“Thank you Ichika for presenting us with a really special night!!The servers were friendly and perfectly escorted us between dishes. I really appreciated our server helping us choose a sake: letting us taste some and recommending a carafe of our favorite. Also, since we sat at the sushi bar, we got to know the chefs! They were delightful and watching them prepare the courses was a bonus.I was very happy with the meal! Each dish was delicious and featured interesting, varying ingredients. While my favorites are always sashimi and sushi, my date prefers warm, prepared dishes. This menu suited us well since we had some of both. The atmosphere was lovely and clearly well thought out. The lighting was just right to see our beautiful plated dishes! We’re looking forward to returning in a few months. The chef said the menu changes every 3-4 months.“
“We came here for dinner and had an excellent meal. We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and the quality is consistently great every time. We ordered the three flavor home made chow mein, beef with green onions, cumin lamb, lamb with pickled cabbage warm pot, beef with pickled cabbage warm pot, bean curd casserole, black mushrooms with green cabbage, broccoli with oyster sauce, thin sesame bread with green onion, and thick sesame bread with green onion. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we will definitely keep coming back when we’re in the Bay Area!“
“This is not Vegas, but the presentation felt like it! Xian Steam Pot & Yakiniku took over the old Gen building in Milpitas. You have two dining options - Steam Pot or Yakiniku. Although the Steam Pot looked really interesting, we opted for the good ol' Japanese BBQ. This is not your everyday kind of JBBQ, but more of a place to come to for big celebrations.Fuji 富士 - $199 (serves 2-3 people)• Australian Wagyu BMS9 Short Loin• US Wagyu Gold Line Kalbi• US Wagyu Beef Tongue• US Wagyu Sirloin Steak• Kalbi Short Rib w/ Bone• Kurobuta Tontoro• Australian Lobster Tail• Garlic Shrimp• Veggie Plate (seasonal)• Clay Pot Wagyu Rice (MY FAV!! Soooo good, definitely the winner)“
“Been here multiple times. Great food always! You have to try their kare kare, chicken inasal and crispy pata. Always good amount of food that you can bring home for another meal (or two:-). We live 30 miles away but drive here if we are craving for kare kare. The servers are also great. They make sure that you have everything. Very friendly.“
“Went for lunch with a friend today. We didn't have to wait for a table but the restaurant was packed. It wasn't too noisy except for when the tables on both sides of us talked to each other in really loud voices. The service was excellent and the food was very good. You can eat as much as you want. ?“
“I tried their brand name flavor and Chongqing flavors, and both tasted good! The brand name one is a little sour and special, which is the same as I tried in Liu Roast Fish in LA haha. The Chongqing flavor didn't disappoint me (woohoo!) and tasted similar to my old memory in Chengdu.“
“Finding myself in the midst of a garden cleanup on a serene Sunday morning, my cravings for dimsum became impossible to ignore. Fortunately, DoorDash was there to save the day. With a few quick taps, my order was placed, and in what felt like the blink of an eye, a friendly DoorDash driver was greeting me at my door, handling my food with the utmost care and a smile that matched the sunny day.I had chosen eight different dishes, each promising a taste of Hong Kong’s authentic culinary landscape. And promise they did! The quality and flavors of the food were outstanding, capturing the essence of traditional Hong Kong dimsum with every bite. Whether it was the tender, flavorful dumplings, the perfectly steamed buns, or the savory rolls, each dish was a testament to the chef’s expertise and the rich culinary culture they represent. The fair pricing was the cherry on top, making this indulgent feast feel all the more satisfying. It’s not often that you find a place that delivers not only on taste but also on value, and this restaurant nailed it.For anyone looking to explore authentic dimsum or simply in need of a delicious meal without the hassle of dining out, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thanks to DoorDash, my Sunday gardening chore turned into an unexpected culinary adventure, making for a truly memorable morning. Five stars all around for the incredible food, swift delivery, and the joy of discovering a new favorite.“
“This place is inside a plaza, so there are plenty of parking spaces. We went there for a barbecue. The service was great and the staff helped us with the barbecue. We ordered the Marinated beef short ribs, sliced pork belly, and acorn noodles tossed with vegetables and soy sauce dressing, tofu soup. And they gave us a lot of small side dishes. The noodle dish was not recommended. Other than that, the barbecue was great.“
“I have to say that when the word "buffet" is added to any restaurant my expectations are lowered, with that being said....Shockingly good food for a buffet. Decent selection of items. The sushi...that's right I am saying the sushi at a buffet...was remarkably good. The service was hit and miss. The place was pretty busy and I didn't see them run out of anything.Solid choice for a buffet“
“Koi Palace in Milpitas is perpetually bustling, particularly on weekends, often with a wait of one to two hours for a table. While it offers high-quality dim sum, it comes at a steep price. For those willing to splurge, it's a worthwhile choice. However, San Francisco boasts better-priced and tastier alternatives but it’s a trek from the South Bay. Despite the crowds, the service remains commendable, though there may be long wait time during peak times.Parking in the plaza is usually hassle-free, surrounded by a variety of Asian eateries and businesses. Overall, I'd recommend it if you have both the budget and the patience.“
“Love the food here! Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Price are reasonable, they have a taco Thursday! 3 tacos for 5$, but you can only pick between sausage, barbecue pork, or fried pork I think! Not sure about the last one, but it’s only three options and they all are good! I don’t want to quote prices, but I’ll say it’s average! Great place to check out if you’re at the park and want to have some good food come check them out!P.S. that 7-11 don’t take EBT lol“
“Came here for Dim Sum lunch and got more than we bargained. In addition to Dim Sum, we tried their soup of the day (double boiled chicken with young coconut) and their lobster; both wonderful for way overkill for lunch. Dim Sum selection are on par with the rest of the high end Koi's Palace and Mayflower. On a Monday lunch rush, place was almost packed. You don't see that many wait staff, but the ones that work there are attentive to your needs. As typical with other Dim Sum place, expect a a lively lunch folks talking and laughing to remind you of the good old times. The chairs and tables are dated, and the carpet can use a good deep cleaning.“
“We love coming here, it is our favorite place for my daughter and my husband. We always leave happy with the food and the service. I don't give 5 stars because sometimes they bring us bread when we are about to come and that is supposed to happen when one arrives otherwise ok.Parking: It has a lot of parking and you don't have to pay for it.“
“Enjoyed everything we ordered from traditional dim sum dishes to lobster and fish. Never noticed anything particularly bad or good with the service. Ambience was lovely. The front doors constantly being propped open by thoughtless customers was very annoying which allowed a cold brisk wind to chill everyone waiting was very annoying.“
“This is the typical spacious seafood boil place with brews, a full bar, and TVs to watch games. They have happy hour and it definitely has a fun vibe without being too hectic as the tables are nicely spaced. The bib with the crab is too cute and they have a large metal bucket on the floor for your shellings. We went for the weekday lunch specials but they also have $1 oysters on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.Between the two soup options, I liked the Cajun chowder better than the gumbo which is a rare occurence. The $13 shrimp seafood boil had 9 pieces of very large shrimp which is better than what I usually see. I got medium spicy which tasted mild, so you can definitely crank the spiciness up a notch. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the fried oysters. They were quite small and had a lot of breading. The service was amazing from the hostess who helped me adjust my hair clip to the two servers.“
