“My friend who hates Cajun food recommended it and it was worth the try. This place uses a dry rub seasoning so it’s not as saucy but it is very worth it. Came on a Tuesday and got 2 dozen of the $1.50 oysters and they were really fresh and delicious. Their lunch special is a good deal and service is really nice. It is a newer place on Cupertino Main Street so parking can be difficult depending on the day. I love how when you get the side of sausages it come with more than just 3-4 pieces unlike other Cajun places. Crawfish were big and you get a trash bucket for your shells. Overall it’s a good place to try if you’re in the area.“

“One Fish absolutely lived up to the hype. I love that the menu changes constantly with the seasons, so there’s always a reason to come back. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtful, and packed with interesting flavor combinations that somehow just worked.

I mixed hot and cold dishes and everything was outstanding. The oysters with their accompaniments were incredibly fresh, the halibut and kanpachi were beautifully prepared, and the fried chicken with sauce and caviar was one of the most unexpectedly delicious bites I’ve had in a long time. The sake selection was excellent as well.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. Great music, a clean and intentional space, and genuinely friendly service. Walked in without a reservation, but it’s nice that they can accommodate both walk-ins and reservations.

Chef Owner Trent was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he’s creating. Skipped the omakase this visit, but after this meal it’s at the top of my list for next time. One Fish is inventive without being pretentious, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to every month to see what’s new.“

“Another one of my go-to spots for fresh Mexican seafood in San Jose! This is a food truck you definitely don’t want to pass up. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and you can really taste the quality in every bite.
My personal favorite is the burrito, but the tostada is an absolute must-try too!
The owner/cook is always friendly, welcoming, and great to talk to, which makes the experience even better. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating in a comfortable, relaxed setting, making it a great place to enjoy your meal.“

“We went to Surmai yesterday and honestly, the food was fabulous. We tried the prawn thali, the special thali, and the paplet thali, and every single dish hit the mark. We ended up so full we could barely move, but in the best way possible.

Chef Sheetal came by our table and was so warm and welcoming, it made the whole experience even better. You can tell there’s real care that goes into the food here.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great meal with genuinely good hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!“

ONLY get dishes from the weekly specials else it is too expensive. The pork bone soup is good, more spices than the old location. Get ready to use your hands. Beef roll has actually good beef, sometimes other places is just unseasoned fat.

“I came around 9:30am on a Tuesday (hours on here may be off lol) it was empty I came in ordered as I waited I noticed how clean and comfortable the inside was! The atmosphere was relaxed and they had chill music! When my food came I was pleasantly surprised! I got a Chicken Katsu plate came with Rice and Mac Salad as well as two eggs on top! The only thing I would change is the sauce on the side I prefer to dip but it was delicious! I also got a Chicken BBQ Musubi this was good as well very saucy and flavorful! Finally I got a Shrimp Taco 🤩 this was SO SO GOOD I loved the slaw and sauce it came with I can’t wait to come back and try more of the seafood dish’s!
