“my mom used to take me here when i was a little kid. I live out in Martinez as an adult, but I come all the way because this place is worth it. The BEST! If you are looking for authentic and delicious food, with even better people who treat you so well, this is the place for you. You create your own meal if you like or choose off of their menu with a special section for fusion items. I’m glad they’re still open. I remember it wasn’t sure they would be during pandemic. I replaced crab meat for salmon in the lion king roll and added extra sauce. It was just as delicious. I no longer eat shellfish now so I’m glad the substitute was still so good. Yes yes yes to Sushi Fighter.
Also, just found out they have all you can eat lunch and dinner! Except Fri&Sat night.

We arrived late(nearly 8), they close at 9. We ordered the cherry blossom, California roll, salmon avocado roll, seaweed salad and the lion king(recommended). Drinks: Sake& Sauvignon blanc. We had a good time and the waitress checked in on us before the last call, which we ordered more. We didn’t leave until well after 9(we’ll never do that again; that was rude) but thank you for not acting annoyed or rushing us out.
I read some reviews about added tip. We didn’t see that, but I gladly tipped for the service. All was good. Thanks! Added some similar pictures because I didn’t take pics but the pictures match what we ordered.
Price for dinner: $90.24 before tip.

First off, the chef is incredibly down to earth and friendly. You can tell he’s truly passionate about what he does and it absolutely shows in his food. Hands down, this is the best chicken I’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing, everything is fresh and it’s all made to order.

I wish I had a photo to share, but the food is so good I never even get the chance to take one before digging in! This has quickly become a weekly lunch date for my husband and me and we look forward to it every time.“

“From our personal experiences, most vegan restaurants have had very friendly and kind people working in there as compared to non-vegan restaurants. This place wasn’t one of those places.

Food was excellent but customer service has a lot of room for improvement. Staffs seem they don’t like working there and hate when a customer walks in. Especially a woman who has a masculine voice, she probably had a bad day or something, she was annoyed for no reason.
Others were welcoming and seem trying at a bare minimum.
I would not go to the restaurant again but would definitely get the DoorDash delivery from there.“

“This restaurant is a local gem! My friend ordered the food for us to share. The first dish she surprised me with was the Foo Young, and I wanted to take all the foo young home for my family to try! It was so yummy!
Their Vietnamese crepes are also made perfectly! We enjoyed the clay pot with all the mushrooms and veggies too.

“Beautiful sunny, quiet cafe in Adam’s point. The best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. The food tastes very healthy, fresh, and simple but literally so full of flavor at the same time. Home cooking made with time and care. Just SO good. If you are thinking about going just go. Wow. And the injera is 100% teff and gluten free which can be hard to find these days. “I got the romano beans and the fried chicken. I didn't know the fried chicken was chicken wings--- which it doesn't say and I don't like, but I ate it anyway. Wanted to try the chocolate cake (which is on the online menu) but it wasn't on the menu anymore. Will come back to try other things another time. Good service and nice ambience.“

“You enter through a walkway full of displays. Then a beautiful patio, up a ramp where you can grab a menu and wait in line. You place your order at the register and get a number. We found a table, grabbed ourselves water and waited for food to come out as its made. Luckily we were sharing plates so it didn’t matter how long between dishes.“

“This place serves CHEESE STUFFED NAAN. It's just so legit. You can ask them to stack multiple as whole cheesy pillows or get the standard single-sliced-into-4 basket. Also everything on the menu I've tasted so far is deliciously layered and complex, satisfyingly spicy and salty, and just good solid comfort-food tasty. Only short is that it gets chilly during dinner with the doors open for when they bring out our tandoori (sizzling plates). Dinner here on the weekend brings out families and friend groups along with me and my trans partner.

“We got a couple of things here and they were all amazing. All their ramen the best version of that ramen we’ve had so far.

We got the Wagyu beef, one and another one that also had duck and pork. Sublime.

Even the soft boiled egg was incredibly jammy and tasted like it came from a foreign land.

Incredibly balanced broth that I can drink all day

We got a chicken karrage one other thing that I forget, which was also delicious. I think it was some sort of sushi roll.

Only gripe is that the seating is a little bit cramped.

There is a waitlist, but they text you when your number is up so you have time to explore the area a little bit. Go on a weekday during non-rush-hour.

“Hard to reserve seats at this 8 seat only Omakase behind an unmarked door in Alameda. Led by a quality, experience, and diner education obsessed chef who personally selects and imports most of the seafood from Japan.

It is a personally catered omakase bar service of very high quality. They also have a lovely sake selection.
