“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“
“Went out with my cousin and my husband to this awesome hot pot restaurant.Great selections for broth (my favorite in the Garlic Miso), and several types of protein to choose from in regular or large sizes. Preferably regular as they give a good portion.Vegetables are automatically given along with your choice of rice, mixed rice, or noodles. Also has starters like Edamame, takoyaki, etc to name a few.Overall, really enjoyed the experience, would love to come here again!“
“Happy Lamb hot pot always hits the spot on a cold day. There is usually a wait (as with most hot pot restaurants) but they now use the Yelp waitlist function, which really helps for large groups. We always go for the split pot with half original soup base and half spicy- the spicy is that "ma la" type of spice that is a bit numbing. I do wish that the peppers in the spicy broth were put in a tea bag of some sort- I always inevitably scoop some into my bowl on accident. For add-ins, the mixed mushroom combo platter and the vegetable combo platter will give you a good variety of items. Also highly recommend the thinly sliced marbled lamb and ribeye meats. Their house made meatballs or fish balls are both delicious!“
“The four of us went here tonight for dinner. We were 25 minutes late but they seated us anyway. The parking lot looked pretty full but we managed to grab a spot. They had all our favorite Hot pot. Ingredients: shrimp paste, veggies, assorted tofu, a ginormous lamb and beef platter ring, etc. we really like the house special bone broth, but the spicy special House broth was pretty spicy.Service was really fast and efficient.Vibe was pretty young with club music playing in the background. We got a basket of deep fried pork which was apparently recommended but I was so full. I could hardly eat more than a few pieces.Overall great price would come here again.p“
“Came here for lunch on a Saturday and have to say that I enjoyed the experience! Upon entering you're asked how many people are in your party and if you're a party larger than 2+ know that it might be a longer wait for them to wait for the current eaters to finish for them to combine the tables. You then pick up a bowl with tongs and start choosing all of the items you want in your noodle dish from the noodles, veggies, to the protein. Then you pay for your meal based off of the weight of the bowl and the broth that you want. There are additional confidemtns that youc an add into a cup afterwards--which is nice that they don't take that into account prior to the weighing --this is for all those green onion lovers out there! ~~Parking: Located in the Milpitas parking lot across from Cisco with the 99 Ranch and a bunch of other restaurants/stores. Parking can be found depending on the time you arrive ~~Service: Fair! There's not much service to be done here, which is nice --most of the things are self serve and you pay prior to seating. ~~Best Part: You're able to choose what items you want in your noodle dish, so you can only blame yourself if there are things in the bowl that you won't eat or be able to finish. ~~Worst Part: Can be a little tight in the restaurant, but there's still enough space for you to be able to enjoy your meal. ~~Tips: Come with a party of 4 or less. ~~Return: Yes!“
“Interesting Chinese restaurant. Been there twice. A large selection of dishes - some very tasty, some for everyone. The portions are large (as was noted, many take two dishes for three), the price category is average, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite clean. The only thing that didn't please me was the toilet. I wish it was cleaner there. You can take food to go. I was pleased that they thoughtfully provided you with napkins, cutlery, and even fortune cookies.“
“Always a phenomenal time here. Constant quality of food and service. The only knock is it's a little smaller and not easy to accommodate larger parties. But the staff here is always amazing and as accommodating as much as possible. My favorite Shabu restaurant in the South Bay.“
“The food here is very good! They have so many different meat options to choose from, even if you do not eat pork or beef. The lamb and seafood are fresh. Stephen (Curry) was an awesome server and made sure we were always attended to and kept with new rounds of food on the table!“
“Today was my first visit here for hot pot, highly recommended by a friend, and it truly lived up to the hype. The taste is authentically that of a Chongqing hot pot, with richly flavored beef tallow and a medium spice level that packs a punch. The tomato broth was also exquisitely fresh. We ordered the American Wagyu, which had great marbling and tasted fantastic. I especially want to highlight the tripe platter, which includes a variety of tripe for a satisfying feast, as well as the cured sausage, which was delicious in the spicy broth. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner experience.“
“I think this place is very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing as well. There is nothing I would say is bad about this place. My mom brought me here as like a mother daughter date and I think it was a great choice. I see a lot of families eating here and celebrating. The service was great.Kid-friendliness: There are many kids that I have seen here.“
“Good hot pot place. We went for the $75 combo which has option of choosing 2 meats, 2 soups, 2 sides and noodles. Tom yum thai style soup was very tasty. For meat we took prime agnus flat iron. Meat was juicy and blended well with the soup. The combo also comes with 1 veggies tray with almost everything in it. We did not find option for crabs here. And also fish eggs were alright. I will definitely visit again.“
“This is my first time visiting and trying Taiwanese food. I fairly impress with the vegetarian style noodles and chicken wings. I did absolutely love the chicken wings, rest flavor profile. The service and atmosphere was excellent, it was during work time and we completely forgot the work because it was that good.“
“Regular spot when I'm in the bay. Long wait time is normal during dinner. Just make sure you check and join the waitlist on yelp. Lots of options for AYCE. The food came out insanely fast just a couple of minutes after taking the order with the pad.Lastly, it's 2024 and still a bunch of uneducated peeing on toilet seats #SMH #animals“
“I have indulged in a late lunch at Tabu Shabu twice. The staff did a great job of describing the options and preparation process, after learning it was my first visit. They checked in several times to ensure things were going well and offered advice. There are a variety of protein options and the vegetables gave "farm to table vibes." The meat was high-quality and the ponzu dipping sauce was delicious.Parking: The parking directly in front of the restaurant is small and crowded.“
