And OMG it was one of the best interms of making it taste like home but yummy. The balance is what's amazing..usually restaurant food is oily and heavy. “I went to Jun bistro a few times. It's a cute resturant with a unique theme and it is nicely decorated inside.

I had the mushroom truffle rice and beef noodle a few times. I love them both. The broth is light and flavorful. While the beef is juicy and tender. And for the mushroom rice. They give a generous amount of mushrooms. Overall, the dishes there are all so flavorful in each bite. The one that stood out was the Chinese donut and pate. I didn't know you could pair them together. I'll definitely order those again!

Overall, staff are very friendly there. There's a great variety of food. A great way to try Yunnase dishes! I look forward to coming again and trying their other dishes!“

The restaurant is fairly small and cozy, so it can get crowded and warm during busy hours, and you should expect a wait. When you first walk in, you’ll notice shelves filled with takeout orders, which shows how popular the spot is but can make the dining area feel more like a busy takeout operation. The dining experience is simple, but the food more than makes up for it. Definitely a great hole-in-the-wall sushi spot in the Bay Area.“

“I feel like this place is a hidden gem. If I lived closer, I would get it all the time!

I like how simple and easy it is to build your own bowl. I typically get the regular three scoops because it’s filling enough with all of the toppings that I end up getting I appreciate the fact that they don’t charge you extra for avocado.

The parking situation is pretty easy at this restaurant too because it’s located in a strip mall, but there’s plenty of parking spots.

The seats inside establishment aren’t the most comfy because they’re pretty thin plastic chairs, but at least there’s a cushion on them.“

“I recently visited Idly Express and had a wonderful experience. Medhu Vadai is my all-time favourite, and during my pregnancy I’ve been craving it a lot—so I was really excited to try it here. It did not disappoint! The Medhu Vadai was absolutely delicious, and the veg biryani was equally amazing.

The staff were very sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty and comforting food.“

“I have lived in Milpitas for 3 1/2 years now, and only recently 'discovered' this hidden gem right at the end of the street I live on!!! Their menu is varied enough to have a great selection, but not so much that it's overwhelming. The minute you enter their diner, you're greeted with a warm Good Morning or Good Afternoon! The staff is very attentive and friendly; we felt like members of the family from our first visit! The food is priced fairly, which is hard to say about almost any other restaurant I've been in lately, and, it is delicious! There you have it...Welcoming, friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food, priced fairly. A recipe for success, obviously since they've been there for over 20 years! “We ordered the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, beef chow mein, garlic naan, grilled lamb chops, lamb skewers, and baked buns.

As someone from Henan, I thought the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles tasted somewhat similar to the style back home, and overall it was probably the best dish we had this time. The garlic naan was decent, and the lamb skewers were also okay.

However, the grilled lamb chops were disappointing. The meat was way too tough and almost impossible to chew. After we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly removed the dish from our bill, which I appreciated.

Later, we also ordered beef chow mein and baked buns. The beef chow mein was pretty average. As for the baked buns, it did seem like there was more meat filling than before, but the flavor was different from what I remembered. They weren’t as fragrant, didn’t have much juice inside, and overall tasted a bit dry, so they weren’t really to my taste.

Overall, the food here feels different from when the restaurant first opened, and I’m not sure if the chef has changed. Based on the dishes I tried this time, I’d say the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles are still worth trying, but I’d be cautious about ordering the other dishes. I also visited the Mountain View location for lunch, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that one either, since they didn’t have stir-fried noodle dishes and only offered soup noodles.“

“Tried Curry Pizza House recently, It's a small dine-in space with limited seating, so we opted for takeout instead.

We placed our order online for a large half-and-half pizza--one side butter chicken (their popular pick) and the other malai chicken. The ordering process was smooth, and our pizza was ready right on time, which made the experience super convenient.

For our first visit, we wanted to try their signature curry pizzas, though they do offer traditional options as well. We also added desi garlic sticks from their small plates menu--they have quite a good variety of sides and wings if you're looking to explore more.

