“I recently tried Mala Town 麻辣烫, and it was a fantastic experience. The best part is being able to customize your own bowl — you pick exactly what ingredients you want, from fresh vegetables and tofu to different meats and noodles. Everything tasted very fresh and the variety of options was great.

The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. It had that authentic Sichuan-style mala flavor — numbing, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. You can also adjust the spice level, which makes it great whether you prefer mild or extra spicy.

The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized, making the whole experience very comfortable. It’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Chinese comfort food.

“The taste is 5-stars but I knocked off a star for the price. Most puddings were $13 for a few bites. Like might as well just charge me for breathing the air there too. Siphon the money straight out of my bank account. The coconut pudding was so sliky smooth and delicious. I had bought Tong Sui and ate it back to back at the same time. I prefer Melo Melo because their pudding is softer and sweeter. There is also coconut milk added to it which contributes to the flavor.“

“I ordered lunch from this place through Uber Eats and went with their Italian sub, which is usually my go-to sandwich. The description sounded promising, with cured meats and salami, so I had fairly high expectations.

When it arrived, though, the sandwich felt pretty basic. The sourdough bread was fresh and tasted good, and the sandwich itself was generously sized, but there wasn’t anything particularly memorable about it. It wasn’t toasted, and for around $15, I was at least expecting a side of chips or something to round out the meal.

The sandwich was loaded with lettuce and fresh ingredients, but the construction could have been better. It was quite messy to eat, with ingredients sliding out and falling apart as I went through it.

Overall, the sandwich was fresh, filling, and perfectly okay, but it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. Not a bad lunch by any means, just not something that stood out.“

Most of the dishes are above average and the ambience is very nice and clean. However the service stands out over all this . “Tried Curry Pizza House recently, It's a small dine-in space with limited seating, so we opted for takeout instead.

We placed our order online for a large half-and-half pizza--one side butter chicken (their popular pick) and the other malai chicken. The ordering process was smooth, and our pizza was ready right on time, which made the experience super convenient.

For our first visit, we wanted to try their signature curry pizzas, though they do offer traditional options as well. We also added desi garlic sticks from their small plates menu--they have quite a good variety of sides and wings if you're looking to explore more.

Coming to the food:
* The butter chicken pizza was definitely the star. The curry base was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and it was generously loaded with toppings.
* The malai chicken pizza was decent, but slightly on the sweeter side for my taste. My husband, however, really enjoyed it.
* The desi garlic sticks were good overall--they had a noticeable pesto flavor, though I wish the garlic was a bit more prominent. Still, something I'd order again.

The location is pretty accessible, and depending on the outlet, you'll usually find plaza-style parking nearby, which makes pickup easy and hassle-free.

Overall, it was a decent experience. While I enjoyed parts of the meal, I'll probably take my time before going back, as I'd like to explore other pizza spots that serve similar curry-style pizzas.“

“Dakao sandwiches has been around for over 30 years maybe 40. Decor is probably original. Anyway banh mi sandwiches are generally good. Expect to pay 7 dollars for a standard banh mi. They use a 10 inch narrow baguette. Filling is ok but uneven. Buy 2 and it's still less than what you would pay for a sandwich from a deli or sandwich shop.“

I’ve seen from the search that everyone gets the chili noodles which I couldn’t find on the app. I had to order it personally from the waiter which was weird. The food came out fast with my buddy getting the lamb which he said had a real strong lamb flavor that was overpowering. The chili noodles were okay, nothing special. The chili wonton which I was wonton in chili sauce but in reality it was wonton in a soup. Overall not the best place for “pulled noodles” but not the worse, I’ll say it’s OK.“

“Our family loves Sumiya Bento in Milpitas. We eat here all the time. Once a week if possible! The food quality and service has always been consistently top notch!

We have also ate at the Sumiya Bento location in Santa Clara several times, but we prefer the Milpitas location! The skewers at the Milpitas location has always been juicy and cooked just right. For some reason everytime we eat the skewers at their Santa Clara location it has been dry and too charred/burnt. Not sure why.

So definitely give Sumiya Bento Milpitas a try! You won't regret it.“

“I cannot recommend Caffino enough. I grew up near this stand and the new owners (2020ish) have done wonders to revive this stand. They repainted the stand and gave it a facelift and man it made a world of a difference. The coffee selection is immaculate and the pastries are delicious and always seem fresh. Not to mention the workers make you feel like family. They always welcome you with a warm smile, pay attention to your entire order, and never skip a beat. It is always my first stop when I come home to visit and will remain that way!!

“This is arguably the most authentic Guangxi rice noodles in the Bay Area. Not only does the laoyou noodles come in both versions – with and without tomato (adding tomato is a very nostalgic, old-school Nanning style) – but they also offer classic Guangxi toppings such as fried egg.

Given that much of the Bay Area Chinese food scene tends to prioritize shortcuts and marketing over substance, genuinely serious places like this often struggle to survive. I hope more people will support this owner, who is clearly doing things the right way.“

“My favorite milk tea/boba place in the Bay Area. The prices of their drinks haven't risen like other chains, their tea is of high quality, and the staff make drinks in the fastest time.While there isn't much seating room inside, one can quickly order and grab and go. The staff speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English and one can either name the drinks or provide a number, and they incredibly know which number matches each drink.My favorite drink here is the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea with pearls; however, any milk teas from here taste delicious!“

“I’ve been coming here for dim sum for a while and it’s always a great experience. The dining hall is very spacious, and even on weekends there’s usually little to no wait, or the line moves pretty quickly. The seafood dishes are also well done—slightly on the pricier side, but worth it.

This was actually my first time coming for dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected more of a “fine dining” style with small portions, but the portions were very generous—the fried rice was literally like a small mountain!

One thing that really stood out was the service. We ordered a vegetable dish that had a couple of carrot slices, and when I tasted one it seemed a bit off (slightly sour). They immediately made us a brand new dish without carrots, no questions asked. They even gave us complimentary longevity buns.

We were also celebrating a friend’s birthday—bringing our own cake, singing, and candles—and they didn’t charge any extra fees. The staff helped us light the candles and even played a birthday song, which made the experience extra special.

Overall, great food, generous portions, and excellent service. Definitely a go-to spot for both dim sum and dinner!“

“2.15.2026- it was our second time after 2 years. This time we tried the combo beef pho with Bê Thui (Smoked Veal). The broth was clear and not salty or greasy. A generous amount of meat and a big chunk of gristle (I love gristle 😁). Surprisingly the Smoked Veal really added a nice touch to the pho. You eat it by dipping it in a light soybean paste. Over all, it was delicious.
The restaurant is always bright & clean. Service can improve. They could come back at least once to ask if we needed anything else like hot tea or water. Still we will come back to try something else soon.“
