“My favorite restaurant in Milpitas. The chef was from Michelin Star restaurant and has an extremely high standard for quality. The price is very reasonable as well. Top notch! Go Echo!”
“Food and service were was good, the place was busy and lively but the interior is old and can use a bit of a moden refresh !
Parking: Teriyaki chicken bent box portion was generous, and the chicken was tasty, but i didn't like the special beef sushi roll, which I tasted for the first time !”
“Visit: September 2024
It was cool to try a build your own malatang hotpot. They had a decent selection of options and staff was there checking and refilling frequently.
The food tasted decent, nothing super special I would say, and it costed quite a bit for 1.5lb bowl. The table we had was also very unbalanced. Food came with some grapes and 3 tokens to the next door crane machine store, which was nice touch”
“This is my FAVORITE chicken wings place! Their soy garlic is AMAZING and simply the best. I haven’t had anything as good. Yesterday I was so excited to take a friend from out of town here and upon arrival it was closed and shut down. I’m soooo very saddened by this. I’d really love to know where the chef went. I would go to their next place in a heartbeat. If someone knows, please comment! May their chef chicken wing recipe be shared with more bellies. ??”
“Previously only tried YGF Malatang, but a friend put me on Mala Town in the same plaza. Love the soup and options for your malatang. Personal favorite is the cheese filled tofu and wide hot pot noodles. No weight limit like YGF, just $15.99/lb. Have come a lot after my first time.”

“Pretty good meal. Not too oily. Paneer in the curry could have been a little more softer. Meal included a veg curry, paneer curry, kadhi, aaloo sabzi and something that seemed like malai kofta. Also got rice/pulao, roti/poori, and some pakoda, fryums, a sweet and dal bati. Chaas was great! Went there at around 12.30 and we got our seats in about ten minutes. But at 1.15pm when we came out, there was quite a large crowd. The place is a little small, so there could be quite a big wait time during peak hours!!
Edit we went on a Saturday another time at 1.30pm, and they said they weren’t accepting anyone else for lunch.”

“Been here twice over the course of 2 weeks and....wow...delicious flavors! The ice cream is so flavorful and the staff have all been SO friendly.
Also, it appears that the flavors change seasonally, which keeps things fun, but...it also means you might have to wait for your favorite flavor to come back on the menu.
Today, we tried the following: strawberry-lemonade, burnt almond brittle, strawberry, and dark chocolate caramel...all were divine!
Also, the staff have been friendly and kind enough to let us try a sample or two...thanks!!”

“I’m from Virginia, and I must say the Bay Area has us beat in terms of pho options! Both their chicken and beef pho broth is excellent, but the standout is the bun bo hue!! You will not regret giving this place a try. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and the owner was very attentive and friendly. Will be back again the next time I’m in the area.”

“Super accommodating and very friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, and everything was beautifully presented. Service again was probably the best and they were really nice!”
“Surprised that this place was not busy at all. Great quality, presentation and service. Definitely a place to try if you've been looking for a decent Sushi restaurant around San Jose. Very limited settings but when we went at opening hours, there was no one there. There was happy hour but not much on there.”
“The best and most authentic Chinese hotpot place. It's so good I came here 2 days in a row. Offers good variety of spicy and non-spicy soup options that are all extremely flavorful. The sauces are great, and very reasonably priced.
One of the best Chinese food places in the south bay.”

