“Every time I come to Nick the Greek in Union City, California, I’m impressed. The restaurant is always super clean, and the manager is absolutely wonderful—such a great personality with a consistently positive attitude. You can truly feel how much they care about their customers.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the kindness of the staff makes every visit special. The food is always incredibly fresh and full of flavor. My husband and I come here quite often, even though we live about 40 minutes away. We’ve tried other Nick the Greek locations, but none compare to this one—this is the only location we’ll go to because of the amazing atmosphere and outstanding service.
My favorite dish is the Mediterranean bowl, and my husband loves the souvlaki plate—both are always delicious. If you have not tried Nick the Greek in Union City, you’re missing out!“

“I’m always telling my friends about A-Town Pizza in Union City because it’s just that good! Every time I go, I know I’m getting fresh, hot, and delicious pizza. The crust is the perfect balance of crispy and soft, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. Whether you’re into classic pepperoni or something fully loaded, you really can’t go wrong.
But what really makes this place special is the owner, Green. He’s super down-to-earth and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. He genuinely cares about his customers, and you can tell he puts a lot of love into the food. It’s that kind of place where you feel like family, not just another customer.
On top of the great pizza, their wings and garlic bread are solid too. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is always on point.
If you haven’t been to A-Town Pizza, you’re seriously missing out. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!
Would you like me to add anything else?“

“Pretty nice restaurant in the UC area, they were able to accommodate my group of 12 though the restaurant is a bit smaller. The service was good, unlike the other reviews servers came to take our order, and food was good as well.
Started off with lamb seekh kabobs which were really good, and chicken malai was ok as well. Got the chilli chicken, I think it def could have been spicier, and had more veggies than meat, but meat was good. Mango Lassi was actually nice and thick! For entrees, we got the kadai chicken, chicken curry, and goat curry, all pretty good. And I absolutely LOVED the gulab jamun with ice cream at the end.“

We stumbled upon it by accident after getting a flat tire and were looking for food near the repair shop. The service was fantastic, and the food was amazing! I would easily travel a long distance just to come back here.“

“House of Dumplings is an absolute treasure! Their dumplings are incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly handmade with care. Every bite is a delight, whether steamed or pan-fried. Beyond the dumplings, their other Chinese dishes are also excellent. This place is a must-visit for authentic and delicious food. Highly, highly recommend!“

“The first time I tried the lemongrass tofu sandwich at Huong’s Sandwiches, it honestly reset my standards for what a sandwich can be. I haven’t even been there that many times, but that one bite was enough to stick with me. The tofu is perfectly infused with lemongrass—bright, fragrant, and comforting all at once—balanced in a way that feels thoughtful, not overpowering. It’s the kind of flavor that doesn’t shout, but gently reminds you how good simple food can be when it’s made with care. As a vegetarian option, it doesn’t feel like an afterthought at all; it feels intentional, complete, and genuinely heavenly.
What makes Huong’s even better is how easy and welcoming it is. There’s basically zero wait, which somehow makes the experience feel calmer, like the universe is briefly on your side. For around ten dollars, you get something that tastes far more special than its price tag suggests. It’s the kind of place you can just drop by—no planning, no stress—and walk out with a sandwich that feels like a small win for your day. In a world where good food often comes with long lines or high prices, Huong’s feels refreshingly kind.
Eating that lemongrass tofu sandwich makes me feel ready for whatever comes next. It’s grounding and energizing at the same time, like a quiet moment of joy before the day unfolds. There’s something hopeful about knowing a place like this exists—somewhere that delivers warmth, flavor, and comfort so effortlessly. Huong’s Sandwiches isn’t just the best lemongrass tofu I’ve ever had; it’s a reminder that little routines, good food, and simple pleasures can carry us forward, one really good sandwich at a time.“

“The food here was phenomenal!! Our order was taken by the restaurant grandpa, and he was the sweetest. He literally walks away, and two minutes later, our food is at our table. The broth was delicious. Some of the best we have had around this area. And then best part is, it was affordable.“

“Best and most underrated ramen in the Bay! The broth is so flavorful, the texture of the noodles is perfect, and the pork belly is so crispy. Good portions for the price and the owners/service are great. My personal fav is the TanTan! Can be a little salty so request less salt :)“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. Overall my chakra levels increased and I can now go on to master spinjutsu! We love you Tecca! 10/10“

