“We had the Kaiseki experience at Hachi Ju Hachi, and it was exceptional. Our table was in a small room next to the kitchen, connected by an open pass-through where Chef Suzuki prepared parts of our meal and engaged with us throughout the evening.

Every course was beautifully presented and delicious. The smoked cod was a standout, even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy cod. The aged gari, miso soup, and a snapper soup with matsutake mushrooms were all excellent.

Service pacing was perfect, and the whole evening felt calm, thoughtful, and memorable. Highly recommended.“

“My gf and I got 1 lb of snow crab, half lb of clams, half lb of shrimp, extra potatoes and corn with their signature Loui sauce. They give a free side if you get 2 lbs+ of seafood. We got the garlic noodles which was amazing with their seafood boil. If you like garlic, this is a must have! The food was fantastic and atmosphere was great. Service was standard - no complaints!“

“One Fish absolutely lived up to the hype. I love that the menu changes constantly with the seasons, so there’s always a reason to come back. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtful, and packed with interesting flavor combinations that somehow just worked.

I mixed hot and cold dishes and everything was outstanding. The oysters with their accompaniments were incredibly fresh, the halibut and kanpachi were beautifully prepared, and the fried chicken with sauce and caviar was one of the most unexpectedly delicious bites I’ve had in a long time. The sake selection was excellent as well.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. Great music, a clean and intentional space, and genuinely friendly service. Walked in without a reservation, but it’s nice that they can accommodate both walk-ins and reservations.

Chef Owner Trent was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he’s creating. Skipped the omakase this visit, but after this meal it’s at the top of my list for next time. One Fish is inventive without being pretentious, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to every month to see what’s new.“

“This place is so yummy!! Everything we ordered was delicious . The leftovers tasted even better the next day. The service was great. He attentive but not bugging us every few minutes.
It's a bit loud but that's because it's always packed with people.
The one bummer about this place is the bathrooms. They are always gross. They are wet and dark. But I'm still going to keep going there.“

It goes without notice the effort this restaurant makes to create a sense of community: DJ nights, guest chefs, wine club, run club – all specially designed to bring people together. I never write reviews, but this jewel deserves all the accolades. Beyond the electric atmosphere, the vast natural wine selections paired with novel cuisine make every visit an experience that elevates my palate. The carefully crafted dishes show the detail chef Alex gives to every order. Diverse ingredients embrace a fusion of cultures, with familiar dishes like Caesar salad (Endive Caesar @ Goodtime), pasta (Bucatini @ Goodtime), and shrimp tacos (Tacos Dorados @ Goodtime) delivering a magical explosion of flavors. I tend to find myself methodically portioning out my meal - not wanting to reach that one last bite from my plate. “I've known Pacific Catch for as long as I can remember, so we were happy when they opened in the newly renovated Sunnyvale downtown area.

We've been here a couple of times and both visits were consistent with what we expected. Good ambience, good service, and good food. The ingredients tasted fresh and the service was prompt. If you are looking for more authentic flavors and less Americanized food, there are plenty of other solid options, but it's convenient to have Mexican, Asian, and other flavors under one roof.

On our recent visit, we tried the Firecracker Salmon sushi, the Mexican bowl with shrimp, and a Modelo Negra to go with it. The flavors were mild, but the meal was enjoyable overall. We ended with a nice Hawaiian Sundae to complete the meal and it was quite good. Shout out to Marvin for the good service.

“I came here and ordered a kimchi raice bowl with skirt steak and brussel sprouts, there was also cucumber and as a person who hates cucumbers I can say I loved these and the brussel sprouts were absolutely delectable everything was amazing and fresh. Jesus was my server and he took very good care of me, my cup was never empty and I wasn't waiting forever to check out.“
