Very busy for Valentines so expected a few delays but the staff were great and Sheamir provided great service. They are very big/generous compared to sushi places in SF which are very thin and more rice than sashimi. I would come here again if I was in the area craving sushi. “Warm welcome from a small shop nestled in strip mall. It was a busy lunch time but the one lady server was on top of things. We ordered mix tempura appetizer, softshell crab appetizer, Philly roll, Stormbringer and scallop roll. The fried appetizers were perfectly cooked, nice and crunchy, not too oily. The stormbringer had a nice selection of mixed sushi bits wrapped around a softshell crab.“

“I had an amazing first experience at Poke Poke Fish Bar! I ordered the regular 3-protein bowl (around $21.50) and it did not disappoint. I went with sushi rice, spicy crab, and chose tuna for all my proteins—super fresh and flavorful. I loaded it up with all the veggies, added seaweed, and topped it off with their house sauce and spicy sriracha… absolutely delicious.

What really made the visit stand out was the service. The young man and woman working there were incredibly friendly and took the time to walk me through the options since it was my first time. They made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Pick up was super easy--they had set up tables with lots of space in between orders and room for social distancing. “Miyuki Japanese Restaurant is an easy 4 star place for me. It is excellent, just not quite at that top tier 5-star level.

However it is probably the best Japanese spot in the area. The menu covers a wide range, from sushi to combination boxes with cooked dishes and noodle soups, so there is something for everyone. The chefs are terrific. The rolls are awesome. And the salad dressing has a unique mustard taste that I’ve never had at any other Japanese restaurant.

The service is top shelf. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to take care of you throughout the meal.

The interior is fairly average, but it has a subtle Japanese feel that keeps it comfortable and appropriate for the food.

It is a place I keep coming back to, even if I stop just short of calling it five stars.“
