“Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar continues to impress us every visit. The food is always incredibly fresh, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting.

Their wine list is extensive and thoughtfully curated, with something for every mood. We usually sit outside on the patio under the heaters with our dog, and they’re always super accommodating.

The servers are also genuinely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable — it’s consistently a great experience all around. Highly recommend“

“This is our 4th time having Ellie’s Pizzeria. Our favorite so far is the cheese with the creamy garlic sauce . The all meat is amazing as well as the calzone. Can’t wait to try other things as everything we have tried has been fantastic. Highly recommend eating here 👍🏻“

“Tatsu is a solid spot here that really delivers on atmosphere and flavor. The authentic Japanese design stands out right away - warm wood tones, pink Sakuras, clean lines, and a cozy layout that makes the space feel both traditional and welcoming.

On a packed Saturday night, the team was clearly working at full speed. The chef in particular was impressive - focused, efficient, and handling a nonstop flow of orders without missing a beat. You could feel the effort and care behind the counter.

The sashimi was fresh, clean, and genuinely delicious - exactly what you hope for when you sit down at a sushi bar. The specialty rolls like Flaming Dragon were beautifully plated with a bit of flair, and the uni shooters were the highlight of the night - rich, briny, and absolutely outstanding.

Overall, a lively, high-quality sushi experience. When a restaurant is that busy and still maintains this level of freshness and service, that says a lot. Definitely worth coming back.“

“When we visit NorCal we always make as many stops here as possible. I think we’ve covered a lot of the breakfast/lunch options and we’ve been very pleased. The food is always fresh and tasty but some standouts are any of the omelettes and Benedict dishes. I love their blueberry power scone, but a family favorite is the zucchini bread which personally I find just a bit too sweet. The salads are fresh and filed with a wide variety of veggies. My recent tuna salad was so big that I took half of it home.
The service here is outstanding, all lovely smiles and attentiveness.“

“Love everything about Shadowbrook winery. It's a hidden gem tucked right in the Northgate neighborhood. The ambience is stunning just like or better than any other upscale winery in Napa. This last visit we had dinner sharing the special short rib, the Burrata appetizer and the avocado salad and everything was delicious. Love that you can purchase just a glass or a bottle or even a beer if you're non-wine drinker. It's our go to spot when we have friends come in from out of town.“

“La Plaza is a hidden gem in Walnut Creek. Big menu with lots of options, you can't go wrong with anything you pick.

My go tos are the Chile Relleno or the Nachos. the Bean and Cheese Burrito is also one of the best I've ever had.

“It’s ok. The broth is solid but the meat is very spare. Got the largest size bowl with everything and it had maybe two pieces of tendon and one of tripe. Few meatballs, few slices of beef. Coming from SF I’d say even yummy yummy / y&y is better.“

“First time here. Super cute & chill vibe. Pic of food was after I ate one shrimp tempura then remembered I wanted a pic of our dinner. The presentation was much better when it arrived. One teriyaki chicken bento with shrimp tempura and a lion king roll was more than enough for two. Overall, super happy with quality and quantity of food. Definitely recommend trying out this place.“

“This is a five star review from someone who doesn’t even like beer. The bartenders here are either very good at what they do or performing some kind of sorcery, but somehow they always manage to find something that I enjoy!

The beer selection on tap and in the fridge is super broad, really high quality, and constantly changing; the atmosphere is laid back; you can bring your own food in; and dogs are allowed! Their regular trivia nights and other events are always a good time as well.

“This is a perfectly adequate thai restaurant. It appears to be a small family operation, and they were nice enough and service was decent and food was edible. I understand that this restaurant has been here a long time, so it seems like a reliable option.

“My daughter and I had dinner here tonight. It's a cozy place, very clean, tables well spaced and the service is excellent. We had chicken and lamb kabobs. The meat was nicely spiced, flavorful not hot and cooked to perfection, moist and delicious. We also had the eggplant appetizer and will be ordering that again for sure on our next visit!“

I like to get out and try new places but yet I always find myself coming back to VB2 for amazing food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. It’s my favorite place to take friends that have never tried it. If you want to impress in a casual way it’s perfect for a first date or girls night out too. Try the Claypot Rice Or Prawns with mango and garlic butter noodles! “The place was visited for the first time on June 30, 2025. Parking was limited on the street, but public paid parking was available in the back. The walls featured nice pictures of famous Cheesesteak places in Philly, along with some information. The menu was straightforward with plenty of options. A large classic or original, was ordered, along with a fountain drink. It took about 7-10 minutes from the time the order was placed until the sandwich was received. The bread was really soft. The meat, cheese, and onion were well-balanced and flavorful. A slightly larger size or more filling would be preferred for the price. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. It is recommended, and if ever back in the area, it would be revisited.“