“I have lived in Milpitas for 3 1/2 years now, and only recently 'discovered' this hidden gem right at the end of the street I live on!!! Their menu is varied enough to have a great selection, but not so much that it's overwhelming. The minute you enter their diner, you're greeted with a warm Good Morning or Good Afternoon! The staff is very attentive and friendly; we felt like members of the family from our first visit! The food is priced fairly, which is hard to say about almost any other restaurant I've been in lately, and, it is delicious! There you have it...Welcoming, friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food, priced fairly. A recipe for success, obviously since they've been there for over 20 years! Try it, you will not be disappointed!”
“quaint spot in a car wash plaza. Very convenient if you want to get gas and boba. It is actually a very spacious place inside and I love the layout of the different types of sitting areas. Not too cramped
I got the sea salt lavender peach oolong tea. Plenty of artisan and fun gimmicky drinks offerings here. I found the sea salt foam to be too thick and heavy.
There is one self-order kiosk but you have to pay a service fee which I have never seen before. If you order at the counter, there is no fee. Additionally, if you pay with cash, you don't need to pay tax.
They have claw machines inside but no bathroom. You have to go to the gas station convenience store for that.”
“Tacos y Tlayudas El Ejuteco has become my cherished discovery in the local food truck scene, transforming from a chance encounter into my go-to destination for delicious Mexican cuisine. This cash-only establishment serves up dishes that consistently exceed expectations, both in flavor and generosity.
The crown jewel of their menu is undoubtedly the al pastor torta, which introduced me to an unexpected but delightful twist – the addition of beans. The interplay of textures, combined with the traditional pineapple in the al pastor, creates a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and creamy elements that elevate this sandwich to memorable heights. Their chicken quesadillas deserve special mention, striking the perfect balance between crispy exterior and melted, flavorful filling.
What sets this food truck apart is their attention to the details that many establishments overlook. The pickled vegetables, served in generous portions, add a bright, acidic counterpoint to their rich main dishes. Their taco selection maintains high quality across the board, and the burritos, are certainly worth exploring as well.
The establishment's character shines through not just in their food but in their genuine hospitality. During one visit, when I found myself a dollar short while purchasing a Jarritos after my meal, they graciously accepted what I had – a small gesture that speaks volumes about their customer service philosophy. This kind of personal touch, increasingly rare in today's dining landscape, helps foster a loyal customer base.
While the cash-only policy might require some planning ahead, it's a minor inconvenience given the quality and value provided. Whether you're craving authentic Mexican street food or seeking a reliable quick meal, Tacos y Tlayudas El Ejyteco delivers consistency, generosity, and flavor in every dish. It's more than just a food truck – it's a testament to the enduring appeal of well-executed, unpretentious cuisine.”

“Tayyibaat may not be the fanciest spot in town, but its combination of great food and friendly staff keeps me coming back time and time again. I've frequented this gem countless times, and they've never failed to impress. The burger, in particular, is an absolute must-try—it's simply the best.”
“I was craving some Korean food and came here and it was GOOD! After we ordered through the QR code on the table, we got some banchan, which was okay. We then got some sort of soup and it was amazing. We ordered the seafood pancake (great), deluxe tteokbokki (amazing and super heavy), and bulgogi bibimbap (great). Would definitely return.”

