We started with chicken karagee, which was filled with cheese ramen, chicken ramen, house ramen, and spicy pork bowl. The food arrived quickly, within a few minutes. The chicken starter was good, with tender meat. The chicken ramen was perfectly balanced with spices, creating a flavorful bowl of food. I also tried the spicy pork bowl, which was interesting and enjoyable. To finish our meal, we had green tea softie and matcha latte float. Both were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant.“

“I usually eat at big chain restaurants, but finding Pupuseria y Taqueria Rosita during the 2026 World Cup was such a refreshing change. I stopped in to watch the Brazil vs. Morocco game and was so glad I did. Coming to a family-owned place like this was a completely different, better experience compared to the stressful and superficial vibe of major chains.

The vegetarian super burrito was meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious. Having lived abroad for a long time, being able to enjoy authentic food like this in our area feels like a real privilege. The dining experience is very Chinese, from the way you order to how they structure the menu to how the dishes are served I feel like I'm back in PRC. Which could be good or bad depending on person. I ordered the signature spicy noodle combo. I agree with other reviewers that the noodles are the weakest link they are way too soft and wimpy. The soup base is good with the distinct spicy profile but the ingredients in there doesn't really get the taste integrated, they all just fell flat. Prices are on the slightly expensive side but portions are big, two people of average appetite could easily share a combo, and they have a condiments aisle you can add cilantro peanuts or whatever unlimited. Kinda weird for the noodles tho since they are already heavily seasoned, it's more of a hotpot thing. But I added some fried peanuts into my noodles nonetheless. Service was OK and vibe is family / locals.“

Content creators and musicians in the area visit sometimes: Herencia de Patrones (Clika), Rob the Original (master barber), and more have visited Los Gallos Taqueria.

Los Gallos Taqueria gives back to the community (i.e. turkey drive) and brings live music to Newark (corrido, grupo, mariachi nights).

We appreciate the occasional DoorDash deals! I wish DoorDash made it easier to DoubleDash EZBACHI (Newark) and Los Gallos Taqueria.

Tijuana Style tacos with Al Pastor meat are go-to, so are super nachos (custom order: add grilled onions and jalapenos, hold the sour cream).

It's easy to get here from the from Union City BART station on the AC transit 200 bus. The drive thru service is convenient for online order pickups.

They cater and do pick up orders; my last job would bulk order burritos for team meals.“

We had Lamb Yellow Curry Stew and Pad Thai with Shrimp. The lamb was perfectly cooked in a rich yellow curry with potatoes and carrots. The meat was as tender as you can possibly imagine. The Pad Thai was mixed with a sweet sauce that was slightly sticky, which I like so the noodles adhere to each other. I don’t know if this is traditional, but really like Pad Thai like that.“
