“It made me feel like I was back in Japan for the duration of my meal.
The chefs were excellent, the seafood quality was extremely fresh, and they had items directly from Japan (such as uni from Hokkaido).
It was worth every penny, there was no downside except once you leave you’re still in California instead of Tokyo.“

“Our family went to the downtown MV Pokéworks on Friday afternoon to do take out and were delighted to find this location on Castro Street nicely blocked off, shaded, with ample clean and widely spaced seating if you want to dine-outside. Really highly recommend this location of Pokeworks - you can order&pay online and the manager of this location is meticulous about safety and YUMMY food. They even have the Disneyland DoleWhip for dessert 🤤.“

“This place is great. The dinner combo with two items (selected salmon lover roll + sashimi), miso soup and salad is great value and tasty. Really enjoyed the sashimi and salmon lover roll.
Can order from QR code on table but someone took our order directly.“

“We went here with our 1 year old and it was a great experience! Staff was very friendly and the ambience was good too :)
We tried the heart attack sushi and the mango crunch sushi and both of them were very tasty.

“Cleanly renovated by the new owner, the place now has very nice ambiance! Service was reasonable. Perhaps it would have been better if our arrival was not so close to their closing time.
The food was okay. Sashimi seemed well agrd and tasty. Pieces were good size also. The other stuff needs some improvement. The combo tempura were quite greasy. I wonder if the temperature of the frying grease was not high enough to result in crispy, non-greasy coating.
Reasonable value for lunch. Dinner price would diminish the value if the food is about the same.“

“I came here and ordered a kimchi raice bowl with skirt steak and brussel sprouts, there was also cucumber and as a person who hates cucumbers I can say I loved these and the brussel sprouts were absolutely delectable everything was amazing and fresh. Jesus was my server and he took very good care of me, my cup was never empty and I wasn't waiting forever to check out.“

“We were a group of 6 all visiting for the first time and we loved it! 5 out of 6 of us did the Omakase tasting. All the courses were delicious and all of the folks there are amazing and welcoming! I highly recommend Sushi Jin. It is great spot and we will go back again.“