“The best Korean food I’ve ever had in my life! Their beef stew exceeded my expectation so much, it was super flavourful and tender. The best thing about it was it was full of big chunks of meat, so it was definitely enough for 3 very hungry adults, no need to be shy about taking the meat from the pot into your bowl! We added the cheese for extra flavour and performance lol! Also, their kimchi had the right spice level and of course you can refill them! The staff were nice too. There was a queue but it was so worth it! 10/10 recommended. Next time we’ll come back and try something new.”
“This is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to! The udon noodles were thick and chewy, served in a savory broth that warmed my soul. I also tried their gyoza as an appetizer, which were pan-fried to perfection crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The service was attentive without being overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our server meal at our own pace. The overall experience was fantastic; I left feeling satisfied and eager to return!”
“Authenticity: NO I'm big on authenticity of ethic food. When I eat out at a Thai, Laos, or Cambodian restaurants expected food to true to core of authenticity but this one is just another typical khmer/Thai restaurant that Carter towards western eaters. I'm aware that most do so to maintain the flow of business, but I specifically asked them for a true Khmer/Thai dish but it wasn't there. Service: Excellent! I'm used to having a 3 course meals and based on the price of dishes I've asked what the portion was like. The server was very helpful and informative and said "for one person the portion each dish is too big....you'll have to take much of it home." Atmosphere: Inviting. Overall, good. they serve a wide selection of wines and cocktails drink. Place is cleaned, organized, and uncluttered.”
“Great quality AYCE! I dined here with three others on a Friday night, I would recommend making a reservation as the wait can be quite long (although well worth it). Staff were very friendly and helpful and the ambiance was nice! Food came out quick despite the restaurant being very full. Would recommend the wagyu, well worth the extra cost and fantastic quality meat.”
“The food was very hot and delicious. I am very adventurous and ordered the new cheesy chicken cutlet, sweet potato fries with plum seasoning, and a spicy fried chicken bento box. Food is very large portions, great for sharing. I've never had this like this and definitely recommend it. Friendly staff or you can use a self service tablet. Has some great deals as well. The picture of the food is next and reheated. Still tasted fantastic.”
“If you’re in the Bay Area, Yuan Bistro is a must-try for traditional Northeastern Chinese dishes! The Guo Bao Rou is freshly fried with a perfect balance of sweet and sour, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Suan Cai Yu is tangy and fresh, with black fish, tofu, and vermicelli in a delicious broth. Highly recommend the sweet potato leaves and spicy chicken cartilage too. Authentic and delicious!”
“Easy and fast to order, great food! I recommend the beef hot pot, medium spicy.
Add ons to try: fishball with roe, frozen tofu, & woodear mushrooms.”

“I never have any issues with this location. Service is friendly, fast and they are attentive. Food is always as I order it. The place is clean and I haven't found anything gross or dirty there. Over all Dennys on Calaveras in Milpitas is my 1st choice for any Denny's.
Parking: Off Calaveras blvd and 880... San jose/ Milpitas area
Kid-friendliness: Kids love it here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible.”
“on the afternoon of OCT 27, 2024 poor staff didn't have any cooks - they are doing their best with the hand they were dealt today. I hope those that were kicking tail to keep up with the demand are given a raise or a respectful appreciation for sticking through unique challenges and stressors.”
“Food is great and friendly staff. Caddilac Margaritas is the bomb”
“Consistent. Mid range steaks. Have to be careful with the shrimp; 50% of the times, it's overcooked. The bartenders are super nice. Decent drinks, depending upon what you order.
Dietary restrictions: The soups are SALTY!
Parking: Shared free lot at the Great Mall. Parking is easier if you avoid the main entrances.”

“Omg the calamari is amazing, most of the drinks I don’t like. But the food and customer service is amazing. Kenya is great customer service, like she always says hi to me, she fixed the spices for me without attitude and genuinely looks like she’s a very nice girl. You don’t meet good customer service like her.”

“Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!”
“I can tell from the quality of food, decor, cleanliness, and environment that a lot of thought was put into this restaurant. The food was incredible - very fresh and tasty. They were also kid-friendly (small details like corner protectors on the chairs). Our kids enjoyed the toy dispenser and the kids meal. Staff were friendly too. We will definitely be back!
Kid-friendliness: Kids meal, toy dispenser, clean restrooms, and even corner protectors on the chairs!”

