“I’ve been to Ruby’s a lot over the years and the food and staff are consistently top notch. I’m a fan of the coffee, those delish chocolate chip cookies and the curry chicken salad sandwich.

I was so enamored with the croissant one time that I asked the manager where they sourced them. I thought they baked them on site! But the little secret is they are from Semifreddi’s based in Alameda!“

“Located on the Bay Street Plaza in Emeryville, on the second floor next to Barnes and Nobles. Saucy Asian is a Korean fusion restaurant. It’s a trendy place and is pretty busy all the way to closing time. We came in today after shopping at the new Tokyo Central across the street for a late dinner. We ordered at 7:58pm and did not receive our food until 8:26pm which was quite long wait for what we ordered. There is some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating.

As for food we ordered:
- Saucy Asian Bowl
- Saucy Asian Fries
- Island Style Poke Bowl (combo: half tuna/half Salmon)

All the food were good, have no complaints, but have had better elsewhere. Overall, if we’re in the mood for their food, we would come back.“

“I recently discovered how much I love Empanadas within the last few years, so I was really stoked when they opened this location. They used to partner with another bakery next-door to the Y in downtown Oakland, so it was really nice to see this spot close by. The chicken empanadas are always my go to, but the Fugazzeta (cheese and onion ) has grown to be my favorite item on the menu! the staff are very friendly and help you figure out what’s for you if you’ve never been or are undecided on what to get. ( and if you have a sweet tooth, they tend to have Alfajores & sweet Empanadas sale as well! )Only downside is that there isn’t much indoor seating which could be a problem if it’s colder out, but this is minor in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you want some good authentic Argentinian food.

“Great experience at MUMU Hot Pot in Emeryville! The quality of the meat was excellent—very fresh, nicely marbled, and perfect for hot pot and grilling. The broth was flavorful, and the dipping sauces were well-balanced. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Definitely a great spot for a satisfying hot pot meal in the Bay Area. Will be back again!“

“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

“Cassave on San Pablo Ave is awesome. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and the food is seriously delicious. The pupusas are the star — perfectly stuffed, crispy on the outside, and so satisfying. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. Highly recommend if you’re craving comforting, flavorful food and great service in Oakland.“

“We were thrilled to be invited to a dinner event host at Trader Vic’s since it’s one of the tiki bar I really waned to try!

The dinner was decent overall. We started with a salad that came with lettuce mix, tomato, artichoke, hearts of palm and Japanese dressing.

For entrees, we had the miso salmon that’s pan seared salmon with chimichurri, grilled bok choy.

We also tried the sliced New York strip loin, which tasted great as well. For dessert, we had the dulce de leche cream brûlée, which tasted great.

After dinner, we went to the bar and ordered a few cocktails. The bartender, David, was very friendly and chill! We tried the original Mai tai, Polu Puffer and Bumbu Hunter.

The one I liked the most was the Bumbu Hunter, it had four kinds of rums with tropical notes and warm spices! I would definitely come back to try more of their drinks! Highly recommended!“

I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. “Pizza Amigos makes my favorite pizza in town. The crust is soft and fluffy, and the have the best pepperoni I have ever had. My go to pie is pepperoni and green onion. They make it consistently great every time. The service is always a little slow when we go to pick up our order, but the pizza is well worth the wait, everytime.“

“This place has been around since I was a young kid at Emery Middle School in 2003. Good times. I used to always come here with friends and eat food, it’s really good! Having returned to the Bay Area recently, I wanted to see if the place was the same as when I used to come there mind you the economy was better in the 2000s. “A local Bay Area ice cream spot with many locations around the bay. Looking for some dessert or ice cream while around Bay Street in Emeryville, this is the spot. Open fairly late with both indoor and outdoor seating. There popular flavors are their Vietnamese coffee and cereal type of flavor. They have unique flavors and lots of options. I like to get mine sometimes on a cone or to share with a cup. There’s parking garage parking in the area. Service was great, the worker was very patient with our group as we sampled many flavors. We went with like a mint one and I forgot the other and got 2 scoops and shared it.“

“Booked Hong Kong East Ocean for my birthday dinner. I wanted to eat Salt and pepper crab. My reservation was at 8:39pm, it was very quiet on a Tuesday night. The venue reminded me to f a 90's wedding hall.. I ordered Ginger scallion crab because it was the only non spicy option besides steam crab;which was delicious and I ordered a beef and bell peppers dish w/steM rice.“
