“We decided to try Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar after reading about it online. We arrived in the mid-to-late afternoon without a reservation and were fortunate to get an indoor table before the dinner rush.

We started with a Cacio e Pepe Biscuit and wine. I wanted to explore their Spanish wine selection, so I tried all three options in 3 oz pours. We also shared the Beet Salad, made with golden beets, quinoa, and sherry vinaigrette, and the Ceviche Tostadas with mahi-mahi, mango salsa, and avocado. Both were delicious, although my wife managed to claim the third tostada!

For our main courses, we ordered the Paella and Linguine Gamberi. The paella, with saffron rice, seafood, chorizo, and shrimp, was particularly flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the linguine as well. Despite being quite full, we couldn't resist the Dessert for Two, featuring key lime pie and three other small desserts. We managed to sample everything, although finishing it all was another matter!

Service was excellent throughout our visit. Our server was attentive, kept our wine glasses filled, and made sure we never waited long between orders. Other staff members promptly cleared our table after each course.

The indoor dining area was comfortable, and the outdoor garden seating looked beautiful and relaxing. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. We'd happily return.“

“Clean and friendly staff. We visited here because searching for vegan food concord sent us. Lots of vegan options clearly marked and everything is at least vegetarian. Food was simple in flavor but fantastic. Broccoli beef was shockingly like the original - couldn’t tell it was vegan! Chicken curry was great also. Best was the chicken drumsticks appetizer. Texture and seasonings were perfect“

“My husband, me and our pup stopped in for a late lunch yesterday. We dined on Sipeos lovely patio. We shared a mezze plate and the tofu burger. We choose the roasted red pepper romesco sauce and the charred eggplant for our mezze platter. Both dips were amazingly delicious. The grilled tofu burger was excellent. The food, service and drinks at Sipeos are superb. There are no shortages of fabulous restaurants in downtown Walnut Creek but this one is at the top of our list as a favorite and we will be returning over and over again. Highly recommend it.“

“Brasas do Brazil is an amazing place for a birthday celebration. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but the food was absolutely worth it. The quality of the meats was excellent, and everything we tried was delicious.

The service was also outstanding. They even brought out a dessert and sang Happy Birthday in Portuguese, which made the celebration extra special.

I was already so full that day, and my only regret was that I couldn’t eat more! Great food, great service, and a really fun experience. Definitely an awesome restaurant for a special occasion.“

“Just picked up my chicken soup this afternoon,my granddaughter wanted to go to the park,I ordered it over the phone and they said 10 minutes but we stayed at the park for. 45 minutes the soup and croissant was still hot not warm but hot my granddaughter loved the bread man lol“

“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. “First off the staff was smiling, attentive and not on their phones. The latte was perfection frothed, the espresso was delicious as was the little biscotti that was served with it. Facility was clean, moderately busy, I was able to get a table right away. I watched the staff and they were all so engaged in their work and the guests. Food was piping hot, perfectly seasoned. Eggs were poached perfect, sauce was not only not broken but seasoned slightly with Paprika for color. The pastry counter was spotless and their offered look fresh and inviting. Kudos to this place all around!! Its close to the freeway and parking is easy peasy.“

I'm not a drinker but was once, and the bar looks quite well stocked and with bartenders who are quick to smile. On the smaller side but nicely cozy inside. Some outside seating if you don't mind the visuals of the not overly busy parking lot (with meters, FYI), but which was *very* nice on a recent end-of-summer evening. I'm told they do a fair amount of take-out, but would never have realized it myself across several visits as it is well handled in ways inobtrusive on the dining experience.“

I lived in SF forever and moved out to the East Bay a few years back and this place is equal to or beyond some of the best beer cafes in the city. “Mai Thai is our go-to for Thai food. We chose it over Naung Mai in Oak Harbor initially because of the price difference, but the portions are bigger and there's more of your chosen meat/protein in the soups and entrees. That said- be aware you have to LIKE SPICE. Recently it has been difficult to get "spice 1", which should just be a hint. If you say "no spice", it's OK, but not Thai, right? But if there's a difference between 1 and 4, I can't tell. Our Pho soup tonight (spice 1) was burning our throats. The pad thai was OK at spice 1, but still quite a bit spicier than I would assume 1 would be. This is a new development for this restaurant, so it is probably a new chef. Just BE AWARE. Anyway, most people complain the food in the PNW is too bland, so you won't have that problem, at least! And as far as ordering, we use the online app. Add five mins to the time it says your pick up is ready. It is never ready. Door Dashers use this place constantly, and they clog the order process. There is indoor dining, but we have never used it, thanks to Covid protocols. Also- a final word on parking. The parking lot has been sectioned off from looping through the driver's ed school next door. Therefore the lot is super tough to turn and get out. You are better off parking along the strip by the salon to the left of the restaurant and walking up. Please be careful in this area of town at night.“

“We just started going here on a whim and we've been twice now. Service and food are consistently very good. I appreciate the consistency. The shrimp tacos are excellent, their carnitas are almost as good as mine 😉, and we reeeeaaaly like the flavors of their salsas maybe a little more spice for my husband (he likes a sauce to punish him!). “What an adorable little place and the food was delicious. I felt bad these poor girls were terribly understaffed. A whole full restaurant and two waitresses.... I understand people call out, but you know, that's more work than anybody should have put on them. I would encourage better schedule management or have management come in and back them up.... But in spite of how busy they were, they never faltered, they were polite. They got our order, right, absolutely stunning service.“

The location has ample parking and we did not have a wait time. We decided to dine in and since it was just the two of us at the restaurant, we opted for dining at the bar!
Service was so fast and we did not expect how fresh the fish was gonna be! We were so impressed with the quality that we ordered more on top of our initial order!
We ordered the Bento B, Mrs. White Roll and tuna nigiri! We were WOW’d by the fish quality that we ordered tuna and salmon sashimi and were even more impressed with the big thick cuts that served!
