“Tried the spicy combination suyuk, a hotpot with beef tendon, beef brisket, ox tail, etc., chives and mushroom. The soup base is tasty and the portion is generous with small kimchi dishes. Overall the beef is tender but not quite the premium beef quality we can get for hotpot in other places. The price is on the high side so we hope for more premium quality. Overall we enjoy the dish.“

This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true “if you know, you know” spots that locals swear by.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed.
The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char.
The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around.
Pairing these two together is a flavor explosion, comforting, savory, and perfectly balanced. Add in a scoop of rice and some kimchi, and it’s game over. 🔥

“One of the best place for soft tofu soup. It’s always wonderful to have a bow of hot soup on a cold day.

The place is not too big but can seat a good amount of people due to efficient seating arrangements and ordering system. They take your order before you get your seat so by the time you seat down your food comes out almost at the same time. They always provide a few side dishes as well so it’s great to sample on them before your actual meal.

Their menu includes soft tofu, varieties of meat, and other Korean dishes like bibimbap. Their price is decent but could be on the expensive side if you try some meat dishes. We paid about $54 total for two with two sold tofu bowls.“

I also recommend the fried dumplings; the sauce is so good! Prices are on the lower side so if you’re looking for a good bang for your buck, this is your spot!!“

“Tofu soups are ok. There quantity of tapas is a bit lower than Tofu Plus and King Tofu in comparison. The staff didn’t refill the emptied tapas dishes contrary to what the other restaurants would do. Prices are a bit higher too. Service is similar to the other two restaurants mentioned“

“We came here around 1:30pm on a Monday. The place is indeed very small inside but we were seated almost right away. The menu was VERY simple, which made it easy to decide what to order. We got beef bulgogi and kimchi fried rice with chicken. The food came out fast and it was tasty. Nothing fancy and no banchan typically served at a Korean restaurant. But it's good to have a simple but well cooked meal sometimes.“

“An amazing karaoke experience!

I came here with a group of friends, and we had an absolute blast. The private rooms were super clean, comfortable, and had great soundproofing — we could sing our hearts out without feeling self-conscious. The song selection was huge, with both English and Korean options (plus plenty of recent hits). The sound system was crisp, and the mics actually worked perfectly the whole night — which isn’t always the case at karaoke spots!

“On our way to Napa Valley today, we ordered tuna kimchi, original, shrimp, egg bomb gimbap, a crab roll, and an avocado Issac-style toast, and they were all absolutely delicious! You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients, and everything was perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was better than most gimbap places back in Korea.

The two staff members at the shop were incredibly kind—they made sure to pack enough chopsticks and tissues, and they even thoughtfully gave us a banana milk and some drinks for our child. We were so grateful!“

“Bob Sang Restaurant is a hidden gem near the Tesla plant in Fremont. So far, I've tried the Galbitang, Kimchi Jigae, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, and the latest is Seoul Style Bulgogi – really great with very tender marinated beef – tasty!

“All Von's Chicken are franchises so therefore not all Von's Chicken are the same. Von's Chicken on Saratoga in the Strawberry Center stands above many of the Bay Area locations with their cleanliness and high food standards. Beer and Alcohol pricing here is so good, it is like Happy Hour every hour they are open. The best part of this restaurant will have to be the owner/chef/cashier/doordash window pickup/bathroom cleaner/kind hearted person, Dominique (cool name for a Korean guy). “We had the best brunch ever at Giwa Dining. The decor, service, and food were all immaculate. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into the restaurant and into training staff. The food truly stood out and everything we ordered was spectacular: black sesame toast (recommend asking for more black sesame paste and sauce), truffle egg sando, sweet potato fries, and fried chicken. We’ll definitely be back for the souffle pancake and cheesy hamburg steak (dinner only).“

“Super authentic korean food. The place has an older crowd and a bit of a dated interior; but honestly, that’s usually a sign of authentic and delicious food.

The banchan (side dishes) were amazing. We liked them so much that we ended up refilling a few of them three times. The auntie seemed just a tiny bit reluctant by the third round 😅, but she still kindly brought more.

Highly recommend their new menu item, Kalbi Jim ($69). It’s a much better value compared to Kunjip. The portion is similar, maybe slightly smaller but enough for 2 people.

Service overall was friendly, and the experience felt very homey. Fair price with soondubu tofu soup at $18.99. The only small downside is that takeout boxes cost extra (around $0.50–$1), which is a bit unusual so removing a star.

“We did a pick-up order at bb.q chicken Apple Park today but decided to just eat it at the restaurant instead because we were so hungry. The person who was in charge of the cashier graciously offered us cups of water and service even if we had a take-out order. This location has always been amazing and the chicken itself (spicy original is our usual order) has been consistent throughout the 5+ years we've been coming here!“

“The moment I had a bite of the kimchi I knew that the quality of the rest of the food would be delicious. When we walked in for an early weekday dinner, we were warmly welcomed by Chris & Ashley.

We ordered the small pork backbone soup and the steamed egg cake. The meat was very delicious and came off the bone easily. However, the soup only came with one piece of potato, we wish there was at least one more.

Other than, the service from Chris was superb as he was really attentive and helped us to refill the bonchon.

I will say, the price was a little steep for the type of meat and ingredients and the menu was pretty well-thought out but random. Not so cohesive of a menu it felt. But I really appreciated the creativity and the fact that this restaurant is serving foods like smoked
chicken gizzards for the more refined palate; there were provoking plates that deserve applaud.

The wine pairing was worth adding. 3/4 pairings were outstanding.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made the whole evening feel a bit special without ever overdoing it. They'd given us a beautifully set table tucked away enough to feel a bit private, our server was warm and engaged throughout, and the food was honestly some of the best we've had in months. Every course came out perfectly cooked, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. We worked through a starter each, mains, and a shared dessert at the end, with the staff quietly bringing out a little candle for the birthday in the middle of our group without us having to ask. That gesture absolutely made the evening for the person it was for. The pacing of the meal was textbook — never rushed, never forgotten — and we had plenty of time between courses to actually talk to each other. “I became a fan of Woomihome after the second visit! Friends recommended Woomihome and I finally got to try it. I saw that they have meal kits, pre-made hearty soups, and side dishes. So far we have had spicy and sweet chewy noodles, steamed shishi peppers, yeolmu kimchi and braised beef in soy sauce. Everything we tried was tasty and did not disappoint. Woomihome has excellent customer service and it looks like it has a great system in place. The side dishes might be a tad bit pricier compared to Korean markets, but I can see that their quality and freshness speak volumes!“

They have so many different kinds of banchan, and they all tasted fresh and delicious. The hot stone bibimbap was good and not oily. We also ordered a kimchi pancake, I thought the flavor was good but since it was on the thicker side, so it lost a bit of the crunch and it was very filling. Overall, I like the food here and will definitely go back.“