Coming to the food:
* The butter chicken pizza was definitely the star. The curry base was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and it was generously loaded with toppings.
* The malai chicken pizza was decent, but slightly on the sweeter side for my taste. My husband, however, really enjoyed it.
* The desi garlic sticks were good overall--they had a noticeable pesto flavor, though I wish the garlic was a bit more prominent. Still, something I'd order again.

The location is pretty accessible, and depending on the outlet, you'll usually find plaza-style parking nearby, which makes pickup easy and hassle-free.

Overall, it was a decent experience. While I enjoyed parts of the meal, I'll probably take my time before going back, as I'd like to explore other pizza spots that serve similar curry-style pizzas.“

“Dakao sandwiches has been around for over 30 years maybe 40. Decor is probably original. Anyway banh mi sandwiches are generally good. Expect to pay 7 dollars for a standard banh mi. They use a 10 inch narrow baguette. Filling is ok but uneven. Buy 2 and it's still less than what you would pay for a sandwich from a deli or sandwich shop.“

“This is hands down one of the best North Indian buffet places in the Bay Area! With stylish interiors and a warm, inviting ambiance, this place is definitely not to be missed.

I visited during lunch with a few friends, and we were wowed by the variety of food options. The naan was served fresh, and everything we tried tasted really good.

I also catered food from them for my spouse’s 50th birthday party, and the food was a huge hit with all our guests. Everything was delivered on time and tasted perfect.

For appetizers, we ordered Dahi Bhalla, Achaari Paneer, and Gobi Manchurian. For the main course, we had Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, and Paneer Lababdar, along with Naan and Lachcha Paratha. We also ordered Moong Dal Halwa for dessert.

The Dahi Bhalla was a super hit! Several guests said it was hands down the best Dahi Bhalla they had ever had at a restaurant. All the other dishes were equally delicious and received lots of compliments.

Overall, whether you’re looking for a great North Indian buffet or catering for a party, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be ordering from them again!“

We had no cash to tip, + they barely had any conversation with us, then continue to ask why we didn’t tip and if the service was anything wrong with the service x2? We were going to tip regardless, but it was kind of pressuring to ask for a tip when we weren’t greeted or treated in any genuine manner + rushing everything + the food was rushed as well. dumplings came out raw, soup was warm, and the meat hard. we ended up tipping anyways but it could’ve just been a bad night. that’s okay.

This is my third time dining at Sushi Umami, and I’ve had a wonderful experience every time. I finally had to write a review because this place truly deserves the recognition!

The restaurant has a beautiful, elegant atmosphere, with tasteful decor, clean wooden tables, and cozy sofa booths. We were seated in one of the booths this time, which made our meal even more relaxing.

I especially love the beautiful tableware. Every plate, little bowl, and even the tiny sake cups is thoughtfully chosen and absolutely charming. Paired with the fresh, delicious food and beautiful presentation, everything is a feast for both the stomach and the eyes!

We particularly enjoyed the Truffle Hamachi, Uni Amaebi Don, Sake Steamed Clams, Sashimi Box, Omakase Nigiri & Sashimi, Double Toro Roll, and Triple S Roll. The staff were also friendly, gentle, and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout the meal.

With its delicious food, lovely atmosphere, warm service, and reasonable prices, Sushi Umami offers an all-around wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Milpitas!“

“Great place for malatang style eating where you select your own food and portion. I love eating the vegetables there so I choose all the veggies I love to eat only. They also have a number of meat that are pretty good for your soup as well. It feels like you go shopping and they cook for you.

Once select your food and select your soup type that you want, they will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Medium spicy can be a bit spicy for some people so choose wisely.

Depends on how much you get but it could range from $15-22/person. I normally get about 1 pound of food which costs around $20. There is not much service since it’s pretty much self service.

