“Cocurry was here forever, but even the last time we came, it wasn't the same. Kong Sarang, on the other hand was hopping! The place quickly filled up after we arrived. That always happens to us. We ordered the seafood pancake and the combo of pork belly and tofu soup. They quickly served us with 8 varieties of banchan. I was a tad disappointed that we didn't get asked like the tables around us if we wanted any refills on the banchan. I felt like once we ordered and our food came out, we turned into red-headed step-children, and they forgot about Dre. The food was good. Comparable to Tofu House in Newark. The seafood pancake was hefty. She's a big girl. One could get full just off of that. We probably would return if in the mood for Korean food.“

“My mom and I came to visit 2/28/24 and neither of us have had authentic Korean BBQ before. We were both so blown away. Everything was delicious and you could tell the owner truly cared about his restaurant and every dish that came out. He recommended the bulgogi japchae, the sweet and spicy chicken, and the potstickers. (Sorry for not getting exact names right) I ordered the soy garlic chicken as well. Let me tell you, that is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Every bite was crispy, juicy, and flavorful and all of the other sides were delicious as well. I am so glad we found this place and my mom and I truly had a great night. Thank you so much for your kindness and we will be back :)“

BQ CupBop & Korean Deli Korean • $

“We came on a Monday evening which is a slow night in general so the restaurant was very empty. We ordered the Bulgogi bowl, spicy pork bowl and cheese Bulgogi fries. It was a great value meal because of the amount of food there was in each bowl. The food tasted good but since it was a slow evening for them, I think a lot of their food is made in advance. Elements like the meat and the egg don't come out super hot and fresh tasting. Maybe it would be different if it was a busier night and they were making items to order. The Bulgogi cheese fries were decent but the areas with the cheese got soggy really quickly. Probably wouldn't order that again. I would recommend this place for the great value and comforting food. I just wish some of the key components of the bowls were made to order so it's hot and fresh tasting.“

The stir-fried squid [Ojingeo-bokkeum] had the perfect spiciness, while the Galbijim had ttoekboki in it and it was delicious.Aside from the Galbijim, we love the spicy pig's trotters (aka pig feet), it was so tender and savory with the perfect balance of spicy & sweetness. “This was somewhat pricey as meals go, but it being all you can eat makes it much better for people concerned about being full after hot pot without paying a huge amount. I enjoyed mixing my sauces with ingredients like green onion and minced garlic. Picking out a few new things from the case to try without needing to get a set amount and paying for a thing I might not like was a good perk. Soft drinks and dessert, tasty coconut pudding, being included was another great upside. The spicy broth was good. I wasn't that impressed with the chicken coconut broth and I didn't really like the raw chicken that came with it. The other meats were fine, but some of the beef was somewhat chewy.“

Arrived very hungry after lunchtime and we were quickly satiated. Food was delivered fresh and quick by a wonderfully friendly Korean lady. Happily when I asked for extra Gochujang - she brought a whole squeezy bottle full for us to enjoy. Abundant banchan rounded off this very satisfying meal. So much so that we totally didn't want to go back to work afterwards - lol. Come here if you want a quick, simple, no-nonsense Korean feast. Jjamppong is one of the best I have had in US, with just the right spicy level. It comes with a lot of seafood, which is probably why this dish is much more expensive than Jajangmyeon. “Really great food, and of the Korean chicken places I have explored around the Hayward area really captures pretty authentic KFC flavors in both sauces this establishment has. The soy garlic has that nice bit of added flavor and the Korean spicy sauce is sweet and closer to a Thai chili with something like an added gochujang influence. They both have a pretty solid crunch. Also the bulgogi kimbap is really great, with that perfect marinated bulgogi flavor on big cuts of kimbap. I like the radish they serve on the side it tastes much like BHC type of radish, syrupy and sweet almost like 7up or an equivalent was used to soak it. The service is really friendly, nice folks working here. I like this place a lot, thanks for the good food!“

“The first time I had Rice Junky was actually at their second location in Santa Clara. I'm an East Bay fella so South Bay is a little bit of a reach for me. I've been having cravings for Rice Junky lately so I decided to check out their Fremont location. First off just want to note that this location is take out only. It's a pretty small spot. BUT that doesn't take away from the fact that the food is so so dam good! It was everything that I remembered and loved from the first time I had Rice Junky. At first, looking at the bowl. I was like "oh man, they give you less chicken here." Nope, I was absolutely wrong. Under that top layer of chicken was much more yummy sauced up chicken! Rice Junky is great, The bowl is fantastic. Portion is just right, slightly above average actually. Little pricey, but honestly with inflation nowadays. Food everywhere is expensive so meh. I just wished they stayed open later like their Santa Clara location. I gotta try all their other items. Only been loyal to the CC bowl so far. But the bowl is dam good!“

