“Went with 5 other friends and it was a great experience. Cuts of meat are good and its a true all you can eat. I don't think I've ever left a hotpot restaurant full before.
It also has the usual sauce bar and a conveyor belt that has a bunch of extras for the soup“

“Don't let the parking lot fool you- this place is AWESOME inside!
They have a LARGE selection of ingredients to choose from for your hot pot as well as fruit, cake and freshly made ice cream for dessert. Drinks are included in the buffet price.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and explain things well. This was important for us as we had never been to a hot pot place before so we had no idea what to do😂.
They are open 7 days a week with lunch and dinner buffet. Call for hours and prices. We had lunch on a monday and before tip for 2 of us it was $44.95.
Definetly recommend!“

“Beyond average but missing some to push it to GOAT territory. The dining experience is very Chinese, from the way you order to how they structure the menu to how the dishes are served I feel like I'm back in PRC. Which could be good or bad depending on person. I ordered the signature spicy noodle combo. I agree with other reviewers that the noodles are the weakest link they are way too soft and wimpy. The soup base is good with the distinct spicy profile but the ingredients in there doesn't really get the taste integrated, they all just fell flat. Prices are on the slightly expensive side but portions are big, two people of average appetite could easily share a combo, and they have a condiments aisle you can add cilantro peanuts or whatever unlimited. Kinda weird for the noodles tho since they are already heavily seasoned, it's more of a hotpot thing. But I added some fried peanuts into my noodles nonetheless. Service was OK and vibe is family / locals.“

“we've been 3 times in the past few months and every time was great. we went the day after my wife's birthday, the same day our pet passed, and the staff made it a very special experience and distraction from our loss. absolutely recommend 110%. great food, great people, great experience overall.“
“Had an awesome time at Happiness Hot Pot! The flavors are bold, the veggies and meat are super fresh, and the broth is just perfect. Great vibe, friendly staff, and everything just makes you feel happy while eating. Definitely coming back for more! 🍲❤️“

“if you're looking for a well-rounded hot hotspot, then this is the place because they have amazing options for meats, veggies, and sauces! Most importantly for me in determining if a spot is fire would be the soup base - which this place has really good ones. at first, I was pretty skeptical about the tea being infused with my soup but if you are a spicy lover like myself you know the feeling of feeling really bloated or heavy after a meal with the spicy soups. because there's tea in views, I feel like it cuts out some of the fat, and it makes your meal that much more enjoyable.
their service is attentive and quick/their ordering workflow is through the qr code which cuts out the time of waiting. The downside I've noticed after coming here a couple times is that sometimes they do run out of stuff (meats/noodles/veggies) but for the more popular options it has been consistently available.
10/10 would recommend this spot for friends/couples/solo dining. I think the place is a bit smaller so sometimes fitting a stroller and or smaller kids might be harder but doable.
there's no private parking lot, but there are a lot of public parking lots nearby - thats short distance and street parking as well.“

“Great hot pot experience! The price was $34.99, which felt reasonable for the variety and quality. The soup base was flavorful, and the dipping sauce went really well with everything. They also offered a drink for writing a review, and the drink was very refreshing — it paired perfectly with the hot pot, especially while eating something warm and spicy. Overall, a satisfying meal and a nice place to come with friends.“

“This is one of the closest hotpot place to Stanford. We chose a two-person package for $89, including 2 bobas, two plates of beef, one plate of lamb and seafood, one plate of noodles and vermicelli, one plate of tofu, and one sweet. That's more than enough food but we finished it!Unique small individual pot, only wish it was sunk in the table. It has the basic sauces and spices, wish there is more.“

“Chi Xiao Guo seems to be gone. Now it’s Liu Yue Teppanyaki Cuisine. They don’t sell hot pot in summer, but the Teppanyaki cuisine is also delicious. It’s very similar to the signature Teppanyaki Noodles at Taiwan’s night markets. Love! Definitely will come again : )“

