We were trying bonda soup for the first time, so we don’t know what to compare it to. But we weren’t impressed. The Bonda ‘batter’ separated from the fried crust on putting it in the soup. There are two sizes so be sure to clarify which one you want. The price is fairly expensive compared to other places but its worth it. “Updating my older review: I've been coming here for years, since it's a reliable place with fair prices and quality food. (Sometimes I eat here once a week when I'm in town for work). In recent months, though, I've noticed a subtle change. The tomatillo soup (a longtime favorite) is now thinner, with less flavor. I've still been ordering it, but it's not what it was. And now, tonight, the bowl had substantially less soup- about 3/4 of what it usually is. And I also noticed the burrito was a little bit smaller. I'm always satisfied and don't get hungry for the rest of the night after eating here, but not this time. Shrinkflation? Hmmm. I give 4 stars, but I hope they continue the great quality and portions that I've grown to rely on at Aqui.
