“A good snack restaurant to taste Korean snack food. The generous service and delicious cooking skills of the friendly owner are additional features. The price is very reasonable and it is individually packaged so you can buy pre-cooked Korean food and eat it at home. The kimbap is excellent, and the signature bean noodles, which are only available in the summer, are also the best. This is the only Korean restaurant in San Jose where you can taste instant tteokbokki.“
“Absolutely delicious!!! The food is very legit. It’s difficult to find this quality even in Korea. I got too excited when the food came out, I forgot to take a photo. I will definitely visit again and take photos next time. They are super friendly too!!“
“Originally found this place on doordash, then we started eating in the restaurant. When the cuts of fish are good this sushi place is amazing. Portions are good, prices are competitive, bathroom is clean. Would recommend. I suggest the Cali Deluxe roll as it's a hidden sleeper. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian section of the menu.Dietary restrictions: They will remove items from rolls.Parking: There are only a handful of spots in the back of their small lot. Good luck.Kid-friendliness: A general restaurant, normal chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to entry.“
“A lady pushing a stroller who was waiting in line with me for the mall bathroom just asked me what this place sold, I said "it's grilled fish with ice cream." She was surprised and said, "Oh interesting!" I corrected myself and said it was "batter poured into metal fish molds." She thought that sounded delicious so together we went! It was my first time trying this location.Since all the Somi Somi locations I have been to only have take-out, I like this location because it is in a temperature-controlled mall. I prefer it to eating ice cream outside in freezing temperatures and even to eating outside in warm weather because everything melts so fast. You also have more open mall space to wait. This location is bright and clean. It had one flavor that the Cupertino location didn't currently have. My favorites are the cheese taiyaki and the red bean soft serve.“
“One of the best kbbq spots in the Bay Area. Love the pork belly and pork jowl. All the meat are of great quality. Choose the rice balls! Service is great and friendly. Parking may be an issue as it has a small lot with several other stores.“
“Embarked on our first Korean restaurant experience, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The staff's hospitality was exceptional. Opted for something new and were thoroughly satisfied with our choices—crab soft tofu and stir-fried udon for two. The array of sides accompanying the soft tofu was already overwhelming—included rice, egg, noodles, sprouts, kimchi, squid pickle, potato, and carrot. The soft tofu, served sizzling in a cast iron bowl, was flavorful and featured perfectly cooked crab. The stir-fried udon was a culinary delight, bursting with the right flavors. Despite being too full, we had to pack it to go. Highly recommend this restaurant to satiate your taste buds.Note that hot was good enough for stir fried udon but on the spicier side for soft tofu. Choose the spiciness accordingly.“
“3 people who eat more than average were very full. We ordered 2 noodles and Korean potstickers. Total of $36. The noodles were chewy and the potstickers were very crispy, hot and still juicy inside. Next time I would try the black bean sauce with the rice and omlette instead of noodles.Service was friendly, fast, and took time to help us.“
“I got the March menu, and the highlights of the menu were the chicken breast wrapped in chicken mousse and raw wagyu salad. The other items were fine but not quite memorable. I would suggest to skip the add on caviar since it does not add much for the cost. Wine is delicious. Service is decent. The team is small but efficient. The space is also small, and the restroom is in a different facility. Overall, the experience was pleasant. However, the price for my dinner including wines and add on is on par with one Michelin star places. And I find that a little over priced.“
“Deep-fried dumplingGrillled pork bellySeafood scallion pancakeOur waitress was really nice! She showed us how to eat pork belly with lettuce and actually stuck it in our mouth for us Standard family style restaurant. Lots of food options and very authentic We had dinner here a few times with our friends, sadly with them moved out of Cali I haven't been in a while. Cheers“
“Amazing food as always. Cool robots that bring out your food too! I love that it serves comfort food and alcohol at the same time rather than just bar food.Parking: Parking spots are tight if you have a big vehicle and usually crowded but people come and go very quickly so you can always find a spot opening up by circling around.“
