“Service was super quick and nice. We ordered the Tonkotsu, black garlic and the tantanmen ramen. All three were so delicious and flavorful. Pretty affordable too. We went around 6pm on a Friday night and there was plenty of space but the space is pretty small so it was pretty packed by the time we left. Definitely would recommend.“
“I returned a month later. Boy oh boy. It was love all over again. This time we got the sake set and added otoro nigiri, corn soup, white peach beer. How did I miss the corn soup the first time? Again the fish was so fresh - and served at the right temperature. The cuts of fish and knifemanship really shined through. Also, real wasabi.“
“Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!“
“Thank you Ichika for presenting us with a really special night!!The servers were friendly and perfectly escorted us between dishes. I really appreciated our server helping us choose a sake: letting us taste some and recommending a carafe of our favorite. Also, since we sat at the sushi bar, we got to know the chefs! They were delightful and watching them prepare the courses was a bonus.I was very happy with the meal! Each dish was delicious and featured interesting, varying ingredients. While my favorites are always sashimi and sushi, my date prefers warm, prepared dishes. This menu suited us well since we had some of both. The atmosphere was lovely and clearly well thought out. The lighting was just right to see our beautiful plated dishes! We’re looking forward to returning in a few months. The chef said the menu changes every 3-4 months.“
“This is definitely one of the best authentic Hawaiian food that you can get here in the Bay Area. They work in a ghost kitchen, which means it isn't a restaurant. You order through their website and select a time for pickup. They only operate on Thursday-Saturday with time slots for pickup being very limited. I recommend ordering at least a week before you plan to pickup because there won't be available times if you order the week of.Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp: I am so amazed by how this tastes. Those who have went to Hawaii, this is the closest thing to Giovanni's Shrimp Truck in Hawaii. The shrimp is cooked to perfection and there is TONS of garlic. This is a must get!!!Original Spam Musubi: Great meat to rice ratio. They put big pieces of spam inside so every bite is flavorful. The spam is cooked with a tangy sweet sauce, which is how it is supposed to be everywhere.Chicken Katsu Musubi: The chicken is so tender! Skin of the chicken is crispy and the pickled cabbage tops it all off. The cabbage gives a nice crunch and refreshing taste to balance out the fried taste with the chicken katsu.“
“SumiYA! We had lunch for the first time here. Everything was delicious and our favorite was the Takikomi rice upgrade that was well worth the $3. We can’t wait to come again. The skewers could have been a bit hotter, but were still quite delicious.“
“The curry beef pepper Udon (garlic butter) was delicious ? So much so that I had to try and recreate it at home....I'll be heading back for more, lol! The staff is extremely polite ?, and the service is excellent. It's a great spot to grab a quick bite, and you will not leave disappointed!! ??“
“This is not Vegas, but the presentation felt like it! Xian Steam Pot & Yakiniku took over the old Gen building in Milpitas. You have two dining options - Steam Pot or Yakiniku. Although the Steam Pot looked really interesting, we opted for the good ol' Japanese BBQ. This is not your everyday kind of JBBQ, but more of a place to come to for big celebrations.Fuji 富士 - $199 (serves 2-3 people)• Australian Wagyu BMS9 Short Loin• US Wagyu Gold Line Kalbi• US Wagyu Beef Tongue• US Wagyu Sirloin Steak• Kalbi Short Rib w/ Bone• Kurobuta Tontoro• Australian Lobster Tail• Garlic Shrimp• Veggie Plate (seasonal)• Clay Pot Wagyu Rice (MY FAV!! Soooo good, definitely the winner)“
“There is already a location like this in Fremont, but that's inside the 99 Ranch Store. So, I won't be able to review the atmosphere here and decided to go to the one at Milpitas since it has its own place. It wasn't really crowded here, but I do like how the place is clean and built. Nice wall decorations I'm seeing. Also, the fountain machine is out of service. I didn't order a drink here, and so idk how they sell drinks atmI came here, because they mainly sell Japanese Bowls, which is very uncommon. I wanted to try out Japanese curries since they are widely shown in anime shows lolJapanese curry actually tastes good! Really worth my time coming here and I will come back to try out more stuff (or in Fremont haha)“
“Went during Friday lunch. They had great sushi lunch specials starting around $12. But food especially Sushi took a long time to be served. The sushi was poorly made, fell apart and was uneven. The fish seemed fresh but handling was poor. I saw stacks of salmon on the counter unrefrigerated.“
“Located somewhat in a hidden spot due to Apple Maps sending you to the wrong location, this Japanese yakiniku experience doesn't disappoint when it comes to the quality of their meat. You don't find much restaurants like Meat Time in the Bay Area... at least to my knowledge. I've been here twice. First time when it opened, I went with my family and they paid for everything (a la carte). I just know the price was expensive and the food I put in my mouth was delicious. This time, I celebrated my friend's birthday as a party of 8. It seems like the maximum you can hold at a table is 8 and any more would probably have to be split up. Interior is on the darker side, but very neat! We got the AYCE option which comes with four different main meats. One person can order one meat at a time. At the top of my head, there was the brisket with egg dipping sauce, pork belly, pork cheek, and squid. Squid was whatever. Pork belly is okay. I liked the pork cheek. But the brisket is AMAZING! It isn't chewy like how Gen's and other KBBQ spots are, and the texture is just right. The sauces they give you compliment the brisket. You can also get other meat options at the expense of paying more per plate. There was galbi, sirloin, and beef tongue. Probably something else but my friends ordered the galbi and sirloin. Definitely tasty, but I'm not willing to pay more than I need to for AYCE. Their tofu, curry rice, and karaage are really good as side dishes/appetizers/snacks. You can order as much as you want. I think my only complaint is that the meat can come out pretty slow and/or staggered. Service isn't THAT attentive, but that was because I was the one that tried to get their attention like every other minute. They're definitely staffed quite on the low side so I didn't mind too much. They are kind which makes up for it.“
“We came here for dinner and had an excellent meal. We ordered three appetizers, including the chicken karaage, grilled calamari, and hamachi kama. We also ordered extra large rolls, including the Las Vegas roll, sexy-tem roll, and Kawasaki roll. We ordered the shrimp futomaki and chirashi, and we also ordered special topping rolls including the rockstar roll and the sun roll. Everything was delicious, and the extra large rolls really live up to their name. The chirashi also included very thick cut pieces of sashimi, so it’s definitely a great deal. We will definitely come back when we’re back in the Bay Area!“
