“Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!“

“A neighborhood favorite in Milpitas! The fish quality is amazing, not far off from what I’ve experienced at high end sushi restaurants. At $14-$18 per roll, you’re looking at some incredible value. No, it’s not authentic Japanese sushi, but I still think it’s delicious. Always coming back for their Mizuno and Dragon rolls!“

Onigilly Japanese Kitchen - Milpitas Japanese • $
296 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas

“This location opened inside not too long ago inside the Great Mall not too far from the Jollibee and I've been several times already.

Their onigiri is delicious, fresh, and well-priced. I've also tried their signature poke bowl. Everything is made to order and the ingredients are high-quality. Even so, the prices are quite reasonable - the bowl is ~$17, including tax. Most poke places are easily starting at $20 for any sort of bowl and that's before you add in other toppings and premium ingredients.

Don't know how long they can keep up the quality at this price but I'd give it a try before too long.“

“Our family loves Sumiya Bento in Milpitas. We eat here all the time. Once a week if possible! The food quality and service has always been consistently top notch!

We have also ate at the Sumiya Bento location in Santa Clara several times, but we prefer the Milpitas location! The skewers at the Milpitas location has always been juicy and cooked just right. For some reason everytime we eat the skewers at their Santa Clara location it has been dry and too charred/burnt. Not sure why.

So definitely give Sumiya Bento Milpitas a try! You won't regret it.“

“Taishoken is famous for its tsukemen, and it lives up to the hype. The cold, chewy noodles are served separately so you can dip them into a rich broth that’s thick, savory, and satisfying. It’s fun to eat, filling, and a nice change of pace if you want something with a little more bite and texture than regular ramen.

Their tonkotsu ramen is also a great option. The broth is creamy and comforting, the pork is tender, and the boiled egg is well prepared timing-wise; perhaps a little cold. It’s tasty and perfect if you want a warm, cozy bowl without having to think too hard about it.

Service is pretty decent and inside the restaurant is sophisticatedly nice. From the signage I learned the recipe originated in 1951. Generally a good parking situation because there’s a huge lot, but this ‘Ranch 99’ area can get quite packed at times.“