“Nice hole in the wall spot for a busy plaza. We came by for a late dinner around 8:30PM. No one was there when we ordered, but halfway through our meal, a few other folks had dined in.We ordered two tofu stews, one beef and one seafood. Good tofu stews. Sides were good and staff was friendly to refill.Parking can definitely be busy during peak hours.“
“Happened upon the restaurant when we were on the hunt for good Korean BBQ. The atmosphere is understated, but food and service was amazing. Truly! The beef was so tender and the banchan was A+. There were 3 very kind employees (owners?) who were so attentive and made it a very enjoyable experience.“
“Food is great, late night availability is even greater. It's nice to have a place to go to late in the evening, especially one with a nice atmosphere as this. I've got no complaints about the food, but the service is on the slower side. Both times I went I averaged about a 30 minute wait between sitting down and my food arriving. If you're not in a rush, then the food is worth the wait.“
“I ate the pork set (jeongjeongsal + pork belly + seasoned pork neck)! It said it was for 2-3 people, but it was enough to feed 4 people. I was impressed because it felt like I ate it in Korea... and the price isn't that expensive.ㅡIt was so delicious that I went again the next day, and this time they also grilled kimchi next to the pork belly... It was really good.“
“I have been here several times. It is Korean BBQ and regular traditional food. I like the steamed eggs, fried rice and the rice cake.Nice side dishes ,and delicious beef smll intestine .If you are finding a place to gather with your friend or family,it is a good place!Btw, Korean aunties were really nice, they always came to check us if we needed something and helped us grill the meat:)“
“Dined in at Roll House today and it does not disappoint! It's called roll house for a reason because their rolls we amazing! So fresh and perfectly seasoned. The rolls were also huge (as seen in the picture) and there were tons of options. We tried the half and half and did a split of the spicy pork and veggie roll. I liked the veggie roll better because the seasoning on the pork one made the pork not taste like pork? We also ordered the spicy cheese tteokbokki with dumplings and blood sausage, as well as the beef short rib with rice and vegetables on the sizzling plate. The ribs were sooooo tender and flavourfull, but had a little too much cartilage on them. Portions here are huge but makes sense considering the price. Will definitely be back to try more rolls!“
“I've been eating here for a couple years and I've always enjoyed their food. I usually get the chicken chow mein but I've been changing it up sometimes. The fried meat dumplings were very good, especially in sweet and sour sauce, along with the egg rolls.“
“Nice small Korean takeout spot. It's never crowded when I go and they get the food out really fast. Place as limited seating and parking. The plaza is really popular. The food taste good with decent portions. It's in the cheaper side too. As a college student I like to go here. There's also a lot of desert places and a cafe near by too. It's p lowkey I don't know many people that go here and it's not busy.“
“4.5 STARS Unpopular opinion: Ketchup on eggs is BOMB! The way the sweet acidity cuts through the richness of the eggs got me feeling some type of way. I grew up eating it this way and never thought it got so much hate until several months ago. Just look on Reddit. What can I say, I eat like a 5 year old! Gilgeori toast aka Korean street toast takes it a step further...not only is there ketchup on eggs, there's mayo AND sugar. It may not be for everyone but if you love salty-sweet foods, it may hit for you. Sunny's To Go is an unassuming, hidden gem in Santa Clara's K-Town area. They're a mom and pop shop that's been open since 2016 (less than 40 reviews?!). I only noticed them when I was passing through and saw outdoor seating (same plaza as Dae Bak). They were formerly called "BBQ Lovers" and kept the old signage. There's a net screen in front of the door (keeps bugs out) so I thought they were closed but they're not. They're open for takeout and delivery. Everything is packed as takeout but there's some seating if you would like to dine-in. M E N U Korean fare and grab 'n go banchan. Catering available. F O O D * Gilgeori: K Toast w/ over easy egg, cheese, special jam ($6.75): --Add spam ($3.50) Korean street toast has been trending in the last several years yet it's so hard to find. There's different variations but it's usually griddled/toasted bread with an omelet, cheese, cabbage slaw, mayo, sugar, and ketchup. Sunny's homestyle take is an over easy egg with mozzarella cheese stuffed into a slice of fluffy soft white bread with a generous smear of sweet mayo (cut w/ condensed