spices.Tikka masala is pretty good but not as good as the butter chicken.Don’t sleep on this place - definitely a must try and easily can become your regular go to joint“
“This is my new favorite taco joint. Taco Boys. Al Pastor ? were delic. Sat outdoors. A steady stream of Sunday afternoon foot traffic and one crazy ? walking back and forth. Hey, it's SF in the Castro on sunny day. Can't get any better. Let's blow this Taco stand. ?“
“I hope the owners see this review. I always loved the food when I lived in mission and dined in store. Ordered from DoorDash today and food spilled all over the bag so badly. Thb I don’t think it’s the dashers fault. The food items have lots of liquid/sauce and the box container (not spill proof) doesn’t make sense at all. Please consider changing the food container option for third party delivery apps. I bet take outs picked up by eaters would be fine. Here I’m frustrated but had to accept DoorDash only refund 10 dollars to me (I had to discard one item cause the bottom was soaking wet. ?).“
“Insanely good, cannot recommend enough! The pumpkin sushi was delicious, and shredded tofu was a great addition to rolls. Peppermint tea was great and freshVegetarian options: All veg!Dietary restrictions: Completely veg!Parking: 2 hour parking (free) and paid hourly parkingKid-friendliness: Kid friendly, just a little loudWheelchair accessibility: Easy parking and entry“