“Food was decent overall. I ordered the tom yum expecting a classic, flavorful soup, but it didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of taste. I ended up switching to the tom kha, which was better and more enjoyable.
Portions were reasonable and the overall experience was fine. Not outstanding, but a decent place if you’re in the area.“

“My favorite Filipino food spot in the Bay Area! The food here tastes like home. The food is always good whatever you order, and the prices are a great value. I always try to come here regularly.
Just know that the inside seating is very limited and there are not that many tables. So, it's sometimes hard to get seating during busy hours. However, the food is prepared fairly quickly and table turn over is fast.“

“Have been here a few times already and everything is consistently delicious. Thought it was about time for a review! Most recently, I ordered the pho ga (chicken pho) just as it is and it was flavorful, full of good size chicken pieces, ample noodles, and the broth was perfect. Toppings on the side were plentiful (basil, lemon, sprouts, etc.). I also ordered a soda chanh (lemon soda) and some spring rolls. Again, never an issue with the freshness or quantity provided. Just loved it and highly recommended you pay this restaurant a visit if you're in Union City and are seeking a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. While I haven't tried the other meat/rice dishes they offer (since I typically only ordered pho), my other family members have and will attest that they are made well and are of sizeable portion. Also, the family that runs this place is always kind and efficient. Thank you so much!“

“First time here. Great pizza! Will come back again. Did take-out. It was going to take 20 mins to bake so got there right about the time it was ready. Unfortunately there was a long line. (I figured that was a good sign though so was fine waiting.) My bad for not realizing it was lunch hour so it might be busy. So 20 mins later finally got my pizza. Will remember for next time.“

“Great value and good flavor overall. The stewed meats like lengua were super tender and rich—definitely the highlight. The grilled options (tripa, asada, al pastor) were just okay; tripa could’ve been crispier, and the others lacked that seared depth.
The restaurant is clean, and service is solid, though it’s mostly self-serve—order at the counter and grab your own salsas and drinks. Easy, no-fuss setup that works. I’d come back and stick with the braised meats.“

“It’s my first visit here. I loved the rice casserole and the fried pork ribs. The rice casserole was very authentic and delicious, just like the best ones I had in China.
The place was clean and the service was great. The manager answered my questions and when she saw there’s oil on my hands, she got me a paper napkin before I asked. I was very grateful!“

“Had a great experience! As a vegetarian, I’m always a bit cautious when trying Korean restaurants, but this place pleasantly surprised me with several delicious options.
The vegetarian-friendly Bibimbap was flavorful and satisfying, packed with fresh vegetables and perfectly seasoned. I also tried the Japchae, and the sweet potato glass noodles were cooked just right — slightly chewy, lightly sweet, and full of vegetable flavor. I also enjoyed the crispy fried seaweed rolls, which made for a perfect appetizer.
What I really appreciated was how accommodating the staff was when I asked about the ingredients and vegetarian modifications.
Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for vegetarians who want to enjoy authentic Korean flavors without feeling limited in choices. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“This is a nice Thai BBQ place. We got Phad See-Ew with chicken, Chef's Special Seafood Combo Plate which came with Shrimps, scallops, mussels, squid. Fried shrimp & fried calamari, with a chicken fried rice. Everything was good except I felt the fried calamari and fried shrimp had to much breading on them we ended taking some of the breading off. Overall everything had good flavor, also the prices listed online are not the correct prices in store.“

“Happy hour feels next level when you've got raw oysters, garlic fries, calamari, crispy chicken, and a cozy curry hot pot with noodles on the table. It's the perfect spot to chill with friends after a long day while catching a game! Those creamy oysters with the Thai chili garlic ponzu sauce? Total match made in heaven. Plus, the service is awesome!“
“Da Good Vibes offers a delicious fusion of Filipino, American, and Hawaiian dishes. When they replaced the old restaurant, I honestly thought I was going to miss the previous menu, especially the mochiko chicken, which was the old spot’s specialty. I remember hoping the new restaurant would have great food too, but oh my gosh, they exceeded my expectations from day one.
I’ve been a loyal fan ever since. I’ve tried most of their menu, and their roasted beef is my absolute favorite. It’s incredibly delicious, although it’s only offered for a limited time. The chicken adobo and guava-glazed pork are close runners-up, and the chili rice is just as flavorful. The staff is so warm and welcoming that I already feel like family whenever I visit. Kudos to the chef!“