milk?) that's folded over. A pack of ketchup is provided on the side. Gotta add spam just cuz. The result? Hella delicious salty-sweet combo with an oozy, drippy yolk. Again, it may not be for everyone but we loved this! * CK Pop: Fried Chicken Bites w/ special Korean-style sauce (Small - $9): Hot and crunchy popcorn chicken bites coated in a yangnyeom style sauce - savory and spicy with a kiss of sweetness. “This would be my go-to spot for korean kfc if it wasn't so far from me. They have both wings style and also whole chicken. I prefer wings and yang nyum sauce but their original chicken is also very good. Soju and beer are served and the owner Peter and his staff tend very well to customers. Radishes cost extra, their chicken to-go still tastes divine and hits the spot for those cravings. Their tteokboki and sausage on sticks are delicious and tteokboki are crisp and served on skewers. Highly recommend!“
“Pretty tasty but only worth it if you have the money to spare! Glad I tried it, but I don't think I'd go there if I had to spend my own money. Many thanks to Jon's parents! Definitely enjoyed the sides too, make sure to eat up all the cool pickled dishes they give you.“
“Delicious food! The best Karen restaurant I highly recommend! I like their side dishes, and they are very tasty! And you can ask for more without additional fees. The waitress kept forgetting our requests for more side dishes, but overall the services are good here. I ordered Bibimbap but it’s cold! You need to order the one with the stone bowl if you prefer hot foods.“
“When I say this, i mean it. This is the best poacha in all of northern California. The service is so kind and the food is top quality. Everyone should try this place and continue eating here. Thank you to all the kind workers and serving high quality food!“
“Chicken ginseng soup was exactly what I was looking for on a cold day. Portion is enough for 2 people. A whole spring chicken with stuffed sticky rice. Chicken slightly on the dry side. The side portion of clear noodles was chewy. The menu is pretty small, specializing in chicken soup. Not too ideal for vegetarians.“
“To simply put it, this place is fantastic! From the ambiance and service to the food, I had a wonderful dining experience here. I've sampled a variety of dishes including beef tofu soup, octopus sotbap, bulgogi gimbap, beef tartare, and seafood kalguksoo, and I thoroughly enjoyed each one. The tofu soup had so much flavor unlike any other I've tried, the octopus sotbap was unique but delicious, and the kalguksoo noodles and soup were perfectly executed. I'm definitely coming back to try other items on the menu.“
“Always a favorite go-to for the comfort of Korean fried chicken wings & beer, while the sport games play on one of the many big TV’s. Music can be a hit or miss, sometimes it’s nostalgic American pop, other times it’s new & trendy K-pop. It definitely livens-up at night with their late hours. Food is always good here, highly suggest coming in a group because you just might be full before you know it!“
“This is my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in the Bay Area. The chicken is absolutely delicious and is super crunchy.I love the salad bar too. Not too many options but I love everything that they have. You can go up as many times as you like and get more salad and rice. The service is great too cause the folks working there are super nice. Please be patient with the staff though cause usually it's just one person that is directly helping customers. The one issue I had was the parking, but obviously that's not the restaurant's fault. We tried going on a Friday night but the parking lot was so packed. Plus the aisles were very narrow so we were stuck waiting to get out when two oncoming cars couldn't get past one another. We ended up leaving and coming back for lunch the next day and the parking was much better. Basically, I recommend going when it's not too busy.“
“I got the strawberry new york cheesecake with extra mochi on the side. If you don't like soybean powder I wouldn't recommend the mochi. The cheese cake itself was pretty cold/hard but as time passes and the longer you savor the cheesecake it becomes decadent. I loved the amount of fresh strawberries and there was a satisfying amount of condensed milk within the shaved ice as well. If you have a sweet tooth I would recommend getting extra condensed milk!“
“Food quantity ok but quality not worth the price.Long version: Ordered a combo of brisket, pork and tenderloin. Definitely enough food for 2. Around $50 per person. The meat quality is a little subpar.TBH I prefer 10 butcher, which only cost $20 more per person, but provides much, much better quality beef.“
“(Translated by Google) Overall, everything is okay, especially the tray jjajang and jjambbong are very delicious. The fry kitchen closes at 6:20 PM.(Original)전반적으로 다 괜찮고 특히 쟁반짜장, 짬뽕 아주 맛있습니다. 오후 6:20부터 튀김류 주방 마감입니다.“

