“I went to Jun bistro a few times. It's a cute resturant with a unique theme and it is nicely decorated inside.

I had the mushroom truffle rice and beef noodle a few times. I love them both. The broth is light and flavorful. While the beef is juicy and tender. And for the mushroom rice. They give a generous amount of mushrooms. Overall, the dishes there are all so flavorful in each bite. The one that stood out was the Chinese donut and pate. I didn't know you could pair them together. I'll definitely order those again!

“We ordered the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, beef chow mein, garlic naan, grilled lamb chops, lamb skewers, and baked buns.

As someone from Henan, I thought the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles tasted somewhat similar to the style back home, and overall it was probably the best dish we had this time. The garlic naan was decent, and the lamb skewers were also okay.

However, the grilled lamb chops were disappointing. The meat was way too tough and almost impossible to chew. After we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly removed the dish from our bill, which I appreciated.

Later, we also ordered beef chow mein and baked buns. The beef chow mein was pretty average. As for the baked buns, it did seem like there was more meat filling than before, but the flavor was different from what I remembered. They weren’t as fragrant, didn’t have much juice inside, and overall tasted a bit dry, so they weren’t really to my taste.

Overall, the food here feels different from when the restaurant first opened, and I’m not sure if the chef has changed. Based on the dishes I tried this time, I’d say the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles are still worth trying, but I’d be cautious about ordering the other dishes. I also visited the Mountain View location for lunch, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that one either, since they didn’t have stir-fried noodle dishes and only offered soup noodles.“

“Tried Curry Pizza House recently, It's a small dine-in space with limited seating, so we opted for takeout instead.

We placed our order online for a large half-and-half pizza--one side butter chicken (their popular pick) and the other malai chicken. The ordering process was smooth, and our pizza was ready right on time, which made the experience super convenient.

For our first visit, we wanted to try their signature curry pizzas, though they do offer traditional options as well. We also added desi garlic sticks from their small plates menu--they have quite a good variety of sides and wings if you're looking to explore more.

Coming to the food:
* The butter chicken pizza was definitely the star. The curry base was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and it was generously loaded with toppings.
* The malai chicken pizza was decent, but slightly on the sweeter side for my taste. My husband, however, really enjoyed it.
* The desi garlic sticks were good overall--they had a noticeable pesto flavor, though I wish the garlic was a bit more prominent. Still, something I'd order again.

The location is pretty accessible, and depending on the outlet, you'll usually find plaza-style parking nearby, which makes pickup easy and hassle-free.

Overall, it was a decent experience. While I enjoyed parts of the meal, I'll probably take my time before going back, as I'd like to explore other pizza spots that serve similar curry-style pizzas.“

“I have been going to this restaurant for my whole life. Still just as good and go every time I’m back in town.“

“Dakao sandwiches has been around for over 30 years maybe 40. Decor is probably original. Anyway banh mi sandwiches are generally good. Expect to pay 7 dollars for a standard banh mi. They use a 10 inch narrow baguette. Filling is ok but uneven. Buy 2 and it's still less than what you would pay for a sandwich from a deli or sandwich shop.“

“This is hands down one of the best North Indian buffet places in the Bay Area! With stylish interiors and a warm, inviting ambiance, this place is definitely not to be missed.

I visited during lunch with a few friends, and we were wowed by the variety of food options. The naan was served fresh, and everything we tried tasted really good.

I also catered food from them for my spouse’s 50th birthday party, and the food was a huge hit with all our guests. Everything was delivered on time and tasted perfect.

For appetizers, we ordered Dahi Bhalla, Achaari Paneer, and Gobi Manchurian. For the main course, we had Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, and Paneer Lababdar, along with Naan and Lachcha Paratha. We also ordered Moong Dal Halwa for dessert.

The Dahi Bhalla was a super hit! Several guests said it was hands down the best Dahi Bhalla they had ever had at a restaurant. All the other dishes were equally delicious and received lots of compliments.

Overall, whether you’re looking for a great North Indian buffet or catering for a party, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be ordering from them again!“

“A Hidden Gem in Milpitas! 🍣

This is my third time dining at Sushi Umami, and I’ve had a wonderful experience every time. I finally had to write a review because this place truly deserves the recognition!

The restaurant has a beautiful, elegant atmosphere, with tasteful decor, clean wooden tables, and cozy sofa booths. We were seated in one of the booths this time, which made our meal even more relaxing.

I especially love the beautiful tableware. Every plate, little bowl, and even the tiny sake cups is thoughtfully chosen and absolutely charming. Paired with the fresh, delicious food and beautiful presentation, everything is a feast for both the stomach and the eyes!

We particularly enjoyed the Truffle Hamachi, Uni Amaebi Don, Sake Steamed Clams, Sashimi Box, Omakase Nigiri & Sashimi, Double Toro Roll, and Triple S Roll. The staff were also friendly, gentle, and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout the meal.

With its delicious food, lovely atmosphere, warm service, and reasonable prices, Sushi Umami offers an all-around wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Milpitas!“

I bought a small assortment of appetizers; garlic popcorn chicken, fried mochi balls, and sesame balls. If you love garlic, you’ll love the popcorn chicken, as they load up on garlic and it tastes great. The sesame balls are about average, nothing to note but nothing to complain about, is what you should expect. I won’t rate the mochi balls as I had it edited for allergies.