“It was cheeseburger day in the US and I was at the Great Mall shopping with my wife at the Uniqlo which is very close to the Great Mall food court. I was intent on getting my cheeseburger for the day and as you other husbands who shop with your wife know what it's like to stand around while the wife considers close to try on and buy , I decided to see if I can't get my cheeseburger on. Lucky for me the Burger King app had a free cheeseburger with any purchase of a dollar or more. So I made my online order and was able to get a chocolate chip cookie and a cheeseburger for a buck. The experience was easy and smooth and no hassle. Mind you now this is not a classic Burger King experience but rather a mall version of the Burger King experience and it was fine and easy. Happy national cheeseburger day y'all!”
“This is my morning stop Monday thru Friday. This is a very nice Starbucks with a friendly staff. Reviews are accurate as it does depend on staff. The girls are always cheerful, but there is a young man who is always cranky. He does his job nothing else no greeting nada! He does not bother me too much once I get a taste of that Starbucks goodness!☕️”
“I cannot recommend Caffino enough. I grew up near this stand and the new owners (2020ish) have done wonders to revive this stand. They repainted the stand and gave it a facelift and man it made a world of a difference. The coffee selection is immaculate and the pastries are delicious and always seem fresh. Not to mention the workers make you feel like family. They always welcome you with a warm smile, pay attention to your entire order, and never skip a beat. It is always my first stop when I come home to visit and will remain that way!!
Dietary restrictions: Lots of dairy alternatives
Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu”
“They have good cakes in general. A few days back I ordered their passion fruit mousse cake for my daughter’s bday, but the passion fruit jelly was not set properly and dripped to the side of the cake . We brought the cake and kept it refrigerated for a long time but the gel did not still get set.
I am not sure whether I would get it again .”
“I recommend this place because there is the most important thing here! This is the staff, they are ready to do everything to make you like it!) It doesn’t matter whether you like kfc or not, these guys will make you want to eat here) I didn’t like the price, they made it so I ate cheaper and tastier :) it’s cool! In many places, usually no one cares, then I wanted to say that the inside is clean and the chicken is really tasty. I rarely write good reviews, but it’s a great place!”
“Shanghai Family in Milpitas is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the South Bay. It has a really down-to-earth feeling, like being in someone’s dining room with the decor of an Asian condo and home-cooked style of food. They don't speak much English, but you can point to the items that you want. Thankfully, I've figured out by now which dishes are my favorite. I'm always open to trying ones I haven't had before, but find myself gravitating back to the greatest hits here.
The menu items list many of the same ingredients without any additional details: beef with onion, beef with sesame, dried tofu with celery, dried tofu with cuttlefish, etc. Their dishes are not overly seasoned or too salty or sweet like you get at many Chinese restaurants. Everything is chopped into thin perfect bite-sized pieces, not too thick or chunky.
I almost always order the fish and vegetable soup, one of my absolute favs. It is served ridiculous hot, beware. If you eat it too fast, it will stick like napalm and could burn your tongue and mouth. The beef and onion is simple, but oh so tasty with some steamed rice. I also like the cuttlefish and celery.
There is another Shanghai Family Cuisine in Cupertino, but I've found that their quality and menu differ from the one in Milpitas. Not in a good way. Recommend sticking to the original Milpitas location. One last note, they only take cash or Venmo, so plan accordingly. There’s a 7-11 a building over but you’ll pay ATM fees. Meals for 2-4 seem to come out to around 60 dollars.
Parking: Can get busy in this lot. It’s also a bit tight getting in and parking, so be cautious.”
“I regularly visit the nearby Starbucks and always enjoy my time there. My go-to drinks are the Vanilla Cappuccino with coconut milk and the Shaken Espresso with oat milk. Both are consistently delicious. If I'm hungry, the Banana Loaf is a perfect snack. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy, making it a great place to relax. Highly recommend!”
“Samantha is the best barista, she welcomed me with a smile in her voice today. She made me my fav pistacchio latte even though it was not available in any starbucks store in the bay area. She went above and beyond her job role, I am very proud of her customer service. She always greets with a lovely voice, I could feel her energy even though she had the mask on her face. I believe in recognizing talented barista and expert service. Keep up the great work Samantha! Loved your energy. I hope your manager would read this review and recognize your hard work.”
“Bullfrog, fish maw, yellow throat and beef are all delicacies! ! ! Immortal product! ! ! People from Hubei feel like they are at home! ! ! ! Eat it every day! Come and eat in the store! Go home and order takeout! Order togo and come over and take it home to eat! ! ! The best Hunan cuisine in the Bay Area! The crayfish are washed so clean and the ingredients are so fresh! Super conscientious! ! ! Top 1! ! ! !”