“After visiting so many hot pot restaurants, I still prefer this place. They have renovated it again, giving it a unique charm. The service is friendly, the environment is clean, and the quality of the dishes is excellent. I have been here many times. Today is my daughter's birthday, and she asked for hot pot. I brought her here, and she also loves it.“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. Overall my chakra levels increased and I can now go on to master spinjutsu! We love you Tecca! 10/10“

“Mala Town is hands down one of the best spots for Sichuan dry pot in Union City! You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and prices are fair for the quality.
The medium spice has a nice kick, but if you love heat, go for the higher levels—it’s legit spicy! Service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving bold flavors and want a fun, shareable meal.“

“Little Sheep broke up their company and now there are various Happy Lambs under new ownership - some are not so good - this one is excellent and worth the trip - Id say its even better than rhe original Little Sheep on Stevens Creek which eventually turned into a Happy Lamb but was very sub-par and is now gone - stick with this one in Mt View. Avoid the ones in Boston (see my other review). Come off hours or you’ll be in line forever.“
“The soup is very delicious and traditional. That’s a nice experience when I am homesick during my long term business trip here.“

“If you are into spicy hotpot, this is the best tasting place in the Bay Area I have found so far. The service can be slow if it’s crowded, and the environment is average. But who cares? We are here to eat some good food, not stare at the decoration.“

“We love this place! We’ve been here a few times, and the food never disappoints us. The restaurant is very spacious with a large variety of food. The flavor is very authentic. Malatang tastes great and comes with plenty of meat and veggies. I highly recommend the brown sugar rice cakes.“

“I recently tried Mala Town 麻辣烫, and it was a fantastic experience. The best part is being able to customize your own bowl — you pick exactly what ingredients you want, from fresh vegetables and tofu to different meats and noodles. Everything tasted very fresh and the variety of options was great.
The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. It had that authentic Sichuan-style mala flavor — numbing, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. You can also adjust the spice level, which makes it great whether you prefer mild or extra spicy.
The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized, making the whole experience very comfortable. It’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Chinese comfort food.
Overall, Mala Town is a great place for flavorful, customizable mala tang. I’ll definitely be coming back!“
“I do not like Chinese food - usually too oily. But THIS food is AWESOME for me! Especially the hot sour soup (perfect tang) and the Fried rice (light and fluffy, delicious flavor). Also great was the orange chicken (not too sweet) and he sauce on the broccoli was so buttery(?). I WILL order again. Union City.“

“There are quite a few repetitive hot pot ingredients, it would be nice to have more variety. The overall flavor is fine. However, the extra meat slices I ordered weren’t very impressive, they were just boiled and completely unseasoned. It seems they’re meant to be eaten with the hot pot but it would be better if they were served together with the hot pot instead.“

“Price is $15.99/lb with the many options for the broth. Malatang has gotten very popular recently and feels similar to hot pot. You get a decent amount of food if you only eat 1 lb of food.
The space in the restaurant is on the smaller side, but the wait time is short. You grab a bowl and go down the line while picking up the ingredients you want into your bowl. At the end, the cashier weighs the bowl to determine how much to pay.
Wait time for them to cook the food and bring it out to you is very quick, which helps bring down the wait time. I enjoyed the beef broth but spice level was high for me personally at the mild level.“

“Highly recommend the signature sauerkraut fish soup. Broth is full of flavor and they give a decent amount of fish slices plus other ingredients. They have an option for two portions in a larger bowl that’s cheaper than ordering two separate portions, if you’re willing to share from the same bowl.“

“Absolutely the best all you can eat in buffet the area! So far I have been there over 10 times and not once did I receive anything less than superb quality of food and service. Every crew member here is super friendly, warm and efficient. The price is very reasonable for all-you-can-eat, considering the area it is located in. It’s always busy and usually there is a line during peak hours, but the wait is definitely worth it. Highly recommend anyone to try and become their new customers!(not that they need it since their business is already absolutely booming lol)“

“Very authentic sichuan food. Good value in terms of portion and price. The owner is a very sweet lady is super friendly. She taught the secret of having spicy food. Should ask her about that next time when you visit.
Spicy fish fillet and the suchuan noodle are my favorite in this place.“
