Based on the reviews, Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Bar is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the Bay Area. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, is spacious, and classically Mexican with framed paintings of Aztecs, faux adobe walls, and lovely chandeliers. The decor is warm and welcoming. The chips and salsa are a delight, with the chips having something extra, maybe a touch of lime. The service is great and solid. The staff seemed happy and well cared for. The food is delicious. The portions are generous and perfect, with plenty to take home. The steak ala Mexicana, shrimp al mojo de ajo, fajitas, chicken mole, and chicken enchilada are all good. The Tres Leches is very sweet and less moist. The salad with thousand island dressing was not very fresh and very sweet, so it is best to skip it. The Cadillac margarita was mediocre, so ordering off the specialty cocktail menu is recommended. Overall, it is a great place to dine for a great evening.
