“Probably the best tasting tea flavor and also great chewy boba and boba ratio, main ding is just the extra $1-2 dollars per drink than even the next very expensive boba brands (like Molly Tea and Hey Tea). For that price performance it’s hard to justify going to Chi Cha instead of the fleet (Ume, TP) of delicious boba places at a cheaper price point. If they knock a dollar off it would be a 5 star offering!”

“This was a nice surprise because I do love the franchise. So when I came across this as we were walking through the shops, I had to stop. I always look at their swag, but they don’t have a lot in store. You can get more online. I thought it was odd that they had a hooded sweatshirt rather than a T-shirt during the summer, but maybe that’s popular in this area. I ordered a peanut butter cold brew, which was amazing. I think it’s a summer thing for a seasonal drink. It was very, very tasty. The restaurant itself for coffee shop that there be had seating inside and out, and this would be a place that I would frequent if I lived in the neighborhood.”

We ordered the Morning Thai Cioppino and the Pimped Up Ramyun, and both were excellent. The Morning Thai Cioppino had a bold, authentic tom yum flavor with just the right balance of spice and tanginess.

The Pimped Up Ramyun was a pleasant surprise. It definitely gave me instant ramen vibes, but in the best way possible. It was comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with much better ingredients than your average cup of ramen.

Alexander's Steakhouse 19379 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino Steak House • $$$$

“Alexander Steakhouse somehow managed to make an already beautiful restaurant even more stunning. Their recent renovation is absolutely gorgeous and gives the restaurant a sophisticated, elegant, and sexy atmosphere that every high-end steakhouse should have. The black leather seating, gorgeous crystal chandeliers, and the grand piano in the center of the dining room create such a luxurious ambiance. The redesign feels modern while still maintaining the warm, upscale feel that Alexander Steakhouse is known for.

My husband and I were just here two weeks ago celebrating our anniversary, so we couldn't wait to come back after the renovation reopened and it definitely did not disappoint.

The food was outstanding, just as we remembered. We ordered two filet mignons, the Hamachi Shots, several sides, and dessert, and every single dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Alexander Steakhouse continues to deliver both quality and consistency every time we visit.

A special thank you to our server, Jesus, who was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable without ever making us feel rushed.

From the gorgeous new look to the consistently amazing food and excellent service, Alexander Steakhouse continues to be one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. We had another wonderful evening and are already looking forward to our next visit.

“Came here for a casual date night on a Friday. Place was pretty empty for a Friday which meant we got seated right away, and staff was friendly throughout. Portions run small so plan to order more than you think you need. Still a great value. For the food itself:

The Dan Dan noodles are the move. Oily, salty, spicy, and the Sichuan peppercorns actually numb your face and stick around. Makes sense they're the most popular thing on the menu.

Chicken xiao long bao were good but the broth inside was weak compared to other places I've had them. Still good though.

Chicken potstickers were well executed, good crisp on the bottom, but nothing standout about them.

Sweet and sour cucumber was a solid starter and looked nice, but the slices were too thick to actually be able to rip out.

The egg fried rice is really good. Oilier than most but that's exactly why it works.”

Hui Lau Shan 19620 Stevens Creek Blvd Ste 190, Cupertino Dessert • $

“Hui Lau Shan in Cupertino is a classic Hong Kong-style dessert shop focused on fresh mango treats, specialty sweet soups, and traditional street-style snacks. Located right on Stevens Creek Boulevard, the interior has a clean, modern setup with bright lighting and comfortable seating that makes it a welcoming spot to drop in for a late-afternoon or evening sweet treat. Stacks of fresh mango boxes visible near the back immediately set high expectations for the quality of the fruit before you even step up to the counter to place your order.

The menu revolves almost entirely around fresh fruit, with mango taking center stage across various combinations of sago, coconut milk, and chewy mochi balls. The Pomelo & Mango with Sago was a standout dish during my visit, offering a great contrast between sweet mango, creamy coconut juice, and the slightly tart pop of fresh pomelo. Another favorite was the Mango Chewy Ball, which pairs cold sweet mango juice and fresh cut fruit with small, pillowy rice balls that add a satisfying texture to every bite.

Beyond the sweet bowl options, the hand-made snacks bring a nice variety to the experience. The mango mochi came out fresh with a soft, delicate outer layer wrapped around ripe mango chunks. If you want a savory break from all the sweetness, the spicy chili fish balls offer a springy texture with a solid kick of flavor that balances out the rich fruit desserts surprisingly well.

