Ice cream is great but customer service needs improvement. It would help if employees had some training with hygiene. One server scratched her head with gloves and then continued with food prep. Servers should also tie back their hair if it’s long. Servers should be more presentable when it comes to food handling.
Bumping down my star because there is just one worker. I feel bad for them. They should hire more workers.
This is the dessert place to go to. I love getting a Nutella filled taiyaki wirh some cookies and cream ice cream! 10/10

SomiSomi is a popular dessert spot offering a unique experience. The menu features taiyaki, small fish-shaped waffles, and ah boong, a larger fish waffle with soft serve ice cream. Customers enjoy the ice cream flavors, with matcha and cookies n crème standing out as delicious choices. The beautiful presentation and nostalgic ambiance make it a great place to visit. There can be long lines outside the store, but the prices are considered fair, adding to the overall value.
Customers have praised the smooth, creamy, and distinctly flavored matcha ice cream, as well as the ice cream with red bean paste. The individual taiyaki is also delicious and served fresh. The upside-down taiyaki with Nutella or red bean filling, paired with any soft serve flavor, is a recommended combination. The contrast of the warm waffle and the soft serve ice cream is a treat, and the service is extremely quick.
While there is often a line during peak hours, it moves quickly, and the small storefront has plenty of seating outside. Customers have also enjoyed the black sesame taiyaki, which has a perfect mild sweetness, and the ube and matcha swirl soft serve, which is creamy and rich in texture.