“Curry Pizza House offers a unique twist on classic pizza with its fusion of Indian flavors. The Veggie Delight Pizza is a standout, offering a medley of fresh vegetables and a flavorful curry sauce that perfectly complements the crispy crust. The Chilli Paneer Pizza is another highlight, featuring tender paneer cubes and vibrant curry sauce that bring a delightful heat and richness. Equally impressive is the Desi Garlic Bread, which infuses traditional garlic bread with aromatic Indian spices, making each bite a delightful burst of flavor. For those seeking a creative twist on classic dishes, Curry Pizza House is a must-visit destination.”
“The term "American-Indo-Asian" can describe the menu here. We had Mao Baos and Manchurian Sizzler, and loved both. That Mumbai Sandwich style chutney ir -kled vegetables hits a perfect taste s00dles as whitely coming back to have some more Manchurian Sizzler had both rice and noodles as well as fried and veggies. All tasted great!
Service was quick and friendly. We were here for weekday lunch it wasn't crowded. Nice simple ambiance.
Menu is really good with variety of options available. Must try place for vegetarians and vegans in the bay area.”
“The food here has is excellent and the people employed are very friendly”

“If you like fresh tasty Asian food in an ultra clean, bright and cheery environment, you've found your new home at TK Noodle Milpitas. They reopened after being shut down by the covid lockdowns in a smaller newer building and it's better than ever. They have ame great food in a more cheerful clean bright friendly environment. I love pasta and noodles and their wide noodles are the best anywhere in the world, EVER!”

“It's been a long time since I've had authentic Maharashtrian food and Annapoorna happened to be the right place. They offer tasty food which isn't too spicy and cover almost all of the most famous Maharashtrian dishes... I will be returning many times from now on and have already started making plans of what I will be having next. I hope Annapoorna maintains it's quality and taste especially as they start attracting crowds. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Last week, I had͏ a nice time eating at Hub 61 and was really happy with the whole thing. The place has great Indian food that is tasty and looks good. The setting is warm and welcoming, making it a nice spot for any event. I was with my family for dinner chicken chittinadu curry along with paratha was delicious. My son who is 8 years old was in awe for goat sukha which is another notable dish from their menu And loud shoutout for biryani, we had Mughlai chicken biryani which was the best in taste in the whole bay area
Hemanth the customer service representative at the entrance had a friendly and nice manners, which made us feel very welcome. his skill an͏d care for little things did not go unseen and gave a special touch to our visit.
Hub 61 has certainly become one of my top recommendations for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in a pleasant setting. I look forward to returning and experiencing more of what they have to offer!”
“(May 2024) I got the Taiwanese Boba Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Boba Soft Serve. I liked both the drink and soft service but there was too much boba for the amount of drink and I would have enjoyed the soft serve without the boba because the hot boba melted the soft serve too much to my liking.
I enjoyed watching the staff make the drinks and stir the boba. The fortune box was a fun thing to do while we wait for our order.”
“Kicked off the New Year with a fantastic dinner at H L Peninsula, and it did not disappoint! This spot offers classic Cantonese-style seafood dining in a traditional Chinese banquet hall setting. The food was affordable, the portions were generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor.
We ordered the vegetarian and egg fried rice along with the spare ribs—both were absolutely amazing. The spare ribs were tender and full of savory goodness, and the fried rice was the perfect comforting complement. Bonus: the leftovers kept us happy for days.
We’re already planning to return to explore their seafood dishes, which looked incredible on other tables. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Cantonese dining with portions that deliver, H L Peninsula is a solid choice.”
“Lunch time buffet is $20. There’s a ton of variety—Chinese food, dim sum, fried food section, sushi, desserts, etc. For the price and the quick service, it is pretty worth it in my opinion. There are also plenty of seats and customers coming in and out. They keep refilling the food section as well.”
“Food was good.,cozy atmosphere”
