Service was amazing! The waitress would refill our water frequently and the food was great! The tofu was perfect and tasted really good. The noodle dish and the hangover hearty broth soup was very clean tasting and very good. The tables weren’t sticky either, seems like it’s kept pretty clean.
I would recommend this restaurant and will likely come back to try other dishes and get the signature fried tofu again!”

We got to try a few flavors at a wedding expo with Wedgewood Weddings, and then Renisa (the owner) invited us to her brick and mortar store in Milpitas to try anything we wanted before we booked with her. She’s constantly changing the flavors available at the store, and made an effort to guarantee that we would get the ones we were especially excited about on the day of our wedding. We also had a couple noodles: spicy beef noodle and spicy lamb noodle. Both were great but I think the lamb is more special. The service is hospitable. The only downside is that the man's bathroom was half broken and filthy unfortunately at the time of our visit, which kind of ruined the magical taste of the food itself. But, I think getting hung up on that would be misleading. I hope to come back and try other dishes!”

You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!”

“I stopped by Ume Tea and tried one of their fruit milk drinks, it’s the mango cloud and it was absolutely delicious! The drink was refreshing, creamy, and packed with real fruit pieces. The presentation was beautiful, and every layer blended perfectly together.

The shop itself is clean, cute, and welcoming, with a fun atmosphere that makes it a great place to grab a treat while shopping. It’s located in the Great Mall, so all the better. The staff was friendly, and my drink was made quickly despite how busy it was.

If you enjoy unique boba and fruit tea creations, Ume Tea is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!

“Great place for malatang style eating where you select your own food and portion. I love eating the vegetables there so I choose all the veggies I love to eat only. They also have a number of meat that are pretty good for your soup as well. It feels like you go shopping and they cook for you.

Once select your food and select your soup type that you want, they will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Medium spicy can be a bit spicy for some people so choose wisely.

Depends on how much you get but it could range from $15-22/person. I normally get about 1 pound of food which costs around $20. There is not much service since it’s pretty much self service.

“I first met the owner just prior to their official opening. He stated that they would be having fresh, homemade food there; especially and finally, breakfast tacos as well. After awaiting for them to open, I came back and ordered 1 carne asada taco. Afterall; that is the starting point to what can lead to a great menu. Yes it certainly was delicious. I chose to have only one topping as to get the true flavor of the meat. It was juicy and very flavorful. My second and last time I visited was a couple of days prior to this writing. This time I ordered the California Burrito and two Breakfast Tacos. Both of which not only met my expectations, but surpassed it. The owner even threw in a bonus item, a Breakfast Quesadilla. That was the favorite item of my lunch that day. I always do what I can to go out and support small, independent businesses, especially in my own community. Los Jefes Taqueria is a definite place to try out and then you will be back when craving that taco or burrito.”

I visited during lunch with a few friends, and we were wowed by the variety of food options. The naan was served fresh, and everything we tried tasted really good.

I also catered food from them for my spouse’s 50th birthday party, and the food was a huge hit with all our guests. Everything was delivered on time and tasted perfect.

For appetizers, we ordered Dahi Bhalla, Achaari Paneer, and Gobi Manchurian. For the main course, we had Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, and Paneer Lababdar, along with Naan and Lachcha Paratha. We also ordered Moong Dal Halwa for dessert.

The Dahi Bhalla was a super hit! Several guests said it was hands down the best Dahi Bhalla they had ever had at a restaurant. All the other dishes were equally delicious and received lots of compliments.

Overall, whether you’re looking for a great North Indian buffet or catering for a party, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be ordering from them again!”

I absolutely loved the food, especially the Muntamasala, Podi Idly with sambar, Bangalore Puddina Masala Dosa, and the Chala Punugulu and Mirchi bijji. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The podis were absolutely amazing—truly one of my favorite parts of the meal. 😍

The food brought back so many memories of India. If you are from the South Indian or Telugu community and are missing authentic Indian flavors, this is definitely a place to try. 🇮🇳❤️

“I recently visited Taishoken Ramen and had an enjoyable dining experience overall. We ordered the regular ramen, the spicy ramen, and the chicken karaage.

The regular ramen was the standout of the meal. The broth was rich, well-balanced, and full of flavor, making it both comforting and satisfying. Every component complemented each other well, and it was a bowl I would gladly order again. The spicy ramen, however, fell a bit short of my expectations. While it certainly delivered on the spice level, the heat overwhelmed the broth, making it difficult to appreciate the depth of its flavor. I would have preferred a better balance between the spice and the overall taste of the ramen. The chicken karaage was excellent. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and made for a great appetizer alongside the ramen.
I had a positive experience and would happily return. Although the spicy ramen wasn’t my favorite, the quality of the regular ramen, the delicious karaage, and the welcoming atmosphere made the visit worthwhile. Next time, I’m looking forward to trying the signature dipping ramen, which I’ve heard is one of Taishoken’s specialties.”

“I was visiting the Great Mall in Milpitas today and found this neat coffee kiosk in the mall. I ordered a Nu-Brew Cold Brew Coffee which is Cold Brew with milk and Nutella. This was absolutely amazing. Great mix of flavor with the coffee. They have a very interesting menu of which I want to try some of the other iced coffees. Definitely going to be back.”