The place is fairly clean and decent. Could be cleaner but not bad considering the traffic.“

“I went in for lunch at 12 on Tuesday. It was just me and there was no wait. The ramen was pretty decent. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but better than average. I've tried most of the top spots in the bay area (Ramen Dojo, Ramen Parlor, Ramen Nagi, Marufuku, HiroNori etc.). I had the Tonkatsu Ramen, with Kale noodles, and Spicy Sauce on the side. Overall it was a solid ramen and I could see myself going back in the future since I work nearby. Prices are standard, and service was good. You order at your table with a tablet. Like others have said, its a small place so probably not a good idea to go with a large group.“

“Went to ok noodle for lunch around 1:30, walked in and we were the only customer which was odd. The gentleman helped us setup but you mainly order from your phone. I’ve seen from the search that everyone gets the chili noodles which I couldn’t find on the app. I had to order it personally from the waiter which was weird. The food came out fast with my buddy getting the lamb which he said had a real strong lamb flavor that was overpowering. The chili noodles were okay, nothing special. The chili wonton which I was wonton in chili sauce but in reality it was wonton in a soup. Overall not the best place for “pulled noodles” but not the worse, I’ll say it’s OK.“

“Wow the sauce bar is one of the best I’ve experienced in the states. We came here with a group of friends and it was so much fun! The broth is really good and all the ingredients were presented really well. You can get a huge mix of mushroom platter, meat platter and even intestines.

The interior is bright and nice. This place is good for group dinners, though there is a lot of standing up to reach for things to make sure it doesn’t spill everywhere.

“I’ll admit I almost skipped this place. I’d seen a few recent reviews complaining about slow service and inconsistent food, so I went in with pretty low expectations. Glad I gave it a shot anyway, because none of that matched my experience at all.

Started with the spring rolls and vada bao, both really solid. The spring rolls were crisp, not greasy, and the vada bao had good spice balance without being overwhelming. For mains I got the manchurian sizzler, and it’s easy to see why people talk about their sizzlers specifically. It came out sizzling at the table, sauce was well balanced, not overly sweet or drowning in cornstarch like manchurian can sometimes be. Paired it with the chilli garlic noodles, which were probably my favorite part of the meal. Good char on the noodles, garlic flavor actually came through instead of being an afterthought.

What stood out most was how fresh everything tasted. Nothing felt like it had been sitting around. As someone who prefers vegetarian spots around bay area, it’s genuinely hard to find places that make food this flavorful without leaning on meat as a shortcut for depth.

Service was attentive the whole time, no long waits, no mixed-up orders, nothing that matched the complaints I’d read. Maybe they’ve tightened things up recently, or maybe I just caught them on a good night, but either way this was a genuinely good meal.

Definitely recommend giving this place a shot, especially if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or looking for Jain-friendly options in the area. Hidden gem, will be back!!“

“If you’re looking for comforting Korean food in the South Bay, Hansang Tofu in Milpitas is definitely worth a visit.

I tried both the seafood soft tofu soup and the Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew), and everything was satisfying. The soft tofu in the seafood soup was incredibly silky and delicate—exactly what you want from a great Sundubu-jjigae. While I personally found the seafood soup base at Shin’s Tofu House to be a bit heartier and more intensely flavorful, the version at Hansang Tofu was still absolutely delicious and something I’d happily order again.

The real standout for me was the Budae Jjigae. I actually prefer Hansang Tofu’s version because they don’t skimp on the ingredients. The pot was generously loaded with meats, vegetables, noodles, tofu, and all the good stuff, making every bite hearty and satisfying. It felt like a complete meal with plenty of variety in every serving.

Another thing that impressed me was the banchan. Hansang Tofu offers a wider and more craveable selection than many Korean restaurants I’ve visited. The tofu banchan was especially delicious, and the seasoned potatoes were so good that I kept reaching for more. Those little side dishes really elevated the entire meal.

Overall, Hansang Tofu delivers comforting Korean food with generous portions, excellent banchan, and one of my favorite Budae Jjigae dishes in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back.“