“So ecstatic to have a Seolleongtang place not too far away. This is great for any occasion but especially perfect for cold or rainy days, the soup will just warm you up.The menu is pretty straight forward, mostly soups but you can also get a few other types of dishes like galbijim here. You can't really go wrong with any of the soups here, but there is a distinct difference with Seolleongtang and the galbitang. The main difference between them is whether ox bone has been used. Galbitang is a clear beef soup made by boiling galbi--while seolleongtang is beef bone soup made by boiling the shank, the head and other scraps of bone until the broth turns milky white. The seolleongtang will also come unseasoned and you can add salt/pepper to your taste while the galbitang will come seasoned.Their side dishes are also delicious, I particularly love their kimchi, pairs perfectly with the seolleongtang. There are plenty of tables and the service is great, highly recommend if you're looking for a nice warm soup!“

“Came here last weekend and have to say I'm really happy with the quality of food! Their service wasn't bad and could use some work but the ladies here are all very sweet and give you instructions on how to eat if you don't look Korean, which always find funny. It's a medium sized place with some bench seating and very chill/relaxed vibe.Usually galbi tends to be on the sweet side and since I'm more low sugar the last few years, things tend to be even more sweet but their galbi was just a little sweet, which was great. It really allows you to taste the quality of the meat and get more of the smoky taste. The banchan (side dishes) were also excellent and tend to judge Korean restaurants on the quality of variety of their banchan and they definitely had some great options. In all, they provide 8, with the sweet potatoes, spicy eggplant, and spicy bean sprouts being some of my favorites. Also got the army stew, which they call hotpot here and man is it huge. They said it's good for 2-3 people but feel like it's got to be 3 really hungry people with this being the only thing you order!I definitely want to come back and try their chicken wings as many other tables ordered them and it looked good.Parking: In a shopping center so lots of available parking“

“2/28/2024Sushiko4546 El Camino RealSte A4Los Altos, CA 94022We went there for lunch on a Wed around noon. It's in the Village Court plaza at the corner of ECR and San Antonio Rd. The store front faces San Antonio Rd. with parking around the periphery of the shops. Not too many people when we got there and it starting filling up while we dined. Probably no need for reservations. It's a booth and table layout with a smallish sushi bar. They didn't have calamari. Wifey had the stir fried seafood udon and I had the lunch special Bento Box with Saba Shioyaki and mixed Tempura. My Miso soup was thick, flavorful and had some Wakame but no diced tofu, just okay. The udon had a good selection of seafood, including mussels and shrimp. My Saba was juicy and tasty, with some edible pin bones. The mixed tempura was hot and included two sweet shrimp with assorted vegetables having a crunchy and slightly greasy breading. The salad had a mayo dressing and just okay, no sesame or soy flavors. The menu is extensive with sushi, bento and udon selections. The service was good, even with just a single server. The lunch special bento box is a good value. Similar to several other places in the area, it's repeatable.“

She also brought us soooo many bonchons (note you do have to order an entree for bonchons) We ordered a lot of food which did take some time to trickle out but we understand as Gina seems to be the only server that night. Korean pancake - 4.5/5 I loved this one cause it was thick and very crispy. My friend did say she prefers the pancake at Sisters House tho because it's thinner there Tofu soup - 3.5/5 it was a lil underwhelming and not salty enough and I feel it was missing a little depth of flavor. My friend and I both prefer the tofu soup at Sisters House BBQ Pork Sizzling Platter - wasn't very well charred. I don't usually get sizzling platters but the ones at Sisters House is better The fried chicken - 4.5/5 very good! I liked the crispiness of the chicken and inside was juicy. You do have to pay extra $2 for flavoring or for it to be crispy so keep that in mind. We did dip this into our tteokbokki/sausage sauce which Gina recommended Tteokbokki/sausage skewers - 3/5 I thought it was just okay for the price of what it was lol. I don't love the sausage but the tteokbokki did have a nice lil crisp to it on the outside but with that familiar chew once you get to the center“