The ordering process at the counter was quick, and the service was prompt with food coming out shortly after sitting down. The dining space is kept clean and tidy, complete with thoughtful touches like wet wipes provided at the tables. It maintains a casual, low-pressure vibe whether you are stopping by for a quick drink like their iced lemon tea or sitting down with a group to share a few different bowls.

Overall, Hui Lau Shan delivers a vibrant and authentic Hong Kong dessert experience built on genuinely fresh fruit and well-balanced flavor combinations. The emphasis on real mangoes and chewy textures makes it a top choice when you want a refreshing alternative to standard ice cream or baked goods. It is the kind of place I would routinely pop into whenever I am in the area and craving a light, fruit-forward dessert.”

Izumi Matcha 19740 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino Coffee Shops • $

“I’ve tried matcha spots all over the U.S. bc I travel a lot for work, and somehow I always end up comparing them to Izumi. Honestly, this is still my fave.

The drink I got was super creamy and almost gave matcha tiramisu vibes, but it wasn’t overly sweet or heavy. You could still taste the actual matcha, which I really appreciate because so many places cover it up with milk and sugar. This felt like the perfect mix of Japanese matcha and a fun California café drink.

Also, watching them make it, I could tell it wasn’t a quick or simple order. There were a few steps and layers, and the person making it took their time even though they were busy. Kinda felt bad for ordering something so extra lol, but it came out perfect, so thank you!

Cute spot, really good quality, and still one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had anywhere. Def worth the wait”

“It's an alternative to Rooster and Rice which is basically the Thai style hainan chicken rice. What I like about Chicken Meets Rice is that it has more than one style of chicken in that it also has fried chicken but then tbh the whole point of these kind of food is the hainan chicken so I'd recommend the steamed chicken with chicken rice instead of the other stuff on the menu. Chicken is tender and flavorful and I prefer this style of hainan chicken over the Cantonese style.

This place also has other sauces (I love the spicy Singaporean sauce but it has a kick) in addition to the regular sauce.

You order through the kiosk and pick up at the other end of the counter.

This location is inside the small food court next to 99 Ranch and the food court is basically dying so I'm hoping it stays there. The noodle and the boba place pretty much died already. Service is good and courteous for a to go place.”

The potato dog? Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Everything was SO good and super filling.

“The rose ddeok-bokki is pure decadence, an absolute dream if you love creamy dishes. If you add cheese on top, the cheese gets that blowtorched, charred flavor. I love the chew of the rice cakes. The cabbage adds pops of sweetness to the dish and although it is cooked, it has a satisfying crisp to it. The fish cakes rounds out the dish with its savoriness. I do feel like it could be better with fresh green onion on top though. Nevertheless, it keeps me coming back.”

“We tried the Kimchi Beef with Rice and the Garlic Beef with Rice. Between these two, the Kimchi Beef has a lot more flavor. The kimchi is, however, far too salty. Add the Garlic Shoyu sauce at the table to bring out the Garlic Beef dish. Otherwise, it's relatively plain. The pork katsu with curry sauce was fine, though not remarkable.”

Our waitresses/server , Maya, was so pleasant and attentive to guests . Next time I go back I have to try their seafood selections. My only complaint is the location . It should be out there along Stevens Creek like in Santana Row rather than hidden in that dark corner of the complex. But definitely I will recommend it to my friends.”

“We had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant. From start to end the customer service was so accommodating and friendly. Our group had a tired toddler and the owner of the restaurant came to help find us accommodating seating for our group. He also came to take our orders and asked if our toddler had any known allergies to common allergens since there were some in the dishes on the menu. He additionally made recommendations on what would be good to order for our tot. As an stressed mama I so very much appreciated the care he put into connecting with us. On top of the amazing customer service the food blew us away. I had the hand pulled minced pork noodles. It was amazing and packed with flavor. We tried other dishes our table ordered like the beef noodles and everything was so delicious. We don’t ever expect to be accommodated for having a fussy toddler and would never request any accommodations either. However this was such an amazing experience from the moment we walked into the building to the moment we left. 10/10 would have easily came back for the customer service alone but the food itself would have made us come back again and again anyways. Thank you! We will be frequent repeat customers!”

“Smoothie is great. I got their strawberry avocado smoothie and it was great. It taste like they use real fruit and the yogurt adds a nice tartness. It is not too sweet.

But it took an hour to make because there’s so many people in the store and they have so many orders. You can also order online. You don’t need to order at the kiosk in the store. So I would recommend ordering ahead of time and then picking up when your order is ready.

There’s also 99 ranch nearby so it’s nice to go there and do grocery shopping while waiting for your order.

Parking is a little limited. The a lot is small. But people move in and out quickly, so I managed to park. If not, there’s a 99 Ranch nearby with a bigger parking lot.”