“A solid four stars for this hot pot restaurant. The entrance looks impressive and the seating area looks nice as well, but there are some areas of the restaurant that don't look as on theme. The items are ordered a la carte and somewhat expensive, but there is a lot of variety in beef and lamb. My favorite was the beef rib eye. They have an extensive sauce bar with snacks like sesame balls.“
“Happy Lamb Hot Pot is always a great experience, and this location is no exception!Great broth options and fresh meat cuts! Great sauce bar( comes with an additional cost)Go with your friends and enjoy the hot pot! After that walk outside in the closed street to experience great selections of cafe and dessert places!“
“3.5 STARS Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024 Time: 3pm Meal: Birthday Late Lunch / Early Dinner Part of: 6 Reservation Made: via Yelp about 1.5 weeks earlier Dinner BBQ & Hot Pot ($37.99) x6 *Japanese Miso *Healthy Herb x2 *Thai Pot: Vegan Spicy x3 *Pork Belly x2 *Ribeye x4 *Spicy Pork Belly *Pork Belly x2 *Pork Jowl x2 *Garlic Shrimp x2 *Galbi Marinated Short Rib x6 *Seapot Angus Beef x2 *Beef Tongue *Steam Rice x3 *J Lohr Cabernet 2019: 375ml ($23) *Sapporo Pitcher ($25) *Original Bottle Soju ($13) *Peach Bottle Soju ($13) *18% Tip ($54.35) For a friend's bday, we decided to do a late lunch at Seapot. I believe on weekends they are open all day and the dinner price applies all day as well. Tip was automatically added to the bill, but I think that was because we were a party of 6? I do adore Seapot for their conveyor belt offerings. I tend to like variety. And I gravitate towards a lot of veggies and seafood. So it's nice they are readily avail in small portions. I don't feel like I have to eat a portion of veggies for the whole table if no one else wants some. Also, super convenient since we don't have to wait for the server to bring those items out. Meat wise (and some seafood), you have to order thru the server. And there's a time limit of 90 mins. Unfortunately this took a while, so we were only able to order one round before the server came back for last call. For bigger parties, they should give two hours as that's not enough time to cook and eat everything. (We still had uncooked plates when they came back for last call.) There's only one grill at a table for 6. It's definitely not enough time to get your korean bbq on. For an AYCE place, this was one of the first times I didn't really leave full. Drinks wise, we had a red wine drinker, so we tried to order a bottle of red wine. The first bottle, they were out, so I asked about two other bottles. They were out of those too. He could only offer a bottle we didn't want, so we ended up with a half bottle of something we originally asked about. Corkage here is $25, while the average bottle was around $40-$50, so it didn't seem worth it to cork anything. I think if we had a smaller party, it would have been fine. But for a larger party, I don't think it's worth coming here. The time limit isn't really enough to take advantage of the AYCE.“
“The savory broths and solid meat cuts offer a delightful shabu shabu experience that's well worth the wait in line. All you can eat was reasonably priced for the quality, the atmosphere is simple yet inviting. Service is efficient and friendly, ensuring a satisfying dining adventure“
“Hits the spot every time. My wife and I frequent this restaurant and bring friends and family often as well. They never disappoint us. I have yet to completely finish a regular (generous) portion, but I also order the Ramen noodle extra. We prefer the Beef and Tomato soup but have tried others and they are also good. Each bowl/pot comes with a plentiful assortment of veggies, seafood and meat. They even have boba tea and it's great!“
“Went for lunch with a friend today. We didn't have to wait for a table but the restaurant was packed. It wasn't too noisy except for when the tables on both sides of us talked to each other in really loud voices. The service was excellent and the food was very good. You can eat as much as you want. ?“
“Been there a couple of times in the last few weeks and Sebastian always gives us a warm welcome with a very cheerful smile and gets us a quick walkthrough of the available options ( barbecue, hot bowl etc) and once its our turn (highly recommend checking in online via the Yelp reservation) we get to the table and are ready to eat some yum and delicious KBBQ.The hosts/servers have always been phenomenal. Once you get to the table, you can walk over to the sauce station placed towards the end next to the kitchen to gather a few of your choice. I usually end up ordering a lot of sea food options (calamari, octopus, salmon, shrimp etc) and keep repeating the same to my heart's content. I have been told the other options with beef are very well prepared as well and all in all its just an amazing experience which i would definitely recommend!!!“
“Saw this on my Yelp since I tried another Hotpot place. This restaurant used to be TK noodle so it is a good size. The decor is really cute and even has a mural of the top of mission peak and parts of the city. Staff were friendly and helpful explaining things to my son and I about how things work. They have 3 types of AYCE which I think is a really good deal.We chose the second option which was $39 per person. It includes everything in all the refrigerators, skewers, veggies, sliced meat, seafood, noodles and many other various things. They have a lot of soup base options as well as some unique drinks. The quality of the food was really good and we ate until we were totally stuffed.I will definitely go back and suggest you try it out too if you are in the area.“
“Ok, we need some attention for this place. Drove past it once and was attracted by their northern Chinese style food menu. A group of my Chinese friends tried this place and it's amazing! The seasoning of the skewers really hit the spot of my childhood memories. I like their tofu, peppers, not a big fan of the lamb skewers tho. But I really like the lamb rib stew, this was really really good and rare to find here in the US. They have Napa cabbage and Konjac cake inside as well. The tea they served was jasmine green, which also tastes pretty good.“
“I've been a regular at Haidilao for quite some time now, and I can always rely on their impeccable service and delicious food. Abel, our server, deserves a special mention for being consistently attentive and on point with his service. Whether it's recommending dishes or ensuring everything is just right, Abel never disappoints. It’s like he reads my mind! The food here is always of consistent quality, making every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving a fantastic dining experience!“
