“We are new to the area and so far have had pizza from Bluebirds twice. First time my husband went and picked it up, the second we ate in. This is some of the best pizza we have ever had and my husband is from Philly. I’ve had pizza in NYC and this was better. Few tables inside but worth eating in, they have an unusual selection of beers and non alcoholic drinks. If you have never had Bluebirds, you have to eat there.“

“Nice and cozy place in San Leandro to get Japanese food. The ambience is nice and I love the interior design. Good selection of beer and sake too. The sashimis are fresh and flavorful, and they pay great attention to the aesthetic of the plate. Definitely Instagram worthy plates. The rolls are also very delicious. I got the garlic albacore roll and it was so good. Also the fatty bluefin tuna sashimi (Toro) is so worth every penny. They're one of the few sushi restaurants around San Leandro that serve it and it just tastes so much better than every other sashimi imo. It's a bit of a mix between tuna and the fattiness of salmon sashimi. A little bit pricey compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area, but definitely worth your money.“

“I absolutely love Fifth Wheel and have been going almost every Saturday for the past few years with my partner. It started when he moved to the area and we were looking for a new breakfast spot. The other spots just didn't hit the mark, but Fifth Wheel has been consistent. Everyone on staff is so nice and the restaurant is cozy. It's not too big inside, so you may be waiting, but it never takes too long during the peak times on Saturdays. Ordering to go is also a nice and quick option if you don't want to wait.“

“Wow. I have been to dozens of sushi restaurants including 2 star Michelins and this place ranks in the top 5. The quality to price ratio is unheard of and it's on a random street in San Leandro. Each bite was uniquely distinct and very fresh. Nothing but good things to say and we can't wait to come back. We highly recommend the mystery box and/or the omakase ($50!) along with some good junmai daiginjo sake to pair ($16-300mL). Service was amazing and makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!“

“Rocky's has been a great place to enjoy for quite a long time. I have enjoyed many different burgers here but I do love the western style with onion rings and bacon and cheese and of course barbecue sauce. I have been here after trips to the Oakland zoo. I have been here with family members that decided to meet here for a great burger and some fries. I've also been here with just a minimal amount of money in my pocket to enjoy a burger and some comfort close to my home neighborhood off of Davis Street. I have to say this place is a hidden gem and if you know it's worth it to go and have a nice burger the way you like it and enjoy your time in San Leandro. It is close to St. Leander's if you are headed there, but it's also really close to most of downtown San Leandro within walking distance which is really enjoyable if you're looking to go up and down East 14th and enjoy all the different businesses of San Leandro has to offer. I really enjoy this place for the flavor and the burgers the way that they're dressed and the size that you can have. It is definitely worth a try.“

“If you crave an old fashion burger complete with iceberg lettuce this place is for you. Today was my first time there and I went with the cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was good. Not great but honest. Gave it 7.5. The crinkled fries were mid. Pretty sure they were frozen. I didn't eat em all. Needed salt. The shake was decent and you get a large. Right there i knew it wouldn't be the best shake. For 20 bucks plus tip it was ok. I don't think i got their best. Next time I'm trying the teriyaki burger and chicken. It's a small, side of the road joint that's so close to being incredible.“

The food is honestly great—the broth tastes light and clean like it’s been simmered from real bones, and the beef portions are huge, a single piece is practically enough for one person.The dumplings were another highlight . Its super soft wrappers with a melt-in-your-mouth filling. The space itself is cozy and clean, and as a huge Pop Mart fan, I loved seeing the Hirono figures on display. Plus, parking is super easy.
The only downside is the service. On our first visit around 11:00 PM, I figured the staff were just tired from a long shift. But on our second visit at 8:00 PM, it was the same story. The waitress didn't say a word, practically tossed our dishes onto the table, and snatched the menus back pretty roughly. When we asked for the check, the staff ignored us to keep chatting and laughing at the counter until they finished their conversation.

I liked the quality of the goods, the mint and thai basil leaves were very impressive, so fresh and HUGE and tasted great. This place also served their bowls with limes which is funny because I've seen it becoming rarer, where lemons are being substituted and I'm the former so I appreciated that. The cuts of meat were these nice long strips, high quality.

I also got a banh xeo and that things was awesome. Whoever cooked it did so perfectly... nice crunch on the rim, juicy interior. The batter has coconut milk, so each bite is so flavorful. I ordered the BBQ chicken and I was impressed by the flavor and the quality of the chicken. It wasn't dried out but was nice and moist. Exactly what I would want.
The macaroni salad was okay, It wasn't the best hawaiian macaroni salad I've had, but it wasn't worse either not a whole lot of flavor to it .
The service was really fast like within 2 minutes.
The atmosphere was typical small busness resturant. Nothing elegant, but functional and clean.