“One of many Korean restaurants in the Bay Area we had to try on our list. This one had a good list of choices and their dishes were pretty big except the chicken wings which always seem to always take the longest to cook. The garlic wings were good but some pieces so tiny that they should not count towards the fifteen pieces. The seafood pancake was good flavor and good size. I really liked the kimchi fried rice, spicy pork and Premium LA Kalbi. The Steamed Egg had no flavor and it had too much soup in it which I thought was weird. We ordered sodas and their Lychee Cocktail for twenty bucks which was a carafe pitcher size. It was pretty good and strong; nothing fancy. We also ordered Bibimap which was pretty big.Choice this Korean restaurant for mom's bday and was satisfied. The prices were on the expensive side. Not a place for a date as it's loud here but good for groups and drinking. Service is ok. They forgot one of our items but at least, they didn't charge us; we did have a big group though. Haha they even told us politely that we had to go as they had awaiting customers. The place is small, and can get crowded fast so I recommend to come early but lots of parking available.“

Crispy rice patties with succulent meat previously marinated and seasoned to fill each bite with a burst of flavors is what you'll find in each Koja sandwich. Pair it with one of their loaded fries and you'll be full for a good few hours. Or share with a friend and have enough space in your stomach to grab a light dessert afterwards.Beef Koja is my go to as I like how the juicy pineapple goes with the deliciously flavored meat. The combination of textures with each bite make it pleasurable to eat; great mix of soft, tender meat, crunchy yet moist rice, and sweet, tanginess of the pineapple make you crave for more after you're done (and I would if I could fit more in my belly!)The loaded waffle fries are filling and are well balanced between the meat and potatoes. Great as a shareable side or a light afternoon snack.Ordering is straightforward through their kiosk and the staff here are friendly. The place is clean so if you decide to dine in, it'll be comfortable and you'll have plenty of options afterwards for dessert or activities (it's right across the theater).Overall, I am grateful to have a Koja so conveniently located in central Fremont to satisfy those rice patty burger cravings as well as fill me up on those errand runs. Owner and staff are super friendly and food is always good. If you can’t take too spicy, ask them to tone it down to your level and enjoy. I have been here many times and will go again.“

“My friends and I have ordered from this place many times on Doordash but never have we been to the restaurant. We usually get one of the combos that consists of Korean fried chicken, kimbap, and fries. The fried chicken was delicious and packed with flavor and crunch! Kimbap was decent and fries are fries. From ordering dishes at Aria, I can say that everything has exceeded expectations!“

“I was very anxious to try this restaurant based on the fact that they advertise juicy fried chicken. In my experience with many other restaurants, chicken has a tendency to either be over cooked or under cooked. bb.q Chicken in Milpitas delivered exactly what they promised, thoroughly cooked, tasty, juicy fried chicken. They offered several flavors to add on to the chicken orders. All the flavors sounded great but that particular day I was feeling like having spicy food so I chose the Red Chak Chak which is in powder like form and the chicken is rolled on the top half of the chicken. I was pleasantly surprised how good the spice and seasoning were. As for the French fries, I thought they were delicious as well. The real surprise was the pickled radish and how yummy it was. It added a sweetness that enhanced the flavor to the already delicious chicken. Customer service was excellent!!! The host was very accommodating and patient as I could not make a flavor choice for the chicken. He politely explained in detail all of the tastes individually which helped me make up my mind. Again Red Chak Chak is a bit spicy .“

“This place is inside a plaza, so there are plenty of parking spaces. We went there for a barbecue. The service was great and the staff helped us with the barbecue. We ordered the Marinated beef short ribs, sliced pork belly, and acorn noodles tossed with vegetables and soy sauce dressing, tofu soup. And they gave us a lot of small side dishes. The noodle dish was not recommended. Other than that, the barbecue was great.“

“A nice and simple local Korean restaurant. The food and service are good, the menu is straight forward and the pricing is reasonable. I love their kimchi, it’s not sour like most kimchi, it has a savory and strong peppery flavor which I love.“

“Souper souper enjoyed the Tofu soup. We went here because we were supposed to go to another Korean Tofu resto in El Camino but they were closing early so we decided to try this place. And it was a good thing because we felt that this place served even better Tofu soup. We liked that they offer choices on what to put in the soup and just the taste was perfect to eat during a rainy night. Also servers were very accommodating and friendly, bec I got confused and mentioned one order but later realized that I ordered something different than what I wanted but they were gracious when I asked them to change and quickly ran to the kitchen to change my order. Order saved, happy customer.“