The interior was nice and the staff was helpful in addressing allergy concerns. My only complaint was the skewers, a common thing for snacks served by these type of places would usually have two per box, and not be jammed in to the snacks.“

“Went to ok noodle for lunch around 1:30, walked in and we were the only customer which was odd. The gentleman helped us setup but you mainly order from your phone. I’ve seen from the search that everyone gets the chili noodles which I couldn’t find on the app. I had to order it personally from the waiter which was weird. The food came out fast with my buddy getting the lamb which he said had a real strong lamb flavor that was overpowering. The chili noodles were okay, nothing special. The chili wonton which I was wonton in chili sauce but in reality it was wonton in a soup. Overall not the best place for “pulled noodles” but not the worse, I’ll say it’s OK.“

“I was visiting the Great Mall in Milpitas today and found this neat coffee kiosk in the mall. I ordered a Nu-Brew Cold Brew Coffee which is Cold Brew with milk and Nutella. This was absolutely amazing. Great mix of flavor with the coffee. They have a very interesting menu of which I want to try some of the other iced coffees. Definitely going to be back.“

“If you’re looking for comforting Korean food in the South Bay, Hansang Tofu in Milpitas is definitely worth a visit.

I tried both the seafood soft tofu soup and the Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew), and everything was satisfying. The soft tofu in the seafood soup was incredibly silky and delicate—exactly what you want from a great Sundubu-jjigae. While I personally found the seafood soup base at Shin’s Tofu House to be a bit heartier and more intensely flavorful, the version at Hansang Tofu was still absolutely delicious and something I’d happily order again.

The real standout for me was the Budae Jjigae. I actually prefer Hansang Tofu’s version because they don’t skimp on the ingredients. The pot was generously loaded with meats, vegetables, noodles, tofu, and all the good stuff, making every bite hearty and satisfying. It felt like a complete meal with plenty of variety in every serving.

Another thing that impressed me was the banchan. Hansang Tofu offers a wider and more craveable selection than many Korean restaurants I’ve visited. The tofu banchan was especially delicious, and the seasoned potatoes were so good that I kept reaching for more. Those little side dishes really elevated the entire meal.

Overall, Hansang Tofu delivers comforting Korean food with generous portions, excellent banchan, and one of my favorite Budae Jjigae dishes in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“I happened to find this place on my way to work and ended up coming two days in a row! The staff here are always so friendly and cheerful, which is honestly such a nice way to start the morning. I got a hot latte to go, and it was really good. I also love the location and how quick the service is. The drive-thru is such a great idea because it saves you from having to park, walk into a cafe, order, and wait around, especially when you’re in a hurry in the morning. I also love that they have a loyalty card where you buy 10 coffees and get the 11th one free. Definitely a nice touch! I’ll be back plenty of times to collect my free 11th coffee :)“

“Our family loves Sumiya Bento in Milpitas. We eat here all the time. Once a week if possible! The food quality and service has always been consistently top notch!

We have also ate at the Sumiya Bento location in Santa Clara several times, but we prefer the Milpitas location! The skewers at the Milpitas location has always been juicy and cooked just right. For some reason everytime we eat the skewers at their Santa Clara location it has been dry and too charred/burnt. Not sure why.

So definitely give Sumiya Bento Milpitas a try! You won't regret it.“

Had waygu meats/beef toro which all were very good and although it isn’t the highest quality meat I ever had (like A5 Waygu in Japan), I think you’re getting pretty close and it’s way cheaper. Also soda and dessert is included in the price as well! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy waygu shabu shabu without spending too much!“

“There are plenty of luosifen restaurants, but the ones I’ve been to are closed on a Tuesday. It is not the best Luosifen in south bay, cus I couldn’t find any luosi in the broth, but I love the fried soy skin on top of the noodles. There are limited variety of luosifun to choose from, it only goes with pork knuckles and chicken feet, but you could pair it with an appetizer. I ordered a crispy pork on the side with the original luosifen and it is a bit pricey if you order both. The restaurant also has an outdoor seating area which is more comfortable than other luosifen restaurants in town.“

Every time I've interacted with Lisa, she greets me with a genuine smile and provides outstanding customer service.

On one visit, another employee accidentally got my order wrong, and Lisa handled the situation with such professionalism, kindness, and grace that it completely changed my experience. Instead of leaving frustrated, I left impressed. I even went to Trader Joes & bought her a small plant.

I'm not a regular Starbucks customer, and sometimes it takes me a little longer to decide what I want & Lisa has never made me feel rushed or judged. Her patience, positive attitude, and welcoming personality are exactly why I keep coming back.

The prices of their drinks haven't risen like other chains, their tea is of high quality, and the staff make drinks in the fastest time.While there isn't much seating room inside, one can quickly order and grab and go. The staff speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English and one can either name the drinks or provide a number, and they incredibly know which number matches each drink.My favorite drink here is the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea with pearls; however, any milk teas from here taste delicious!“