“We visit this Mountain mikes at least once a week. Every Tuesday they have 40% off large pizzas so get them while they are hot! The kids are always excited to go pick up the pizza because they have a few games to play to win prizes while we wait. The owner Richard is always so friendly and delighted to see the family. Maria at the register is also very nice and accommodating. We usually go with extra pepperoni or a half and half Everest. But either way, hats off to the chef! Thank you for making family dinner night easy and delicious. Make sure to download the app to start collecting those points for a free pizza!“

“Menya Shono is a good quality ramen restaurant in the East Bay and I'm happy to have tried their original Ginjo ramen. Some standouts: atmosphere is modern and clean, pork chashu is slightly smoky in flavor, and broth is rich/thick. My party had no wait on a weekend lunch. Parking is easy in the public lot.“

“Mediocre sushi for fair prices.
I had a rainbow roll and miso soup. My total was $14.85 after tax.
The roll wasn't awful. The rice was slightly overcooked, so it was mushy. It also didn't taste like there was any vinegar. The avocado, salmon, and shrimp looked fresh. The miso soup was piping hot. It was hard to open the bowl because the surface was 163°F according to my phone's thermometer. There were a few pieces of tofu and seaweed.
I sat in the dining area, which was pretty clean and can accommodate up to 16 people and a small child comfortably (high-chair available). The restroom was closed when I visited. The music was a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin songs. It's quiet enough for a conversation.
As for the ordering process, you can use a kiosk or order with an employee, then sit down and wait until your number is called.
Everything is packaged to-go. They've gotten rid of their branded packaging and use generic options.“

“Baked goodies from our childhood memories of Philippines are available freshly baked here: pandesal, puto bungbong, puto, siopao, kutsinta, turon, leche flan, bibingka, palitaw, etcetera. It's small, but stocked well, and sometimes lineups happen inside. Simplicity in tradition continues in 'Pinay' tastes and is easily bought, thanks to Valerio's.
Vegetarian options: Most baked goods here have no animal flesh.“

“We come here about once a month. We enjoy mostly the combination dinners with entree (we get Salmon Teriyaki or mackerel), mixed tempura, California rolls, salad, and miso soup. I tried the deluxe combo with entree, sashimi, mixed tempura, and nigiri sushi selection. Everything was very good. Quite a lot of food as a good value for Japanese food.“

“This is a treasure and let me tell you why. It used to be that many Chinese restaurants that opened before the 1970s not only had the restaurant but also a full bar depending on the size of the property. The Kuo Wah, a legendary Hong Kong style had a full bar and a nightclub on Grant Street in San Francisco. I think the bar is still there. Anyway, some history to look up.
So it was a very wonderful nostalgic surprise to see this restaurant's interior which harkens back quite a few decades and it's full bar on the side. The bar is not big enough sitting and drinking, that's for your restaurant table. The menu is pretty expansive and We noted that lunch time had a lot of combination plates in a $12 to $13 range. The tea is nice and hot, and we chose just a basic meal. Broccoli chicken, bok choy with garlic, and white rice..
Broccoli chicken was good. I probably could have eaten a lot more in my younger days. The bok choy, however, was a wonderful surprise because it wasn't stringy and chewy, which is what you end up with a lot of the time. My bites crunched through, not chewy, and it was also delicious. Lot of classic dishes in the menu and I think over the the next couple of years I will make my way through them once in awhile. We don't go out much but definitely we will return.
Another thing of note, I did not see any chopsticks. I think it's an all forks restaurant. That's fine because they serve incredibly varied community at that location.
I think next time I may try their Hong Kong noodles or their chow fun.“

“Mala Town is hands down one of the best spots for Sichuan dry pot in Union City! You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and prices are fair for the quality.
The medium spice has a nice kick, but if you love heat, go for the higher levels—it’s legit spicy! Service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving bold flavors and want a fun, shareable meal.“