“Hidden gem in Santa Clara. One of my favorite Korean BBQ places in the South Bay. Fast and efficient service, coupled with good quality meats (beef, pork, chicken, seafood) makes it a great experience every time. Can get smokey, though, so don’t wear your favorite outfit if you don’t want the smokey smell. Parking lot can get full, but there’s free street parking as well.“
“Wonton noodle soup so hefty and great value, could easily feed 2, and they did not skimp on the wontons. As a half chinese half korean, this place was perfect for me. Kimchi tasted like chinese influence too. Everyone was so nice, I love this place!“
“The Westfield mall location has an outdoor Koja Bar on the outside, which is a cool new feature that they have.As a chain that started from a food truck, I love eating their Koja, crispy rice buns with well-seasoned and flavored meat inside. One can order online, at the kiosk, or at a cashier, and their food is prepared quickly. The one downside is the use of plastic forks, but the rest of it arrives in compostable containers. The staff are really friendly and efficient!“
“We visited Beque Korean Grill in Korea Town, Santa Clara. It's an all-you-can-eat BBQ place we really enjoy. The food was alright. The meat quality was good, and it came with the usual Korean side dishes, all at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was very traditional.“
“I have been here many times over the years and it hasn't gone too downhill. Yes, the quality has taken a hit and the prices have gone through a steep increase, but it is still reasonable compared to the other soju bars in Santa Clara's Ktown. They have a nice selection of alcohol and offer soju in fresh fruits. I am partial to their coconut soju served in a coconut ? and the pineapple soju?.They have some basic side dishes on hand because who can go without kimchi for some of these dishes? but you have to ask for it. You may also want rice even though it could taste old but you're too drunk to care.I like their seaweed rolls with vermicelli because they fry it like spring rolls which is quite different from other places. I also recommend the spicy chicken with cheese and the seafood pancake. The kimchi fried rice is decent with the perfectly cooked egg but not the best. I don't recommend the army stew. It's hard to rate the service because it's not consistent. I do really appreciate the hours though, open until 2am everyday. It's popular enough that sometimes I have to wait for a table on a late night weekday. There are only a few spots in front of the store. The other spots are usually for the other stores unless they are closed. However, there is parking around the corner and in the back.“
“Kind staff, great food!Ssamjang and ssam(vegies) come as a default whereas you have to ask for them at some other korean bbq restaurants. It’s a bit pricey but the meat was tasty! Hansung galbi was very tender and delicious but ssaeng-galbi was a bit chewy.Cheese tteokbokki has a healthy taste(?) , no strong MSG style. And the cheese was sooo good!Staffs are so friendly but the pace of grilling was so fast that I had to eat in a rush somehow.Overall I ll def recommend Hansung BBQ to my friends!“
“Best Korean BBQ Experience In Nor-Cal. The staff here was down to earth and really friendly. The waiters are also cooking your meats for you while you sit back and watch while having a lovely drink. Huge fan of the corn with cheese. Ambiance was upbeat and fun for groups!“
“We ordered the army stew and fish cakes, two dishes made with cheap ingredients that I usually elect to cook at home because it just doesn't seem worth it to order at a restaurant, especially when sometimes they don't end up tasting that much better, if at all. However, I wouldn't mind paying for it here because they put it together well and it is convenient not to cook. The fried stuff we tried, gimmari and the seafood pancake were bland and had way too much batter. There was only one poor guy working the front but he really tried. The atomsphere is loud, dark, and we couldn't find him half the time. There are also black curtains around some tables and cardboard cutouts for kpop idols endorsing soju.“
“The building renovation was in progress. We ate in the restaurant about a week ago.Clean and very nice service with cares on details. There were separate room too.The food were so great and much better than other adjecent Korean restaurants in El Camino.Their price is cheaper than others, but the contents of each dish were great and tastes better.!!“
“I’m a sucker for a solid rice bowl/plate. This spot did not disappoint! Got their spicy pork and enjoyed their generous portions. Delicious seasoning/sauce with Gochujang and other good stuff. The owners are very passionate and attentive. Will be coming back!“
