“We were visiting a friend in Moraga and stopped by for dinner. Based on the recommendations, we ordered seafood soup, salt and pepper fish, and asparagus chicken. We were very pleased and all the dishes were excellent. Service was wonderful and attentive. Highly recommended.“

“my mom used to take me here when i was a little kid. I live out in Martinez as an adult, but I come all the way because this place is worth it. The BEST! If you are looking for authentic and delicious food, with even better people who treat you so well, this is the place for you. You create your own meal if you like or choose off of their menu with a special section for fusion items. I’m glad they’re still open. I remember it wasn’t sure they would be during pandemic. “Updated review:
I replaced crab meat for salmon in the lion king roll and added extra sauce. It was just as delicious. I no longer eat shellfish now so I’m glad the substitute was still so good. Yes yes yes to Sushi Fighter.
Also, just found out they have all you can eat lunch and dinner! Except Fri&Sat night.

We arrived late(nearly 8), they close at 9. We ordered the cherry blossom, California roll, salmon avocado roll, seaweed salad and the lion king(recommended). Drinks: Sake& Sauvignon blanc. We had a good time and the waitress checked in on us before the last call, which we ordered more. We didn’t leave until well after 9(we’ll never do that again; that was rude) but thank you for not acting annoyed or rushing us out.
I read some reviews about added tip. We didn’t see that, but I gladly tipped for the service. All was good. Thanks! Added some similar pictures because I didn’t take pics but the pictures match what we ordered.
Price for dinner: $90.24 before tip.

“We loved our meal at Tane Vegan Izakaya in Berkeley! The things we got for takeout, ranked in order of deliciousness: 1. Pacifica specialty roll, perfect tempura eggplant, AMAZING creamy aioli 2. The Wedge specialty roll, so flavorful, just the right level of spice 3. Da bao, bean curd was especially good 4. Kailua specialty roll, very good but we preferred the other specialty rolls For some reason this actually seemed better than Shizen in SF, which we've also tried. Not sure why. Both are good though! Would definitely order again.“

- Sweet potato gnocchi : very flavorful! The eggplant and hazelnut sauce base is creative! Solid 5/5
- Empanadas: must try. We ended up ordering 2 rounds of these. The frying makes it a little heavy but the taste and the aioli dip are divine. 6/5 …awesome!
- Tumaco ceviche: interesting acidic flavors. The crispy plantain chips were the highlight for us. 3/5 …the acidity wasn’t hitting right but it’s still really good.
- Carpaccio: the sweet tangy sauce makes this really nice. 3.5/5“

“The food was really good. The standouts were the Calamari Fritti, Caponatta, and the Cosacca. The Ruccola was the only dish that felt flat, but tasted fresh. Service was good and we luckily did not need a reservation. Would definitely return and it's recommended!“

Well baked, not too sweet, great flavor combinations. 10/10 would recommend the Bake Sum box. If you can’t grab a box, you can grab al a cart day of pick ups just to tide you over until you can get a box 😋“

My husband had a PB chocolate cookie and I took a bite. Also excellent. The pistachio croissant was too decadent for me, but i feel that way about most sweets. the arroz con leche apricot i felt the apricot overpowered the arroz con leche but to his palate, they were perfect. He also has the ham and cheese croissant (not vegan) and said it was his favorite thing. Grateful for this bakery. Maybe will get a loaf of bread in the future.“

We we rather disappointed recently when we called to make reservations for 4 for lunch on 2/25/2022 and were informed they only take reservations for 5 or more. Is this true ? If so they should so state on their web site.“

All out of the soft rolls. Had the Dutch crunch and I asked for it to be toasted which they forgot to do. Bread was cold dense and chewy. The rest was on point. No napkins in the bag though. So excellent drippy sandwich needs napkins. Plus no in place tables to sit at? That's why the less stars. I will try again though but I guess I will be clearer? Give them a try. Also forgot to take a photo but my sandwich tracked with the other photos.“

“This place serves CHEESE STUFFED NAAN. It's just so legit. You can ask them to stack multiple as whole cheesy pillows or get the standard single-sliced-into-4 basket. Also everything on the menu I've tasted so far is deliciously layered and complex, satisfyingly spicy and salty, and just good solid comfort-food tasty. Only short is that it gets chilly during dinner with the doors open for when they bring out our tandoori (sizzling plates). Dinner here on the weekend brings out families and friend groups along with me and my trans partner.
